Blurb: Before jumping into his first semester of college, Thomas Maloney decides to lose his virginity at a party to a stranger he’s sure he’ll never see again. Only the next day, he’s surprised to learn the same one-night stand will be sharing his dorm room. Thomas considers himself lucky, but his new roommate—not so much.

Closeted as they come, football jock Remington “Rem” Daniels is on track for a shot at the pros. Rem tries to play it cool and avoid falling for the confidently gay Thomas, which could hurt his chances. Dealing with their constant need to get in bed together wouldn’t be so hard if Rem didn’t have a girlfriend and Thomas didn’t have a conscience.

When she delivers news that will change Rem’s life forever, Thomas knows it’s time to move back home to Thornwood, Colorado. But neither the distance nor knowing Rem belongs to someone else helps Thomas get over him. Rem’s feelings haven’t changed either. When it comes down to love or football, Rem will have to make the hardest choice of his life and hope Thomas will still be waiting for him when he does.

Review: I came across Caitlin when she put out her first story and was fascinated by the worlds she created. At the time I had decided to keep an eye out for her stories so that I could grab them up. This story was fascinating to read and I absolutely loved the characters, however it had the one thing in it that, for me brings the ratings and the story down. I do not like cheating of any kind and can’t stand to read it. However that is my fault for not looking at the blurb for the book. Other than that issue, which is my issue the story was damn good

Tom had listened to his friends about losing his virginity. They had suggested going to a party and hooking up. The problem with this was that it turned out that the one he gave it to just happens to be his roommate. His very sexy roommate who just happened to have a girlfriend.

Rem is an ass and I am afraid my opinion of him will stay the same. He not only had Tom, but a girlfriend on the side. One he intended not to tell. Hell, he didn’t even love the girl. But, everything changes for them all when she gets pregnant. Hello?  Where were the condoms? I mean use a brain.

This story takes place over a few years and it will tear your heart up with all that is going on. I mean, I hate to say it, but Rem is a loser and I absolutely wanted to just drop kick him off the cliff. However there is also a side to him that is endearing, also. I was glad for the happy ending, but it didn’t really end the way I wished it had. It just seemed to be missing something to me.

Overall the story was a fascinating read.

Blurb: Wanting to start over after breaking off a relationship with his married boss, Caleb Robinson is happy to move from Los Angeles to Thornwood, Colorado. He can barely find the town on a map, which is just the kind of place Caleb needs. He’s not looking for a relationship, and Thornwood looks to be the perfect place to get lost in his art.

But when Thornwood’s local police officer, Trent Williams, knocks on Caleb’s front door, both men have an instant attraction to each other, and Caleb’s plans for solitude might have to change.

But he soon learns that Trent is a legendary one-night-stand man for a very special reason. His boyfriend has been kept on life support for the past five years after a serious skiing accident. Even though Simon isn’t expected to wake up and Trent says he’s trying to get past him, he won’t entertain anything that comes close to commitment. As compelling as their attraction is, Caleb doesn’t want to be just another hook-up, and he won’t be the other man.

But Trent isn’t sure he can risk the pain of losing someone else he cares about, no matter how intense the chemistry between him and Caleb.

Review: I have read many books by this amazing author and this book definitely didn’t disappoint. The way it was told drove me a bit nuts. Going from Caleb’s perspective to Trent’s, but it didn’t take away from the story at all. When you read a book you can usually tell if the author is just doing it for the money or is really into it.

When they right with their feelings put in, makes the book even better in my opinion. This is one of those books. There is so much seriousness to it but you can see the hint of humor also. To me that makes it so much better.

There was something about this book that caught my attention and kept it. I adored the guys even though I would have really wanted to smack them both. I understood why Trent acted the way he did but he comes off as very careless considering he was cop. It made them more loveable and very endearing.

Caleb had been sleeping with his boss. That is until his boss’s wife ran him over. Now he moved to Colorado to start over. He had not expected the cop that knocked on his door though. He wanted Trent but didn’t want to give it a chance. He was saddened by his experience and angered by his past choice. Then he finds out Trent’s secret. He has to decide if it is worth it.

Trent had been in love with Simon, but Simon was in a coma after an accident. He didn’t want to let go, but he also didn’t want to try again. He knew Simon would have wanted him to. He tried to escape the pain by all the warm bodies, but Caleb is the one that pulled at his heart. He needed to change and to have the courage to start again.

I had a blast with this story and look forward to reading the next one. I would definitely recommend reading it. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end.
