Blurb: When absent-minded video game developer Jay Thurson impulsively follows his intuition westward, he never expects his rideshare to turn out to be a gun-toting madman. In an act of desperation, Jay turns to the gift he’s long neglected and feared for help and leaps from the moving car on a dark and deserted backcountry road.

Running for his life leads him to the doorstep of Adam Grauwacke, a roadside nursery owner and sometime vegetable farmer, whose affinity for the earth goes far beyond having a green thumb. Adam’s world is ordered and predictable, dependable and safe, but despite having his dream farm and business, he’s always felt something’s missing. When he welcomes Jay into his home, life seems to click for both men, and together they explore their gifts and their attraction.

But harmony has no value if it is easily won, and a crazed gunman and volatile ex might be their end if Jay and Adam can’t learn to trust the strength of their bond.

Review: Jay Thurston is a wanderer, always thinking, always moving, he never stays in the same place for very long. On a whim, he decides to take a trip and places an ad for a ride share not knowing this is the ride that will change his life forever.

Adam Grauwacke is a farmer, a loner, someone who feels most at home in his garden surrounded by nature and happy in his solace. He takes in stranger that lands on his doorstep broken and bruised not realizing this man will change his life forever.

Jay is Air and Adam is Earth in a story told from the mystical point of view that we are all connected on an elemental level by our energy, that every yin has a yang. The balance of nature is a must. Jay has been restless for as long as he can remember, constantly in search of something, but what? Adam hasn’t been able to maintain a healthy relationship and his last was quite volatile but he craves that stability he could have with the person that is his equal. From the moment they meet, from that first touch, both men are so at ease and comfortable more so than they have ever been in their lives. But there are others like them that are just as clueless about their gift as Jay and Adam are, others that are dangerous because they don’t like that which they don’t understand.

I was really blown away by the amount of detail that was put into this story, this world, and these characters McAllister has created. The metaphysical aspect was true to form and the way that Adam and Jay could balance and calm each other when they were together was very well written and conveyed. On that aspect of the book I would have to say I was a little disappointed that McAllister didn’t explain more thoroughly how they came into their talents, training or something along those lines.

A very whimsical story, not an action packed or suspenseful read, this first book of a series is setting the groundwork for the stories to come, introducing readers to this world and how things work in it. It’s an insta-love story as well, but still believable as Adam and Jay are written as two parts of the same soul, they are each other’s balance so it is expected that they would have an instantaneous connection.

My only issue with their relationship was the over selling of their sex life. I’m a firm believer of too much sex is not a good thing when writing a book, if it doesn’t add too or advance the story it can weigh it down.
Overall, though, I was pleasantly surprised with how good this book was and I anxiously await the next book coming in the spring, Fire and Water.

A final note, I’ve seen several reviews of this book where it was stated that there were too many unanswered questions at the end. My response would be if you read the Epilogue then you know this book was just one part of an explanation of the bigger picture, which will make up this series. I’m very excited to see where the next story goes!

Review: Hot and cute, that pretty much sums up this book for me. It’s almost like a comedy of errors, as Donald seems to be thrown Trevor’s way at every turn by Donald’s mother and sister. It’s really just a fun book, with some hot sex, some hang-ups and someone playing hard to get. Really, you don’t need to read too much between the lines or too deeply, into what’s going on.

Donald is staying in his small hometown with his mother over Christmas while he waits for repairs on his Indianapolis apartment. Trevor recently moved to the town where he inherited his uncle’s shop and picks up shifts at the hospital, because he is also a nurse. The plot is simple – Donald isn’t overly optimistic about going into a long distance relationship despite his loneliness and Trevor is willing to take the chance regardless of the consequences. Donald and Trevor are really likable and relatable, and they have some sizzling chemistry.

Honestly, the ending didn’t feel quite right after the Donald we get to know. I really was expecting some sort of hissy fit before everything was resolved. For that reason, I think I really just wanted to know more about this couple before the story ended. Nonetheless, this is a fun holiday read.

