Officer Lyn Philips was too young for me, too inexperienced, and too naive for the things I wanted to do to him. Staying away from him was imperative, but it might take more control than I possessed. When Lyn is threatened, all bets are off.

Lyn

The man I wanted to create a life with didn’t want that life, or me. After waiting an eternity for Sgt. Victor Clarke to make up his mind whether he wanted me or not, I decided to create the life I wanted, even if the man I was in love with wasn’t going to be in it.

When the carefully constructed life I had created was threatened, I had no choice but to call in the SWAT team, even if it meant letting Clarke back into my world. I just hoped I could let him go when the time came, because I knew it would. Clarke had made it more than clear that he didn’t want me and nothing would change that, not even a threat on my life.

Review: This story is branched off of the original Hot Mess so I would start reading those books first.

It is about time is all I have got to say about these two. Each time they look at each other it was like fire burning you to a crisp. Lyn has wanted and loved Clarke for over ten years but the man never made a move. In fact he said the opposite but now Lyn was done. He wanted to start over. To bad starting over has sent danger his way.

Clarke loved Lyn just as much as Lyn loved him, but his fear out weighed the rest. To him Lyn was close to perfect. Where as Clarke was hard as nails. He didn’t want to ever hurt the man but his way wasn’t working. Then when Lyn gets himself into danger, well lets say that his brains have caught up with his heart.

I think that this story and the series that it is connected to are probably my favorites from this author. It is well told and the characters are just about as sexy as one gets. Danger filled, sexy times, quirky attitudes and you get to see Lany in parts of it are just a few things in this story. It caught my attention from the start and kept it all the way to the end.

I can guarantee that this story will be read many times over. I just love the guys and the troubles they get into. I would definitely recommend this story and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next story.

Review: Sonny is a sweet omega witch who has a major crush on the next door neighbor. But it would seem Leo likes him just as much. Leo is a bear shifter who has found his mate. However they have been basically avoiding each other for some reason, yet it only takes a few friends meddling in to have them humping like bunnies.

It is a cute little story that I had not realized was that short. It was pretty entertaining and I actually thought it was a blast. The characters were a blast to read about and I liked their friends even more.

I can honestly say that this is one of those cute stories that will be read many times over.

Blurb: It’s not stealing if you’re stealing it back….

Ari had a game plan for life. Shoot people. Get money. Hang out with fellow criminal friends. He saw absolutely no reason to change that plan until one dark night in Memphis, when a little girl reached out to him with pocket change and a desperate plea for him to help her.

Adopting an abused little girl off the streets was, needless to say, not part of the plan. Ari had no idea what he was doing with an eight year old. He especially didn’t know how to juggle taking contracts and raising a little girl.

Things get more complicated when the mercenary, Carter Harrison, approaches him with a job. He needs Ari’s expertise to get into the very high-security museum, Knowles, and steal back Monet’s Water Lily Pond. The job isn’t an easy one. He’d need more than the two of them to make it happen. It’s further complicated because Ari’s not sure what to do with his new daughter while working this job.

And for that matter, how’s he supposed to handle the sexy mercenary?

Review: Ari and his twin, Luca, were orphaned and sent into the foster care system. One came out a lawyer and well Ari is the assassin. He was damn good at his job and with the help of his two friends, he was even better. There was one basic rule that he followed and it was no harm came to kids. So when a little girl came to him for help, lets just say he now has a daughter. One that might just beat them all.

Carter is in some need. He is hired to steal back a painting from one of the high security museums. He is hired by an unknown to get a stolen painting from a private museum and return it to another. He could go in and get a kid back but this one was a little harder to work. He liked working with a team and it looked like he might have found a good one.

No one would take a job by an unknown even for a big payday. That would say that he is not as sure of his job or his life if he did. Also who goes to check up on an assassin where their kid is without getting the heads blown off.

