Review: I will start off by saying I do not remember the first two books in this series so at first I was lost when I began reading. This is not the first time this has happened to me when reading a series.

The story begins with Adrien in a time stream with Nico and given a choice. Now I knew he would choose not to stay there so I did not get why he waited. Nico going with him surprised me though.

The only question I kept asking myself until near the end was why Adrien did not go back to before Nicholas was taken to begin with. That was where I would have began myself in his shoes. But then again he would not have succeeded as he was not as strong then with his powers.

Great ending with intense battles. The different timestreams added the extra bonus of seeing what could happen if things were left as they were. I really enjoyed this story and will some time in the future re-read to get the full story.

Great read.

Review: The book starts off great as we see Zoran leave his lover Bela for an adventure. Bela moves on and tries to take over Mack’s property. But after this is where I found myself wondering what was happening at times.

The writing was good but some scenes seemed too rushed while others seemed to linger. I never did quite figure out the love triangle in the story. It was just a little messy and confusing.

All in all it was an o.k. with adventure, love, gore, fighting and action.

Review: This is the second book in Blood series while I enjoyed reading the first book, the second was difficult to follow at times. I felt there was too much time travel going on. It confused me at times.

There is a lot going on in this book with Adrien traveling back in time to meet Nicholas at different stages in his life. As well as Adrien trying to come to grips with his inner demon. As with the first book this ends with a feeling there will be another in the series.

Despite the problems I had with reading this book I still felt that it was entertaining. If you liked the first book I’m sure you will like this one as well. I am looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book and what changes might be made to further the readers enjoyment of this series.

Good read.

Blurb: Adrien Gilbert has spent several lifetimes searching for the love he lost. Born in the 1800s into a clan of fabled vampire hunters, Adrien once wanted nothing more than to tend his family’s vineyard in southern France or read a good book. But Adrien’s peaceful existence ends abruptly when his older brother, François, is murdered. Bound by his hunter’s oath, Adrien sets out on a path that will forever change his life when he agrees to execute his brother’s killer, the vampire Charles Duvalier.

After months chasing the elusive Charles, Adrien reluctantly makes a bargain with Nicolas Lambert, an ancient vampire. Adrien will escort Nicolas to Paris for his marriage to a rival clanswoman, and Nicolas will help Adrien find Charles. Nicolas’s quiet strength and gentle heart soon convince Adrien that Nicolas is nothing like the vampires he has sworn to destroy. As the wedding date draws nearer, a force intent on destroying the fragile peace between the vampire clans threatens to tear apart both the vampire realm and the world of the hunters.

To secure both past and future for those he loves, Adrien must find a way to stop the looming war between hunters and vampires. But first, he’ll have to let Nicolas go.

Review: After his brother Francois death, Adrian, a hunter, was tasked by the council to find and eliminate the vampire Charles for his crimes. But he finds that things are not as they seem. The vampire is very elusive as are the people who he talks to for information on the vampires whereabouts.

Loved the descriptions of the different places Adrian travels as well as the interesting people he talks to. Mysteries and adventure await Adrian on his quest to full fill what the council orders him to do along the way he meets Nicolas, a vampire, who he starts to have feelings for, but is promised to another.
Interesting story that is well written and captivating. It was fascinating reading about the differences between a hunter and vampire, especially when a hunter is turned.

So much happens in this fantastic story. The intimate scenes were hot. Highly recommended.