Review: This book is amazing! There I said it! For one thing, any book that mentions NCIS and Criminal Minds, if only once, peaks my interest. But really, A Cock in the Window is just a guilty pleasure, especially for everyone who enjoys a good British murder mystery. I’m talking about the murder mysteries in a tiny English (or Irish or Scottish or Welsh) village where everyone knows everyone but there are so many secrets brimming in the small community it’s not always easy to work it out

Even the name of book reminds me of an Agatha Christie story. Seriously, while reading this one I started thinking about the show Midsommer Murders or Miss Marple (which is hard to miss even when you don’t want to see it) and Broadchurch. In the end I had the movie Hot Fuzz in my head, because let’s face it, that movie is a send up of all those shows, where in a small village there are secret clubs, everyone knows each other and when something happens it’s “just a terrible accident”.

That was why I liked it and was pulled into the story. Now onto the actual plot, the romanced and the love is a subtle subplot, where the main plot is the mystery of why there are bodies turning up and just what is the secret the elder residents of the village is hiding. The fact that the romance is in the background and there are no personal mysteries concerning either Kit or Steve allowed for some nice character development.

Kit (not Christopher! And honestly, I’ve never worked out how you get Kit from Christopher), anyway, he is a quiet shopkeeper who runs the local trinket and junk store. He’s had one bad breakup, which has left him just a little reclusive. He also happens to like to sell wooden carvings he makes of cocks of the gay porn stars he watches. Steven Mullins walks into a shop near the estate where he lives after recognising his cock in the window. The relationship that develops is sweet. Steve, for a guy that did porn, is a little naive and a little shy. Both characters are endearing. The attraction and love between them is instantly obvious. The roadblock in their relationship is actually a series of murders that happens in the village and Steve is immediately a suspect.

When the mystery is solved and the murderer revealed, it’s hard not to feel sympathy for the perpetrator. It’s kind of like reading/watching Dexter and the entire time you’re cheering for the serial killer. It’s a situation where a community hid their dark secret and with so many people involved, there were so many victims. As I said, if you like British murder mysteries, you’re probably going to at least like this one.

As a side note, Sue Brown in the acknowledgment notes that Dreamspinner Press allowed her the use of her characters in The Isle of…Where? series. They pop up for a fun little scene in Kit’s shop and now I find myself curious enough to go and get that series now.

Review: Sky finally escaped from an abusive relationship after his former lover Duke went to prison. Sky moves to Colorado with his cousin and now works in a bike shop. One weekend day Billy talks Ske into going for an afternoon ride with his local bike club. There Sky meets Task River. The attraction between the two is immediate and burning hot.

This book started off with a little back-story, but soon jumps right in to amazingly hot sex between Task and Sky. The two of them start a sexual relationship right away. But they also start to get emotionally involved too. When Duke shows back up to claim what he thinks is his, Task shows that he will do anything for Sky.

I liked this short story. It was intensely hot with a little action thrown in for extra enjoyment.

Blurb: “You won’t let anybody else have you, Joseph. I won’t let anybody else have you. I want you all to myself.” – Gage Mason

We’ve all had our experience with him. The Bad Boy. The one we’ve been warned about. The one with rips in his jeans and a lazy, devil may care smile on his mouth. The one who makes you do bad things that feel so good.

For me it was Gage Mason. We met when he worked on my Ducati. I knew immediately he was trouble, but something about that Bad Boy drew me in. Maybe it’s his dark eyes that study me like he wants to know everything about me. Maybe it’s the way he makes me feel; the rough touch of his hands, his possessive grip on my hair when we kiss, the way he feels deep inside me. Or maybe it’s the way he needs me, even though he won’t admit it.

For once in my life, I’m taking a risk. Despite everything that tells me I shouldn’t, I’m taking a chance to be with Gage. I don’t know if it will end well, but I do know I can’t resist that Bad Boy.

Reviewer: KathyMac

Review: Christa Tomlinson has written a very HOT, addicting, and powerful book titled Bad Boys Need Love Too. And, wow…do they ever. This is 400+ pages of excitement with crazed, explosive, and a no holds barred relationship between two men who, under most circumstances, would not fit together. But, these two do fit and they belong together. They bring out the best and the worst in each other. The entire story they will keep you enthralled and you will be cheering them on to make it work.

