Blurb: Outlander Kell Laughlin has been charged with murder, and though Damian Junter is assigned to find him in Terra Noir, the bounty hunter has his doubts about his quarry’s guilt. Damian won’t kill an innocent, so he must find Kell and get to know him—and the truth—before dispensing justice. It’s a decision that will lead to passion between them and expose political intrigue in the ruling aristocracy, endangering their lives and changing the world Damian knows forever.

Review: This blurb had me intrigued about the story and I am both happy and disappointed. Damian is a big, tough, sexy bringer and he knows it, but the one thing he doesn’t know about is how he will react to Kell. Kell knows why this sexy bringer is after him, he just needs to show the guy the truth and well, if that doesn’t work…there’s always seduction.

I thought this book was great.   We have the big badass bringer who brings justice down on the guilty and we have the sexy outlander who isn’t quite what he seems.   I felt kinda sorry for Damian when he realized that those who employ him might not have been quite as honest as they seemed and so made him (maybe) commit a crime when he thought he committed justice; I also liked how he reacted to his attraction to Kell and how he dealt with it. These two coming together is passionate and intense.

Now to what disappointed me… IT WAS TOO SHORT, there was soooo much more that could have been built on, so much more that we could have found out and I wanted more.  The storyline was great and could have easily been made into a full length novel. Ah well, I can always hope.

So in truth I would recommend this as it is a great read even if it was too short for me.

  1. Pixie — Mahalo for reviewing my story and I’m so glad you liked it! I’ve gotten the “it’s too short” reaction before — and I have good news! Kell and Damian will soon make a reappearance. More of their story, and more sexy Kell and Damian goodness, will soon be revealed in the sequel THE REVOLUTIONARY, to be released by Dreamspinner!
