Review: A nail biting suspense, especially as all the pieces of this legal thriller start to lock into place. This book had my rapt attention from start to finish, as I found myself grumbling, panting, and shouting, “Hell no you didn’t!” at so many of the characters!

This is a legal suspense/mystery along the lines of The Firm but with some very hot lead m/m sexual relationships. The way the author handled the PoV, dialogue tags, and actions was the only thing holding me back from that last half star. There was a lot of he did this, and she did that, I’m a fan of show not tell, but once I got past that little blip, holy hell! I was angry at the main characters, I wanted to hate them, I wanted to love them, I felt pity for them, and I felt envy, so many emotional gambits!

Joseph Van Aardt is a powerful attorney, with looks and smarts to enough to knock a man dead. His powerful and swift seduction would surely knock me off my feet. I felt like Ryan didn’t stand a chance. The sexual heat was very intense and the fireworks between the two were enough to burn down Manhattan. I must admit the descriptions of the erotic scenes were a bit fade to black, but I have a great imagination and the twisted and fast-moving plot made up for it.

The layers of foreshadowing, innuendo, and off scene actions add up to a mounting, shocking ending! In fact it’s so mind bending I’m left confused as to whether or not this is a standalone story or if this is a cliff hanger and I should be awaiting the next book on bated breath. If all you’re looking for is a bit of shallow titillation, don’t bother. But if you love a good mystery, and enjoy the whole legal drama/thriller, don’t pass this book up!!! It’s a must buy!

Review: When Alec meets Jared, a chain of events begins that brings heartache and horror into his world. Alec is dragged from his safe world when a secret from his mother’s past comes calling, and that secret is determined to get what he wants. As his friends and family are brutally attacked Alec struggles with what is happening and even as he gets close to Jared he still finds it hard to accept the fanciful truth that Jared tells him, but Alec will have to face the truth and trust Jared if he is to beat the evil that stalks him.

This is a brilliant paranormal horror story that has pretty graphic details and a wonderful storyline. Jared discovered first-hand what Alec faces and is hoping to help Alec before tragedy strikes, but he wants more than to be just friends. Alec doesn’t know what to believe but he can’t keep away from Jared, now they face a danger that comes from the past, a past that his mother has kept well hidden. The police are looking into the disappearances of numerous people and brutal killings and there is a link to a body missing from the morgue…. and Alec, but there is no way the police would ever believe the truth even if Alec did know what was going on.

I really enjoyed this story; it called to that part of me that enjoys horror and gore. This brilliant storyline starts as boy gets set up with boy and hits it off, it then quickly moves on with the danger and horror seeping in and we discover secrets of the past. There’s a whole host of characters who are involved in this story and all their parts are important and whose point of view we also see the story from, we have Ilene (Alec’s mother) who made a mistake that now haunts her, we have Lucy (Alec’s sister) who is dragged into the horror along with her boyfriend Rene. Then we have the police detectives who are trying to piece together the clues in their cases where Alec’s name keeps cropping up.

This story is so far from your typical werewolf story. In fact, if you are looking for a sweet fluffy read with wolves finding mates and living happily ever after, after a bit of angst and conflict then don’t even think of picking up this book. But if you want something that’s dark and dangerous with bloodshed and horror then this story is a must.

I loved how this story was written, you get pulled into the story from the first pages, and it makes you keep turning the pages even when you know something horrific is coming. We see an astonishing amount of emotions in this story with guilt, fear, anger, horror, grief and heartbreak being the main contenders, we do see some happiness but not much as events seem to steamroll out of control.

The werewolf in this story is the stuff of nightmares, returning to the original folklore of them in the past where they were true monsters. This story is a part of something bigger, as you learn throughout the book, and even as they have a semblance of a happy ending you know it is far from over for them all.

I have to recommend this to those that love horror, dark paranormal, a brilliant storyline, great characters, a love that evolves even with danger and horror raining down, and an ending that makes you wonder that comes next.

Blurb: Visiting his sister Mary at the lighthouse should be a delightful vacation for Elliot–except he’s going there in disgrace while he awaits his fate from the wizard council.

Mary’s assistant, Rue, is a gentle, self-possessed young man about Elliot’s age. Elliot is drawn to him, and his magic seems to calm down around the handsome and mysterious Rue. Elliot sinks gratefully into the unexpected grace of Rue’s kindness and friendship. He doesn’t understand why his magic is broken or why it feels whole again around Rue. But right now he’s just trying to survive, grateful for the reprieve Rue’s friendship provides.

But then a potential tragedy on the beach culminates in Rue revealing his true nature: he’s a Selkie, both man and seal, with a magic that somehow complements and heals Elliot’s when they’re together. And that might not be possible for much longer.

Review: Elliot is a young wizard who was looking forward to his new job, but after a terrible accident his magic is unstable and he visits his sister Mary while awaiting his fate from the Wizard council. Elliot meets Mary’s assistant, Rue, who is a lovely young man who has secrets of his own and seems able to calm Elliot’s magic, but as the Wizard Council comes to a decision, will they listen to the two young men or will Elliot’s broken magic be too great a danger?