Remi is unlike any kid I know and comes off not so positive in this story. While the idea of an assassin adopting some random kid just because he felt bad for her is a bit strange, it was still a good add into the story. However the fact that she doesn’t act like she really should is the problem. Just because someone helps you doesn’t mean you automatically trust them. Also the characters don’t act like assassins, mercs, thieves and hackers. Once in an assignment you don’t change it, yet they rushed a job that was supposedly not able to do. It just came off wrong. You get the mention of Luca, the meeting between them all set up but then it stops. You don’t get to see it through.

Then there is the security they are going through, and lets face it, it just doesn’t pan out. Now on the flip side of the coin, the story is still pretty entertaining. I might have griped about the characters but lets face it they still were a big hit with me. I like the way they interacted with each other. It is a slow burning romance and for once it worked out all right with this story. I am not a fan of the dual voices in the story, but I think the part that drove me nuts is the author put their name ahead to know who was talking, but lets face it it was easy to figure it out right off the bat.

Over all I really liked the story and can’t wait to see what the next book has going on.

Blurb: Guilt-ridden after the massacre of his family, Isaac Salvatore turned to binge drinking to escape the pain. Now twenty-four years old, Isaac is a recovering alcoholic woefully out of practice in the magical arts, leaving his fire affinity hanging on the edge of disaster. After a month of rehab, he returns to Beacon Hill and his family, determined to remain sober, learn to control his magic, and figure out a plan for his life that doesn’t involve drinking.

Constantine Batiste is the oldest, most powerful vampire in the city. Born in ancient Gaul, the bastard son of a Celtic king, his long life has been shrouded in tragedy and horrors. Recent mistakes have left him wary and determined to guard his clan from all foes. When two of his clan members fall victim to an ancient evil, he summons the Necromancer of Boston for aid. Accompanying his older brother to the Tower is the handsome young fire mage once wounded by Constantine’s arrogance, and their encounter reignites an attraction that burns within both Constantine and Isaac.

The answer to who is targeting the vampires of Boston is buried in the dark, early days of Constantine’s transition to an immortal life. Isaac finds himself saddled with a painful insight into the evil cutting a swath through the supernatural population of Boston. While his brother, Angel, takes over the hunt to find and stop the threat to the city, Isaac struggles to find a balance between helping his brother and finding his own purpose and place in the world, free from his brother’s shadow.

Falling in love wasn’t part of his plan, but mastering the flames that burn between him and Constantine soon becomes the most important thing in his life, even as an ancient evil seeks to destroy them.

Review: Isaac had finally gotten to the bottom and needed help. He was finishing his time in the hospital trying to get over drinking. He had made one big mistake and didn’t tell them just how much he was drinking so it was harder then he had expected. Now home he is bout to see the one man he was in lust of, very powerful vampire.

Constantine missed the man he was falling for. He had screwed up and lost the ability to entice the young fire mage. Isaac’s brother marked him so it would never work again. That didn’t take away from the fact that he was falling in love. To bad for them someone is not only out to get the vampires but also for Isaac and Constantine.

It might have been a damn good story if it didn’t come off the way it does. It felt like the author was rambling and mixing up parts of the story. Also some of the words that were used was just plain nutty. It was long winded when a shorter story would have been better. It was so slow that it took me four days to finish, where it should have been maybe two hours. I liked the guys quite a bit but the story was just off to me. There was action but it was more of a blur then something you would have expected. There was a distinct feeling from Isaac that he wouldn’t be liked by the vampires but you saw just a handful in the story. So there was no reason for the way the character felt. There wasn’t even really any heat from his brother or his brothers mate.

There was some action as I said above but very little. You get a bit more romance but mostly how each other is feeling. The sex scenes were a bit dry and not all what one would expect. There was just something that made the story go in the opposite direction than it should have. The characters while charming were not as full as they should have been. You don’t see much of his brother, don’t get me wrong it is Isaac’s story, but you would expect his brother to be there more. Then they were all worried to death about the evil in the story being so hard to die, then one move does it, came off lame to me.

