Review: At the start of book two in the series, Ethan and Patrick have gone their separate ways. Patrick now has a new partner they get a case of buried bodies being disturbed and missing a few piece. Ethan is back to working solo on misdemeanors and sleeping around. He even gets involved with a woman. Meanwhile Patrick is going through a very rough patch with missing his mate and this is affecting his whole attitude

Ethan gets a case about with an old man and disturbances at his house. Everyone thinks he has dementia and there is nothing really there. Even Ethan thinks so, but he keeps going when the old man calls him. During all this, Ethan keeps having dreams and can barely sleep. Hence the sleeping around. He has no clue what is going on with him and his magic is now acting weird. His magically friends know but won’t tell him. He has no clue that he mated to Patrick and that the bound is causing side effects.

Eventually the two cases merge together and they figure out what is really going on. The effect of Patrick and Ethan working together again is immediate. The bound is there pulling them together. Ethan has no clue and Patrick is too afraid to say anything with them each thinking it was the other who walked away. As they solve the case things finally get a little more settled between them.

However, nothing it perfect yet. There are still many threads hanging and issues unresolved. There is still the question about what the hell Ethan’s father wants. The relationship with Patrick and Ethan is far from figured out.

I cannot wait until the final book. I need to get the answers to the questions I still have. So I will be patiently waiting for the final installment. *sigh* I hate waiting.
