Blurb: HE DOESN’T RECOGNIZE HIMSELF

David Moorehouse has spent his life hiding behind masks. Nice guy. Best friend. Reverend’s kid. After finding his father dead on the floor, he’s been stripped of his job at the family church and his identity as the quiet, nice guy. The life he knew is over, and he doesn’t know what to do next.

HE KNOWS ANGER BETTER THAN ANYONE

Ricky Slade is itching for a fight. By the time he meets David, he’s struggling to save his business, his best friend, his drug-addict brother, and his own sanity. He’s got no patience for his business partner’s judgmental sibling showing up and getting in his face.

Their furious heat turns into a fiery inferno, but Ricky’s fresh off a bad breakup, and David is getting guilt-tripped by his family and his ex. Every time they fight, they fall into bed, but will that be enough when things around them come apart?

Be advised, this book contains two small towns, blue-collar men with big egos and bigger trucks, more emotional baggage than they can carry, and highly charged man on man action.

Review: Growing up in a strictly religious home where his father made an art form out of bigotry all while wearing the title of Reverend, David Moorehouse kept his sexuality a secret. So the betrayal cuts very deep when upon his father’s death, David and his mother learn that his father had another family, another wife and another son just a few hours away. And then to add salt to the still gaping wound, that brother and the brother’s best friend show up at his father’s funeral.

They get off to a rocky start, but when his brother Greg leaves, his best friend Ricky makes David promise to call him if he needs anything. Circumstances lead David to have to make that call. When David gets out from under the judgement and expectations he’s lived his entire life, his eyes are opened and he sees that there is a lot more to life than the one he’s been living. Problem is, he’s scared to death of being hurt, so going back to his mundane existence may be better than a broken heart.

Ricky Slade is Greg’s childhood best friend and business partner. As he explains to David at one point in the story, he doesn’t like labels. Labels belong on cans, why would he put his ass on a shelf. You see, there is this insane animalistic attraction that’s shooting sparks between Ricky and David. But David is confused because Ricky has been with and was even engaged to a woman. Being a closeted gay man in a small hatefull southern town tends to cloud the brain a little.

These two have two temperatures, hot and cold. Things can get broken at either temperature. The question is whether it’s the bed, or someone’s face. While I enjoyed the underlying story of the openly bisexual free-spirited man meets the closeted religiously strapped and confused gay man, the angst drove me bat shit crazy! I HAD to know where the relationship was going to go though, so I pushed through. There were some choppy moments along the way as well, where the story seemed to fall off or just break, the flow wasn’t consistent. And the majority of the time miscommunication was their only form of communication.

I did, however, thoroughly enjoy the three-dimensional secondary characters. The brother and his devoted partner, the best friend running from an abusive boyfriend, the psycho ex, the moms and of course, the smoldering hot male leads. That lovely twist at the end threw me as well, and I do like when a story can surprise me, so Kudos to Carrington for keeping me guessing.

If you like stubborn ass alpha male types, some pretty good sex that doesn’t necessarily always happen in a bed, and hard-won love stories then this is a safe bet for you.

Blurb: In a society awake for twenty-four hours a day a man who sleeps is a freak. But not to neurobiologist Shay Mistry. Jacob Garcia, the last known sleeper in America, is the test subject whose brain Shay has been dying to get his hands on for years. When they meet, Shay discovers the sleeper’s brain comes accompanied by a gorgeous body and a hostile attitude. As Jacob sleeps night after night in his lab, it’s harder and harder for Shay to resist their mutual attraction.

Jacob is tired of being a lab rat, but he’s got his reasons to be in Shay’s lab—one of them he’s not going to tell anyone about—and his plan is to do what he came to do and leave. So falling in love with Shay is like adding a hand grenade to all the other balls he’s juggling. He doesn’t need this added complication, but his desire for Shay is too strong to resist. When Jacob’s secret comes out it triggers a chain of events leaving Shay irrevocably changed and forcing Jacob to choose where his loyalties lie.