Overall the story was fine, not the best that I expected but was still a good read in the end. I can’t say that this is one of those stories that will be read more than just once, but I am afraid that it probably will just be put on the shelf. It was just to long winded with to much added in than was needed. I am sorry to say but this story just wasn’t my idea of fun.

Blurb: Cobra has never interacted with the people of Drago since most are there to hide from their nasty past. Coming across his mate having a picnic with his dragon in Drago Park and a freak trying to kill him is more than unexpected as is discovering Cal is not Cal and isn’t even human? Cobra wants answers. He just hopes that he can get them before whoever is out to kill his mate succeeds.

Review: Each book in the D.O.A. collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Cobra is one of the D.O.A. and his best friend is Taco, who is also his dragon. For one day every year for twenty-five years he has received a note leading up to a meeting. The bad side is he has no clue what that person wants. Now is the time to meet, but when he goes there it is to a big surprise.

Taco and Cal have started to become best buds. They hang out and get to know each other. He has an idea that he has found his and Cobra’s mate. But as a dragon he is not for sure. So he decides to help Cal with this meeting.

Calvin is not who he says he is. He has one hell of a big surprise that places him in danger. He has watched Cobra and is falling for the man. He has never actually talked to the man but with the help of Cobra’s dragon he might have a chance.

To bad that danger has came looking for them both. There are many different twists to this story that your attention will always be captivate, as has mine. This is one of my favorite series and I love how the characters are with each other. They are quite quirky and are very protective of their friends and family. The story is intriguing and will keep you entertained.

I had a blast reading this and can’t wait to get my hands on the next one. Now a new member has been born and damn if it is not going to be a big hit as well, I can’t wait. I would definitely recommend this story and the previous ones as well.

Fantastic read.

Blurb: I’ve investigated some pretty strange cases in my life, but I have to say this is a first. A corpse—a murder victim—has gone missing during the middle of an investigation, and no one has any clue where it went. Psy is called in to clear the investigative team, make sure they’re not an accomplice. It’s a four hour drive outside of Nashville, to a place famous for being haunted, so none of us are particularly eager to go.

And then we arrive on scene and I see who we’re dealing with and I want nothing more than to turn around and go right back to Nashville.

This case is complicated and strange, and absolutely nothing is as it seems at first glance. Even with my eyes, it’s going to take some digging to get to the truth.

ISBN: B07VZ8ZKH2

Product Link: Amazon US | Amazon UK

Reviewer: Lisa

Review: Finding out what happened to a corpse shows that the past doesn’t stay where it belongs. Someone from Jon’s past has appeared once more and lets hope it leads to the perfect outcome. Lets not forget Donovan definitely does have a fear of ghosts as in hell no. Garrett is definitely a big hit with everyone and Jon’s love life is on the right track.

I miss going to haunted houses and this one seems to have them in spades or so it seems. We also get to see the best blowup ever, say bye bye to a jackal. Now you just have to figure out who I am talking about because I am definitely not going to say. I could go without drama but it seems to have the perfect place in this story.

Our characters are quirky and lovable to be around. I do want to see Sho and Garrett’s relationship, they are going to burn the sheets. I am not really seeing a lot of the magic side of the coin but there is still some there. They actually got to use some good old fashion police work in this one. An old case is solved and they are on the way to having life perfect. And I don’t remember Jon getting shot or stabbed in this one so that is a big win. As much as I love these stories I will admit that there is so much potential that is not being used in these stories. There is so much that could be done with them but so far it is not there.

I enjoyed reading this and can’t wait to see what the next book has going on. My attention was captivated throughout the story and would definitely admit that these are stories that will be read many times over.

Blurb: When Sy learned that Connor, the young familiar who’d been staying with him, had been captured, he knew immediately that he could find him. After all, what use was it, him being a Necromancer, if he couldn’t locate lost souls. The fact he was hosting Dakar’s parents at the time, shouldn’t have made it an issue. After all, they were pack orientated and understood the need to bring a family member home. Didn’t they?