This book is about pretty boy, Joseph Naderi, and bad boy, Gage Mason. One- a well-dressed, well-versed, college graduate lawyer and the other- a greasy t-shirt, ripped jeans, dirty fingernails, motorcycle mechanic and shop owner. Vinegar and water, right? They meet at Gage’s bike shop when Joseph, owner of a Ducati, has problems with his bike and through a friends recommendation sends him to Gage. They immediately start off on the wrong foot with Joseph being rude not realizing Gage is the owner and not just a grunge worker.

Even with Gage having his hackles raised from this pretty boy, he recognizes his passion and he’s not put off by his attitude. As a matter of fact, he likes that Joseph has a temper lurking behind his fancy business suit. He also notices that Joseph is checking him out and there is a spark definitely simmering there to be poked.

Joseph can’t get Gage out of his mind. His work is suffering by his constant daydreaming and he knows Gage is not someone he needs in his life now, maybe ever. That doesn’t stop him from wanting him and he decides to make a move. Hearing Gage over the phone just cements his curiosity and decision to test the waters. I just hope he can swim because one night out with Gage will make him feel like he is drowning.

Gage has had a pretty rough life. He has experienced death and destruction too many times and it has jaded his personality. He is a playboy going from one bed partner to the next. It doesn’t matter if it’s male or female. Whoever is available to find his release works for him. He wants Joseph, he wants him bad, and he is going to get him. Turning him down for dinner is not even in the equation. Gage just didn’t realize that he would become consumed with Joseph. What was once normal behaviors will not work if he wants a chance with this smart and gorgeous man. Will Gage, the bad boy, be able to hold onto Joseph, the good boy, who is very pretty and in a class of his own?

Gage is a domineering, in your face, alpha male and does not apologize for it. He appears confident and cocky but underneath his brass exterior, he is insecure and carries many years of hurt and guilt over things not his fault. Joseph is a contradiction, as well, because to the folks on the outside looking in, they see an educated, 3 piece designer suit who works lots of hours hoping to make partner one day while moving up the corporate ladder. And, Joseph does love being a lawyer. He put himself through college when his father disowned him for being gay and cut off all ties to the family. For 6 years, he has been on his own and made his own success. He’s worked hard and plans to reap the benefits. However, his true passion is racing motorcycles and Gage can see the difference in Joseph. He lights up and has so much passion when he’s on the track. The lawyer world, Gage doesn’t understand. The motorcycle world…oh yeah, right up his alley. With some help and encouragement, Gage will try to convince Joseph the track is where he belongs.

One date leads to two and so on and Joseph knows he’s getting too deep. He tries to be strong willed when Gage is around but he succumbs to his dominating personality every time. The sex between them is explosive, it’s frequent, it’s raw and dirty, and it is H O T!!!!

Sometimes it seems if they aren’t having sex, they are fighting and arguing. And their fights are just as volatile and rough as their sex life. Joseph is showing Gage than he can have a partner, a love life with only one person, and a happy home. Joseph gives everything to Gage and he only expects one thing in return. Monogamy. Joseph wants to be the only one in Gage’s life, and if he’s not, then he is going to walk…away. Gage doesn’t know if he can make that commitment. He doesn’t want to lose Joseph, but he is who he is for a reason.

“Joseph, calm down and listen to me. I’m not sleeping with anyone else. I’m only with you. I like what we have. Why do we have to put a goddamn label on it? We don’t need to be official, whatever the hell that even means, for us to have fun and great sex. So what if we don’t spend the night together? Let’s just enjoy each other’s company both in bed and out for as long as we want. That’s all a relationship really is anyway, right?”

He has always been a manipulating, jealous, and possessive bastard. Those traits make many appearances throughout this story. That doesn’t bother Joseph and he admits he likes those things about Gage. Joseph, however, wants a relationship with all the attachments like sleeping and staying in the same bed, living together and love. Whether Gage will be able to give him those things, he’s not sure. This is new territory for him being devoted to only person. What Gage doesn’t seem to pick up on is he is already changing and giving those things to Joseph. Admitting it to himself is harder to do than doing the deed itself.

