Review: It’s Christmas for an American in London and then Paris! George is the type of person who has little anxieties of many different situations – in this story its flying, germs and crowds. However, George’s experiences ring to true when it comes to travelling in an unfamiliar place. I suppose there’s also the grumpiness that Christmas tends to bring out in people. But George is on a mission – he’s visiting his partner, Scott, who is currently working in Paris. Scott is a sweetie, even if we only meet him over the phone at first, his appearance made me feel relieved.

This is a really, cute story. It may be a quick read but it’s hard not to relate to George’s emotions through his trip. Simple and enjoyable.

Review: Trent has given up most of his adult life to take care of his grandmother who has Alzheimer. He hasn’t been able to make relationships work since taking care of her is time-consuming. She left him her home in England and a request for him to take her ashes back there. He loves the home but it brings back memories of a childhood love.

This is a beautiful, emotional story. I liked that even young, Trent took the responsibility and tackled it head on. I loved the unfolding story of his grandmother through letters and the connection with his childhood first love. I will say it’s written in first person on Trent’s view then once in England Callum’s view is added in third person. I liked having Callum’s view but the switch from first to third was a bit confusing at times. Having said that I loved the story.

If you like sweet romance, emotional stories and some sensual man-love this is for you!

Blurb: Adrian Delgado’s time in the Peace Corps has been rewarding, but with Christmas around the corner, he is starting to get homesick. Life in Mongolia is very different from Texas, from the holiday celebrations to… dating. Take his coworker Batbayar, for instance—they’ve slept together several times and spend most time outside of work in each other’s houses.

But are they “together,” or friends with benefits? Maybe a Mongolian Christmas and a sheep’s head in the bathtub can lead to the answer.

Review: Adrian works in Mongolia as a teacher, away from his family in Texas. This story has a very sweet opening as we are introduced to him. It’s easy to feel his loneliness because he really cannot celebrate Christmas the traditional way, especially with his family so far away. But the light in Adrian’s story seems to be Batbayar (or Bataa).

This is a beautiful story. I think everyone should have friends like Adrian has, and Bataa is just icing on the cake. If anything I would love to have a full length story of Adrian and Bataa’s story.

Review: Sean and Anton have been together a little over a year but this is their first Christmas meeting Sean’s Father. Anton is worried that his father won’t accept him since his is a Zodiac even if he is outcast. Sean thinks his family will accept Anton though Sean’s family has some secrets.

This story had so much potential but I think there was just too much going on for such a short story. I had so many questions once I was done, such as what kind of shifter is Anton. Why was he being hunted by the Zodiac if he was thrown out? What exactly were the Zodiacs and what kind of shifters? Why was Anton sent to capture Sean in the first place?

Now having said that and rating on just a romance and holiday story this was good. I loved how much Sean and Anton were in love and would do anything for each other. I am a sucker for sweet committed love and these two were amazing. I did love the twist near the end when Sean’s secret was revealed. This would be an excellent full-length novel or series.

If you like paranormal romance, urban fantasy, shifters, sweet committed romance, and some sensual man-sex this is for you.

Review: Bruce is going to spend Christmas in Barcelona with his family. On the flight, he meets Lance, on his way to spend the holidays in Paris with his families. The get to know each other very well on the flight. Very, very well. Will this be just a trip to the mile high club or the beginning of something special?

This is a very fun, sexy romp. There are lots of humor and plenty of hot man-sex and innuendos. I normally don’t like all the porn-speak dialogue but I love Rob Rosen and his humorous sexy stories. This is a fun story to make you smile and has a very sweet ending for us hopeless romantics.

If you like a little lots of pornish innuendo, mile-high club, stories of fate, love or lust at first site and some hot man-sex this is for you!

Brian is immediately attracted to Zoli, but Zoli acted strange when they first met.

I absolutely loved this story. I loved both Brian and Zoli, especially Zoli. I love how fun he was yet also laid back. I loved the descriptions of Hungary and the history of the Krampusz.

I will say when it ended I was like “No! Not yet I want more!!”

Review: Gareth has a trip planned for him and his lover to show Warun some of his culture. They are going on trip to celebrate Yule or Alban Arthan.

This is a very lovely story of two men very much in love and learning each other’s very different customs and cultures. I loved both of these men and the descriptions and explanations were beautiful. However, for me this really needed to be a longer book. To me this felt like a chapter of a book and not a full story. I would like to see more of these men in the future.

If you like, other cultures, beautiful descriptions, and sweet committed love this is for you!

Review: I really didn’t know what I was expecting with this one and I was too lazy to look up what “chirappu” is. This is a contemporary tale about Nik (really Nikhelish) and Trent, travelling to India where Trent is to meet Nik’s family. The inclusion of a glossary at the end of the story on some of the Indian terms is great.

This story is packed with description of Trent and Nik’s surrounds in India, along with all the Indian food (makes me want to eat Indian food or perhaps even watch a Bollywood movie!). The story itself is a fascinating look at the overwhelming idea of meeting an entire family at one celebration.

I’m not sure how liberal India is in terms of homosexuality but from the start I did wonder how Nik’s family would act, besides his awesome favourite aunty (I’m sure we all got one of those) and one of Nik’s sisters. But there is a nice explanation as to some of Nik’s history with his family, given to Trent by the favourite Aunty. Nik also has a Christian friend (and other neighbours), so there is a jumble of traditions include in this fabulous story.

Trent and Nik are a wonderful couple and play well off each other. The story is very sweet and full of various traditions; it’s nice to see them try to integrate their lives and families. Generally, this is a feel good holiday tale, just perfect for some light Christmas reading.

Review: This is one of the sweetest Christmas stories I have come across. It was a very tender story that just calls to you. I wish it had more to it though.

Ilya, the youngest, was fair of hair and gray of eye, with an easy laugh and a generous heart. Generous with everything, that is, except his greatest secret among his family. He had thought he had hidden it well. His family was full of hate, anger, and bigotry. A beautiful Lion saves him, changes him, and mates him. Volyk knew what would happen if Ilya denied him, but he would do anything to save this gorgeous man.

It was a cute story but was missing so much for me to truly get into it. I need more about their lives and what it meant for Ilya. I did enjoy it and it does show what Christmas should be like. I loved the way it was told. The pain Ilya felt and then the happiness made the story beautiful and full of love. I loved it but I needed more. I would recommend reading this story. It will give you a cute story to read during the holidays. This story has a great twist to it that will keep you on your toes.

Review: Neno lives in his hometown of Zagreb and works at the library. The town is planning for St Martin’s day. He is surprised when a vice form the past pulls him from his work.

Toby his college roommate from California has come back to see why Neno fled without keeping in touch and perhaps get closure.

This is a lovely story of two young men that loved each other but went their separate ways. I loved both men, Toby for his desire to find out why Neno never kept in touch and see if it was possible to pick up where they left off and Neno for his family responsibilities.

I like learning about other people’s customs and cultures and this story was very good describing the celebration of St. Martin’s day and the customs and cultures of Neno’s town.

If you like different cultures and customs, lands abroad, wine and sweet romance this is for you!