Review: Jacob Garcia has spent the better part of his life in labs, an anomaly, only worth what he can give the doctors and scientists that are studying him. In a world where no one sleeps, Jacob is a sleeper, someone who can still dream. Shay Mistry is one of those doctors that only value Jacob for what they can find during REM, or is he?

There is an attraction there from the start. Jacob can tell by the way Shay looks at him, his eyes full of hunger, lust and need. Hesitant to explore any type of romantic relationship with Jacob because of his sleep study, Shay resists as much as he can. But chemistry ignites when Shay is faced with Jacob leaving town. Lust sends Shay to Jacob’s apartment, but emotion keeps him there. Having never really experienced tenderness and love, Shay is entranced with the man who really see’s him.

All the while Jacob is romancing Shay, there is a threat brewing behind the scenes. A group of sleeper’s that are hiding out in a place they call Nyx have been working on a study of their own, a way to make everyone sleep again. And the final piece of that puzzle is Shay. Can Jacob stop his people, his own family from unleashing a germ that could not only make everyone sleep again, but quite possibly kill people as well? Will he choose his family or the man he loves?

This was a very vivid and detailed future that Black wrote that could very well be based as reality. The arguments from both sides as to why things should either stay as they were, or be changed back to how they were, were both compelling and sound. And the forced sterilization aspect on sleepers so no more would be born is so much like something our government would do, it’s frightening! The writing was so descriptive that I could actually envision this Denver in my mind.

My only complaint, which may sound odd to some, I don’t like sex in a book just for the sake of having sex. If it doesn’t advance the story or add to the characters in some way, it should be either left out of just alluded to. While I love a sweaty, sexy, passionate romp between two men, a couple of times it seemed forced or thrown in to add page count. Aside from that, I was intrigued throughout with this story. I’ve never read another story like it, where the norm is always awake.

This one is a must read for Sci-Fi fans. It’s passionate, romantic, fast paced and engaging.

Blurb: It’s time to ride hard for cattle country! In “Where the Men are Men” by Julia Talbot, Skeet’s not the brightest guy around, but he still manages to surprise Donnie. In “Sage and Sand” by Yolande Kleinn, when Bram Caldwell’s stage route is attacked by bandits, his only hope lies with vigilante Marshall Maddox. In “Devilry Done” by Missouri Dalton, Luke’s out to get Ambrose back, but he might just get himself killed in the process. Birch is a champion bull rider who wants to try some of his moves out with bullfighter Lucas in “Eight Seconds” by Nicole McCormick.

In BA Tortuga’s “Hoping for a Good Break,” Colby left his man, Alan, with harsh words that are made unbearable by the misfortune of a riding mishap. “Asher, James, Glenn, and Gregg” by Penn E. Loaffer introduces us to four SoCal friends: a transplanted Colorado cowboy, two San Diego natives, and a Brit who proves that not all English are “proper.” In “Showstring” by Jon Keys, two men with wildly different backgrounds meet at the state fair, but is Jayden’s baggage going to spoil everything? In “Come Undone” by Mychael Black, Bryce Caldwell’s first impression of Ricky Clements is a whirlwind in black.

Review:  Each book is also sold separately (except for Asher, James, Glenn and Gregg) in case you want to buy just one or two or have a favourite you’d like to have by itself! I have included individual reviews and buy links, but they are so good I think you will love them all!

Where the Men are Men by Julia Talbot ♥♥♥
I have to say I felt a bit lost here in the beginning. I believe this must be from a series. The sexual tension between the characters was very good. I would have liked this to have been longer and perhaps mention if it’s from a series and what it is. I could not get a good feeling of either character. I did feel however, it was a good premise to a hot sexy romance. This book can be bought by itself:

Sage and Sand” by Yolande Kleinn, ♥♥♥♥♥
Bram work at his father’s stage, normally in at the desk. His father decides he is man enough to go on the road so he is sent on a three day dangerous Journey. I can’t say very much more without a spoiler but WOW this one is really good. And hot. The action is so well depicted I could see the guns a blazing and the sex …well its smokin!! This is definitely one to read especially if you like the old west, gunfights, and steamy hot first time mansex!
You can by this book alone:

Devilry Done by Missouri Dalton ♥♥♥♥♥
Lucas has a secret his brother found out and is blackmailing him. Actually, Lucas has several secrets. Lucas sets a dangerous plan in motion that he hopes gets his brother out of his hair for good, and perhaps even brings him more. He sets himself up in danger and knows that Ambrose will come, but he isn’t sure what he will do. There is lots of action set in this old west story, with a bit of a twist, I am not sure if you would call it paranormal or not. I’ll let you decide when you meet Lulu. Overall, it’s a very beautiful story. I loved it! You can by this one by itself at:

Eight Seconds by Nicole McCormick. ♥♥♥♥
Eight seconds are yet another very lovely story. It is a modern-day bull-riding story as the title suggests. Birch is good at hanging on for his 8 seconds but isn’t all wrapped up in his notoriety and status. Lucas is a bullfighter and one of the best. Both men share an attraction with each other. Can they be more than friends? I found this to be a very beautifully written saga of two men on a path of friendship and perhaps even more. I would love to see a full story about these guys! If you want a copy of this one by itself, you can find the link here:

BA Tortuga’s Hoping for a Good Break ♥♥♥♥
Alan is out on a rodeo and one of his friends has a fall and is critically injured. Alan realizes how short life is and hopes Colby will welcome him home.
This one is a real tearjerker. My only issue was it read as if it was part of a series or something. I would have loved to know why Alan thought Colby wouldn’t welcome him home and more about each character, having said that the story was absolutely amazing and if it is part of a series, I want the books!
http://www.torquerebooks.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=66&products_id=4231

Asher, James, Glenn, and Gregg by Penn E. Loaffer♥♥♥♥
This story is quite different form the others so far. It is about four young men in college. At first, I was a bit shocked. Asher after being so devastated from a breakup and balking so hard at meeting Gregg, as soon as they met, they headed to bed. The sex was pretty hot though. Then there was a major twist! I cried my eyes out. This is definitely one worth reading.

Showstring by Jon Keys ♥♥♥♥
Ben is showing some cattle at a fair to get buyers interested in his father ranch. Jayden has always dreamed of working on a ranch or with animals and is infatuated with the animals. And the attraction to Ben goes against everything his father has instilled in him.

This is a very lovely story of a man supressing his desires in so many ways and conforming to what his father wants of him. I loved the descriptions of the animals and the budding love between Ben and Jayden. It’s beautiful and sweet. I will definitely be looking for more of Jon Keys books.

Come Undone by Mychael Black, ♥♥♥♥♥
And what a finale! I am a big Mychael Black fan and this story was amazing!
Bryce is an older man and has a small ranch out in the woods where he is away from the hustle f the world. He is in town when a young man is thrown into his life(literally) he doesn’t know why but he takes the young man out for breakfast and once he hears the man’s story he finds him-self offering a lot more.
I loved both Bryce and Ricky and would love more of their story!

I think it was my favourite of them all though they were all definitely worth reading!

Blurb: Serpent Prince Linden of Ardaul is determined to drag his barbaric, power-hungry country into the modern age by encouraging learning, advances in the sciences, and tolerance. His insane brother Edward, the King, delights in making him pay for his efforts.

Long years of watching his back, fighting wars, and solving conflicts started by his cruel brother have taken a toll on Linden’s body and mind, and he needs a respite. When Linden meets an alluring young bed slave named Alasdaire, his weary heart responds. Alasdaire is an exotic mix of southern royal Totandian elf and human, and, although he’s also suffered hardship most of his life, his loving personality captivates the Prince.

Despite their differences, Alasdaire—canes, and Linden—scales, unite in body and soul, but their romance is nearly shattered by betrayal. When Linden becomes King, magical assassins, treachery, and threats plague them. They narrowly escape death more than once. The lovers must discover who wants them dead and more importantly, where they can turn for aid. Neither enemies nor allies are what they seem. Only time will tell who means to harm Linden and Alasdaire—the elves, the imprisoned Edward, or something even deadlier—and time is one thing they don’t have.