Gage leaned against the wall next to his friend. “So, what do you really think?”
“He’s pretty like you said. I can see why you want to play with him.” Max took a drink of his beer before he continued. “But I don’t think you should.”
“Why not?”
“Open your eyes, Gage. That boy is into you and not just in the way, those hood rats you bang are. Besides, one look at him and it’s obvious he’s not one who’s okay with just playing around. And if that’s all you want to do, you need to let him go.”

As the story continues, both Gage and Joseph will have to cross many hurdles. There will be more fights and disagreements before a truce is made. Gage will have to reach deep within and lay his burdens down, exposing his soul to Joseph. It takes a lot of trust but he feels better for being open and honest. Joseph is a very caring and compassionate man. He will embrace Gage, faults and all, and give all he’s got to save him and help him heal. Sometimes that comes with rough and angry sex resulting in bite marks and nail scrapes but whatever it takes, he’s willing.

gage and joseph BAD BOYSThis is my first time reading a novel by Christa Tomlinson. I enjoyed it immensely and look forward to her other books. The story line is fast paced with a lot of action and drama that will keep you invested from start to finish. She doesn’t shy away from sex scenes that include dirty talk and visual details, which I appreciate. And, they are frequent and plentiful throughout the story. But, even so, they were placed appropriately and advanced the story forward. This was not the case of adding a sex scene for filler and word count. Each time Joseph and Gage had sex it was because their attraction and chemistry was off the charts. Or, because one or the other was hurting and needed that connection.

Ms. Tomlinson has written a very engaging story and I connected immediately to her writing style and to her characters. She writes very descriptive narrative giving you, the reader, a visual of places and events. I felt the execution of the plot was very well done and moved forward seamlessly. I never felt like the story became stagnant or back peddled. There are moments that will have you in tears because you don’t want to see or read the hurts they have been through. But more so, you will laugh and keep a smile on your face because there is humor and the banter between Joseph and Gage is hilarious more often than not. Gage may be a big bad alpha but Joseph has no problem keeping him in line.

Once you start, you will not want to put it down. There is just enough angst to give you the inside scoop but not so much that you feel like you are wiped out by the end. There are many good and exiting things that will take place leaving you with much elation. The author even closes up some past misunderstandings the guys are trying to work through and brings the situation full circle.

A much recommended read in my opinion with more than everything you could want in an erotic, romance m/m story. Trust me when I say the sex is more explosive than C4 and the feels you have when you finish will no doubt leave a big smile across your face.

Review: Wow, this book was different from any other MM book I’ve read so far. This is not exactly a romance book, even though love and support from the loved ones are what help the characters thrive. This is mostly about the relationship between a psychic, Alex, who’s known for his visions that have been helpful to police in the past, and his mental therapist, Scott.

This story is told from the POVs of both Alex and Scott, which helps us understand the characters better, it gives us a better understanding of the plot, but it also showcases the amazing secondary characters that all play a very important role in this book. This book is a thriller with a very light romance subplot. The paranormal touch made the whole book very fascinating to me.

Alex is plagued by visions about two boys that have gone missing, Caleb and Christian. One of them is slowly dying, stuck in a well, while the other is somehow connected to the shed that makes an appearance in most of Alex’s visions. Unfortunately, only one of the boys will have a happy(ish) ending. Alex’s wonderful relationship with his wife is one of the main points in this book, and I loved the support and strength Alex got from it.

Scott is trying to help Alex control his visions, but this book isn’t only about Scott’s professional career. The relationship between Scott and Arthur, Scott’s love interest, is pretty much an insta-love, but it didn’t bother me in this book. There is no sex on page, not even a blowjob…*pouts*, but the progress of their love affair is a nice, light touch to a story that’s dark and somewhat creepy.

