Blurb: Here are two stories of summertime romance, Sparks Fly, and Hurricane Season, both of which take place in sunny Florida.

In Sparks Fly, when Riley and Rocket butt heads, the fireworks aren’t confined to the nighttime sky.

During Hurricane Season, Aiden and David meet as strangers searching for safety as the wind howls and the rain and waves pound the shore, but in addition to a warm, dry bed, find something neither one thought they were looking for.

Both stories were originally published individually by Torquere Press.

Review: Since these are two separate stories I have going to rate them as such.

Sparks Fly ♥♥♥ 3 Hearts:
This was a cute little tale. I am a sucker for friends to lovers’ stories. Considering it was only about 25 pages it did well giving a background story and tying in the current happenings. But it was not really long enough to give a good flushing out of the characters and their personalities.

Everything happened a bit too fast for me to truly get into the story. I was left with a general feeling of satisfaction. I think if it was longer it would have rated higher and given me more time to appreciate the characters and their relationship.

Hurricane Season ♥♥♥ 3 Hearts:
This was also a cute little story. It also seemed to be a little more flushed out, out least in the case of Aiden. David was more of a mystery as not much is explained about him,

Two men thrown together by a hurricane and finding something special, I can buy that. But as it was so short the ending left me needing to look past the impossibility of there being a happily ever after right away. These men did not know each other until a chance encounter on the beach right before the storm hit. So the whole idea felt a little off to me.

Overall both stories are well written and fast paced. But I feel if they were longer they would have been much more enjoyable reads.