This is a lovely gentle story that is set in a little fishing village with a strong historical feel to it and we have two young men who both come from magic and a connection that settles both their souls. Elliot is a young man who is severely troubled, his magic has broken, and keeping control is proving hard, when he meets Rue just being close to the other man helps to settle the magic. Rue finds himself working at the lighthouse as an assistant after his family basically turn their backs on him, Finding someone who could accept his nature is something he never dreamed of, but Elliot is the answer to his silent prayers.

Elliot and Rue are a wonderful couple whose relationship starts out as a friendship where love blooms, but it is a gentle love, an innocent love that develops slowly. Elliot isn’t sure if he wants a physical relationship but the love he feels won’t let him shy away from the possibility, whereas Rue has his own reasons from keeping their relationship platonic. Their feelings for each other shine through especially near the end when Elliot is given the Wizard Council’s decision.

While I liked the storyline of the mystery of what happened to Elliot’s magic, I was enthralled by the setting and innocent love between Elliot and Rue, their determination to protect each other and to accept whatever they have between them as it comes. I loved the descriptions of the wild storms and how it affected Elliot, the loss of control and his desperate feelings as he fought within himself with his magic. This story is one that has an old feel to it, like it was set two hundred years ago and where magic is accepted, but Selkies are still thought of as more of a myth.

I recommend this to those who love fantasy and history combining, a gentle love story, determination to get the truth and accepting love in all its forms… oh and a happy ending.

The tense journey across England tests Alec and Kit’s growing feelings for each other, while forcing Robert to confront unresolved guilt over past loyalties and actions. Just when escape seems within reach, the Sun League closes in, and the three friends face a desperate battle to evade the awful fate in store for them.

Review: This story is part of a series and best read in order. Kit and his friends and rescuers Alec and Robert are on the run from two powerful factions, the Lord Chancellor’s City Guard and the criminal Sun League. Staying ahead of them as they flee is difficult and they have to be weary of being sold out, Alec turns to an old friend, Jamie, for aid and he gives them the perfect solution to their immediate problems but first Alec, Robert and Kit must get to Boston and the ship which awaits them. Each man must face the past and resolve their feelings for what has happened in the past and Kit and Alec act on their attraction for each other, but the Sun League close in and they have to act quickly to avoid the fate that awaits them.

This is a really good historical story that pulls you into the fourteenth century and weaves a tale of trust and justice. Kit has placed his life in the hands of the guards that first captured him; he is now on the run with them from both the Lord Chancellor and the Sun League with no idea how the three of them can outrun two powerful factions. Alec has some idea what to do but needs help, he heads to his old friend Jamie for aid, and Jamie helps him as much as he can with his disapproving mother looking over his shoulder. Robert is a loyal man and he sticks with Alec a man he knows to be honorable and honest, having his back and bringing rescue when they are facing death.

This is a chase across the country as Alec and Robert seek to protect a man who has had no say in his own life for three years, a man who was to be sacrificed because of the pride of the Lord Chancellor, a man who can trust no one, and now they seek freedom for all of them. They face opposition from those that were friends, sword fights, and fleas. I really liked that Alec and Kit wait before consummating their relationship, both men understood that the other had scars deeper than those on the surface, all the characters are really well written and I enjoyed getting to know them better.

Following their journey across the country is interesting and not just because of flight but also because of the wealth of history and the world building that was put into this story. It sets the stage perfectly for a hard journey dodging enemies and never knowing who can be trusted, not knowing if family and friends will turn on you, and knowing that running into the wrong person will be the end and that men in power are vindictive and cruel, with very little hope of forgiveness if caught. The Measure of a Man truly shows exactly how these three men measure up and if I ever find myself fleeing across fourteenth century England with enemies nipping at my heels these three are the ones I want at my back.

I recommend this to those who love historicals, men who will do anything for justice, vindictive men who seek revenge, loyalty and hope and a happy for now ending.

Review: A.C. Katt has written a pretty awesome book. I love the way the characters just mix it up.

The way Bull acts around twinks and his comments make you stop and want to just smack him upside the head. I have never really understood the BDSM scene but you slowly understand it when you read this story. I love the way Jamie is so open with his feelings but what I love more is the fact that he actually stands up to Bull.

Bull use to be in the marine’s and had a man he had been sleeping with, however when he had ended it the man decided to get revenge. It was the time when it was against all rules to be gay in the military. He had been pushed out of the military and was bitter for it. A bitterness that he took out on anyone that even resembled a twink. Jamie not only looked like a twink he resembled the same jerk that had hurt his career. He was downright nasty to Jamie, and Jamie was feeling worse by the minute because of it.

All their friends were helping get these two together, because even while Bull was acting as if he hated him you could tell there was something there to fight for. He was very slowly losing his heart to Jamie, but just couldn’t say it out right. However when the dangers came for Jamie Bull does everything he can to protect him, but he couldn’t protect his heart from fully falling in love with this hot and sexy man.

It takes losing Jamie forever at an auction, to make Bull see what he was going to lose. I loved this story even more, because I could see the way each man felt for the other. It was a bitter story with a happy ending. I will definitely be recommending this story to anyone who was into BDSM, two hot and sexy men with attitudes, danger, and excitement. It doesn’t hurt that there is some very hot sex that will set the sheets on fire.

Blurb: Standing on a cold, dark bridge in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night was actually progress for Jack. Exhausted, no food, no coat, no real life to speak of, what was the point?

