Review: Each book in the Unexpected collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

I am afraid to say that the cover of this book was very daunting and drab looking to me, so I wasn’t as inspired to read this story, plus the title was just off. I had read the second book in this series and had wanted to know what happened to the baby.

This story has a dark tone to it that I really didn’t care for at all. Also the characters were not a full filling to me as they should have been. The story did have some great spots and a lot of potential to it.

Gerome is not a favorite of mine although I do feel for him. His unborn’s father is in love with Sam, his unborn child is in danger, and his father is forcing him to marry. Not something he wanted so Gerome takes it out on the stranger he is forced to mate with. He wanted love and that was what saved him with me. He has the same dream that many have but instead of going forward with Luis, he treats him like crap. However Luis isn’t going to take it.

Luis was a happy student who was carefree and loving life. That is until he is forced to mate the vampire prince. Gerome wants his complete submission and has another thing coming. However Luis withdraws so much that he is no longer who he used to be. It takes a friend to step in and help these two.

This story turned out better than I had thought but it was missing something to make it what it should have been. Like I said before I didn’t care for the cover of the book or the title, but once you start reading you kind of lose your temper with this family.

The king is an ass and so are the rules. I think that had these two met without being forced then they might have found their ending a bit sooner. I didn’t have as much fun reading this book as I should have though and I was a bit disappointed in it. And that is only because of the dark tone to it, other than that it is well written with just a few issues with it.

Other than my issues with this book, it is a very good story that I would recommend.
