Review: This is the third book in the Leader Murders series.

Bert, Weiss’ Beta is tasked to be the fey ambassador and find out about the MH project to determine exactly what it is and who all is involved. Bert seemed to have trouble getting close to people considering what his sister did. He assumed everyone else thought he was a traitor as well.

There he meets sexy Sir William Matthew Sims, Court Interrogator and a very powerful man. I was not sure about Will at first as he seemed to have no emotions and ulterior motives for his actions. But as the story progressed I glimpsed small looks into his personality which was out of character for his heritage. He cared deeply for his children unlike many of the fey and wanted them safe at all costs.

The way the fey went about choosing the next king was horrifying. I could not believe what transpired. It took my breath away that a paranormal group that deemed themselves superior to others would be so barbaric to own kids.

I really enjoyed the fact that despite Bert keeping Will at arm’s length emotionally will did not give up. The whole mystery aspect of the story and the subsequent details and thought process that went into it was amazing. This story had me riveted in my seat until the very end.

Well written with the right amount of romance, suspense, action and action that keeps the reader intrigued. A lot of twists and turns as well as intense scenes that leave you holding your breath.

Great read.

THIRDSBanner450Review: I came across Charlie in the middle of this series, and in fact it was on audible when I got my first taste to these amazing characters. I was enchanted from the very start and have always wondered many times what happens to the characters that you don’t hear about. So when I found out that this author was in fact giving us that taste, I had to jump at it.

In this particular book you are going to find out what happens between them on the flip side. You will hear about Dex and the cat nip, Hobb’s reaction to Calvin getting hot and heavy with another, but you will also hear about when Cale was brought home for the first time to meet his new big brother, Dex and his parents and so forth. It even gives you a glimpse into the next story.

I was amazed that this author actually gave us this inside story, and it has made me a true fan. I have always loved romance stories and it has only been the past three years that I got interested in gay romance. I fear that there is always that chance, like in the past where I lose interest in books of one type.

However I can guarantee that this will be one author that I think I could continue to follow through the times. I always loved that even if there is a serious tone, Charlie gives you quite a bit of humor in them.

I had a lot of fun with this book and look forward to the next Thirds story.

Review: To enjoy the overall effects of this series I would suggest starting with the first book, because let me tell you they rock. This series just keeps getting better and better even after listening to them over and over. Which is exactly what I did with this story. There is so much action, suspense, a bit of a mystery, hot sex, twists and turns in this that my attention was captured from the moment it started.

Charlie gives you an entertaining story with hot men and two very feisty girls, then adds in danger and excitement. Not to mention the humor from Dex, which always rocks. I couldn’t wait to hear about Ash and Cael from the moment I opened the first book. You could see right from the start that there was something there, just the right amount of heat. However the fear was still there. I loved getting to know Cael just a bit more also. He is my favorite of them all with his cute cheetah fir.

Ash and Cael had been friends from the start, when Cael flustered and the coffee went all over. Ash just couldn’t say a bad thing to him. He was attracted from the moment he saw him, but his past keeps getting in the way. He had been with a boy when his twin was killed. He felt guilty and punished himself many times over. From then on it was just screwing women, that is until Cael. He wanted so much more.

Cael had been adopted by Tony but not all of his life was good. He tended to pick asshats for boyfriends, with one of them on the top of the worst list. When he shows up, it is intent of pain that pushes Ash closer. Now the whole team knows about them, Cael fears that Ash would never really move forward.

What really surprised me about this story was Tony’s reaction and attitude, it was a blast. Then there are the twists and turns in this story that had me sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to find out who was the bad guy. Now I must admit though that I do wish there was more action involving their Therian side.

The first few books had it, but this one not really as much which I missed. I loved how Dex gives Ash hell and tells him to treat his brother right or it was going to be Alaska. Dex is always fun to have around.

Mark did a wonderful job with the story but for some reason it didn’t come off as good as the first four books, but still didn’t divert from the story itself. He brought the characters alive and made them sound just as I imagined them to be. However with all of the men’s voices in this audible you could tell that Mark was trying to make them different but didn’t really catch it.

I loved the ending and the shock that they had. It had me laughing my ass off at it. I loved that Ash worked through his problems and he got a surprise of his own that had me smiling. I can see myself listening to this more than a dozen times, and I say that because I have already listened to it four of those dozen times. I had so much fun listening to this and can’t wait for book six. Charlie rocks the THIRDS world.

