Review:

Simple Men Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts

A story about two relationships, Chip and Foster, teachers and Brad and Jason, Football players, that entrance the reader with their simple chemistry and all around stunning ability to see past the day to day lives. I loved how each couple were mesmerized by their partners and wanted to do anything to make them happy. In a sports world dominated by males it cannot being easy being with the same sex but the characters made it almost seem easy, which I enjoyed. Highly recommended.

Another Enchanted April Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts

Three friends, Doug, Tony and Jerry,  on vacation are hoping for different things. What culminates is a coming together, growing, and understanding that each never realised they were missing. Beautifully written, this story is chocked full of deep meanings as the three find what they were meant to throughout their journey. Highly recommended.

Woke Up in a Strange Place Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts

A revealing story about Joe a man who travels in the afterlife searching for lost memories and meeting people who he feels connected to but has no idea why. This book was emotional, thought provoking and a shred your heart strings type of story. It also has a lesson instilled into its fabric. I really loved it even though I was crying by the end. Highly recommended.

Galley Proof Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts

Logan has a semi successful writing career, a boyfriend and seems content until Brock, his new editor, challenges all he thought he wanted. It’s a book about analysing the things in life the character thought were important and self-reflecting on how much he was going through the motions. Emotional and thought provoking this story has it all. Highly recommended.

Overall:

It is rare that I rate a bundle a five as usually there is at least one story I do not like. This is not the case with this one. Each story was beautifully written and self-reflecting on the characters part as we are lured to travel along with them. I love the almost simple nature of each book. It was heart-breaking, soul searching, joyous, and had me taking a deeper look into my own life. I highly recommend the entire bundle to everyone.

Seth isn’t idealizing a picture-perfect version of Hunter in his head. Seth knows all about the pros and cons of dating Hunter. But all of that changes when, one day, Hunter asks him out.

Maybe it has to do with the people around them meddling in their love life. Maybe it was Fate.

Seth just knows that whatever is happening between him and Hunter feels too much like a love story, and he’s just waiting for the other shoe to drop. The fact is, this all feels just a little bit too fast and too much for him, and he doesn’t know what to do.

Review: Like A Love Story is a super sweet story that would have you going into a diabetic coma – and totally the type of sappy story that I love to read. Number one, Frey Ortega is a go-to on my Siren Publishing authors list. I like the writing – the style and the pace of all the author’s books is definitely an attraction. However, secondly, and most importantly this is the type of story which has a massive draw to me because I can’t resist a love story between a guy and his brother’s best friend, who in this case had left their small town home.

The story is about Seth Standford. His life appears to be in a bit of a slump, though he doesn’t see it that way. Seth lives in his parent’s basement playing games in his spare time. He’s become a bit of a hermit, something that everyone around him worries about more than himself. Seth enjoys his online friends and his family is enough contact he needs at the moment. But then he hears the news that his secret crush – Hunter Rodriguez – his brother’s best friend, is coming back to visit their small town of Camden Cove.

The Standford’s and the Rodriguez’s seem to be well to do upper crust of the local society, and add in the fact that Seth’s brother is the mayor, it’s the start of a clique group. When Seth’s brother is sent to hospital after being hit by a drunk driver, this clique gets planning when they discover that Seth doesn’t hate Hunter, but likes him. When Hunter does return he doesn’t need much pushing in Seth’s direction – at first it felt a bit shallow but it does quickly develop into something more.

There is a small dose of drama, which I have to admit that I saw coming a mile away. Nonetheless, it gave the story the little bit of a kick it needed to get Seth and Hunter to the end of HEA. Seriously can’t wait for the next installment! Here’s me hoping to read the story of Seth’s brother (the town mayor) and Hunter’s boss (a millionaire looking to invest in the town).

Review: Where We Belong is a sweet romance between two guys, spanning over 12 years – starting from the moment when the two MCs first meet at an Incubus concert. From memory I’ve enjoyed the sweetness and cuteness of Tia Fielding’s writing, and so I was looking forward to reading this novella. Luckily, I was not disappointed. I enjoyed the straight forward manner in which the story was written. We get the POV of both MCs at key points in their relationship – sharp and to the point, just how I like my stories.

The story is about couple Dusty and Blake. They met at an Incubus concert in Colorado, which they were attending with their respective female BFFs. From this first meeting romance blossoms and we start the journey which spans 12 years starts. These guys are down to earth and totally relatable, which I think is the key to my enjoyment of the story.