While I liked this book a lot, I didn’t really love it. The plot itself was intense enough; there were so many flashbacks that both Alex and Scott experience, it seemed a little overdone to me. And most of the characters in this book had fucked-up parents. I understand Scott’s past was the reason he chose to become a mental health therapist, but the other characters that were physically and/or psychologically abused by their parents made this book more dramatic than it already was.

If you like, a fast-paced book with solid, well-written characters, a mystery/crime based plot with a paranormal touch and a romance (both mf and mm) subplot that manage to soften the chaotic and violent actions, than this book is for you.

Review: Quinn has a normal life, besides being his friends are mostly water inhabitants and he can breathe underwater. After a night at a club, his life takes a big change. The man he was dancing with gets a little too pushy so Quinn decides to leave and go home. Unbeknownst to Quinn, the man he was dancing with is a psycho who follows him home and kidnaps him. He is finally rescued by MYSTIC, and one of the members of the team, Ryker, turns out to be his mate.

From the moment Ryker sees a picture of Quinn he is drawn to him. When they finally meet, both Ryker and Quinn cannot deny they want each other. The sex between the two is damn hot. The bond they have is instant, but not without their difficulties. There is still the psycho to deal with, who will do anything to get Quinn back.

My issue with the book was that there quite a few editing errors. Things like a name in the wrong place, an extra word, or lack of a word. Also, some things seemed a little rushed in certain places. I maybe would have liked some things drawn out a little more. I’m not really sure. Maybe it was just that so much went and so much was learned and explained that I got a little lost in the details.

But on the whole, I really liked the unique concept this new series has. Ryker and Quinn are the first mates in the new world created after the meteor show changed everything. There are few women left, and none has been born since the meteors. So nature is finding a new way to procreate. That starts with Quinn and Ryker.

All in all, I look forward to reading more in this series. The secondary characters and their skill sets were just as interesting as the two MCs.

Review: This is a sweet, heartfelt story of a gay man in a small town, but is for the most part accepted. Of course, there are haters as in any town but since the town had loved James before he came out most people accepted him as he is. He is a business owner and has many rental buildings so he earns a good living and works as a volunteer on the local fire station.

James is an accident waiting to happen. I loved this about him, how he tries, but things just happen. This leant a funny reprise to the drama of the story.

Deacon is from a larger city in Texas and has firsthand knowledge that not all towns or people are accepting and the damage hate crimes can have. Mason is a very well liked man, an ex-military man and ex-paramedic. Now he works form home and volunteers at the local fire station.

He and James become very good friends and help each other through some trying times.

Review: This is the second book in a series that should be read in order to recognize characters and traits you would otherwise miss.

The angel Gabriel is a keeper of souls that likes to bend the rules. He already had to clean up an angel in trainings mess when he let the wrong man die, sending the soul back to earth to be with his beloved. His job is to protect, nurture, and be the guardian angel of his charges, the souls he is charged with protecting. He doesn’t feel, doesn’t touch, doesn’t love… until now. His latest charge is different from the start. Gabriel can feel the soul inside him, he can hear his charge in his mind, and this should not be possible.

As time flies by Gabriel watches his charge, Luke, grow from an infant to a child then an angry teenager and, eventually, into a man. The problem is, as Luke grows, so do Gabriel’s feelings for him. The very fact that Gabriel feels anything for Luke at all defies logic for the angels. He continually blurs the lines between what he is and isn’t allowed to do. Going above and beyond to ensure Luke is safe. And stranger still is the fact that Luke can actually see Gabriel, another impossibility.

Luke has grown into a strong, fierce man. He is a football star, a soldier, a devoted son and a loyal best friend. But he has never been able to find that one man that he could love, he has never been able to open his heart to anyone except his Guardian Angel, Gabriel. He can sense when Gabriel is close, he has talked to him and slowly fallen in love with the angel that held his very soul in his hands. But there are rules that cannot be broken, and if they are there are consequences that one rule breaking angel has not considered.

Oh but this book made me cry, and laugh, and cry some more. It was beautiful, amazing, passionate, and just fanfuckingtastic. I was so enamored with the character of Gabriel, the twink angel with curly blood hair, amber eyes, and button nose. But it was his spirit and depth of feeling that endeared me to him, his utter need that was crushing him, his need to feel Luke, to just touch him once. My heart broke for him when Luke was a boy and lashed out at his guardian, blaming him for his father’s death.

