Review: Will is out for revenge. He wants the twelve men who raided his parent’s yacht and murdered them to pay. While Will is luring pirates to their doom, Harold Marx boards his yacht to take him home to his uncle. But, Will has a few tricks up his sleeve to prevent it. Harold Marx is hired to bring Will home but he has secrets of his own to hide. When Will gives him the slip…again, he offers to help Will to get his pirates and the two become close.
You know the story-line is really good and the blurb had me hooked and the characters were interesting and I liked their backgrounds but they were just too young, Will is only 18 and Marx is 21, this story would have been better suited if they were at least in their mid – late twenty’s. Will has a very interesting background and it really is quite tragic and we have a couple of flashbacks. Marx we don’t really get that much background on but we do find out that he has a major secret that could affect his relationship with Will badly.
This story has a few interesting moments where I learned more about yachts than I thought I needed to know; honestly, I never even knew they had a safe room (citadel) on a yacht. Sometimes the story felt a bit disjointed and I didn’t really get the feeling that there was much connection between Will and Marx. The sex between them is quite hot, but I wondered for a while if there was even a spark of lust between them.
This author has a lot of potential but I think she had her characters too young in this one so I think that I will recommend this one to those who like modern pirates and a good story-line.