Dakar had been a loving son for fifty years, so when his mom pitched a fit at him, for being part of the efforts to bring Connor home, he was a wee bit annoyed. Unfortunately, he had bigger things to worry about. A demon had set his sights on his mate, and while that wasn’t as unusual as you might think, this particular demon came with complications.

Everything is coming to a head for this unusual family. A wicked sprite, an off-course priest, and a demoness who isn’t all she appears to be are just some of the hurdles Sy and Dakar will have to cross before they finally get their HEA. And what was a dragon doing in the middle of a field?

Review: This trilogy covers the same romantic couples as well as a couple others. To follow the amazing story I would suggest starting with book one. However there is some history of child abuse that shows up in the story so if by chance it is an issue with you, well you might not want to read it.

Luther’s, yes the devil, son is up to no good. He wants Sy to help him raise a army of the undead. To bad that isn’t going to happen but his attempts to get the guys to try is quite interesting. Dakar’s parents are showing their ugly side and need to get their asses kicked. Connor is a cutie that might get a surprise in the end. Clive and Steve are going strong and damn if they are not cute. Wait to see who is the new police captain, lets just say damn he is hot.

This story has the magic flowing, ghouls showing up, demons loosing their minds, and stuck up magical users. There is danger, excitement, twists, and the guys have it handled. It is a fast paced story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It is a story that has been well developed and told with the perfect flow of feelings. I liked how the guys are getting together and love is flowing.

I had a lot of fun reading this and can’t wait to check out the rest of this author’s work. I would definitely recommend this story.

Blurb: I’m rather used to the crazy cases, because let’s face it, most cops can handle the run-of-the-mill with their eyes closed. I’m only called in when the situation is weird or they need to solve the case fast.

This case is a little of both.

Someone’s attacking women as they get off of work, hitting them in the back of the head. What started as a case of battery has steadily built up to homicide. With three murders, six victims, and no leads, the Clarksville PD are desperate to catch the assailant. But there’s no real leads for us to follow, either, and for once my eyes can’t really help.

A madman running around attacking women is bad enough, but the police are demanding answers we can’t give them, and they’re not taking no for an answer. It’s pushing us all past our limits, and frankly, I don’t know what’s going to break first: The case or Donovan’s patience.

ISBN: B07STG9BBM

Product Link: Amazon US | Amazon UK

Reviewer: Lisa

Review: Jon is once more involved in a case that is bizarre and deadly. A man is bashing women in the head then taking off. However it is a case that has some surprising twists to it. With multiple victims leading to the death of three it is going to take them into some crazy areas.

Donovan does everything in his power to keep Jon out of danger, but lets face it Jon usually doesn’t have to go far to find himself in that position. He is one of the most powerful magic any one has ever seen and he needs an anchor to make sure he doesn’t get lost.

A police department that definitely has no love for the paranormal and our sexy guys need all the protection or should I say the police officers are the ones that are going to need protection. Donovan definitely doesn’t let anyone talk smack about our cutie pie.

While I loved the book there were some small issues with it. It just seemed to go over certain spots multiple times which was not needed. And the ending was dull and didn’t seem to spark that much attention. Other than that it was a good read that kept my attention throughout. So much so that I had started on the next book.

This is a series that I can see myself reading over and over. I enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it.

Review: Calhoun was working for the Ultionem but needed a very long break from it all. He could still remember the bodies in their cages. He needed a change of pace from it all. Seeing his brother had him finding his mate. A mate that was human and had no clue of what was creeping in the dark.

Roy had went out and got stinking drunk then woke up to the sexy bartender. To bad he was still a virgin, it could have been nice. What was not nice was the creeps coming out. To learn he was a mate was shocking but not as shocking as what danger was coming.

Slow and easy read with characters that were quirky as hell. Their world sounds pretty cool if not dangerous. However the fact that even though it does give you the happy ending, it just cuts out. It was to short for my liking and there was so much more that could have been added to make this story stand out. It felt very rushed and made me feel like I was missing so much.