I would definitely recommend it.

Review: This is part of a series but can be read as a standalone.

I have always loved romance stories especially when they are male on male romance. Now when you put it all into a good paranormal I am usually the first one in line for it. Now I must admit that this story does come off a little dark to me. However it didn’t take away from the story though.

Tim just pulls at your heartstrings. He is running away from his old werewolf blood family. However he is a bit lost. He thinks Alphas are cruel, dominating and just too much for someone like himself. He had listened to his uncle just a little too much. Then he meets a sexy Alpha. Nathaniel just draws him in. He makes him feel things he didn’t feel before. Now it is up to Nathaniel to show him the true meaning of mates.

I would definitely recommend this amazing story. It has a lot to offer you in many ways that some paranormal stories just don’t have. I have not been one to be captivated by a story’s darkness. However this one is a pretty damn good story. Now to get to the down and dirty. I was not pleased that it took Nathaniel too long to admit that they were mates. It does drag just a bit though.

I had a blast reading this and look forward to reading the next story. To me it had way too much description in it then was needed, but it didn’t take away from the story. It had enhanced it. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. I also had such a blast with the title. It gave me almost everything I could want in a story.

I look forward to reading the next book in this series and others by R. Cooper.

It is those dark aspects that I loved about this title.  The romance is strong, but the suspense is its equal…

Prince Sky Song of the Clouds isn’t thrilled with the prospect of marriage either, but is bound by duty to follow through. Review: Betrothed: A Faery Tale is exactly what the title says and it was also a totally enjoyable book. Being that it was also the first book I’ve read by Therese Woodson, I don’t think I’d be opposed to reading more of her works. I loved the emotions of the MCs (very relatable) and in general I just loved the sweet romance that was told.

The story is about Prince Chrysanths, aka “Puck” (yes, like Shakespeare) of the Asteraceae and heir apparent to the Earthern/Wood faery throne. He also happens to be half human. And any keen biologist may also realise, there’s lots of flower scientific classification involved too (Asteraceae is the class which includes flowers like Chrysanthemums).

Seriously, it gave this biologist here a thrill. He is sweet but he also has the tendency to be a bit spoilt, he is a child of two worlds (he visits his dad on the earth plane) but he hasn’t quite found his place in life yet.

Enter Prince Sky Song of the Clouds – and you guessed it, he’s of the type of faery associated with the element air. He’s a strong, silent and stoic sort of guy and knows that he must do his duty – to his family and his people.

There’s plenty of back story in the book itself which should satisfy any reader, but suffice to say that these two princes as part of a treaty must marry (hence the title). What starts as a selfish turn by Puck ends up to be an adventure that both princes needed and (most importantly) use the time to get to know each other before they tie the knot.

I really loved this book. It’s more than just a fantasy involving faeries. It’s also about fitting in and essentially gaining the maturity to grow up. The guys are easy to relate to, I especially like Sky’s character and their emotions are strong. The chemistry between the couple is also smoking, with the sexual tension maintained throughout the story.

This is the type of feel good novel that any reader of the paranormal/fantasy genre is sure to enjoy.

Review: This is a story of heartbreak and loss yet over time learning to live again with someone else and the coming to terms with the past and betrayal. I loved both Alexx and Raoul, wolf shifter. Raoul’s pain was so intense I could actually feel the loneliness and sadness with each word and detail. My heart broke for him at what he had gone through. I was hoping throughout the story he would be able to move forward eventually and find happiness again because that amount of pain is not good for anyone.

Alexx intrigued me as well as had me laughing when he went to Charisma, a nightclub owned by Raoul, with an older friend and a fake ID. I was sure he would not have been allowed to enter. He seemed sure of himself yet a little wary of things which were to be expected after what happened between Raoul and Alexx.

Alexx wants to be an investigative journalist but works in the mail room. The whispering on the wind not to mention the atmosphere of the book at times left a spooky impression which had me on the edge of my seat as the story progressed.

I was horrified to learn of what happened to Raoul’s previous lover Jamie and the reason why someone setup Raoul to be blamed for it. Such a senseless reason for killing someone if you ask me, but that is sometimes the way the story goes.

I really felt, all throughout the story, that I was witnessing things as they happened as there were fantastic details all throughout. Not to mention the emotional aspect had me going through all the emotions.

I would highly recommend this fantastic story to anyone. I absolutely loved it and am looking forward and very excited to read the next book in the series.
