Review: This book is part of a series and should be read in order.

The Talamachait have opened up a wormhole with Earth. In exchange for humans who may become mates to their warriors, the Talamachait are willing to help Earth with technology that will protect them from the world conquering Trabuk. Jake is one of the people who are brought in to help train fellow soldiers in hand-to-hand combat. When the first group of Talamachait come through the wormhole to meet the soldiers going to Terra Nova, the triplets leading the group realize Jake is their mate.

Rhada, Ruvia, and Rayed bring Jake their new mate through the wormhole to their world and proceed with the mating night. Never knowing that Jake was never informed about what the exchange was. It seems the powers that be on Earth never told the soldiers volunteering for the assignment what it truly was about. So the foursome have a bit of a learning curve to make their new relationship work. They need to blend the customs of both their worlds together to make the perfect union. During all this, they need to deal with the betrayals happening on both sides of the wormhole.

I really liked this one. The writing was fast paced. The sex scenes were steamy. And this world is getting more and more interesting. The simple misunderstanding between Jake and his mates are at times funny. The Talamachait are a very unique people. Very much a blending of cat and humanoid. They are both primitive and advanced. I like how Jake adapts to their way of life, but also blends in Earthling things, like PDA.

I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
