Review: By all that is holy, Mary Calmes you are one sick and twisted individual… and I love it. Jin is still struggling with his new powers, he has received devastating news about Crane, Russ goes missing and a challenge is called… can anything else go wrong.

By now I am sure you are all familiar with Jin, Logan and the gang and if not then why not? This is again from Jin’s first person POV.  In this installment, Jin is still struggling to get to grips with his Nekhene cat powers, which are all over the place and affecting people around him. Logan is still supportive, loving, strong and patient… really patient. I won’t go into any detail with this one because I’d just confuse myself… err, I mean you. Because it is involved and it does have a few different off shoots and seriously, Jin can ramble on like no one’s business when he gets lost in his head.

This book had me from the first few sentences and I thought my heart was going to stop.  I really thought that I was going to start this book by crying but ,thank god, Ms Calmes pulled me back from the brink only to shove me over the cliff a couple of pages later. This author is evil and will take you on a rollercoaster ride with your emotions. There is so much angst, violence, anger, rage, despair, guilt, hope, joy, happiness and love in this book that it’s hard to say which one you will experience the most.  All I can say is you will experience all of them.

Even though this has a happy ending, it’s still a sad ending as well.  Jin and Logan’s family and Tribe change. I don’t know if I will ever forgive Ms Calmes for what she put Crane through; I really do think she went too far with one of our favorite characters… now if it had been Koren that would have been understood. All the characters go through a lot in this book and I loved each and every one of them and as this is the last one I will miss them all.

I recommend this for those who love all of the above and I think you should get this book and lock yourself in a room with a pot of tea and some chocolates and enjoy.

  1. I love the “Change of Heart” series! Here is hoping there are more to come so we can return to Jin & Logan. My only complaint is the book covers. Jin is adorable but Logan looks more like a women than the strong man he is.