As the Incubus song (and the only one I know from the top of my head), Drive says: “So whatever tomorrow brings I’ll be there, with open arms and open eyes.”That seems to describe the story pretty damn well.

Review: Oh. My. God.  Give me a minute while I get my emotions under control. I don’t know how to start this review as my head is still spinning from the wonderfully woven tale to the cliffhanger at the end.

Trying to find allies to fight an evil man is much harder than the band of allies anticipated. But find them they do and just in the nick of time. As with all epic tales there is fantasy mixed with paranormal on every aspect. The worlds themselves are beautifully depicted to the point where you actually see them. Hawk and Kane along with their allies are jolted as a new threat emerges along with the old ones.

I found that splitting the allies up and getting different POVs was extremely informative. We learn more about Molly, as well as a slew of others that have appeared throughout. The more I read of this series the more it climbs my list of all-time favorites.

I don’t want to give anything away so I’ll just say this: read the series. You won’t be disappointed. I certainly was not. As always this series has a lot going on in it and leaves you with a feeling of having been on a long journey underwater and finally let up for air only to feel anticipation for the next book in the series.

Absolutely brilliantly written, I loved it. Highly recommended.

Review: This series is an epic tale of Kane and Hawk, two boys drawn together in the fight of their lives. In this continuation Kane will stop at nothing getting Hawk back. It’s a gruelling and intense journey fraught with allies and a deceitful puck who has insinuated himself in royal household for reasons of his own: power. He causes a deadly uprising with the dark against the royals. He schemes and manipulates anyone to achieve his goal even at the cost of his own.

Kane travels to where Hawk is being held by three sisters who feed on blood. But the connection between Hawk and Kane is powerful yet not without a lot of pain being felt by both of them. They gain allies in the form of two dark assassins, Ator and Pullus who were the ones that originally kidnapped Hawk in the first place.

So much more happens in this awe inspiring story with twists and turns that left me on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen. Simply put an amazing journey with exceptional realms and all sorts of beings with a plot that is fantastic. I loved the entire book and cannot wait to read more.

Highly recommended.

Review: Xander’s life as an artist is working out for him but his love life is abysmal, the men he meets only want one night stands and Xander yearns for something more. Xander’s best friend is concerned about him and challenges him to swear off sex for a month and Xander accepts the challenge. On impulse Xander walks into a tattoo shop to get a tattoo to remind him to think things through and take his time but he meets a man who makes him wish he’d rejected the bet.

Troy is busy establishing his new tattoo parlor when a customer walks into his shop and brings back memories of Troy’s fractured trust, but Troy puts aside the memories of the man who left him high and dry to help the man out. The two reconnect at an artist showcase and over the course of a month become close, until the man who hurt both of them blazes back into their lives.

This is a great story of two men who have both been hurt in different ways finding each other and beginning to build something good between them. First we have Xander who is a talented artist but lacks confidence in finding a man who truly wants him, he’s a nice guy who has been worn down by rejection and sometimes Troy’s reactions have him confused but he’s determined to cling to his hope that Troy is different from the other guys he’s met.

Troy is a lovely man who has had his trust broken by Shane, a man who he thought was a good friend and his secret crush, meeting Xander has him torn at first because he’s seen the man before and he can’t help but wonder if Xander is of the same mindset as his ex-friend.

In this story we follow along as Xander’s and Troy’s friendship develops into something more, we get to see the perspective of both men so we get to enjoy the developing relationship from both sides and we know exactly what’s going through both men’s minds as they traverse their new relationship.

The characters in this story are well written and we get to know them pretty well, not only do we get to enjoy Xander and Troy but also their best friends Eric and Lorcan, I’m hoping we’ll see more of Eric and Lorcan in the future because there’s certainly some chemistry there.

I enjoyed this story, I found the characters to be engaging and entertaining, I enjoyed that their relationship is taken at a slow pace and that trust is built between them. Shane is an ideal bad guy with his selfish attitude, I just hope we’ve seen the last of him because Xander and Troy weren’t the only ones wanting to punch him 😉 . I love Eric and Lorcan because they were perfect supportive friends; they’re the type of guys that you’d love for your own friends so you can turn to them for advice and a night at the pub.

I recommend this story who love everyday contemporary romances, taking a slow paced relationship and adding a bit of tension to spice it up, great characters, a dash of hot sex and a very happy ending.

The White House, infiltrated.

The president, running for his life.

A traitorous general, intent on burning the world to the ground.

When everything falls apart, who do you trust?

