Endings and Beginnings

(Collars & Cuffs 08)

K.C. Wells & Parker Williams

In all his relationships, Darren Fielding never found the level of intimacy he witnessed between Thomas Williams and his sub, Peter, the day of Peter’s “rebirth.” Not only that, he never realized such intimacy was possible. For two years, Thomas’s business card has been burning a hole in his wallet. When Darren’s lover moves on, maybe it’s finally time to see where that card takes him.

Collars & Cuffs’s new barman, JJ Taylor, is really conflicted right now. He went to the club with a very specific purpose, already convinced of what he’d find there. Except it’s not what he expected at all. He certainly didn’t anticipate finding himself drawn to the new wannabe Dom. Nor could he have guessed the direction that attraction would lead him.

Old love, new love, vows, pain, rage, moving in, moving on…. The members of Collars & Cuffs face an event that touches some of them deeply, but it will only reinforce what they already know: together they are stronger, and some bonds cannot be broken.

This is the final book in the series, which should be read from Beginning to End. 😉 (See what we did there?)

I want insight into your writing partnership with K.C., how you click, how you bounce ideas off each other and how your friendship is going from strength to strength because of it (or not, I know K.C. has got to be wanting to bury you somewhere.)

Okay, first off: Why does everyone think I’m the one who is going to be buried? Seriously. KC has almost as many flaws as me. Okay, maybe not almost as many, but she has her own unique set. :sigh: Fine. She’s a perfect cowriter. I can’t imagine life without her. (rolls eyes)

Writing with KC is amazing. She’s so on the ball. She likes to plot the story out, whereas I more or less let the story take me in the direction it wants to go. We’ve learned to work together. We do a basic plot, but we leave it with enough room that we can change it as we go.

Our strengths vary. She’s usually focused (except when it comes to her pure evil (coffee), or she sees a squirrel or bunny. I’m not quite as focused, and my mind tends to wander as we discuss things. Especially if I’m looking at pictures of guys. Hot, sweaty, hairy guys. Mmmmmm.

I will be the first to admit, she’s very patient with me. When my brain goes off on a tangent, she grabs a cup of pure evil, and then sits and waits until my mind catches up with what we’re supposed to be doing.

I like to think that we click. We discuss story ideas, seeing if any of them sound good. We’ve got five or six stories coming up for the new series we’re going to be working on toward the end of the year. One of them is something I’ve never written before, but the story came to me in a dream. The weird thing? When I told KC, her reaction was totally priceless, because SHE had the same idea, and had been about to tell me. Apparently we share a brain. Or a brain cell.

I’ll tell you now, though…KC Wells is a genius. She’s got a true handle on setting the scene and the mood. I write excerpts that I save to a folder, and she makes them work for the story. Writing with her is an incredible opportunity.

“Honey, I’m home.”

Alex laughed and came out of the kitchen to greet his husband. “We’ve talked about this, right? You do not walk into this apartment and talk to me like I’m the little wife.”

Leo kissed him soundly on the cheek. “Aw, but you’d look great in an apron, holding a glass of beer out for your weary, hard-working hubby.” He smirked. “And besides, no one in their right mind would call you little.”

Alex quirked his eyebrows. “One, you don’t drink beer, which is why there’s a glass of chilled chardonnay on the living room table, waiting for you. Two, excuse me—weary? Hard-working? You’ve been standing around in leather chaps and a harness, watching while guys do all manner of things to each other, which probably included a lot of fucking, because, hey, it’s Saturday night, right?”

Leo sighed happily. “What can I say? I love my job.”

About K.C. & Parker

K.C. Wells:

Born and raised in the north-west of England, K.C.Wells always loved writing. Words were important. Full stop. However, when childhood gave way to adulthood, the writing ceased, as life got in the way.

K.C. discovered erotic fiction in 2009, where the purchase of a ménage storyline led to the startling discovery that reading about men in love was damn hot. In 2012, arriving at a really low point in life led to the desperate need to do something creative. An even bigger discovery waited in the wings – writing about men in love was even hotter…

K.C. now writes full-time and is loving every minute of her new career.

The laptop still has no idea of what hit it… it only knows that it wants a rest, please. And it now has to get used to the idea that where K.C goes, it goes.

K.C. can be reached via email (k.c.wells@btinternet.com), on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/KCWellsWorld), on Twitter ( or through comments at the K.C.Wells website (www.kcwellsworld.com ) K.C. loves to hear from readers.

Parker Williams:

Parker Williams began to write as a teen, but never showed his work to anyone. As he grew older, he drifted away from writing, but his love of the written word moved him to reading. A chance encounter with an author changed the course of his life as she encouraged him to never give up on a dream. With the help of some amazing friends, he rediscovered the joy of writing, thanks to a community of writers who have become his family.

Parker firmly believes in love, but is also of the opinion that anything worth having requires work and sacrifice (plus a little hurt and angst, too). The course of love is never a smooth one, and Happily Ever After always has a price tag.
