Blurb: Kevin Reeves enrolls in a night course and meets the sexy Dominic Pierce, an independent, blind emo. A mutual attraction quickly develops into a full-blown romance and after a violent confrontation with his father, Kevin moves in with him.

But he soon discovers that far from protecting Dominic like he thought, members of the neighborhood gang think Dominic is a monster and are terrified of him. Meanwhile, someone from Kevin’s past begins blackmailing him for sex, leaving him humiliated, feeling guilty, and suffering from nightmares that cast Dominic as a bloodthirsty monster. Worried that Dominic will dump him if he finds out, Kevin struggles to keep his blackmail a secret.

But Dominic has dark secrets of his own. He has a job he won’t discuss that keeps him away from sunup to sunset and he makes secret nightly excursions after he thinks Kevin has fallen asleep. Can Kevin get away from his blackmailer? Will he find out what Dominic does all day and where he sneaks out to every night?

And can their love survive when he finally uncovers the truth?

Review: The blurb of this book intrigued me when I read it. Kevin comes across as someone who allows people to use him in certain circumstances which I didn’t understand. Dominic struck me as a strong individual who would do anything for Kevin.

The reader is able to see as Kevin matures the further you read. These two seemed perfect for one another as the story progressed. I really enjoyed both characters but would have preferred Kevin to be stronger than he was at times.

You don’t really learn a lot about Dominic and why he is the way he is at first. It was an interesting read to say the least. Keeps your attention from start to finish.

Good read.
