Review: Let me start with the point that this is a long story.  It is 451 pages and is much more than just a simple love story between two men. When it states that, it is the Connelly Chronicles, which is exactly what this is.  Ray and Viv meeting and falling in love is the tip of the iceberg.  There is a LOT of family in this book and readers should not for a minute lose track or they will be lost.  I suggest a pad and pencil to keep all the players straight (so to speak). I will admit to an initial confusion when first reading. My disorientation was due to the story moving backwards and forwards between Viv and Ray’s perspective in the beginning which was a tad confusing.  Novels in a single character’s voice are easier to follow; OR if using multiple voices, separate them by chapter or some other indicator, so that the reader is cued as to when the story will be in another character’s perspective.

So let’s summarize quickly then shall we. Viv is straight, or so he thinks and claims, and Ray has not come yet out the closet; but, they embark ‘fake’ relationship for reasons which I’ll allow the reader to explore. I experienced a believability issue here because both inexperienced men seemed too “okay” with the fake relationship, especially Viv, the straight man who can’t seem to keep his hands off the NOW newly out Ray.  Yeah, issue with believability here. But it’s cute and so I kept reading.  Ray is the super nice guy who allows the sexually oriented confused Viv to take advantage of the pretend boyfriend situation way too long. On the surface the pretend situation is cute until you realize that in Viv refusing to come out and admit his feelings for Ray, Ray is left in a situation where he’s marching to Ray’s tune.  That is not a nice thing to do to anyone – but for the sake of literary love, we accept that this is part of the courting game of the two men. Then we move to my second bout with suspended disbelief: there is a LOT of hot kissing and making out between these two man-love virgins but it never leads to sex. Really? There is no way two sexually active and aware men are going to be naked in bed and sex isn’t going to happen EVEN if one claims to be straight but is wrapped around the other like a spider monkey.  Men are basic – naked beside naked equals sex – Simple as that.

Finally we get to where Ray and Viv are in a “real” relationship and suddenly we throw in Viv’s ex trailer trash girlfriend who’s trying to create problems.  Now I cannot even understand how she’s still in the picture with criminal act she committed. Thankfully someone got a clue and the law finally caught up in the story when she aimed to commit the same crime twice.  By the time we wrap our brains around that, suddenly there are additional siblings, surrogate babies and families. Did I mention that it’s Ray’s ex and best friend who are the surrogates? The family confusion and cross-pollination friend dynamics I will leave to each reader to unravel, remember to keep the note pad handy; and, just be warned that even while there is an ‘ick’ and ‘squick’ quality to it all, it’s still sickeningly sweet.

There is a LOT going on in this book. Quite frankly it’s enough for two books.  If this is a series, then the first book should have focused on Ray and Viv becoming a couple and then the second book on them becoming a family with all of the ensuing drama, especially since the second half of the book is written almost entirely from Ray’s perspective. There are several stories running concurrently but they all blend since the core of the second half of story is about Viv and Ray building the Connelly family. There appears to be a sequel to the story called Beautiful Goodbyes, which I’m sure will begin with the cliff-hanger left at the end of this book (no spoiler alert here); and continue to be about Viv and Ray continuing the Connelly empire and the large group of friends and allies they’ve developed.  The book is clearly a … saga.

The story has two distinctly different feels to it. The first half of the book is clearly the typical coming out story of two men who must find each other and their HEA. The second half of the book is what happens after the HEA when life happens and these men must manage some very fantastical situations. It felt a bit like I was living in a soap opera, with the number of over-the-top things which happen to this couple; yet through it all their love and family prevail. I have only one spoiler for readers: Think John and Kate plus 8. The whole story has an air of unbelievability to it, but its sweetness and the readers desire to see Ray and Viv together as they build this remarkable family make you forgive it and chalk it up to it being entertainment so realism can be tossed out the window.

