Review: This book takes place in the nineties and centers around a college student, Dani, about to set out on his first tour as part of a boy band. It’s been his dream since he can remember. Until then what Danny wants is some companionship. Male companionship. So he sends out a wanted ad for a friend, possibly more. Some of the letters aren’t at all what he wanted but one peaks his interest. They start a correspondence through letter only. What Danny can’t believe is that the man he’s been talking to is his roommate who he’s crushed on and what a wonderful opportunity to live out his physical fantasies before leaving for Germany. Danny falls hard and fast for Kirk and reconsiders his once in a lifetime opportunity because he can’t stand the thought of leaving what he and Kirk have.

What follows is fairly obvious but that made it hurt no less. One of my favorite nostalgic moments was when Kirk makes Danny and actual mixed tape. Brings back memories and definitely transports me back to those days. The story didn’t feel rushed. The characters were enjoyable and fun. The chemistry between the MCs was sexy but sweet in that new and first love kind of way. The ending was kind of left open so maybe we’ll see more from these boys.