Jack is on the run from an abusive ex-lover when Sam, the Chief of Police of the tiny town of Stonefield, shows up. Sam takes Jack in, feeds him, gives him a bed, and offers him time to heal. Even so, Jack is still surprised how strongly attracted he is to the tall, muscular lawman. After two years with Trevor, he had thought that part of his heart was long dead. It hardly matters, though. He can’t stay in one place too long.

Sam is content taking care of his small town. Sure, he’s alone, but that doesn’t mean he’s lonely. Besides, his tiny town doesn’t offer up much in the way of potential partners–until Jack shows up. Suddenly Sam will do anything to get Jack to stay, which means he will need to show Jack he can be trusted to protect him.

But Trevor isn’t finished with Jack yet and with a little bit of detective work, he’s going to find him…

Review: Jack flees for his life when his lover attacks him yet again. Jack knows it’s different this time and he ends up States away, hoping that his ex-lover won’t find him. Bruised, tired, and hungry, Jack wonders what he has to live for. Sam, Chief of Police, takes pity on the young man he finds on a bridge and takes him home. He fights his attraction to give Jack time to trust him and can only hope he can have the relationship he wishes for. As they get to know each other, both fall hard. And as Jack, finds the life he always longed for, Sam is there encouraging him every step of the way. But Trevor isn’t about to let Jack walk free, and does a little sleuthing of his own with deadly intent.

This is a great story where two men find each other and discover the perfect partner. But it is fraught with nightmares, as one is recovering from an abusive relationship. Both Jack and Sam are great characters. Sam is the alpha male who wants to save and protect and Jack is the submissive male who wants to be loved and cherished. Together they make an explosive, hot couple who, once they embark on a relationship, really heat up the sheets… and the shower. Sam is amazing as he encourages Jack to spread his wings. And it shows just how secure he is in himself, because, man, Sam is possessive and protective. A true alpha male who takes control, but is gentle about it. Jack is clearly of the submissive nature, needing someone to firmly encourage and guide him. Put Jack and Sam together and you have a perfect couple. As you know, crazy abusive assholes want to punish the one who stood up to them. They want to show them who is boss and Trevor certainly fits into that mold.

I really liked how the abusive relationship was handled. With Jack at first making excuses and then acknowledging how destructive it was. And then finally Jack accepting that he wasn’t at fault and reprimanding himself over staying for so long. You can clearly see the process as it develops. And you cheer Jack as he accepts the help offered to him. The entire storyline is great and I thought the author handled Jack’s nightmares and fears well, Hurri Cosmo didn’t write a miraculous recovery, no Hurri wrote about the fears and nightmares and the instinctual reactions that a sufferer of abuse has. The storyline is well written and moves along swiftly. We get to know the characters pretty well. And although their relationship progresses quickly, it felt natural and not forced.

I recommend this to those who adore stories of finding the love you deserve, encouragement and safety, great characters, some danger and a wonderful happy ending.

Blurb:The British Empire reigns supreme, and its young Queen Victoria has expanded her realm to St. Francisco, a bustling city of English lords and Chinese ghettos. St. Francisco is a jewel in the Empire’s crown and as deeply embroiled in the conflict between the Arcane and Science as its sister city, London—a very dark and dangerous battle.

Marcus Stenhill, Viscount of Westwood, stumbles upon that darkness when he encounters a pack of young bloods beating a man senseless. Westwood’s duty and honor demand he save the man, but he’s taken aback to discover the man is Robin Harris, a handsome young inventor indirectly responsible for the death of Marcus’s father.

Living in the shadows following a failed coup, Robin devotes his life to easing others’ pain, even though his creations are considered mechanical abominations of magicks and science. Branded a deviant and a murderer, Robin expects the viscount to run as far as he can—and is amazed when Marcus reaches for him instead.

Review: God I love Steampunk, but this novella is not merely that. In this, world science and arcane magick exist together on two different paths. However, it’s a taboo to mix them. That is until a brilliant young engineer falls victim of greed and his creations are turned into horrible tools of destruction and mayhem.

Marcus saw his father die from one such creation, a horrible death that shattered the entire family and left a bone deep grief in his soul. He moved on with his duties as the Duke’s son, now a Viscount, and keeps his father’s teachings deep in his heart. One of the most important teachings his father left him with is that those that can help should do so no matter who is in need of it. Thus, Marcus ends one dark night helping a man who was being beaten to death by three young gents. It is like this the story starts, with Fate smirking upon the son of a man murdered by the creation of the man he rescues. Because the victim of the beating is none other than the young scientist, Robin Harris.

Now Robin as a character is fascinating. His depiction wants you drooling over and over again. His life makes your heart hurt and stutter, and the need to shelter him from the world becomes real. He has suffered and continues to suffer due to people’s greed and their taking advantage of him and his genius. But for me, the true shining character here was Marcus. This character is strong in many ways. He is of noble blood yet he is not arrogant and the fact that he continues to help Robin despite the fact that Robin killed his father by proxy, makes Marcus charming beyond restriction.

These men each have their world where they live in and these worlds are too far apart. It’s because of that, that the story gains so much value when they mesh together. In a time when a man craves the love of another man is deemed unnatural and abominable, when loving a man might end the life, as you know it, their relationship becomes even more precious.