Review: Robert’s sister sends his niece to stay with him a few weeks on a blood-bond, that he can’t let his niece know he is gay. This is a problem’s since his lover and husband lives with him they live in the middle of the woods and there is another reason I won’t tell you but it has to do with Samhain.

I loved this story. It was fun intriguing and sweet.   I loved the intrigue that ensued between him and the witch of darkness.  I also liked the way Aimee just fit in as much as she rebelled. I think this is a very fun story for a quick, fun, Halloween read. So grab a popcorn ball, cup of cocoa, and enjoy!

I recommend if you like Dark witches, light witches, familiars, fairies, rebellious teens and sex-magic.

Review: This is a very short seasonal story, not creepy or haunting, rather a romantic erotica.

William is a chain restaurant owner and after many years, he comes back to his hometown to make a deal with the man whose pumpkins are legendary. What was meant to be a business deal though turns more…

Jared is young a gorgeous. He’s charm is strong enough to seduce even the pickiest of them, and William is indeed very picky. However, this little “roll in the hay” turns out promising something more profound, something both men ling for.

And while this little story started promising itself down the road, it managed to become one of those I really don’t like. The only part I truly liked and had a touch of wickedness, playfulness, and Halloweenish about it was the starting scene of their “roll in the hay.” That tattoo was a naughty touch.

But things started turning shady when the first sex scene ended and the second one followed. No, it wasn’t the fact that they went immediately in round two that bothered me, that happens often and it is often quite sexy. However, the second scene included fellatio on the member that a couple of minutes previously went bareback at an un-douched rear end. I’m all for kink, honestly, I love kink, but I’m not sure this was intentional or somehow was overlooked. It managed to make me feel uncomfortable with it, as rare as it is for me to feel so.

Moving on, what was meant to be a trick or treat turned into a love is in the air romance. Such a short story, so unrelated scenes and emotions, such a lack of chemistry. Yes, it was lustful but romance so fast, that is simply not my kind of cuppa. Instant love? I’m just too cynical for that.

Review: Well, it’s that time of the year when we celebrate Halloween and everything creepy, horrific, and/or haunted. Of course, I’d be reading stories in the spirit of the… dead…? Undead…?

Here we have Jonathan, a paranormal investigator, visiting on a business trip and Lunatic Asylum long closed and out of work. However the owner of the place can’t make use of it in any possible way because of… ghosts. He swears the place is haunted and Jonathan is going to have to prove it with facts.

While everything looks pretty normal around the Asylum things take a drastic change for the worse, or rather chilly, when he steps foot at the morgue. Paranormal activity-check! Creepy factor-check! Conversation with a ghost-check again!

What else is there to happen…?

So my impression was that this is a very decent little creepy story. It could be more, much more, but I suppose that was not the intension. The way the author tried to make a balance out of a dreadful ghost and romance blooming I thing she managed to write a tame sort of ghost story. That’s not to say I didn’t like it, I did, and boy did I enjoy our scary at first ghost Ernie. The way he used his… energy… yeah, that was cool and managed to bring some heat through the chills. My inner freak would have loved the scary factor to have been higher and higher, but don’t you mind me, I’m weird.

For all you who like ghost stories this one is recommended. It also has some logical king of explanation (sort of) on the how’s and why’s of an afterlife. Enjoy!

Review:  Jonathan is a senior reaper who is used to working alone. When he learns he’s been paired with a newbie he’s less than pleased. That is until young Morgan walks into the room. Jonathan is immediately smitten with the fae prince and wastes no time showing him who is boss, in and out of the bedroom.

Morgan is anxious to prove himself, and the attraction is definitely mutual. With the help of a death angel assigned to them, they set out to reap the most souls this year. Natural disasters and unforeseeable catastrophes assist the threesome in winning the event. Once the reaping comes to an end, will Jonathan continue to mentor Morgan, in and out of the bedroom?