President Jack Spiers fled Washington DC on the heels of a devastating attack on CIA headquarters, masterminded by one of America’s own, former General Porter Madigan. While the world believes Jack was killed in the bombing, he embarks on a wild infiltration mission, smuggling himself into occupied Russia to rescue the love of his life: former Secret Service Agent and First Gentleman Ethan Reichenbach.

Reunited, Jack, Ethan, and deposed Russian president Sergey Puchkov, along with President Elizabeth Wall—the only person left in Washington DC who Jack trusts—must work together. They piece together a desperate plan, hunting Madigan to the ends of the earth and the bitter frigidity of the Arctic, where Madigan’s world-shattering doomsday plan comes together.

Outnumbered, outmaneuvered, and outgunned, Jack, Ethan, Sergey, and the rest of the team struggle to put a stop to Madigan and his army. In the desolate extremes of the Arctic, their resolve, their strength, and even their love is tested, pushed to the absolute limits as choices must be made: choices that pit the fate of the world against the love in their hearts, and the loves of their life.

As the world crumbles around them, Jack and Ethan find themselves waging a war on two fronts—against an enemy they can see, and another, hiding within their ranks.

Who can be trusted when the enemy is within you?

Review: Sinders and Ash is, as you can tell from the title, a modern reimagining of the Cinderella. I was totally and completely charmed by this story. I loved it all, from the actual storyline, to the characters and the excellent narration by Kale Williams, who brought every emotion to life fantastically.

Mark Sintorella (Sinders) is a poor housekeeper who does his best to keep his head down and not make any waves at the resort he works at. He’s had a hard life mainly because he was rejected by his family for being gay. Now at the resort his bosses are not kind to him, a sleazy cook constantly hits on him and other workers who whisper words about him behind his back. Everything changes for him when he meets mysterious guest, Carstairs Pennymaker, which also happens to be the day that he meets the son of one of the richest men in the country, Ashton Armitage.

I suppose there are a number of aspects of this story which force you to suspend your disbelief for the entirety of the book. I think the biggest one for me to wrap my head around was Mark’s continuing to appaear as a female when dressing in the clothes he makes – which are, like in any fairytale, are runway worthy, I think. I think it just got to the point where at the end I was thinking “why?”

All in all, I loved this fairytale of poor boy meets rich boy and they fall in love. Carstairs Pennymaker, the whimsical elven guy (seriously, wtf is he??) is as lovable as the two main characters. A real satisfying read and I can’t wait to get to book 2!

Blurb: Young Snowden “Snow” Reynaldi is brilliant, beautiful, and alone. Though he’s shy, weird, and tolerated by the NorCal University students because he’s a renowned whiz at chess and helps put the school on the map, that doesn’t keep him from dreaming of the object of his desires: Riley Prince, championship quarterback.

When Riley needs a physics tutor, Snow jumps at the chance, and their relationship heats up – but Riley has to come out of the jock closet to get anywhere. Meanwhile, Snow’s one true friend and mentor, Professor Kingsley, marries a woman who secretly wants the chess tournament glory and money for herself. Soon after, the professor collapses and Snow finds himself underwater – literally. In a car!

Seven frat brothers from Grimm College rescue Snow just in time for his life to get even worse, and Snow discovers the one relationship he always wanted slipping away. With evil looming at every turn, Snow must survive if only to prove he’s the fairest of them all and regain the trust of his handsome prince.

Review: Everything about Driven Snow is absolutely awesome! This is a reimagining of the Snow White fairytale, so luckily you don’t need to read book 1 (based on Cinderella) to get all the characters. Once again the narration by Kale Williams just tops off a most wonderful and whimsical tale which takes us into the world of college and grand chess masters.

Snowden Reynaldi, aka Snow, is a champion chess player and a feather in the cap to his college because he is basically unbeatable. He’s shy and super smart and basically the type of nerd everyone can love, especially if you can relate to him. His Prince Charming is the popular jock, Riley Prince. The problem being for any romance is that Riley is deep inside the closet. With a beloved teacher/chess mentor/father figure in addition to a conniving witch who doesn’t want Snow to succeed at the chess championships, all our players are in place.

Well most of them – after all the traditional story is “Snow White and the Seven Dwarves”. I have to admit, I was really curious about how this part was going to play out, although the blurb does tell us it’s seven frat brothers from nearby Grimm College but that was only enough information to pique my curiosity. Plus, you know, that whole glass coffin thing – I was really wondering if there was more to that too than we see in the blurb. I have to say that I loved the frat guys, they were all funny and at one point they definitely had more brains than Prince Charming!