But time heals all wounds and as Luke grows into a man and becomes wiser in the ways of life and of the world, he comes to realize that Gabriel couldn’t have saved his father. He also comes to realize that the reason he has never been able to love another is because his soul was claimed from the moment it was created in heaven, he was claimed by Gabriel.

I am in awe of SGD’s prowess when it comes to the human spirit. It is always evident in some way in all her books. I especially love the way she squeezes the word ‘but’ into the most random place, but it always makes perfect sense after you’ve read the sentence, and you know you are reading an SGD book, just with that one word oddly placed.

A story rich with love, passion, tenderness and the amazing power of soul mates. A must read for fans of the genre, fans of SGD’s work, or just anyone that needs to read a story that will make them laugh while crying and leave a huge smile on their face.

Review: Ryan sets off on vacation in a remote location with his best friend determined to find a guy to nail him. When their reservation is lost and they wind up fifty miles south of remote, no gorgeous men in site, Ryan is less than pleased. Talked into taking a tour of the countryside they are staying in and then told an unbelievable tale by their tour guide about a Monster that steals the innocence of both young men and women, Ryan decides to research the man’s claim.

I skimmed a lot of this story, admittedly, but I was sort of drawn in by Ryan’s bad attitude and fearlessness. Things really got interesting when he went off on his own to the abandoned town where the Monster supposedly lurks, determined to prove the guide wrong. The writing was decent, though there were several typos and missing or misplaced words. The storyline was different from anything else I’ve read as well.

If you are a fan of hard-core erotica, sex with strange foul beasts, bad porn on paper, then this is the perfect short story for you. There were things about the concept and the delivery that I enjoyed, but there were parts of this story that made me cringe, just be warned this is definitely a raunchy little tale.

Blurb: A Chicago art director in his early thirties returns to his tiny Upstate New York hometown to spend the holiday with his recently widowed father only to find himself involved with his boyhood crush, now a closeted sheriff’s deputy. It’s sentimental and sexy, with a bit of mystery stirred in.

Review: He left his childhood home and the boy he loved for an Art degree and promising career in Chicago. Now he’s back home after his mother’s passing to spend Christmas with his father. He has never forgotten that day by the lake with Travis, he doesn’t think he ever will, and all the memories come flooding back when he sees Travis for the first time in years.

Travis very unhappily married, but married nonetheless, so the two dance around their obvious attraction in the beginning. Travis’s sickly wife seems to be hiding a secret of her own though, a secret that lands him in the ER and breaks the remaining fibers holding together the façade of a happily married couple. Will he finally get the man he’s always wanted? Or will Travis once again be blinded by loyalty instead of love.

This was a fast-paced story and there was a lot of content for so few pages. I was impressed with Thornton’s ability to keep me in the dark about certain aspects and characters in the storyline, and while he was supposed to be a secondary character, his widowed father almost stole the spotlight. I don’t usually care for cheaters, but Thornton managed to give a valid reason Travis was all but shoved into his arms.

There were a few times the story didn’t flow well from one place to the next and I thought that he could have at least been given a name, having a nameless narrator was a little off-putting for me. But overall, I enjoyed this story. Not the usual Christmas fluff and stuff type of story, this one has a bite to it, but if you are a fan of the genre, I believe you’ll find something here you like.

Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order.
Raith is away chasing a man who was part of the group that held his Alpha’s mate and hurt him. When he finally returns homes from his hunt, he meets Dr. Aaron Collins. Aaron was brought to the pack house to help save a human mate dying from cancer. When the two first meet things do not lead to a happily ever after at first. Aaron opens his mouth and manages to piss Raith off with his arrogance.

Raith is prepared to walk away when his friends decide he and Aaron need a little help and lock them up together. What follows is a hot mating over a desk. They also discover that Aaron has a submissive side. As they explore that, it leads them to a local BDSM club where they meet a human Rory. When Rory’s current Dom almost kills him, Raith and Aaron step in to save Rory.