Fast paced and fresh, this book was just a lot of fun to read. Jonathan dominated Morgan from the start, taking him to his bed to prove that dominance. But Morgan has talents of his own, and they would not have won the reaping without his inventive idea. These two have some pretty hot sex, several times. Even Death and Gandymede get in on the sexcapades with a couple of sexy fae given to them as gifts from Morgan.

If you’re looking for something fun and sexy to read this Halloween, give this one a try. Its short but the content still has meat, it’s not just about the sex, and there is the story of the reaping as well. Recommended for fans of paranormal romance, fae and certain underworld characters.

Review: After Mark was defrocked, he moved to New York from the mid-south to start over and blend in. He finds a job as a waiter and makes a couple of friends there. One day he is walking and a man spots him and asks him to fill in for a model shoot. He is offered a big job and gets famous. Then the twists really begin.

I liked this story. I really liked Mark. His character is very likeable. The storyline is intriguing and the mystery was interesting.  The first twist really caught me by surprise. I would have liked to seen a bit more connection between Angelo and Mark and a more heated romance between Mark and Paul. But overall, the story was interesting and worked for me.

I recommend this if you like a romance with a bit of mystery and intrigue with a surprising twist and a satisfying ending.

Blurb: In Touché, the tenth book of the best-selling Orgasmic Texas Dawn series, Marco and Sam grow closer in some respects and yet are pulled apart in others. Whilst Marco, still recovering from his injuries has developed a dependency on his prescription meds and is in constant pain. With Trace and Sam determined to help him, Sam meanwhile accepts an undercover assignment with the US Marshals in the often violent, drug-strewn country of Colombia. Marco flies to Colombia as part of the backup team helping Sam in his guise as a big-time drug buyer, where the US Marshals are hoping to take down the Howard family drug cartel once and for all.

Marco is in obvious pain but it’s Trace who winds up hospitalized. Marco and Nicholas soon become involved in a case of a different kind in the ravaged streets of Bogotá, the nation’s capital. An abandoned newborn baby has been reported to the hospital but the caller is a young girl and speaks only English. With time running against them, Marco and Nicholas race to find the child as Sam enters the twilight world of big-money drug dealing…

Review: This story is part of a series and must be read in order. Marco and Sam are still struggling with their feelings for each other, being on opposite sides of the law doesn’t help in the least but staying away from each other is something neither man can do. Marco is still struggling with his injury from the ambush and is becoming dependent on pain meds. Sam finds himself under the thumb of an unscrupulous U.S. Marshal who will sacrifice anything to shut down the Howards. And both Sam and Marco find themselves in danger, when someone from Sam’s gang decides they want Sam gone.

This is a great addition to the Orgasmic Texas Dawn series but we don’t get to see Jubilee or Kieran :-(. We are now on our third couple in the series after seeing two other sets of U.S. Marshals find their happy relationships but this is the most difficult relationship yet. Sam is the leader of a biker gang who is unhappy with his lot, Marco is the one that got away and is making a life for himself as a U.S. Marshal, their attraction and feelings for each other make their positions hard and Sam finds himself working for the Marshal’s to bring down a cartel.

We see Sam and Marco admit their feelings for each other but they still can’t really be together. Sam has little choice in his actions, but tries to make them work for him. And Marco has to fight his jealousy, his need for Sam and his constant pain to carry on with his job. Marco finds himself in danger with Sam riding to the rescue and Sam discovers he is tied to a mysterious man who is more involved in the cartels than the US Marshals realize. With investigations and undercover ops their way of life, for the US Marshals hospital visits are to be expected, but two of them end up in hospital for unexpected reasons.

Now while I have loved reading the Orgasmic Texas Dawn series I found this one to be less exciting than the others, there was less separate investigations and it was more focused on the Howard’s and the cartel. We do see a little diversion with Sam’s gang but that was really about it other than the baby nearer to the end of the story, but I suppose I have just been spoilt with the interesting array of investigations in the past. The story flows smoothly and Marco and Sam are still mega hot, their sex life is still smoking and their imaginations are descriptive and hot.