I loved how the story was told, I loved the fact that the pair didn’t jump straight into each other’s arms, and I loved the time given to these men to come together. I admit though that as the end of the novella approached and they still hadn’t made that final step I became anxious. The anticipation ratcheted my agony up in levels that I didn’t think this little novella was capable of. I reached the point where I started muttering under my breath about when would Marcus just freaking kisses Robin for crying aloud. Yes, patience is not my strong point. When they did come together though it was splendid. I loved every sensuous line, and every emotion emerging from the text. It was a fine release of all that tension that was building and building throughout the read. Made me wish for more and even as the story concluded with the most satisfying end, the need for more didn’t relent. I just loved this couple immensely.

I also got smitten with the Duchess. Oh, God was she one awesome creature. Her “tantrum” oh dear, was fantastic, hilarious as hell. That damn porcelain dog managed to survive in the end didn’t it? She was a real character indeed.

Bottom end this was a delicious story, wholesome in every way you see it, and leaves you with a sense of the world being as it should be and a big smile on your face. The only wrong thing I find in it was the cover, because come on, you have the little crow right there, Robin with his gorgeous long black hair and pale skin, and you don’t use him. That would have been perfect. *sigh*
Strongly recommended to all fans of Steampunk!

Blurb:Ronny Parker has always been aware that there was more to life outside of his Harlem apartment. When he goes to work one morning at Starbucks, he finds himself coming face to face with a reality that he was not prepared for. He finds himself the eyewitness to a fight between two shifters, a wolf, and a lion, one of which bites Ronny and calls him “mate.” When Ronny wakes up the next morning, he finds himself thrust into a world neither his family, nor his teachers ever taught him about and he does the only thing he can do. He starts to investigate.

Cole Tronk has been taught from an early age that he is never to mate a human, never reveal his true nature to a human and that he cannot be gay. But when he gets into a fight with his oldest friend outside of a Starbucks and finds himself smelling the most intoxicating scent ever, he throws all of those rules out of the window. Before long, Cole and his mate, Ronny are on the run from the governing body of the paranormals, humans who have now discovered that paranormals, magicks and supernaturals exist, and someone from Ronny’s past who is determined to kill them both.

Along the way, Cole and Ronny meet up with a group of paranormals, magicks, and supernaturals who are also gay, and who are researching the true history of the world and creation. What they find will not only change their lives, but the entire world and the future. Will Ronny and Cole’s mating survive all of these obstacles and when a millennias old lie comes back to bite them in the ass, will Ronny and Cole be able to deal with the consequences?

Review: Well this one is definitely new and quite enjoyable.

I loved the way that Cole and Ronny had found each other. Ronny had gone to work only to hear a fight in the back. Wasn’t he surprise to see his coworker and another man fighting, but that was not the only thing that shocked him. His friend and coworker had wolf paws and the man he was fighting had lion paws. Cole was a lion shifter fighting with his best friend, till the best scent came to him. He had found his mate. Biting Ronny and bonding them together in his mind was the best thing ever, till Benjamin points out that he has also cursed them. For in their world it is death to those who show any human what they are, to be gay and to mate a human.

Ronny, Cole and Benjamin are in danger from all the packs, prides, and other paranormal alpha’s. They are being hunted for being mated and for letting the humans know. However, the humans had let everyone else know, so now they were being hunted by humans and the government. They managed to find a group of shifters, witches, elves, fae, and many others who were being hunted also.

What really shocked them was that a book had appeared in Cole’s library before they left, telling them of their past. The original bible shows how paranormals and humans at one time had been expected until the great flood. They also find out that their mates, whether male or female can get pregnant so can you imagine Ronny’s expression when that happens to him.

This story is amazing. It shows what happens when people are full of hate. Hate for skin color, religion, sexual orientation, and now paranormals. They fear what they don’t know and there is a few that will help the fight that is about to come. I have never understood why people have to hate others for such stupid reasons and why they see the need to harm and kill them. I love the fact that Ronny is the one who will lead the war to rescue his new family. Or at least start the fight for freedom. Even though Cole is the alpha in their relationship, Ronny is the one that will do the fighting. It is pretty amazing twist to this story.

I would definitely be recommending this story to anyone who loves paranormal romance, shifters, sexy men, and hot sex. I also would recommend it because it has a war for freedom, one to help equality and love for one another. There is danger, excitement, adventure, and true love in this story.

NYPD homicide detective Tristan Blake comes from old money, which he loathes and an idealistic streak burns within him to do a job that serves a purpose. A previous lover scorned him as a time when he was most vulnerable, after the death of friend, and Tristan is slow to trust what appears to a developing relationship between him and Brian.

Beer tasting, a broken window, a fall down a flight of stairs, a grenade and a violent attack on Brian, what do these all have in common? Each one brings Tristan an inch closer to trusting Brian with his heart.

Review: This is a collection of ten short stories all bundled into one nice package. I absolutely love Brian and Tristan. Two hot and sexy men overcoming all doubts and heartache and turning them into gifts of love and passion. I loved how Tristan has to overcome his trust issues to allow himself into falling in love with the sexy architect Brian. A.R. has a wonderful gift for storytelling. She gives you characters that you can believe in and stand beside. Ones you will fall in love with and cheer them when they need it. That is exactly what I did too when Tristan doesn’t trust Brian not to hurt him. I was cheering Brian on through the whole story.

