Blurb: Sometimes facing the past is the only way to move forward.

Max and his twin, Jessie, moved to Gillham six months ago after the enforcers rescued them from their abusive alpha. Max might not be in peak form yet, but he’s had enough of sitting on his ass all day. When he asks Kameron for a job, he doesn’t expect he’ll be teamed up with his mate.

Dane is still recovering from the years he spent in one of the Glass Research Company’s labs and on the run, but he wants to be useful. When Kameron assigns him to answer the new council hotline, he meets his new colleague, Max. Max isn’t only a coworker, though—he’s also Dane’s mate.

Max and Dane want to move forward, together, but to do that, they have to let go of the past. Max will have to face the council and explain what his alpha did to him, while Dane has to face his past and the betrayal of someone who should have protected him. Getting over a painful past isn’t easy though. Will they be able to keep their relationship steady as they face the memories?

Review: Each book in the Council Enforcers collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in
sequential order.

Max and his twin Jessie were rescued from their alpha and were trying to start over in Gillham. Max however wanted to help those who rescued them, he just wasn’t to sure how to go by getting one. Then Kameron gives him a job of answering phones for paranormal’s who need help or just to listen. He had not expected to not only meet his mate, but to be partnered with him.

Dane spent years stuck in a lab and then escaping. Him and his friends had not known the ones who were doing the rescuing were good, so they ran. Now him and his friends were rescued once more by the same group and brought to Gillham. There are many things that need to be fixed and one of them is those who sold Dane.

There is nothing better then a good paranormal romance with two gorgeous men involved. They are entertaining and have just the right mix of feelings in them. There is also quite a bit of danger or excitement in it as well. This one caught my attention and kept it all the way to the very end. I love the mixture of characters that this story and the other ones have in it. Will always keep you entertained.

I love the way this author puts together a story that not only draws you in but keeps you entertained as well. They have a serious tone to them, but there is a bit of humor floating around. I do get a kick out of the whole thing.

I can’t wait to read the next book.
