Review: This is a lovely little story about whimsy meeting intense. These two men are vastly different and yet they still manage to strike sparks off each other. This is a true opposites attract story. On the surface, there should be nothing to attract these men to each other since they are such polar opposites: Older/Younger; Artist/Mathematician; Whimsical/Realistic. It is, however, these differences, which provide them with similarities. They are both very committed and confident within their own skin and it is this that attracts them to each other.
Their romance builds slowly with dates and light caresses as the men get a chance to really know each other. It is in this knowledge that they both decide to make a huge gesture to each other at Christmas. Galen, because he wants Clifford to experience the wonder and joy he feels regardless of if it’s for Christmas or not. And Clifford, because he simply wants Galen to be happy.
The heart of this story is that both men have such great heart separately, together and for each other. And while the men are very different, the story lends itself to the belief that not only will they find their HEA, but also that they just might have the opportunity to build on it.
