Review: It’s a small world after all. Grayson Wright is a workaholic that puts his job before his relationship more often than not. He decides to surprise his boyfriend of ten years by having their close friends and family over for a surprise party.

Across town, Chase Rivers is on a date with the sexy guy that has been coming on to him for over a month. A small niggle in the back of Chase’s mind has always thought there was a little something off about Devon, but the guy seems to truly like him. Imagine Chase’s surprise when they make it back to Devon’s home and just as Devon heads down south… SURPRISE!

In the strangest twist of fate to possibly ever be written, Chase winds up working for Mr. Wright. It’s positively hysterical. The two men are seriously dumbfounded and speechless when they are around each other, they’ve done nothing but think about each other in the brief time since that fateful first glance and finding out they are about to be co-workers. Each one thinks the other hates him, but they seriously just don’t know how to communicate their true feelings at the start. A valiant effort to keep things professional is made, and quickly dies.

The attraction is instantaneous and the passion they share is volcanic, but the author made up for that sort of insta love aspect by holding off on the full on sex in the story. There is a lot of making out and heavy petting, but the consummation only comes after a steady climb, the anticipation was amazing. And while the core of this story was Chase finding his Mr. Wright, there was a solid storyline underneath all the chemistry.

Chase and Grayson have both been betrayed by an ex, that betrayal left a mark on both men. Then there is the issue of boss and employee dating and not just how the two men handle that situation, but how their co-workers react. Feelings get hurt, words are misunderstood, conclusions made. Chase and Grayson will have to figure out how to be friends, lovers and co-workers without letting the lines blur.

This book grabbed my attention from the start, with that horribly awkward meeting, and held it until the very end. The way Walker wove the stories together, connecting several characters and their lives in such quirky or unique ways was amazing. There was so much content and a lot of pages, but I never felt like the story was dragging, the pace was consistent and the story just flowed well throughout.

If you are a fan of cheesy, romantic, love stories you are really going to love this book! There was a strong storyline wrapped up in a sugary bow with a whole lot of passion and some toe curling sex. It reminded me a bit of Scotty Cade’s series with the co-workers slash lovers that had been in love for years, but never admitted it, and then finally got their chance at a HEA. So if you like Cade, this is a no brainer.