Crimson Regret ♥♥♥♥4 Hearts

Brian sets out for a Halloween party dressed as the devil, but he’s not expecting to get up to anything wicked, not until he meets Zorro. Zorro is exactly what Brian needs, and everything Brian can handle. But masks and intrigue are the game on Halloween; if Brian doesn’t uncover Zorro’s true identity, how will he ever find him again?

Oh, this one is amazing. It has some bad puns, great costumes and two sexy men. Not to mention a little hot action in a closet. Which is a bit strange because you come out of the closet after telling everyone you are gay and here they go into the closet to get some hot action? Two very talented mouths.

I would definitely be recommending this story. If you love a detective and an architect, sexy men, bad puns and the closet then this story would be one you would love to read. I cannot wait to read book two, because it shows the whole story of these wonderful men. Brian goes to a Halloween party that his friend is throwing and meets sexy Tristan. Although he hadn’t known his name till his friends husband lets him know who he is. He is absolutely wanting to get to know more of this hot man.

A Taste of Darkness ♥♥♥♥ 4 Hearts

When Brian met Tristan at a Halloween party in Crimson Regret, they were in disguise. Tristan might be a detective, but Brian’s the one who does the investigating and tracks Tristan down for a date. The chemistry is as good as ever, but Tristan brings with him a shadow that leaves Brian in the dark when it comes to making things right.

This story would make a grown man cry. It was so heart breaking what a detective has to deal with. I couldn’t believe Tristan had to deal with things like that and to see it would tear anyone up. Brian invites Tristan out for beer and they end up back at Brian’s. After some hot sex, Brian is left with questions on why Tristan is the way he is. After seeing the paper, he understands.

I absolutely loved this story and can see how hard it is for someone who is a police officer to get over certain things. I cannot wait to see where their future leads. I am so pleased with book one and two that I can imagine book three is going to be awesome.

I would recommend this story to anyone who wants to see two men showing a little emotion. It is a wonderful read.

A Glimpse Inside ♥♥♥♥4Hearts

Brian isn’t sure if he and Tristan are dating, but they’re definitely seeing each other again. Tristan has always been quiet about his personal and professional life; Brian understands the latter; Tristan’s job as a homicide detective doesn’t make for light talk, but that doesn’t mean Brian doesn’t want to know more about Tristan. A little persistence goes a long way when Brian’s brief foray into Tristan’s home turns into a brief glimpse of Tristan’s life and how he became the man who Brian can’t let slip away.

Brian and Tristan are hot and heavy but Brian doesn’t really know if they are dating or just hooking up. You can tell by the way Tristan talks that in his heart he wants more, but he seems scared to try. Whereas Brian definitely wants Tristan for more than just a hookup or a couple of hours here and there.

It is told with such a tender tone. The sex is definitely heating up, but it still feels like one night stands. It does show you that there will be more, however it also tells you that you need patience to get to the really good juicy stuff. I love the way that Brian and Tristan are slowly trusting each other with some of the smaller stuff.

I would recommend reading this story because it will make you smile and sigh. It is a wonderful little story and it leads you to another story that should be just as great if not better. You get to see what is going to happen when you cross your fingers.

Windows and Walls ♥♥♥♥4 Hearts

Broken windows and damaged walls need mending in Tristan Blake’s turn of the century brownstone. Who better than Tristan’s new boyfriend architect Brian Townsend to aid in the repair? But there are more things broken in Tristan’s life than just a window. Running late, without time to change for a party the two are planning to attend, Tristan picks up Brian still wearing his police dress blues. Frisking might only be the beginning to hotter events.

Oh, now we are getting somewhere, Tristan and Brian still have a ways to go but now it seems that Brian might get his man. I loved this story just as much as the first three. Tristan has such a big heart and he is just learning to slowly feel something for Brian, although it is not said you can just feel it.

The sex just seems to get even better with these two. And Brian has this thing for men in uniform. Well he isn’t the only one. I would be a slave to a man in uniform, which makes these stories just hotter knowing that there is a sexy man wearing it. You can also tell that each man has deeper feelings, big hearts, and tender lives. I would definitely be recommending this book to anyone who is looking for a story that will keep you smiling and wishing these two men love forever.

Head Over Hills ♥♥♥♥4 Hearts

Tristan Blake’s job as a homicide detective is occasionally dangerous, but Brian tends to think of that danger in terms of guns and knives. When Tristan shows up on Brian’s doorstep late one night, injured by a tumble down a flight of subway steps while chasing a suspect, Brian is shocked by the damage. Will Brian’s gentle care allow Tristan to edge another emotional inch closer to his lover?

Injured in an arrest, Tristan seeks out Brian for help. What he gets is an open, caring, and wonderful man. Brian not only brings him in but also tells him that he will be there for him no matter what. Tristan slowly opens up to let Brian know who had hurt him emotionally and of course, Brian wants to tear the man apart.

It is heating up and I love that about this story. It is amazing and I cannot get enough of it. I look forward to reading the next story in this wonderful book. It tells you about two very hot and sexy men, tender kisses, heartbreaking stories and some water play.