I recommend this to those who love U.S. Marshals, hot bikers, great investigations, excitement and action, danger and rescues and an ending that gives us hope for the future.

Can they come together as bonded mates in time to help save their packs? Will Garrett be able to finally see the truth about Rain before it’s too late?

Review: Humans; Shifters who haven’t shifted yet ~ no matter their age; Betas; Alphas; Supreme Alphas – Got it?  OK now we can begin.  Ahh, the things one learns about Shifters along the way.  Writer Cheyenne Meadows brings us into the world of Rain, Jet, and Garrett.  The writing is choppy at first but eventually settles into a bounding rhythm.

Turbulent Rain is a Male/Male romance story with an introduction of a Female.  And it is written as such.  The scenes of sizzle are between the two mates Jet and Garrett.  The introduction of Rain into their relationship sexually is well done but stunted. The overall story is well crafted with certain plot points given the Jedi’s keystroke where Rain is concerned.  The focus as this crime tale unfolds is, of course, Rain’s rebellion at being forced to choose a mate.  But we don’t get so lost in the rebellion that we forget that Rain is female.  Therein lays the main issue with this otherwise wonderful story.

I began reading this story as I was taught:  find the main character and follow them.  I presumed from the title that this was Rain’s story and it is not.  This is Rain, Jet, and Garrett’s story – and should be read as such.  Kudos to Cheyenne Meadows for teaching this old reader to see with new eyes.

Review: Never Again is what Joseph thinks over and over in his head for over one and a half century when he loses his lover during the Civil War. Never again will he let himself fall for a human, never again will he feel the pain such loss causes. But he doesn’t count on Cal, a man who irritates him and challenges him and eventually crawls under his skin. Before he knows it, Cal is what his heart desires and his life revolves around making him smile. But when life throws you the good stuff it also throws some bad for good measure, and Joe must make up his mind, help his lover and thus revealing the truth about what he is and risk losing him in the process, or let it go and see him hurt along the way?

This book was actually nice and the story appealing in many ways. I liked it that it started as a historical with Joe falling and losing his first and only love. I liked it that the author didn’t simply state that fact but made a quick short story and let us have a look at Joe’s past. And the contemporary follow-up was very nice as well. The core of it was very engaging, the statement loud and clear about how things are in many cities when it comes to homeless people and what’s being done for them. I liked it, takes things into perspective a bit.

As for Joe and Cal, they made two very interesting characters. Joe being a shifter who ages very slowly and has been around for over a hundred and fifty years and Cal a war veteran who came back to pretty much nothing and faced the difficulties he did before deciding to do something about it. As I said very interesting indeed, but that is where it stops for me, because the plot left behind holes. Too many questions came up throughout the read that were left unanswered and that is too off-putting for me.

The fact that Joe is a wolf shifter is enticing, the fact that there’s not much about it makes me shake my head. No family in the grand scene, where did he came from, what happened to the rest, how, why? Why was he alone with only his sister? Why didn’t they live with other shifters in the vicinity? What happened to his sister in the present day? How did she pass away? Do the gene carriers live as long as the pure shifters? These are simple examples of the many questions accumulated and just on top of my head from this book.

Moving on there was the “human’s” reaction to Joe revealing his secret. Both Rawleigh and Cal reacted a bit, hmm how should I put this? As if ok, Joe is a shifter, I love him, let’s move on. No screams, no panting, no great disbelief, no “what the hell ever” exclamations. Ok, I’m being a bit unfair since Cal did make an effort at freaking out, but come on that was way too easy. In addition there wasn’t many attributes given at the human side of the shifter, no superior strength, although it was hinted at time, it was not shown in action really. And right there at the end, when Joe finally shifts and we get to see him in action a) the action was at best lukewarm and b) teleportation? Really? And the author left that fact unexploited? Such a shame.

