Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order. Also coincides with Beyond the Angel Pack Series.

This book managed to touch me with some of its more emotional tones. Crew in the past books gave the impression of one thing. But he is so much more and really very relatable by anyone who has felt like an outsider.

Due to his upbringing with his family he has such a low opinion of himself. It takes two mates and his chosen family to make him see how truly special and appreciated he really is. But he does have so many issues to get there.

I enjoyed Haven and Laylen. I don’t feel like I know as much about them, but what I did learn and read made me like them for Crew. Really I got the sense that this was Crew’s book, Haven and Laylen were there to make Crew happy and finally give him peace and happiness. They finally allowed Crew to be himself.

Oh my Gawd, was the sex hot, and dirty, and whoo. It was steam worthy to say the least. And maybe just a tad over the top. But damn I was fine with that.

Throughout the story there is the ongoing story arc of good versus bad and the upcoming battle. Malachi and his cohorts are up to their old tricks and target Crew with some bad juju. It also showed how Crew was seen as the weakest link and how he was overlooked as an assist to the pack.

I must say this was one of my favorites in the Angel Pack universe. I really felt a connection to Crew and his trials and tribulations. The book really pulled me in and kept me reading. I was engrossed from start to end.
