Review: This is the start to this series and trust me, you will want to start with this story. At first, I can honestly tell you that I didn’t like it as much as I might have, but once I got past part of it, the story started turning really hot. When you read the first book, it gives you an insight into their lives and the reason they are the way they are. It also shows you part of their amazing world.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I can tell you that I am amazed. When you love one way then find out that it wasn’t really love but just lust. Because when you find that special person that draws you in and makes you feel more than you have ever felt before, then you know what it is like to love.

Caleb was three years old when his mother left him with his uncle. She had left his uncle a bit of knowledge into what Caleb would be going through in his future. Too bad, he himself had not been told. So on his thirteenth birthday he learns the truth, the truth is he was a werewolf. It had bound him to Tara from that moment on until the time came when it wasn’t enough. He was trying his hardest to lead a pack after the pack alpha passed away, but he had so many things to learn.

The betrayal of his friends was in part but the other was the fact that he was falling in love with a vampire. Wolves and vampires were not friends. In fact, the wolves were killing vampires left and right. However, Gabriel made him feel things that he had never felt before.
Gabriel was a vampire who didn’t really know the reason for all of the hatred. He had been changed over close to eight hundred years ago and he had seen a lot. He did know he wanted Caleb no matter what. He knew that if it was found out that Caleb would lose his pack and he was willing to do what he could to help Caleb even if it meant hiding their relationship.

But Tara betrayed Caleb and told the pack. Told them that not only was Caleb gay but his lover was a vampire. The danger, pain, and anger that this brought out was extreme. The twist to this story made me wanting more. It also left me angry and hanging.

I was angry about the way it ended, but I know that book two will give me some of what was taken back. Or at least I hope so because it would be the worst ending I had ever came across. For someone so young to have to go through not only finding out he was a werewolf, but that he had spent most of his teen years and so later with a female, only to find out sometime later that he like men then to come across such hatred for someone just because of what they were, must be hell on earth.

However, in all sense this was an amazing book. It gives you two very sexy men, an angry female, excitement, adventure, action, anger, enemies, hero’s, passion and fire, hot sex and betrayal. It gives you that and so much more.

I would recommend reading this book because it will draw you in and keep you captivated. I can’t wait to get my hands on book two.