So what I’m trying to say with so many (perhaps unnecessary) words is that while I loved the romantic parts, both historical and contemporary, I really felt the paranormal one was left unexplored and that took the joy from this read quite a bit for me. That being said, I still would recommend this book as it is quite romantic in so many beautiful ways.

Review: The publishers put this book under the genre of comedy/crime, but I found nothing funny about it. It was mainly about an exotic dancer becoming a questionably willing sexual partner to a crime boss. One he knew had violent tendencies and had earlier held him at gunpoint during a gang confrontation. Kasey is kind of like a male Geisha but not as classy: dancing, being eye-candy, performing for, and entertaining rich men. I think the books interest lies in the fascination of gang life, mafia style, and living on the edge. Giving a more human story to sex workers and mob bosses.

In the end Kasey and his best friend leave the crime life and clean themselves up, but Kasey comes back to Nagi. I’m a bit confused; maybe this should be fantasy genre instead. Or Yaoi? There are some pretty steamy scenes, so maybe it does fall a bit into BDSM, too. Little Boss was entertaining, but could have been more.

Blurb: A mysterious event destroys the world and merges two adjacent realities. The Dark Ones are gathering and now more than ever, Lucian and Raide must fight for each other and those they love.

After an apocalyptic event—a devastating earthquake and acid rain—the world merges with a parallel reality. Atmospheric gases obscure the sun and strange entities haunt the night. A group of survivors start a journey to seek aid.

Lucian Seagrave, a city boy with aspirations of becoming a rock singer, discovers Raide, a former monk from the adjacent reality. Raide reads auras and knows Lucian is fated to be his soul mate.

But the Dark Ones are lurking. As any hope to find help fades, Lucian and Raide learn they have to fight for each other and those they love.

Review: A cataclysmic event causes the world Lucian knew to nearly cease to exist, with the earth churned up and building crumbling Lucian’s small band of survivors seek others and shelter, but with the acid rain and the strange nighttime creatures, they have a harsh journey ahead of them. Raide was a novice monk when the earthquake first struck and the acid rain fell, he watched as those around him disappeared and with another young novice sets out to discover what happened. Raide and Lucian meet, Raide overjoyed that his soul mate still lives and their attraction flares, but the Dark Ones are out there seeking to spread their blackness and Raide and Lucian must fight for each other.

This is a great story of two nearly parallel worlds colliding, with few survivors and a daunting new world. Lucian survives the earthquake and the acid rain, he rushes to his best friend Emanuel, and they discover nearly everyone else has disappeared. With one other survivor they set off to check on loved ones and join up with those who have survived, they face the desolation and set off for the city hoping there are more people. Raide and Julius are the only survivors at the monastery and they set off to find out what has happened and if anyone else has survived, but they fall into the hands of the Dark Ones before being rescued by Raide’s soul-mate, Lucian, and they all embark on a journey of survival hoping to avoid the Dark Ones and the night creatures.

This is one of those stories that has quite a bit for us to grasp, somehow two parallel worlds have collided and the destruction is devastating, we have bands of survivors searching for others, but none of them can make sense of what has happened until people from the opposite worlds meet. Mysterious night creatures attack at night and there are bands of Dark Ones or evil people who roam during the day, then we have the various relationships of the survivors. We also discover that some people on Raide’s world have soul mates and some people can see auras, it adds that bit of extra intrigue to the story as well as the fact that Raide’s world was three months in front with time.

This story holds your attention from the start but you do begin to question Lucian’s relationship with Emanuel early on, but you begin to understand the dynamics of their friendship. Lucian’s and Raide’s relationship is special their coming together is both sweet and powerful. The discoveries we make are good and the slight action we see is great. The band of survivors are an interesting selection and you become invested in their journey and wonder what they face. The world building is great, you get a wonderful sense of the desolation that surrounds them all on their journey with the burnt out cars and destroyed buildings, the piles of empty clothes and the nameless, faceless identification as though those that are gone never existed.

