Vincenzo is a witch with a short fuse, a sexy smile, and dirty mouth.

Life demands little from Vincenzo. Treasured by his mother and grandmother, protected by his coven, and blessed with precognitive skills, he grew up happy and carefree in his snug home by the bay.

Then a sexy Fae walks into his house to steal his beloved heirlooms, and into his dreams to steal his heart. Meanwhile, haunting visions of an unknown disaster on the horizon shake his secure world and force him to take responsibility for the first time in his life.

Now he must master his witchcraft, temper his impulsiveness, and listen to his heart.

Excerpt

The chalice rolled across the wood floor. A hand, masculine but delicate, like a pianist’s hand, reached out to stop it. A spike of fear shot through me and the image wavered. I took a deep breath and blew it out with intention at the ice bucket, rippling the water, and the image returned. Long fingers wrapped around the old chalice and picked it up, tucking it into an arm already loaded with treasures. My treasures: my grandfather’s pearl handled Athame, Mom’s leather-bound Book of Shadows, an old holed stone we used to burn incense, a shallow silver bowl. Anger rose, heating my face, but I tamped it down before it interfered with my concentration.

About

I am a reader and writer of romantic erotic fiction of all varieties. Sometimes, the little stories in my head just need to be shared (and sometimes they are just for me). I enjoy red wine, black rum, shell-hunting walks along the seashore, and solo late-night drunken dance parties.

Review: Vincenzo is a water witch who has ignored his powers for some time, living near the desert with his boyfriend for two years has had him neglecting his magic but after a confrontation with his boyfriend, and a vision of a mysterious man he returns to his family home next to the ocean and his roots. Salil waltzes into Vincenzo’s vision and dreams before he walks into his life, Salil has waited years for Vincenzo and hopes that the time has come to claim what is his, but first he has to convince Vincenzo that they were meant to be. Vincenzo has to take control of his magic and his visions before he will accept what his heart is telling him but a disaster has him questioning everything and his impulsive nature takes hold.

This is a great paranormal romance that is pretty gentle while adding in a touch of angst and danger. Vincenzo is thrown into turmoil when he has a vision of a man stealing his family’s heirlooms and his patience with his boyfriend runs out when his boyfriend makes a decision for the two of them. Returning home to the ocean Vincenzo faces challenges, challenges that will change his safe secure world. Salil is a fae whose own powers have him trying to protect Vincenzo in the only way he can, but knowing what is to come and not being able to mention it causes problems with Vincenzo.

Vincenzo faces his personal troubles with reluctance at first but with Salil’s direction and support he begins to regain the full control on his magic, his attraction to Salil blooms and their relationship grows stronger every day. Salil is an incredible character who is a steading presence for Vincenzo; he also has the patience of a saint especially when Vincenzo acts like a spoiled child. Together they are incredible, and their relationship travels at a steady pace. The story is great and while it is a paranormal with magic it isn’t huge magic, it is more of a gentle paranormal.

While I did enjoy this story and started out liking Vincenzo, he rapidly began to get on my nerves, pouting about having to practice with his magic and visions and burying his head in the sand about his connection to Salil and then spitting his dummy out over something Salil had no power to control *sigh* he just rubbed me up the wrong way, creating drama where none really existed. But, other than Vincenzo’s childishness I did really like this story, Salil is a warm, loving person and Vincenzo’s mother and Noni were strong characters, the story is an interesting one and I enjoyed seeing the reason for Salil’s actions and I really liked it when Salil’s and Vincenzo finally managed to make it work between them.

I recommend this to those who love gentle paranormal stories, fae and witches, overcoming personal hurdles, accepting life changes and a very happy ending.