I would recommend this story to anyone looking for a little tenderness and two very sexy men. I can’t wait to read the next story telling about these wonderful men.

Police Navidad  ♥♥♥♥4Hearts

Detective Tristan Blake spends Christmas day at work. This is a conscious choice on his part, because it provides him with a magnificently convenient excuse to avoid his unsupportive family. It’s an equally planned choice to spend Christmas night with his lover Brian Townsend. Dinner with friends of Brian’s is followed by a heartfelt gift exchange at Tristan’s brownstone, but when the morning brings a visit from Tristan’s furious mother, can Brian weather the storm?

Now Tristan’s family needs to be hung from the rafters. What a hateful person it is who treats their family like crap for loving someone they don’t approve of. I have never understood parents. When you are given a child you are supposed to love them unconditionally and just because they love men, you put conditions on your love. That is so totally wrong.

Brian finally tells Tristan how he feels about him and it seems to be heading that away with Tristan. I love the tender way Brian cares for Tristan. It shows that he loves him even more than the words do. It makes me cry with the way they feel. I love the way these two men act with each other.

You have got to read this book. You will fall in love with these two very sexy men in a heartbeat. They are caring, open and so very loving that you can’t help but feel deeply about them. I cannot wait to read the next story.

Auld Acquaintance  ♥♥♥♥4 Hearts

Brian and Tristan, architect and cop, are still feeling their way toward a serious relationship. Tristan, a bit of a renegade from his upper-class moneyed family, avoids the party circuit as much as possible. To please Brian, he agrees to go to an exclusive up-scale New Year’s Eve party. Unfortunately, Tristan’s narcissistic ex-boyfriend, Eric, attends the same party. Ex-lovers really can be trouble!

I hate cruel exes, especially when they are messing with the boyfriend. It just shows you how stupid people can be. It also makes me happy when that ex see’s that the man he left behind has not only found someone else but someone better.

It is cute that Tristan wants to beat the crap out of Eric for hurting his man. I can’t help but fall in love with these two very sexy men. You can just feel the love coming from them. It makes you smile just reading this book. I am so glad to have had the chance to read these wonderful stories.

Tabled Discussions  ♥♥♥♥4 Hearts

Brian Townsend is looking forward to the weekend. He and his lover, Tristan Blake, are finally going to use the weekend reservations at a popular B&B that Tristan had given Brian for Christmas. It’s not quite Valentine’s Day, but Brian has packed a few extras to make their weekend special. The timing is excellent because Tristan’s job as a homicide detective has made it difficult for the two men to spend time together lately. Sometimes though, old baggage can interpose itself despite the best intentions of everyone concerned. Some wounds just take longer than a day or two to heal–even with a large dose of love and patience. Brian isn’t going to let go, but how far will Tristan let him in this time?

Even with the titles of the books, you can tell that there are a lot of bad puns. I can’t help but laugh at them. Each story just gets better and better what with these two sexy men finding themselves more in love than ever. Although it is not said by, Tristan you can tell by his actions that he is falling in love with Brian.

I have noticed that even though you know that Tristan was treated wrongly by not only his family but by his ex, he seems to be in so much more of a need to love than Brian. Although Brian says it first and shows it in all of his actions. It just seems that Tristan needs it more. I love that about the strong detective. His feelings are on his sleeve, even when he is hurting or angry Brian can calm Tristan down and get him to smile.

Brian also seems to want to help decorate Tristan’s house. I love this book and cannot wait to read the next book.

Pulling the Pin  ♥♥♥♥4Hearts

Brian is overseeing the remodel of a 40’s era home when he and his crew find someone’s souvenir from World War II: a grenade. When Tristan, Brian’s cop boyfriend, stops by with a friend from the bomb squad to check and see if their find is the real deal, Tristan gets a whole different perspective on Brian. A hardhat, work boots, denim, and flannel are not just a whole lot of sexy on the normally more professionally dressed Brian. They are kind of tough looking too. Maybe Brian can handle all the parts of Tristan’s life, even the tough bits. Sometimes, the small things can lead to some pretty big changes.

Well this had almost been an explosive day for Brian. Working on an old home they came across a grenade. I would have loved to see Tristan’s expression when Brian calls him for help. It would have been funny as hell.

I love the way they seem to be growing together. Seeing the compassion, tenderness and love each man has for the other just makes me smile. It is so breath-taking to know that two strong men can feel so much for the other and actually show it in their actions. I loved this story. In fact, as each story grows I love the next one even more.

Vulnerability  ♥♥♥♥4 Hearts

Sometimes it takes an unexpected disaster to transform a perspective. Brian Townsend forgets some architectural plans that he needs for a project. He makes the mistake of going back and getting them–in a risky part of town, at night. Tristan Blake’s heart stops when he gets an emergency cell call from his lover Brian. When his heart starts beating again, Tristan’s view of his world is changed. It’s time to be brave. Is Tristan finally ready to knock down that last wall?

Oh, I change my mind. This story is the one I love. It was amazing, tender, caring, and so full of love. Tristan finally tells Brian he loves him. Granted Brian had scared the living daylights out of him, but it made him realize how much he loves this man. And the fact that he wants to spend the rest of his life with Brian.