I recommend this to those who love strange post-apocalyptic events, bonds being made, and relationships being forged, hot sweet loving, kidnappings, and rescues and ending that is also a beginning.

Blurb: What would you do if you took your family for a fun day at Universal Studios, watched your husband and son go on a ride and when they return… they are completely different people?

For Jack Connors it’s a nightmare when he tries to convince park security, police, and then hospital staff that the two people claiming to be his loved ones are impostors. Worse… he has no proof. They are far from home and the only photo in his wallet is that of the man and child from the ride.

Something sinister is afoot but Jack isn’t quite sure what… or why his whole world has just gone haywire.

Purchase Link: https://spsilverpublishing.com/haywire-ebook-p-1162.html

Review: Jack is living a nightmare, his husband (Dex) and son (Nicky) have returned from an amusement ride but they are not his husband and son… but soon he begins to question his sanity as the evidence mounts up that they are in fact Dex and Nicky. Why has this happened to him? Where are the real Dex and Nicky? And why is he so attracted to the new Dex?

Okay, so yeah… I mean wow, but damn this is a book that raised the hair on my neck. Jack falls into a situation that nobody could ever dream of, two complete strangers declare that they are his husband and son and the real ones are nowhere to be found. What is even worse is Jack’s mom and dad are convinced they are Dex and Nicky, and then there are all the photos, just how did they manage to do that? Is Jack losing his mind or is there really something more sinister going on?

Okay, now this is a difficult review to write because I really don’t want to give anything away. But, other than what I have written above, anything else would give you hints and clues. And well, I think you should go in blind and get the full experience of confusion, doubts and fear as Jack experiences it. I am not even going to cover the second half of the book because that’s where everything becomes clear. Dex and Nicky have been replaced, but have they? You actually begin to think that Jack has lost it, but inconsistencies crop up but then there is Jack’s parents to consider and you think why would they do that to their son? They wouldn’t… or would they?

This story bounces you back and forth between thinking Jack’s lost his mind, and there is a conspiracy going on, it keeps you unstable for some time before it begins to unravel its secrets for you, and honey they are whoppers. The situation between Jack and the ‘new’ Dex is interesting, Jack is certain ‘Dex’ isn’t his husband but can’t fight his reaction to him so there are hot sex scenes between them, but Jack really doesn’t trust ‘Dex’ and finds it hard to interact with the new ‘Nicky’.

So I recommend this book if you like science fiction, government secrets, running for your lives, dodging… (Read the book!), a surprise that will shock (I never saw it coming *the first bit I suspected, the second bit nuh-uh*) and hot sex, with mystery, confusion and a kinda happy ending for two broken men.

Review: This is a sequel to the absent-minded astrophysicist.  You don’t have to read both books as this one tells the backstory quite well but you will want to anyhow.

In this one, Jareth and Liam have been married a round six years and Jamie, Jareth’s brother, and his wife is having a baby. This gets Liam to wondering if Jareth wants children and sets a very wild string of events in motion.  Liam is so smart and always thinking about his work and things, he doesn’t pay attention and is very accident-prone. This causes some serious problems for their relationship and their quest to adopt a child.

One of my favourite things about this author is the ability to pull off such an extremely sweet love story without it feeling over the top. There is enough suspense, mystery, and twists that this sweetness acts as a buffer. A perfect blend of emotion. I love the attention to detail with each character and I also love the interaction of the pets.  There is a sweet little bonus at the end for all you slaves of cats.

I highly recommend this if you like a sweet loving romance, twists, ex-military man, security guards, scientists, babies and cats.

Blurb: Even with Rhys holding the knife at Kullian’s throat drawing blood, he knew he had no control over the Fey Baron. Kullian knew it too. However, the dangerous dance was sexy as hell. But who would come out on top?