Of course being a Pennymaker tale, I was looking forward to the appearance of the fairy godfather elven man himself (I still don’t know what he is). He isn’t in the story as much as I would have liked but he definitely has a helper in the guise of Riley’s friendly neighbor, a kind old lady who is something of a fairy godmother. And now I want to get into book 3 because I am totally charmed by the worlds that Tara Lain has woven using the modern world and fairytales!

Review: Amy Lane is the only author who could play with my heart this way; no matter what she writes, be it vein-slashing angst or light, fluffy romance, Amy’s books never fail to engage my feelings to the max. Gah! Bonfires is so much more than a book! Bonfires is a story about life, with real life characters who deal with real life problems; I know this book is fiction, but it felt like the real deal.

The MCs are both mature characters with families of their own, both in their 40’s with grown kids who learn that happiness comes in all shapes and forms. There was something so real about Aaron and Larx, something so easy to relate to, I couldn’t help but fall in love with them both. Aaron is a deputy sheriff and Larx is a high school principal, they’re both bisexual and both have known love and loss in their lives, even if it was in different contexts. But what I loved the most about them was that they were both amazing fathers who’s love for their children was easy to see.

There’s a lot going on in this book… high school drama (because we deal with a school full of teenagers, DUH!) and Larx’s fight to make ALL kids feel safe and protected; a case of attempted murder that might or might not be a hate crime, a body floating in the lake, and a plot that ties it all together perfectly. Despite the fact that Aaron and Larx’s romance was not the only focus of the entire book, their relationship carried the undertones of maturity and solidity. I was perfectly content with the way their romance was handled; there might not have been fireworks and explosions, but the comforting, everlasting slow burn was fitting for them both.

The secondary characters were outstanding on their own, from the town bitch and resident evil, to the amazing kids like Larx’s daughter Christiana, Aaron’s son Kirby, and Larx’s new ‘adoptee’ Kellan. There’s a secondary romance we got to witness for a very short time, one that’s fragile and vulnerable. I am dying to read more about those two particular characters in the future!!!! I need to read their story like I need air to breathe!

This book was amazing, I can’t recommend it enough!

Blurb: Jimmy Brink and Eric Halter grew up together in a small country town. While Eric has always been content with life as a rancher, Jimmy wanted more and moved to Chicago early on to pursue a medical career.

Life has a way of coming back around. When Jimmy’s parents decide to retire in Florida, Jimmy returns to his hometown to finish his residency at a local hospital. Flamboyant boyfriend Oliver in tow, Jimmy bumps into his old friend. Eric quickly takes a disliking to Oliver, though, and for good reason. Oliver proves he’s not only self-centered but also a cheater.

To complicate matters, Eric finds it more and more difficult to hide his attraction to his best friend. When the opportunity arises, he needs to decide whether to risk their friendship to pursue his feelings, but maybe Jimmy will see there’s more for him now than ever before in his hometown.

Review: My Hometown is your usual Gay-for-you type trope, right down to two childhood besties harboring lifelong crushes on each other but never able to admit the truth to each other. In all honesty, the only reason I didn’t rate this one a 5/5 was because I found that aspect a little too tiring at times and I just wanted the guys to get a move on.

But I’m jumping ahead of myself.

The two best friends in question are Jimmy and Eric. They grew up in a small town, working on their parents’ farms, but once they finished high school, Jimmy went off into the big bad city where he studied to become a doctor. That was when things started to go bad for their friendship. Jimmy is a bit of a lazy friend, as in he is hopeless in keeping in contact with Eric, though Eric could have also tried as well (but that’s beside the point).

But then Jimmy moves back to take over management of his family’s farm when his parents retire. He doesn’t plan on taking over operations completely as he will be there to manage things while also completing his residency at the local hospital. So, what we got essentially is 2 best friends that love each other and a rift that is only made worse by Jimmy’s cheating (for lack of a better word) boyfriend.

That’s the bare bones of the story. As I said, it’s pretty much what you’d expect from this type of story. Its fun and I liked the country twang that the narrator uses, I got no idea if the accent is accurate but I loved it and thought that it was perfectly charming.

Blurb: A Marine with honor.

After surviving a horrific chemical attack that turned him into a metahuman, Captain Jamie Callahan got a second lease on life. For three years he’s been working for the Metahuman Defense Force and leading Alpha Team—all against the wishes of his family. The job requires his full dedication, so it’s no surprise Jamie doesn’t have time for a relationship. An enticing one-night stand with a gorgeous stranger is all it takes to show Jamie exactly what he’s been missing. When a mission to take down a terrorist cell brings that same stranger back into his world, Jamie’s life gets complicated.