Review: I am not too sure about this book. To me it just comes off to slow-moving. The characters are really detailed and you can’t help but fall in love with them. Linden wants to drag his power-hungry country into the modern age. To teach them about the advances in society and tolerance. However, Edward wants to make him pay for his efforts. He has always had to watch everything he says and does because his brother cruelty is causing him some major problems. He always has to watch his back and keep in mind that his brother is just plain evil.

He decides to take a little vacation where he meets a very sexy slave. Alasdaire is a gorgeous, sexy exotic man. He was born into royalty but his father was cruel and thrown him and his mother out. After watching his mother weaken and die, he decided to get even. What he had done did not in fact kill his father but injured him. His father sold him and with the agreement that he would always be a slave. Taught to be a sex slave, he was given to Linden. He is half human and half elf. Although he had a hard life and knew that, he would never be free. For the collar on him had poison and if he ever tried to leave it would kill him instantly.

Linden was a serpent Prince and even had the scales to prove it. He was attracted to Alasdaire and wanted this man with everything in his powers. Their attraction for each other builds and so does the dangers. Especially when Linden becomes King. They will do everything in their power to protect the other.

As I said this story just comes off slower than I would like. Although I do have to tell you that when Linden and Alasdaire get together their worlds heat up. You can tell there is so much passion flowing between them and the fire will warm your soul. It has a great story line and plot that will capture your attention and keep it all the way to the end. It is a fantasy story that shows you how the author has a wonderful gift at telling you a story. I love romance stories and I have not been much into fantasies, but this one is high on my list of books to add to my library.

I would recommend reading this story. It has a paranormal tone to it, fantasy that will draw you in, two very sexy men, passion that will heat your cheeks, excitement, adventure, and dangerous situations. It gives you all of that and so much more.

Reviewer: GiGi

Review: This is a pleasant enough story with a slow build and some steamy moments. Most are idealized moments with Bean and Alistair spending time with an always seemingly pleasant five-year-old. I often wonder if writers get to spend enough time around kids to write the experience accurately.

Ben is complicated, or at least it seems he should be a deeper character. He’s got problems with his wealthy parents, a risky job as a fireman who is also out with his house, an interested best friend/father figure, an apartment with two dogs and two cats, he just wants a happily ever after now with a loving family unlike his own.

Alistair, oh, Alistair. I want to feel sorry for him, but he comes across a bit on the whiny side. Yes, his father died too early, but Ally was 25 and fully grown after all. Many of us lose parents sooner. He uses the excuse of helping his sister raise her hearing-impaired son as a reason to hide away and not date. He’s a likeable enough character, and I was a bit surprised he was so aggressive in the sack, which was nice.

As many reservations as each man brought to the relationship they hit it off instantly, sex was good, they got along well, money was not an issue and they both love Jared to pieces.

But the ending is so abrupt I can’t help but see that this is designed to have a sequel. Almost like all the serious issues are left hanging and we get a fluffy HEA instead. You just know there’s huge roadblock ahead for these to love birds. The plot picked up momentum and then it took an abrupt turn and faded to white. A soft, fluffy, warm and lovey read.

Blurb: Jesse Putnam, once a union cavalryman and now a California rancher, has no one but himself to blame when he realizes the foreman assigned to help him investigate the problems on the Southern Californian acres of a railway baroness has a face that’s all too familiar. Even on the Barbary Coast of 1869, unknown vaqueros who share Jesse’s inclinations are few and far between, and Jesse didn’t even try to resist the heated attraction between them. But he never counted on his nameless companion of the previous night turning out to be Wardley Bridger, now his colleague and fellow investigator.