Rhys has spent his entire life in underground Winderport. He knew there was a whole other world above his “sky” but he wasn’t interested–until the day, he chased a killer to that mystical upper world and saw Kullian, all six-foot something of perfection. So what if the man was a notorious and powerful Fey Baron? Rhys wasn’t a typical law-abiding citizen himself. The very fact the man was dangerous made him that much more attractive and had Rhys wanting things he’d never even considered before.

But an injury causes Rhys to lose his memory and his only clues to his identity are his gun and a camera with pictures of Kullian’s silver eyes looking right into the lens. However, Rhys does have one memory–he was after a murderer and somehow Kullian is involved. It’s a race against time because Rhys needs to find his memory and this mysterious killer before it’s too late. Could it be he might just find love as well?

Review: Rhys lives in underground Winderport with his gang Fury. They all know that there is a world above them that they have heard stories about, but never do they ever expect to leave the underground. When one of his gang, Joey, is murdered, Rhys is on the trail of the killer all the way up to above Winderport, where the killer has a meeting with a mysterious man. But Rhys has an accident and forgets everything. All he has to go on is a flash of memory of fat fingers and some pictures of a sexy man. When he meets Kullian, he can’t fight the attraction but he has to regain his memories, as he knows there is something important he has to do.

This is a great story set some time in the future where the underground tunnels has its own civilization and the above world is run by powerful men. Rhys is the leader of his gang, a small group of guys who are like family, but now one of their own has been murdered and Rhys is determined to make the killer pay. Kullian is a Fey Baron, a self-made powerful man, and somebody has stolen something that should never fall into anyone’s hands and he wants it back. The two men cross paths and their worlds collide but can their attraction really breach the divide of above and underground Winderport?

Rhys and Kullian are both great characters who come together by chance, Rhys is looking for the murderer of his friend, and Kullian wants back what was stolen. Their paths cross and their reaction to each other is instant, but Rhys’ memory loss is hampering him and after an amazing night with Kullian he attempts to go on the hunt again. While the story is playing out above ground, we also see what is happening underground with Rhys’ gang and their desperation to find Rhys but they also have to deal with a rival gang boss who has a grudge against Rhys. The gang characters Teneff, Pylei, Nerin, Westvil and Guneal are wonderfully written and add a lot to the story, enriching the storyline and helping to connect the threads together.

I recommend this to those who love futuristic stories, great characters, a well woven plot, a great storyline with danger, twists and tense situations, a fast developing relationship, hot sex and a great ending.

Review: This is the second book of this Series. This one stands alone as it is about a different character. I do love that we got to see more of Kaleb and Trent’s relationship and how Kaleb is faring now. This book is about Kay, one of Sid and Sam’s twins.  Kaleb raised Kay as his own son after Sam fell ill and they could not afford to raise both twins.

When the book begins, Kay is 13ish and dealing with his feelings about living with Kaleb and his relationship with his real mother and father and twin sister. As the book progresses it deals more with his personal relationships.

This book isn’t near as dark as the first one. I still really liked it. The author deals with emotions beautifully. The book deals with growing up, finding your sexuality, dealing with challenging relationships, and love.

It is absolutely beautifully written. It spans fewer years than the first but the flow is amazingly smooth as we go from day-to-day or year to year.

I highly recommend this if you like deeply involved relationships, strong ties with family, extended family, dealing with drug addiction, artists, coming of age and beautiful sensual man-sex.

Review: This is book six in this series but they each stand-alone perfectly. I do suggest you read them all, since they are all wonderful.

This book Detective Harry Snow  had just finished a hostage case and saw his ex-lover Tito on the corner making him think about how sad and lonely he is and how he wished things had been different for him and Tito.

Harry is assigned to a narcotics case and is asked to get Tito to help him solve it. Why did they break up? Who left whom? Will Tito help? I’ll let you read to find out.

