Blurb: Peirs had accepted his life of servitude to an angel. His keeper asked only for a willing body, and in exchange his needs were met and he was fed and clothed. Peirs might have served the angel forever—it was the only life he knew—but one day Peirs discovered something he had no way to plan for. After two millennia, he was pregnant. Peirs now must summon the courage to escape his master and the unbendable divine law that declared no half-breeds should live, but running into an angelic soldier in the back room of a bar wasn’t part of his plan.

After years of begging to go to the battlefields on Earth, Tabbis, the youngest angel in Heaven, finally got his assignment. Ready for heroics and bloodshed, he was stunned when he found enchanting and seductive Peirs instead. Tabbis was duty bound to kill Peirs, but Peirs’s very existence challenged everything Tabbis thought he knew.

Tabbis needs answers. Peirs wants nothing more than to save his baby and live in peace. Can they band together to help each other? Or will the wrath of Heaven tear them apart?

Review: Piers has a miserable life after watching his race decimated. He’s an incubus who is enslaved and made to please his master. This goes on for a while until the time comes when he finds out he’s pregnant. Scared for his unborn child he knows he has to escape no matter the cost.

Tabbis is a young angel sent on a mission to do away with Piers but he finds he’s not able to. When the two meet Tabbis has second thoughts for the incubus. He finds himself falling for the man. Even though he knows it’s wrong and that he may himself be in trouble for helping the man.

I loved this story. Piers plight made my heart break as no one should be subjected to that against their will. He suffered so much I was surprised he was still sane. Tabbis was a blessing in disguise for Pier.

The whole story was a great journey to escape from their servitude and start living while making sure to keep safe from all those that would do them harm.

Great read.