Bridger, at peace with his nature in a way Jesse is not, proves to be a calm and canny companion as they travel south and start sorting through a mystery that stretches out from the dusty Pueblo of Angles into the brush-covered hills of Ranchero Los Robles. But as the ghost rider’s threat overshadows both them and the ranchers of Los Robles, can Jesse still learn that friendship might merge with his shadowed hungers to gift him with a kind of bond he has never even dared to desire?

Product Link: http://www.torquerebooks.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=78_92&products_id=3847

Review: Now this is what I call a romance and I absolutely loved it.

This beautiful historical follows Jesse and Bridger. Jesse has finally settled in his life as a rancher after the trauma left behind the war. What he hasn’t settled in yet is his “perverse cravings.” Jesse finds it hard to calm the storm inside him that come after each encounter with men like him.

After one such night with a certain vaquero Jesse still finds the need in him to delude himself that the said vaquero might’ve been a bit reluctant to leave him. But such notions are for fools and Jesse doesn’t indulge much.

When the next day brings him face to face with his nameless man again but this time under the name Bridger and fellow traveler/investigator in a shadowy business for his relatives, Jesse has to gather all his strength to maintain a polite façade. It is the first time ever for him to see the same man twice and something deep inside start sing-songing that Bridger is no ordinary man.

I loved this story as short as it was it was lovely and so very romantic. This pair was, oh dear, so lovable. Bridger a steady character who has no real worries in life is the opposite of Jesse, who is skittish as a colt. In the most calm way possible Bridger slowly worms his way into Jesse’s heart, who never until that moment has believed he could find intimacy in a man’s presence, arms and life. I adored this pair. I loved the way they steadily went from the one-night-stand to companions to friends and finally lovers in an era that had no good news for “sodomites.”

I also loved the story; it showed just how dangerous that time was for people who were different and how easily rascals could overwhelm your life and threaten your existence. The writing itself was divine for me. Written in a language that could be considered of that time, all I saw was roses and blue skies and white puffy clouds while reading this. Did I say this was quite a romantic read? Loooved it.

And after going all pinky little hearts for this book I feel compelled to recommend this to you. If you love historical romances, featuring sexy cowboys than this is the book for you.

Noah thinks he’s nothing special. Average height, a bit on the skinny side, and cute but rather geeky, he’s relentlessly ordinary. He certainly doesn’t expect to be noticed by Sol, the gorgeous dark-haired stranger Noah sees on his commute home most days. But when Noah’s friend, Dom, persuades Noah to take a huge risk in a bid to get Sol’s attention, things turn out better than Noah dared to hope. Noah and Sol start dating, and much to Noah’s surprise, his feelings seem to be reciprocated.

But Noah’s insecurities make him doubt Sol. He doesn’t believe he’s interesting enough or sexy enough to hold Sol’s attention, and as Sol tries to get closer, Noah’s instinct is to pull away to protect himself. If their relationship is going to survive, Sol needs to convince Noah that he sees Noah very differently to how Noah sees himself. Because to Sol, Noah is something very special indeed.

Bliss

by

Lisa Henry & Heidi Belleau

They’re always happy.

Rory James has worked hard all his life to become a citizen of the idyllic city-state of Beulah. Like every other kid born in the neighboring country of Tophet, he’s heard the stories: No crime or pollution. A house and food for everyone. It’s perfect, and Rory is finally getting a piece of it.

So is Tate Patterson. He’s from Tophet, too, but he’s not a legal immigrant; he snuck in as a thief. A city without crime seems like an easy score, until he crashes into Rory during a getaway and is arrested for assaulting a citizen. Instead of jail, Tate is enrolled in Beulah’s Rehabilitation through Restitution program. By living with and serving his victim for seven years, Tate will learn the human face of his crimes.

If it seems too good to be true, that’s because it is. Tate is fitted with a behavior-modifying chip that leaves him unable to disobey orders—any orders, no matter how dehumanizing. Worse, the chip prevents him from telling Rory, the one man in all of Beulah who might care about him, the truth: in a country without prisons, Tate is locked inside his own mind.