Over all I have always loved reading stories by this author, but the way the stories are being told leave a lot to be desired. There is so much potential in it but the story fell short. Other than that I still enjoyed reading it.

Review: Each book in the Maple Grove collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. This series is branched off from many other series and I would suggest starting with book one in the Brac Pack collection.

Jet is fae but not just any kind of fae, but Unseelie. They are the darkest and most evil of the fae, however Jet is not like the rest of his family. There were many rules and one of them is they can never leave the realm. However he always goes to see his cousin who was in hiding once a month. So lets face it it was not his fault that he was caught and abducted.

Raven has found his mate. He had not expected the young man to show up to be his mate but then again he hadn’t known that he was not human either. When the young man fainted he took him to the one place where a human should go when injured but of course he runs with him as soon as he saw his cute ears.

He just has a few problems going on. Someone wanted his mate, his father wanted him to lead the pack and well just guess.

These stories have been going on for so long that they are starting to resemble each other in parts. The problem is that they are just getting rehashed in similar ways. However it is still quite entertaining and I do enjoy the humor that you can find in them. The characters are quirky and funny as hell in parts of it. There is danger mixed in the story to give you that little bite. I was glad to see some of the old characters from the beginning show up to give it a bit of a push.

Other than my own issues with the story it is still a good read.

Review: Each book in the Wolves of Stone Ridge collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. This series is the start but there were many different series that are connected to this.

Castrose and his brother Clayton are assassins and damn good at their job. They are very close but Clayton is the one that doesn’t border on being truly bad. Now Clayton is missing and Castrose is going to get him back. He just had not expected to the one being hunted since he was the hunter. He also didn’t expect the sexy man to tell him they are mates.

Eion was talked into hunting with his family and in fact lost a bet because of it. However today is a damn good day for it to happen, he has found his mate. A mate with a sniper’s rifle aimed at his alpha’s house, maybe might not be the best day for it either.

It has been a long time since I have gotten to read one of these stories. I use to love getting to read them and loosing myself in their world. The only true downside to them is that they are not long enough to truly get lost in them. They are full of action and danger plus lets not forget to say sexy times. I liked the characters quite a bit. Although I do think that they give in to soon to the love side of things.

It is a very enjoyable read and I look forward to seeing what is next in this amazing series.

Review: It as a day of many bad surprises, okay maybe not all of the surprises were bad. Jericho overheard his uncle and another planning to bury a body. He has also found his mate, and man is the man not sex on a stick. His very male mate and boy did he not want to tell his uncle. He was afraid that the man would get on his motorcycle and run away as fast as he could.

Ben and his best friend needed to take a break from riding. But his luck has changed, he has found out that the sexy bunny shifter is his mate. A mate that is definitely freaking out. To find out that Jericho’s uncle was the one that hurt him but also the dead body, well Ben wasn’t going anywhere.

You have a small town with noisy neighbors walking in, someone always stealing your food, pretty cool characters and danger in these stories. The problem was that they are following pretty much the same pattern. Big wolf shifter, small bunny shifter, danger and so on is just a bit to used for me to truly love the story. Other than that though it is still entertaining.

I enjoyed reading it and look forward to reading the next book.

Blurb: What lurks in the dark is not always a monster. Sometimes it’s your deepest desire.

Having survived brutal centuries as Dracul’s slave, Dafydd is pulling his life together. He has accepted his role as father to baby Idris and is determined to raise this son without the evil influence of his alien blood. Trauma still affects every aspect of his daily life, however, and he struggles to cope with it in dangerous ways. He also cannot quite shake the appeal of the human doctor who saved his life.

Ric began his journey with the aliens out of medical curiosity. After his adventure in Wales, he can no longer dismiss how it has become personal. He knows Dafydd is not ready for any kind of relationship, but the lure of courting him is something Ric cannot resist.