The first part of the book deals with Raith and Aaron getting their acts together and learning about each other. Once they are settled a bit into their mating, they meet Rory. He gives them both someone to take care of and nurture. Rory is nearly broken when he meets his mates. But he is still so sweet and I was happy he got two mates that are both strong in their own rights. Rory needs them both to help him overcome his past hurts. I loved the three MCs in this book. Raith is the warrior and protector of his mates. Aaron is the doctor that heals Raith and Rory when they need it most. Rory is the one that truly ties them all together. Plus the sex scenes are really hot between them.

The writer is able to keep the story moving at a fast pace. There is the relationship between the three MCs, but during all these changes are also happenings in the paranormal world. New characters are introduced that bring light to things that are happening. I really look forward to future books in this series.

There is so much going on and each book reveals more. The author has built a lush interesting world that keeps bringing me back to learn what will happen next.

Review: Robbie knew in his heart that if he didn’t escape his home and father, that he might turn out to be just as hateful as his father. Figuring he would stop off at his brothers to tell him good-bye. His brother had pretty much disowned Isaac and considered him dead. If his father found out that he was gay also, his father would just do the same to him. Showing up at Isaac’s in the middle of the night, left him wondering what he was going to do. Here he is planning on just escaping, and ends up meeting his mate.

Shott had lost his family to a robber at a store one night when he was thirteen, so he had some issues. However when he comes in late one night to find a young and gorgeous man in their kitchen his first instincts were to harm. Then he ended up talking to the man. He was glad he had not hurt Robbie when he finds out that he is Isaac’s brother, but couldn’t figure out what to do with a mate. A mate that can get pregnant.

With the passing of time, Robbie desires to stay with his mate, but he isn’t ready to give up his attitude yet. Then trouble found Robbie and things get even dicer. Shott knows one thing and that is to protect his mate no matter what.

I have always loved a good paranormal especially when it involves two gorgeous and sexy men. What makes it better is that in this series the mates can get pregnant. I always get a kick out of that, kind of like pay backs. I had a blast reading this story and look forward to the next book. The only problem I had with this is the ending of the story. I got a bit lost in who the children were and how in seven months time they had children who were more mobile. However, I loved it and would recommend reading this amazing book.

It gives you gorgeous shifters, male pregnancy, excitement, hot sex, and dangerous situations. Lynn always gives you an amazing book to fall in love with. Characters that are full of heart and soul, the best plots and so much more. It had caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. It gave me everything I could want in this story. Trust me you have to read this book.

Prime’s Review: ♥♥♥♥♥ 4.5Hearts

For lack of a better word, this is a really cool story. At the heart is a ghost story, although we also see the trials of a new couple bringing their lives together after meeting each other on holiday. However, to be honest if you read this wanting to read a good ghost story, you’ll get what you’re looking for. If you’re looking for something else, I don’t know what, you might be disappointed.

We don’t get too much depth about Jason and Kevin, our main characters. I think that is rather a pity because they both very likable and relatable characters, which is always the trick to have in a ghost story. Though, Jason has a couple of drama queen moments, Kevin is the strong, silent, dependable, stoic type. The guard dog that the couple purchase through Kevin’s work as a State Trooper, Max the German shepherd, is also an adorable addition to the budding family and a worthy character as well.

The haunted house Jason and Kevin move into is like a minor character itself, serving up the mystery for the story. In the end, once all is said and done, the resolution was both sweet and sensitive. My only problem is I want to know more about Jason and Kevin!

Gigi’s Review: ♥♥♥♥3.5 Hearts
At first I thought this short story was going to be a total stinker, boy meets boy on vacation, has a fling, falls in lurve, they move in together…really? But then things get interesting. As this new couple finds a real estate deal that’s too good to be, true weird things start happening.

As Kevin leaves to go to his day job as a cop, Jason is left alone in the house that starts haunting him. He gets a big bag police dog, and even then, both Jason and the dog start reacting to strange hauntings and happenings in their new home.

