Tony Porter and Marc Powell had lived in the same house for the past eight years, since their single parents moved in together. When Tony’s mother Marie and Marc’s father Dennis decide to tie the knot at last, it should be an occasion of great joy for everyone. Except all Marc can think about is having to spend the next two weeks with the young man he’s been in love with since he was sixteen.

Tony feels so torn about Marc coming home from college. He keeps telling himself that it’s wrong to feel this way about him. After all, in two weeks’ time they’ll be related. So when the two young men are thrown together to prepare for the wedding, tensions rise and discoveries are made.

It’s going to be a very long two weeks, and a wedding that no one will ever forget.

About K.C. Wells

Born and raised in the north-west of England, K.C.Wells always loved writing. Words were important. Full stop. However, when childhood gave way to adulthood, the writing ceased, as life got in the way.

K.C. discovered erotic fiction in 2009, where the purchase of a ménage storyline led to the startling discovery that reading about men in love was damn hot. In 2012, arriving at a really low point in life led to the desperate need to do something creative. An even bigger discovery waited in the wings – writing about men in love was even hotter…

K.C. now writes full-time and is loving every minute of her new career.

The laptop still has no idea of what hit it… it only knows that it wants a rest, please. And it now has to get used to the idea that where K.C goes, it goes.

Blurb: Tony Porter and Marc Powell had lived in the same house for the past eight years, since their single parents moved in together.

Review: Marc has been away at university and now the time has come for him to head home to his family in Manchester, and while he is looking forward to his father’s marriage to the woman he has lived with for eight years he is dreading the change in relationship with his soon-to-be step-brother Tony, the young man who stole his heart when he was only sixteen. Tony is in turmoil over his feelings for Marc as they aren’t very brotherly and he has no clue how to handle the next couple of weeks, but admitting to himself how he truly feels has him hoping that Marc could be on the same page, but nothing is easy when it comes to family.

Well, this is one of those situations that could either have you shrugging and asking ‘so what’ or it could have you thinking ‘that’s so wrong; they are like brothers to each other’. Just what do you do when step-brothers fall in love? How will their family and family friends react? And how do those two men deal with the unknown reactions? Marc and Tony and their combined family face all of this and more as they organise a wedding, get surprising family news and face a fall out from a drunken confrontation.

Marc has been living as an out gay man in London but returning to Manchester has him returning to the closet as he has never told anyone but his twin sister he is gay, Marc’s problems are compounded by his feelings for Tony who will be his official step-brother when their parents finally marry. Marc thinks a lot about the repercussions of admitting his feelings for Tony and he won’t even consider how his dad would react to him being gay. When Tony discovers Marc’s feelings for him he is overjoyed until Marc shoots him down, and then just when he thinks Marc is coming around he is left picking up the pieces of a broken heart.

There is more than just Marc and Tony involved in this story, there are the respective parents and siblings, the entire family, to be taken into account as this story plays out. The whole story is played out over two weeks and it is very much touch and go as to how Tony and Marc’s relationship will end up. This is a great story that shows us all the family reactions as everything comes out, the shock, the hurt, the anger and the love, and yes while we hope that Marc will pull his head out of his arse, we worry about the reaction of the entire family because of how well K.C. Wells has drawn us into their lives. This is a great story that shows us the power of fear and of family.

I recommend this to those who love family drama, a young man fighting for love, a young man worried about reactions, an incredible family and a very happy ending.