When a new problem crops up in the Boston crime world, the aliens are forced to explore the possibility that it is more than human-based. Their journey of discovery ropes in both Dafydd and Ric, throwing them together and forcing them to face their attraction and their demons.

Malcolm is along for the ride with Brenin, who, like Dafydd, is dealing with his own PTSD. The four of them must lean on each other to find a way past the lasting damage visited on them by the monster.

Review: Fair warning this book contains scenes of violence, rape, enslavement, torture, forced pregnancy, public sex and prescription drug abuse.

You basically get the lives of four men in this story. Dafydd and Ric as well as Malcolm and Brenin. Dafydd had been held for close to four hundred years by a monster, whereas Brenin had been held for months. Dafydd had also been forced to have babies with the monster. He had even killed one of the twins to save one of the men trying to save them. He had wanted to die but was forced by the doc to survive. He was just now getting around to trying to be a father to his latest baby.

Malcolm knew that Brenin was still having troubles with what had happened. He just didn’t have a clue how to help him. Ric was in the same boat but with Dafydd using pills with alcohol. Neither man knew what to do to help the men they loved.

I don’t really know what it is about these stories that doesn’t do it for me. However if I had to guess it is the dark side to the stories. The BDSM doesn’t bother me too much but I don’t really need it in any of the stories. I think mostly it was the fact that it was about four men instead of just Ric and Dafydd. They seemed to be thrown back for parts of the story. The mates come off shallow and immature when they shouldn’t be. It just made the story a bit harder to get into as it should have.

I hate to admit that the same dark tone is what is making me change my mind with this series. I just can’t seem to connect with them. It was fine to read but I can honestly say that it will only be read once.

Review: Steven is a sweet innocent young man and had the best brother ever. When his mother was pregnant with him she had been using and it left him a little bit slow. His brother always watched out for him. However when a man asked him out after some ice cream his little life was about to get more interesting.

Derek owned most of the town but never truly flaunt it. He had an idiot for an ex that seemed to want him back and a weasel for a cousin. Now he has found his mate. He is falling in love but danger is just around the corner.

I really liked the characters quite a bit but the story felt like it was lacking something to make it stand out. It had the same old ex who wanted revenge or his man back theme which is a bit old to me. However other than that it was pretty good and I can see it being read many times over.

Review: Colton has found his mate and his mate has a boyfriend. Colton is a seahorse shifter and works at World of Aquatica. He hadn’t always lived there but when he was eaten by a squid well he took that as a sign. Now he loved it. All he had to do is to figure out how to get his mate to leave his boyfriend.

Waylon is a big beautiful man with a big heart. To bad his boyfriend is a possessive jerk. However when he through a fit at Waylon’s work it seemed a good idea to dump the asshat. When he say Colton while out on a date things were starting to get a bit strange, just wait till he finds out why.

Charlie has always been an amazing author and her stories just keeps getting better. I loved the idea of a seahorse shifter and the story just about rocked my world. The only problem is that they are so short that leaves me wishing for more. I could have done with out the possessive jerk and his friends, but they made the story a bit stronger I would say.

Now I can honestly say that these are stories that will be read many times over. In fact they make me want to go read the whole series once more. I get a kick out of them and this was no different. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.

Review: Each book in the Council Enforcers collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. This series is connected to the Whitedell Pride and Gillham Pack so I would suggest reading those first.

Ten years ago Nate’s little brother had been kidnapped and killed. He was still missing him to this day, boy is he in for one hell of a surprise. He was a forty-two year old man who owned a bar and had a bad back. He was not a catch in his eyes. However he has had his eyes on one sexy Nix that comes into the bar.

Pryderi left his family and people behind four years ago. He had not wanted to stay and mate with a female just to have a child and keep his parents happy. He has found his mate and wasn’t to sure how to tell him. He had been rejected by his parents and his brother didn’t truly want anything to do with him. That is until he gets a call, his brother had been abducted close to a month ago and he had not known.