A soldier with secrets.

Staff Sergeant Kyle Brannigan was only looking to relieve some stress after a long mission. He didn’t know the hot guy he picked up at a bar was the leader of the MDF’s top field team. When Kyle and his partner get seconded to Alpha Team to help fight a terrorist threat, he has to balance his desire for Jamie against his duty to keep his secrets safe. That gets harder and harder to do amidst regulations both are tempted to break.

Two men trying to survive.

Giving into passion could cost both their careers. Abiding by the rules will only result in heartache. An attack on MDF headquarters brings with it a choice Jamie and Kyle can’t escape—duty, or love?

In the Wreckage is a 100k word steamy m/m sci-fi military romance with a HFN ending. There is military violence within the story that may not be suitable for everyone, as well as explicit intimate scenes not suitable for readers under 18.

Review: The year is 2284 and Earth is a completely changed planet while many things stayed the same. Many parts of Earth are uninhabitable because of extremely high temperatures, water and coffee are luxuries, and humans and metahumans are fighting together against a common enemy: terrorists. Splice is a new chemical bomb developed by terrorists and used to wipe out large numbers of humans, only nobody could’ve anticipated some humans having a natural immunity to the drug, which caused parts of their DNA to be activated, resulting in superpowers. We now have telekinetics, super-healers, pyrotechnics, anti-gravity masters, super-strength, telepaths and teleporters and OH MY!

Prepare to be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information thrown at you in the first few chapters, as well as the high number of characters, each with their own special role and super power. At the center of this new universe we have Kyle and Jaime, both of them strong men and unique characters. A one night stand that was supposed to serve as a stress reliever turns into an off-the-charts hot, intense, filthy and raw fuck session. Kyle and Jaime are made for each other and complement each other’s needs perfectly; if you’re expecting a sweet romance you’re going to be disappointed. Kyle and Jaime’s relationship is a power exchange in disguise. Kyle craves pain and loves to be used sexually, and Jaime doesn’t hold back at all! The sex is raw and filthy and animalistic, so don’t expect anything else.

I liked many things about this book, especially the plot and the story line because it was nothing short of fascinating. I loved that the women were treated no differently than the men and were just as important; you won’t find any damsels in distress in this story. I loved the sense of friendship and camaraderie between the characters, especially the family dynamics Kyle and Jaime each had with their own families. I liked the idea that metahumans were both good guys and bad guys, because super powers don’t equal integrity.

However there were a few plot holes and trains of thought that were abandoned or left unsolved along the way. At the end of the book, I’m not sure where the MDF stands in the fight against terrorists and what the situation with the vaccines against the effects of Splice is. My biggest problem however was with how incredibly LONG the fuckfest between Kyle and Jaime lasted. I felt all fucked out at the end of each and every scene; I get that being mutahumans gives Kyle and Jaime stamina, but the sex lasted 5-8 pages long EACH AND EVERY TIME!!!! I wanted to whimper in misery ‘please stop!’

Considering this is a new author to me and this is the beginning of a new series, I have to say I’m pretty impressed. I am curious how the rest of this series will play out.

Review: I have to admit, I was a little shallow when it came to actually choosing to read this book – I chose it because I live in Adelaide and if I can’t read about my own city I can at least read about a road that goes by the same name in Dublin. That aside, Scenes from Adelaide Road is a fantastic book that is really a coming of age for a couple of Irish lads who are trying to break free from their pasts and make their way in the world.

Lennart is from the West Country and moves to Dublin after finding out that he inherited a house from a grandfather he had never known was alive. He grows up the victim of bullies and no matter how much he tried to blend in, he was always a target. With only his father left to raise him, the man makes no effort to hide the fact that he hates his own son and expects Lennart to fail at everything. After only a couple days in Dublin, Lennart plucks up the courage to go to a gay bar where he meets Aidan. Aidan’s upbringing has been completely opposite. While he has been the victim of some bullying he has a loving and supporting family who would do anything for them.

Out of home and living together in Lennart’s inherited house, there is an element of self discovery. In addition to learning about each other and exploring a relationship, they also learn about the grandfather that Lennart had never been able to meet because of his selfish and horrible father. In some ways Lennart’s grandfather is the heart of the story and the heart of the drama, because Lennart’s father comes back in his life in a really horrible way. I love the attraction between the guys and the development of the characters, especially Lennart who learns to stand up for himself.