A Matter of When

by

Eden Winter

Wealth. Fame. Gold record. Hookers and Cocaine front man Henri Lafontaine has it all…including a control freak manager, band members who smile as they sharpen blades for his back, and last but damn well not least, a fan out to steal his heart. Literally. Trying to write hit songs and plan a comeback in the midst of the hi-fi white noise of LA feels more like watching his world implode, until he’s offered a month in the Colorado Rockies for vocal coaching.

Sebastian Unger’s rich, classically trained tenor inspires wicked thoughts. More than a pretty choir boy, he cracks the whip without hesitation to drive tattooed bad-boy Henri to give his all to his music. Working, fighting, and finally establishing a fragile peace, they find inspiration and perhaps more in each other. But the clock is ticking. Time will pull Henri back to the grit and gold of LA’s mean streets and fame machine, while Sebastian must return to the opera circuit, where a mysterious man known as “the patron” holds far too much sway. Only the trust they’ve built on a handful of notes bridges their two worlds…and shields them from malice.

Blurb: When someone sees all that he is, they can delve deep within his soul, and there is no hiding from what the heart desires…
Kendall Weston thinks living in Prentiss is a welcome change from his past. He enjoys working for his former boss in a law firm as his assistant, yet there is one thing that is messing things up. When he took the job, no one said anything about four-legged demons that could crush him with their big legs. He’s not getting on a horse, no matter what anyone said. At his supposed lesson, he has his argument all ready for the reason he can’t ride a horse. That is until he meets a man who knocks him for a loop. The man looks so solemn, but the sparkle in his gaze makes Kendall want to see how he would look if he smiled.

Thomas Ward takes over the lesson for the man who is obviously out-of-place. Something he can’t define draws him to the man. Kendall’s sharp wit and humor draw him in even more. Thomas is more comfortable with horses than people. But Kendall is different from any man he has ever been attracted to. To get Kendall, he’s going to have to soothe the skittish man as he does his horses—with lots of steady touches and soft words, then he will let Kendall have his way before holding on for the ride of his unbound reaction.

Reader Advisory: This book is best read in sequence as part of a series.

Review: This was an amazing story. Each book in The Prentiss Series focuses on a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, we recommend reading the series in sequential order. It keeps me from getting a bit lost in the stories and gives me an insight in to their world. A world that captured my attention from the start and kept it all the way to the end. I love the way each character just mixes with the others. How fast they are to defend what is theirs and what they believe. This story was amazing and I loved it.

Kendall was sent to learn how to ride a horse, something he did not want to do. He was scared to death of horses or any creature that had more legs than a human. One that actually couldn’t kill you. However once he gets to the ranch and is told that Thomas is the one who will be teaching him. A very sexy cowboy whom he wanted but was afraid to get attached to. His past was coming in to mess with his future. He just couldn’t seem to get it in his head that he was falling faster for this man.

Thomas and his brothers were all adopted and were loved by their fathers. He had taken one look at Kendall and knew that this man was going to be his. He had known it might be like taming a wild horse but it was getting harder to hold his feelings in. He was in love with Kendall. He knew that he would run, and that he would have to let him because he knew Kendall would come back to him.

I loved this series and cannot wait to read the next book. The characters just mix so well with each other and make the story so much fun. I love the way Thomas is so gentle with Kendall giving him time to realize that he is loved more than anything. That he will never cheat on him, never lay a hand on him in anger and will love him for life. I have always love Talia’s stories and this one is on the top five list.

I would recommend reading this book because it will draw you in with the flow of the words and the great story, then will keep your attention till the end.

Blurb: Lowell Cartwright’s life as a mercenary problem solver has taken its toll, and after one more difficult job, he wants out. For help, he turns to Bull, a soldier of fortune turned club owner—not exactly a friend, but the best chance Lowell has. He visits Bull’s club to scope it out and meets Jeremy Hodgson. The twink captures his attention in a big way. Bull tells Lowell to stay away from the club until he decides whether he can help, so Lowell stays in town. When he spots Jeremy passed out on the floor of a convenience store, he goes to Jeremy’s aid.