I wish that there were more to this couple because it is so full of heat, passion, and love. I think that Brian and Tristan are probably the best characters I have found. It was beautifully written with a humor and a touch of seriousness and pain. It has made it into my favorite list. I would love to read more by A. R… A gift of storytelling is what this wonderful author has.

I would recommend going out and getting this wonderful book. It will make you smile, cry, and give you a bit of heart ache. It was beautifully written. With the perfect ending.

Blurb: Owen was born into a Were family, and like those before him, he is expected to turn on the full moon of his twenty-first birthday. And there are especially high expectations concerning Owen’s shift from boy to wolf, given that his birthday falls on the night of the full moon itself.

But when the full moon rises on that fate night, nothing happens. While others around him change, he stays the same, forced to run for his life from the angry pack. Needless to say, Owen is a disappointment to his family.

But then a mysterious and sexy stranger with wickedly tempting eyes comes to stay at Owen’s mothers boardinghouse, a stranger regarded as suspicious by the clan, who apparently knows that there is far more to Owen than his failure to shift….

Review: This is part of the Growl AmberPax Collection but can be bought and read separately.

It is a really strange book, but one I can see reading over and over. Although I do wish it was longer, because it left me hanging and with questions. I really want a story that has a beginning that introduces the characters, then the story of their lives, and then the end. This one had me trying to figure out who everyone was, what they were really up too and where will Owen end up.

Owen had turned twenty-one and was supposed to change into his wolf. However, that did not happen. It left him with a lot of hateful wolves including his own family. So when Sloane shows up at his mother’s boardinghouse, he was just trying to figure out who this man was. Sloane kidnaps him and takes him away from his family. The only problem is Sloane tells him that not only is he a special type of wolf, but that Sloane is a natural-born alpha wolf. It is foretold that an omega kills all the wolves. Owen flat-out refuses to follow the rules, and he knows that all he wants is this man.

Sloane wants to kill Owen’s family because of the fact that Owen’s uncle had killed Sloane’s family. Revenge is all he is thinking about, however it would also mean his death. What he didn’t expect was to fall in love with a quirky fireball.

I always wondered what it meant by dark fantasy and I come to the conclusion that this story tells it perfectly. It has a darkness to it and I was surprise to find out that I really did like the story. I would recommend this book to anyone who loved shapeshifters, werewolves, two hot and sexy men, hot sex, and lots of twist and turns. It keeps you on the edge of the seat. However, I do not like books where it leaves me wondering. This one I actually loved.

Blurb: Cody Langdon’s been through a lot. He kissed a boy in the locker room and got brutally harassed for months. Unable to cope, he tried to take his own life. His parents decided a change in scenery would help, so they moved the family to Florida in the middle of the summer. The abrupt move left Cody lonely, bored, and beyond depressed. Stuck in a new state, Cody learned that a demon named Tanglewood had killed his neighbors and was taunting Cody. To save his family, Cody burned his house down.

Cody was lauded as a local hero and inducted into a support group for people who had survived encounters with dangerous demons. The support group introduced Cody to a new world of the supernatural and shared their own horrific experiences with incubi, curses, and ghosts.

Adam Monroe was a teenager just like Cody, until the demon Tanglewood killed his neighbors and his parents. Blamed for the multiple deaths and thought insane, Adam was locked away in a mental facility until Cody stumbled across evidence that cleared his name. The two bonded immediately over their shared trauma and mutual attraction.

After all, of his hardships, Cody is in for the strangest task yet — starting over at a new high school where he knows no one, doesn’t like organized sports, and thinks he’s above the petty social games.

Just as he begins to relax in his new environment, Cody’s parents find a new house to live in. Upon touring one of the identical homes in the Clearclay Park community, Cody discovers that behind the perfect hedges, trimmed lawns, and pristine appearance, a sinister force may lurk.

Forced to juggle his time between school, his parents, and Adam, Cody is confronted with the realization that not all problems are supernatural, and not all solutions are final.

Review: This book was interesting to say the least. Very bizarre little story line, however I did like it. I found myself laughing at certain parts of it. Cody is a teen who has gone through a really hard time. First he got caught kissing a guy at school and was bullied for it. He had tried to commit suicide but his dad save him. Then he finds out that a demon is terrorizing his neighborhood so he burns the house down. Now here is dealing with a gorgeous boyfriend who had also survived a demon attack. Moving to Clearclay Park, he finds out that it is ran by an incubus and a half demon.

His friends that he hangs out with all survived demon attacks. Even his boyfriend Adam is a survivor. The problem was when the incubus seduces Cody into a kiss and he loses his boyfriend. Now hanging out with his friends from school and his friends of the survivor group, he realizes that they have indeed found some more paranormals. One, which ends him up in the past.

Adam is sorry and wants Cody back, but Cody is not really sure what he wants now. He does know that he wants Adam but for some reason isn’t ready to go back. He has to stop the demons, free the innocents, and turn his friend Hayden’s grandparents back to humans. All in a good days work I suppose. What else could show up I wonder.

I thought that this story was told with a humorous tone, which made it more enjoyable. Although it did catch my attention from the start and kept it all the way to the end, it left me with more questions than answers. It was a bit hard to follow at the end of it. I love paranormals stories and this one is pretty good. I loved the mixture of paranormal types in this book. I would recommend it to anyone who loved cute and sexy young men, strange friendships, paranormal’s, danger and excitement.