I love this series. I like the emotional connections between the characters and the precise clean writing style of this author. It’s straight to the point. No flowery descriptions and no fluff. My only issue is that in my opinion the stories need to be a bit longer. I felt the last two the mysteries were a bit rushed. It’s a great build up then boom they are solved.

I recommend this if you like mystery suspense, police detectives, street racers, drug cartels, and deep emotional love stories!

Review: A very different take on the vampire tale. It is well written, easy to read and just a fun story from beginning to end.

This Vampire is five hundred years old, running his own business, bedding movie stars and general happy with his life. Then Luca gets the call that changes everything. He’s been hired to do an Italian funeral for a much loved opera singer. And the name of the man hiring him is all too familiar. But how could that be? This guy was the love of his life way back in the day, sixteenth century to be precise. And this love had left him to marry…a woman.

This funeral was going to be a trial for Luca, but the trouble starts well before he and his crew leave the States. Most of his crew can’t go for a variety of reasons, cookware goes missing and then Luca finds out that it is the same man he loved and lost so long ago. So is he going to get another chance at this man? Can Luca get past Franco wanting to appear as straight man and for Luc to have been the ‘bit on the side’ or as in those days they were called a courtesan? Can Luca survive driving in Italy, in one of the funnier scenes in the book?

Review:Simon and Jeremy have an open relationship. He knows Jeremy spends his three months with Max when he is in America; Jeremy is due home from Max’s in a week. Simon gets a big surprise one night when Max shows up needing a place to stay. But where is Jeremy? That is what Max and Simon both want to know.

I loved this story. I felt bad for both Simon and Max but as the story moves on I felt even worse for poor Max. The tension in this story is amazing and the sex is pretty hot. If you like a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat and some really hot sex this one is a must read.

I recommend this if you like short stories, open relationships, and threesomes.

Review: Wynn is an artist who caught something on camera that places him in danger. On the run, Wynn takes shelter in a small town and becomes close with the sheriff, Mick, but Wynn has a secret to hide and when his enemy catches up with him he has to disappear. Mick was intrigued by Wynn and when Wynn disappears, he hopes the man will return, but when Mick discovers Wynn’s secret he isn’t sure if he ever wants to see him again. Wynn returns to the small town having been unable to forget the sheriff, but just as the two men begin to reconnect an ex-lover of Mick’s causes trouble, and another man seeks revenge on Wynn. Can Wynn and Mick overcome the obstacles in their path to be together or will their pasts overcome their love?

This is a great story that has a touch of action with a paranormal thread through it. Wynn is a great character who lands himself in danger by catching something on camera that could put an end to his enemy. Mick is the local sheriff who helps Wynn out when Wynn needs a place to hide. Both men find themselves attracted to the other and they mildly flirt with each other before Wynn has to leave. But neither man can forget the other and they reunite, but Mick has found Wynn’s secret and they have a slight confrontation. Danger still lurks for them though and comes from unexpected angles.

Wynn and Mick’s relationship certainly has some ups and downs, it also has to overcome secrets and danger but they face it together and they make a wonderful couple. The storyline is really good and I really liked the simple shifter aspect; the story is of two men who both face danger falling in love and one of them just happens to be a shifter. The danger side of the story is great with it being kept pretty simple but happening a couple of times, the first time you know it is coming but the other two times it is unexpected and adds more excitement to the story. Wynn and Mick’s relationship is easy-going and nicely paced, they get to know each other before jumping into bed together and they are pretty hot when they eventually do.

I recommend this to those who like facing danger, a cheeky snow cat, great sex, wonderful characters, a great storyline and a sweet ending.

Review: This writer is clever! This wonderful short story follows Rob as he reflects on himself, sacrifices he makes for his career and his long-term relationship. The details of the tattoo design process and shop make me feel like I’m stepping up to the chair. The unique twist in the story slowly unfolds itself, but if you are paying attention you will be ready for that “aha” moment. Though I must say there was a moment, there I wanted to shake some sense into Rob! Great story, clever author! Grab it, and read it!
