Review:  Each book in the Coalition Training Academy collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.  This is a branch off of the Lost Shifter series and is a young adult type of book.  Which means pretty much no sex, because they are kids.

I have read the Lost Shifters series as well as the Wayne County Wolves and Assassin’s Loyalty series, which are branch offs as well.  So when I saw this I knew I had to grab it, however I did not take into consideration that the soldiers were just kids, so there was no juicy sex in it.  However Stephani does not let her reader’s down.

Jax’s parents are not easy to get along with.  They are shifters but his father hates that part of them.  He is a mean asshat who makes Jax’s life hell.  Now it is time to decide a human college or the academy.  He wants to be a soldier and will do everything he can to get it.  He is a surprise though, even as a lion shifter he is on the small side.

As with most kids when they make a decision, whether it is right or wrong, their hearts take on a bit.  He fears that he will let the coalition down because he is small and can’t fight.  However he is going to be very surprised and so will you.

I get a kick out of the characters in these stories; they are entertaining to say the least.  Take Shane, he is small with an angel face, and is a skilled assassin.  Never let size determine you future.  I loved this story although I wished the kids were not kids, but hey cannot get everything we want.  I just hope to hear about them in the future when they find their mates.

I had a lot of fun with this and cannot wait to get my hands on the next book.  I would definitely recommend this story and the previous series as well.