Rules are made to be broken. Cowboy rules are made to be shattered.

Although ex-con, Cash Wiley, loves working at the Rocking W, being around Shane Ackerman and Dub Walker is the favorite part of his job. He’d had the chance to be with the two men a few months earlier, but he’d blown it before it could happen. He’d ruined everything because he’d refused to have sex without strings attached.

Stupid didn’t begin to define how he’d felt the following day or every day afterward. Shane took his breath away and Dub was the kind of man Cash had always dreamed of having at his side. It was the rule that stood in his way.

How could he promise to not fall in love when he already had?

Review: I love anything cowboys and Carol Lynne is a master at hot, sexy cowboys. This story picks up after Cash had turned down the offer to join Shane and Dub in a threesome. He didn’t like Dub’s rule that it was no strings attached.  He wanted more, especially from Shane. Shane Loves Dub and always has, but he can’t help how much he wants Cash.  Dub loves Shane and is happy with him, but he has always needed more than one man and he is aware that Shane needs more than just him; however, e has a fear that if he isn’t careful Shane will leave him for another man. So anyone that plays in their bed has to stick to the rule.

I liked this story but it is a pretty basic ménage story. This one did focus a lot on the lure of the three and wasn’t rushed into the ménage, I did like that.  The actual sex was fairly hot.  The emotional part was nice and deep and we did get all three men’s feelings. I did like that also.

If you like cowboys, ménage, horses, Barbecues, and hot man-sex this is for you!

C.R. Guiliano: Reading –

Honestly, when I was younger, I’d read anything I could get my hands on, from classics, to horror. But, as I grew older, my tastes became more refined. Not that I’m limiting myself to any one type, but I have favorites now that I stick to.

Fantasy is one of them. I read all kinds of fantasy, and I write it as well. I am a Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Narnia, Dragonrider’s of Pern fan, just to name a few. As far as writing fantasy, I let my imagination go wild and think about what kind of story I would like to read, and then create it.

Science Fiction is also a favorite and I’ve dabbled writing in that genre also. It’s not quite as easy to write, what with all the techno-speak that’s usually splattered everywhere. I mostly read it.

I enjoy most paranormal stories, even the ones “based on true events”. They are fascinating, and I’ve caught myself more times than not wishing such creatures and worlds existed. I love writing those kind of stories as well.

Gay Erotic Romance is my ultimate favorite and I have dozens, upon dozens of stories in the works in that genre. I include all my other favorites as a sub-genres in those same stories.

So, does my reading influence my writing? Absolutely. It’s easiest to write what you love to read. The only pitfall I will not allow myself to fall into, is reading someone else’s story and wondering how I would have written it differently. That is just frustration waiting to happen. I read the stories to enjoy them, be touched by them, to gush and share them with my friends. Not to dissect them and make them fit my own unique mold. Besides, how they were written is the way they should have been, and not for me to wonder.

Review: When Jeremy and Graham first meet the sparks fly and they begin a passionate and loving relationship. Graham is out and proud but Jeremy is deep in the closet, their relationship suffers as the strain on Graham hiding his love becomes too much and after three years together he can no longer take it. Jeremy knows that the only way to get Graham back is to come out of the closet but his fears holds him tight, can Jeremy face his fears and admit his true self to his friends and family or is the fear he feels stronger than his love for Graham?

This is a great story of two men finding a perfect love but who are driven apart by the fears of one of them. The story switches from the past to the recent past and the present; it also switches perspectives between Graham and Jeremy so we can see both sides of the story clearly. Graham is a wonderful man who is out and proud, he is loving and affectionate and knew getting involved with a closet case might be a mistake but he can’t resist the sexy man. Jeremy is sweet and gentle and deeply in the closet, growing up with a bigoted family has him fearing coming out and when you add in that he teaches first grade he is terrified of losing his job. Their relationship suffers as Jeremy refuses to even acknowledge Graham in the outside world and won’t even consider relaxing around Graham’s family, but Graham’s had enough and Jeremy has some serious soul searching to do.

This really is a lovely story of true love, acceptance and conquering fears. We feel for both Jeremy and Graham as we see the full story unfold before us, we understand Graham’s frustration and hopelessness and we sympathise with Jeremy’s fears. You have to admire a man who won’t let go of his convictions no matter how hard and painful it is and Graham is such a man, walking away from Jeremy and trying to get on with his life was admirable but you know his heart shattered every day. Jeremy let his fear rule him and even though it broke his heart when Graham left him he couldn’t overcome the fear, but taking a chance might just lead to many surprises.

Seeing Jeremy and Graham together and finally getting their happy ever after was wonderful but it was the love they had for each other even while going through the hard times that shines through. They never gave up on their love or became resentful; they really hoped that the other would find the love they deserved even while it tore them to pieces. When Jeremy finally weighs up his love against the fears you breathe a sigh of relief and when he forces himself past those fears it is brilliant. I really loved Graham because he never threw it in Jeremy’s face; he just let it go and moved on accepting the second chance they got.

I recommend this to those who love contemporary romance, an intense love that won’t be forgotten, understanding and forgiveness, overcoming fears for love and a very happy ending.