Nate has issues with his mate doing the job as an enforcer. He still felt the loss of his brother, even though his brother is back, but he still was scared. Damn these two really need to learn how to communicate. I always am intrigued by the world this author creates. They just make it seem like you are right there with them and are kicking ass right along side them. It is a pretty fascinating series to get hooked on.

I had a blast reading this and can’t wait to see what the next book has going on.

Review: Mr. Fluffkins, and is that not a funny name, is not what he appears. He is a beautiful black cat who had some amazing owners. When Sam disappears Mary Ann goes through a period of sadness and all Fluffkins knows is he has to find Sam. He is a black cat that has a human brain. What he doesn’t understand is that he is a shifter. When he gets lost, then taken by a drunk, runs away only to be found by a shifter, things start looking up. However he did like the name Sam had given him, Dillan.

Rhys is a weretiger who couldn’t tell an old woman no. He decided to try and find her lost cat. However things are starting to get real weird. Especially when he finds Dillan in his human form with a tail and ears.

First thing I am going to say is that you have to get through most of the story before the guys even find themselves together. Then once they meet, well sex is on. For someone who spent his life as a cat, it seemed a bit rushed. Then there is the fact that you never find out what the dream he had meant, nor do you find out how he ended up where he was. It didn’t keep my attention as well as it should have and left questions that had no answers. Plus it ended with a cliffhanger, a no go for me. I hate books that leave me hanging.

Other than that it was still pretty good. However a lot of things that were in the story made the story feel drawn out and could have been left out to make the story stand out better. Overall it is a good story and I look forward to seeing what the next book has going on. Hopefully we see a baby and a new romantic couple.

Review: Each book in the collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Draif had been a slave for most of his life but now thanks to his best friend Leti he is free. He had been fifteen when he was sold to Leti’s father, but Leti did not want him as a bed-slave. Leti had just wanted him as a friend and brother. Now he was completely free. Draif was demisexual and it took him time to fall in love. The one time he had tried it, the man had betrayed him. Now he realizes just what Lucas means to him.

Lucas knew Draif was his lifemate but also knew that he had to give the man time. Now he has seen Draif’s eyes follow him but wasn’t too sure what to expect. Their relationship is heading into the best direction. On top of that they were going to destroy the Queen and Human First group. It is going to be the fight of their lives.

This story runs right along with the fifth book in this series. It is written a bit different that I am used to but it really does work. It is action packed and the excitement is felt throughout the whole book. I love that even though it has a serious tone to it, there is so much humor mixed in. The war that we have waited on has come and damn if it doesn’t rock. I loved the characters and their quirky attitudes.

I hope that there are many more books in this series. They are stories that will be read many times over. I had a blast reading this and can’t wait to read them over.

I loved it and can’t wait for this authors next book.

Review: Alvaro had once been a military man turned assassin, that is until he was betrayed and killed. Although in truth he was now known as Delta working for Locke and Keyes Agency. An agency that was ran by a man they never met. Two years ago he had risked everything and it came to bite him in the ass. Now the past was standing before him.

Caiden had always wanted to be a spook and had gotten what he wanted. Then one phone call ruined his life. He was set up and his cover was blown. Now a second chance to find out who destroyed his life, brought him right into the path of a man he had thought was dead.

These guys working together, well they would either kill each other or sleep together. The way they talk to each other, you can tell they would be burning the sheets up. I just loved the way the guys could joke back and forth, and the chemistry was definitely there. Although I do think parts of the story came a bit too fast, lets just say it was worth it.

This is one of those stories by an author that will always keep you entertained and laughing at parts of the story. The guys are just adorable and you will fall in love with them all. Even the alpha is a crack pot, which was a kick. Now there were parts of the story that were a bit to close to a tv show, but it still rocked. A leader never seen just heard, men who kill, danger and excitement, action packed and some definitely hot sex is just a bit of what you get in this story.

This is a great start to a new series and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book. It was a great read that kept my attention through out the whole story. I had a blast reading this and would definitely recommend it.
