Blurb: Darius doesn’t know his last name, only that he is an adopted son of a king, and that should be lucky, it should be… Brought to take care of his two older brothers also collected by the king, they fight for normalcy under a cruel father. On a trip back from a campaign, Darius hears a far off sound that will throw him into a world he didn’t know existed. Become aware of a man whom he will forever create the love of the ages with, and obtain a title that will lead him beyond his wildest imagination.

The journey has to start somewhere, and Darius’s has just begun. I have several books ready to enrich the world he lives in. There will be new characters, new adventures, and love. See if good can overcome evil and become part of his world. This isn’t a onetime book where you get a taste of another’s life and are left wanting more. You will find clues, nuances, and subtle ties to future events. You will become part of his world, written in first person with about seventy percent dialog, it is written to include the reader and make you part of his life.

Content Warning: This story includes talk of dubious consent, violence, and scenes of an explicit, adult nature between consenting adults and is intended only for an 18+ audience.

Review: Interesting story about a young man who is supposedly a brother to two others whose father is cruel to only him. As the story progresses we learn that things are not as they seem and that Darius is being abused horribly by King Calamen. Darius’ two brothers have no clue as to what’s going on which I find highly doubtful as there’s no way you can hide being whipped on your back until bloody and no one sees it.

The story is not a smooth read. It confusing and jumps from one topic to the next with no warning or explanations. Although I really liked the overall story, it needs work. There are several things that happen throughout but some are not explained well. For instance I don’t understand who exactly the King is and what did he want with Darius besides being the one to be punished instead of his other sons.

I think Darius is a paranormal being who was taken when he was a child. He has powers that he shouldn’t have if he was human.

Hopefully the answers too many unanswered questions will be revealed in the rest of the series.
