Blurb: After surviving a relationship with an abusive former Dom, Jax Barrett has no desire to fall back into BDSM, a lifestyle that terrifies him. When a friend convinces him to check out the hot cowboys in a leather bar, Jax spots a handsome hunk of an older man and things begin looking up.

As soon as Jax sees the gorgeous cowboy, his best friend Marc, suggests they play a game they’ve been playing since they were kids. When he dares Jax to love and then leave the man he calls ‘old’, Jax rises to the bait and everything goes downhill from there.

Cort Branson has loved and lost before but when his best friend Peter finally convinces him to find a young submissive to take his mind off things, Cort reluctantly agrees. They head out for Raw Hide, a cowboy leather bar known for beautiful submissive men. When he sees a hot young man who shows interest in him, Cort begins to think maybe he should put his painful past behind him.

Sometimes games come with consequences but it’s only a game. Right? Just when Cort and Jax think they’ll both have a chance at love again, the men realize that everything their relationship is built on, is nothing but a lie. Sometimes dares are all in fun… and sometimes… they lead to heartache.

Review: I really did not know what to think about this story as I have a problem with people daring others to mess with other peoples lives. Cort and Jax are both dared by their friends to do different things to however catches their eyes. I did not understand how people could do that to each other.

Nevertheless the love between these men as the story progressed was almost heartbreaking because of the dares.

It was still a really good read with plenty of drama and sexy scenes for all. I loved Cort and Jax together and was cheering them on throughout.

Great read.