Kevin sees his new home and his new love unraveling before his eyes, so he needs to solve this mystery fast. Will his sleuthing skills be enough, and can they put to rest the spirits that are haunting their home and happiness?

Quirky, a little tongue in cheek, a bit cheesy at times but fun enough. I do love a good mystery.

Review: To me this story was about two young men who help each other overcome things that have happened to them while at the same time wanting to live a normal happy life. As they become closer, someone doesn’t like it and tries their best to hurt them in one way or another.

It surprised me that Ace’s parents treated him like an embarrassment rather than a son. I was horrified by the way, his brothers treated him. I just didn’t understand how anyone could treat a disabled person like that. Ace seemed like a very independent young man to me who was more than capable of doing things by himself without the need to constantly be supervised. When he did need help, he would ask for it. I was very impressed with him.

Although I understood why Haze had rage issues, I felt that Ace helped him a lot when it would hit. I really felt horrified at what Haze had been through in the past but was also glad he and Ace found each other so Haze could finally move on from the past.

Very well written however, I didn’t understand why there was the number 1 after some sentences in the book. I also didn’t understand why Logan got away with what he did with only a talking to. Other than those two things, it was a really good book to read that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. The author did a very good job with the details and capturing the emotions of the main characters as well as other characters at various times throughout the book.

Fantastic read. Highly recommended.

Review: This is the second book in this series and you should start with book one. It will tell you about the men and how they ended up together. I have to tell you that it was a blast to read it. Alex, who is richer than sin, could not let the opportunity pass him by. Now stuck in a blizzard away from his man, he might end up regretting that. Thank god for the strange motel but on Christmas Eve there are many miracles just waiting to happen. One especially if it saves him from his man Jesse killing him.

This was a blast to read and I look forward to many more with Alex and Jesse in them. They are a hot couple with very tempting sex between them. However when Aiden’s landlord learns he is gay and had a man in his flat he kicks him out after beating him. Jon and his friends come to Aiden’s aid when he needed them most.

This was a fun fast paced little read. I liked both Aiden and Jon. Aiden is adorable and brings fun and laughter into Jon’s life again. Jon tries to fight his feelings in the beginning but soon gives that up. He knows Aiden is not like his last relationship. I liked the two of them together. Review: This is a beautifully wonderful book – I just want to gush about how sweet it is and give away the entire plot! It’s nice and short, too. So it’s a quick read, but all the t’s have been crossed and the i’s dotted, so there are no niggling questions on my behalf. Strangely, too, despite loving the story, I didn’t feel the need that there was something missing.

This is a poignant glimpse into Akai Greyson’s life. After his parents died when he was nine, he was in foster care until he became legal. This story is a combination of flash backs (triggered by either objects or stray words spoken in the book), with Akai telling the story of his current search for his nameless best friend.

If you read it, you’ll work out what is going to happen in the end, but the build up of Akai and Collin’s relationship is wonderful. We also witness Akai as he tackles his demons, which is where Collins comes in and helps Akai – a lot. The story was geared around reminders of Akai’s childhood including snow (or lack of), jars of water (you’ll see the relevance) and sledding, which makes the story just seem so much more personal.

Review: I’m going to start off by explaining my rating: the only reason I’ve given this a 4.5 instead of a 5 is because I feel like I there were details missing in the back story (but there was more than enough that the story was coherent) and in saying that, it also felt like there was more to the story after Christmas is finally over.

It was a fun read, the fun and loving dysfunctional family was probably more than anything a reminder of my own Christmas Day lunch, but the Zakrewski family were definitely the heart of the story. That leaves Wake and Cody to be the soul of the story. Best friends forever and only just realising the attraction they’d had for each other since their teens it was fun seeing them try to explain to the family why they took so long getting together for the happily ever after.

However, in saying that, their relationship is really only in its infancy, which is why I feel there is a lot more to be said by Cody and Wake after this Christmas tale.

This is a feel good Christmas story rather than a hot and steamy romance. I think is a nice change of pace for me (or anyone who needs a break for the sexier books) and a relaxing, short read for anyone interested.