Lowell piques Jeremy’s interest immediately, pushing all the right buttons. Then, when Jeremy needs help, Lowell’s kindness turns interest into something more.

But trouble comes knocking when Jeremy’s place is bugged. Maybe Lowell’s past is catching up to him, or maybe the danger centers on Jeremy’s roommate Tristan’s mysterious boyfriend. Whatever the source of the problem, the future Lowell and Jeremy hope for doesn’t stand a chance unless they can find a way to protect themselves.

Review: Lowell Cartwright, Spook, is a mercenary looking to start over. He reaches out to the only other man he knows of that has gotten out of the business virtually unscathed, Bull. When he arrives at Bull’s bar, he’s busy, but the tall brown-haired twink out on the dance floor catches Lowell’s eye, so he makes a move. But by the end of the night, Jeremy knows exactly who Lowell is and he tries hard not to be attracted to a monster, but the heart wants what the heart can’t have.

More than once Lowell is there to help Jeremy. First when has an insulin issue and passes out at a local convenience store, and again when they learn that Jeremy and Tristan’s apartment has been bugged. Has Lowell been found by the people he’s trying to hide from? Or is there something else going on here with the young group of friends that Bull and Lowell find themselves calling family, find themselves protecting no matter the cost.

Jeremy may be young but he is not naive, he sees something in Lowell that everyone else either can’t or refuses to. He sees love, compassion, tenderness and honesty there. As well, Lowell is attracted to Jeremy’s strength and devotion, no one has backed him up in a very long time, and so having Jeremy believe in him gives Lowell the strength he needs to end this once and for all. It’s not all sunshine and roses though. First Lowell will have to disappear, and some people are making that very hard to do. And then there is the question, will Jeremy still love him, still want to be with him when Lowell tells him every dark and dirty detail of his mercenary past.

Action packed and nonstop, danger around every corner, who can you trust? This story will literally turn you upside down while you converge through each character trying to figure out what will happen next. You will root for Lowell and Jeremy to get at least a little bit of happiness, and scream at your book when it looks like they won’t. There is passion and intimacy between Lowell and Jeremy that jumps right off the pages, it makes them more relatable. I love the mechanics of the friendship between the four “twinks” as Lowell calls them… Zach, Jeremy, Tristan and Kevin.

“It’s like the twink version of Sex and the City!”

And that right there tells me there will be four books in this series, or at least I hope there will be! One for each twink. And then to watch these big, burly, and killing machines become these gooey puddles of love and compassion when they find the other piece of their soul, it’s a thing of beauty. Yes, this is a must read. You must read this series, this book, anything with the name Andrew Grey on it is a must read. That’s a no brainer!

Midnight Rodeo: Homecoming

(Anthology)

by

B.A. Tortuga, Kiernan Kelly & Julia Talbot

What happens when rodeos start to get too tough for humans to compete in? Midnight Rodeo, of course, where supernatural creatures like shifters and vampires work for the prize money, and for the awe of their audience.

In Welcome to the Pack by BA Tortuga, when head bullfighter Denton is killed by a demon bull, his twin, Denver, comes back to take his place. Denver was gone for years, working mundane rodeos and missing his twin. He’s not sure the pack can heal him since the other bullfighters challenge Denver at every turn. All except Blaine, who’s an outcast himself, and who knows Denver is like no one he’s ever met.

In Oklahoma Rain by Kiernan Kelly, psychic Blaze scouts locations for the rodeo company, Darque and Knight, where he finds another psychic talent, Zack, who’s hot as the Fourth of July. Zack is complicated, though, thanks to his sidekick, Mikey, a damaged kid. Blaze invites the pair back to the rodeo, but not everyone is as happy as Blaze to have them there.

In Big Bear, Little Bear, by Julia Talbot, bear shifter Ben is returning to the rodeo after a long injury recovery. Big bear shifter Ozzie is the barrel man and clown, and he’s been waiting for Ben to come back to the big show. But is Ben ready to ride again, let alone be the lover Ozzie is ready to take on?
