Review:  I really loved this short but sweet story. This novel stars Alex Harper and Callum Winters. Alex works at an antique shop and his specialty are watches. He knows everything about them. One slow day, Callum walks in with his Grandfather’s watch. This is the moment where the story takes off.

I loved Alex. He was sweet, sensitive and had the best family ever. Callum was the bomb for me. He was a little shy since he was still not comfortable parading his sexuality around. Both main characters somehow helped and balanced each other off. The story behind Callum’s watch was tragic and sad. Callum’s grandfather (Hale) was in love with another young man named Billy. When Billy’s father caught them in a compromising situation, he forced Billy to enroll in the army and Hale to marry Bill’s younger sister, Mary. When Billy dies, Hale is forced to move on with only his memory and his new wife.

I recommend this novel to anyone who wants to read a sweet little story about two couples, generations apart.

Blurb: A short story, approx. 12.5K words.

Heartbroken, Dean Cartwright leaves Sydney and heads home, to the coastal town of Newcastle. In a bid to make new friends, he signs up for a local rugby league team where he meets a man known as Macca.

Dean and Macca are both front row forwards, meaning they’re the biggest guys on the team. Over six feet tall and over a hundred kilos each, they’re a force to be reckoned with on the field.

But when Dean gets knocked out, Macca gets even by punching the other guy and both Dean and Macca end up on the sideline.

Dean soon realizes that being knocked unconscious is the best thing to ever happen to him.

Story is set in Australia, and uses Australian English

Review:  Dean moves back home near his family after a breakup with his ex. He is a big man and played rugby in school so he joins the local team to make a few friends. One night while playing an opposing team player hits him hard. One of his teammates; a mild-mannered but man even larger than himself, gets even with the other guy. He offers to take Dean home instead of going out with the guys to celebrate.

This is a beautifully written sweet, charming story of two men that have a slight attraction but are not sure of the others sexuality. The characters are likable and very masculine, the storyline is short but sweet, and the sex is hot and sensual.

Recommendation: If you like, two big guys, sweet romance, rugby, and sensual mansex this one is for you.

Blurb: Brent Kelly was a laid-back tradesman, whose only concerns were drinks with friends and which man to bed next. In need of a new accountant to sort out his shoebox of receipts, he’s referred to Logan Willis, a quiet spoken, science-fiction loving geek. He didn’t expect the geeky guy with an English accent and dark-rimmed glasses, wearing a TARDIS-blue shirt to be so intriguing.

He didn’t expect to be fascinated by him, let alone attracted to him. He most certainly didn’t expect to fall in love.

From jock to geek, both men know the differences between them are vast. But in this opposites-attract erotic drama, maybe it wasn’t the differences between them that would drive them apart. Maybe it was the differences between them that made it worth the fight.

Review: Brent Kelly turns up at his new accountant’s office with a shoebox full of receipts. He is struck dumb when he meets him and it has nothing to do with his paperwork either. Logan is surprised when he gets a call from Brent and agrees to see the man outside the office.

This is a cute and sweet romance that will have you smiling while you read and leave you with a warm happy glow. Brent is an electrician who works construction and goes out with the guys on a Friday night for a beer and a good time and is unabashedly gay. Logan is an accountant who is a bit of a geek and loves Dr. Who.  He helps his sister in her bookshop on the weekends and is careful about his sexuality… put these two men together and opposites attract and what we get is a true romance.

These characters are wonderful together. Brent getting tongue-tied around Logan at first, Logan getting Brent hooked on Dr. Who and Torchwood, spending time together, making love and hanging out with friends there isn’t one moment that you doubt that they belong together. This is a really well written book that shows both men having doubts as to whether they are good enough for the other, but finding that even though they are so different they still get along brilliantly together.

Their relationship is going great when someone interferes and nearly destroys everything between them.  But, with a friend to mediate and explain some things they just might make it. The sex between Brent and Logan is hot and erotic and Logan can be quite a force when he is horny.

I will recommend this to those who want a sweet romance with a touch of conflict, of opposites attracting, of fears of short comings and a happy ever after that leaves you smiling.