This is the type of story that appeals to many types. Although, almost in the realm of young adult it does not feel like one, instead this more about breaking free of the horrors of bullying and learning to stand up for yourself. Lennart is a strong character that I think is universally relatable and very appealing despite being so broken.

Blurb: Sometimes there’s a difference between duty and doing what’s right. And sometimes doing what’s right comes with a high price.

Every aspasian at Asiq adores the handsome peacekeeper Resan—all except for Arin. While the other workers vie for Resan’s attention, Arin avoids him at all costs, which rouses Resan’s suspicion. When he discovers Arin is a runaway slave, Resan is bound by law to return him to his master. It is only later that Resan realizes what he’s done. Arin’s owner bought him at twelve, married him, and not only violated Arin himself, but loaned him out to his friends. Resan has returned him to a life of rape and abuse, and now he must make a decision: free Arin and abandon the oaths he swore as a peacekeeper, or leave him to languish and abandon his own conscience and heart.

Review: I don’t know quite how to begin this review. I’ll start with the characters themselves. Resan is a peacekeeper and believes one hundred percent in upholding the law no matter the circumstances. He’s arrogant and I honestly could not stand him until the very end.

Arin works at Asiq and tries his best to stay away from the peacekeeper due to the fact he is runaway slave of a deplorable man. Resan fins out and gets in touch with Arin’s master to give him back. When the meeting happens he learns Arin was sold to man at twelve years old and has been raped repeatedly since by the man and his friends. This is where I actually got sick to my stomach.

I hate stories with any child rape in them especially when said story mentions it over and over again. Trust me I got the message the first time it was said. It was hard to believe Rasen did a one eighty and wanted to help Arin I did not believe it in the least. The whole story seemed as though it was forced and at times was confusing in its explanations.

I cannot fathom in a situation where someone forced someone back into a life where they are being abused, then to start to trust the individual responsible for putting them back into the situation? Not in the world I live in it doesn’t happen. So naturally I did not believe a relationship would form other than hate at being put into the situation after having escaped it to begin with.

I still cannot wrap my mind around this story, nor do I want to. Just glad it’s over.

I absolutely did not like anything about this story.

Review: Each book in the Kansas City Heat collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

I love the way this author can put together a book that not only fascinates you but draws you in. I had a blast reading this and look forward to reading more by Jenna. The characters are beautifully written with big hearts, however if you cross them, they have no problem putting you down.

There is a new drug out there that is sold extremely cheap and is ending up in the hands of teenagers. It has the police department searching for a way to stop it. It brings it even closer to home, seeing as Wynn’s son is thirteen. Wynn seems to have many problems at hand on top of the damn drug. His son has come out gay, and Connor’s mom’s husband is not taking it to well.

On top of that Wynn is falling for Connor’s teacher. It would seem Reilly feels the same way. Now they just have to figure out how to stop the danger from hitting close to home.

I can honestly tell you that this is going to be one of those types of series that you can’t put down and have to read more than once. It is the perfect story for me and gave me all that I needed. In fact I think that this one is my favorite.

I love the way all the feelings they felt was involved in this story. I had a blast reading it and I can’t wait to read the next story. When Jenna puts out a book I am usually there to eat them up. I would definitely recommend reading this book. Trust me it will keep you laughing, crying, loving and having fun.

Review: This is book two in the Shadow play series. Ulysses, journalist, was a very ambitious man. He wanted the top story and did what it took to get it until he was discredited. Robin a man with a dark past corroborates with Ulysses to find out the truth about some murders. Which puts both men’s lives in danger.

I really liked the mystery part of the story. The way Ulysses sought out facts was fascinating. But I have t say I was intrigued by the mysterious yet sexy Robin. As more details about his past are revealed I was wondering how they would make it out alive.

I liked the story though I felt it was a little drawn out.

Review: Two men come together to kill those responsible for another’s death.  Owen was murdered trying to stop something, although it is said a robbery gone wrong, everyone knows it is a lie.  Now his brother and his best friend must prove who did the killing and make Owen’s death right.

Now I had heard, not read, that this story was in “The Brothers in Arms Anthology”.  There is murder, revenge, violence and so much more in such a short story.  The problem with it was the way it was told.  It just came off very choppy and did not flow like it really should have.  I also didn’t much like the idea of two men committing murder, even if it was for someone they loved.  I am sorry to say that this book was definitely not for me.
