Review: Are you familiar with Sage Marlowe? If you haven’t experienced the pleasure of reading his stories, the Romeo and Julian series is an excellent place to start. A Thief on Christmas Eve is the first book, in most likely, a five book series. You will be introduced to the key players, their histories, and their backgrounds. As each piece of the puzzle comes together, you will be searching for more info in order to get the full picture. As the blurb explains this is written in one point of view.

This first book in the series is an introduction of the two MC’s Romeo and Julian. Julian Harris is a FBI agent who for three years has been gathering information on the elusive art thief Romeo. Up until now, no one has gotten close enough to learn anything too incriminating about him. All he really knows is that Romeo is charming, charismatic, and obviously very smart as he keeps evading capture. Julian feels he has enough info and has studied his actions enough that he knows where he will go for his next heist. One problem, however, it’s Christmas Eve. Manpower is limited due to the holiday, plus….No one really believes he will show. Julian decides to go anyway without back up. That’s how confidant he is of his next move.

It’s a blizzard outside, phone lines are down, and electricity is questionable. Julian can only hope that this goes as smoothly as possible. Calling for back up is out of the question and even if he did have someone to call, they wouldn’t make it very far with the severe weather conditions. Julian can’t worry himself with these details because Romeo has just entered the house. Julian is at a loss for words at first because Romeo is younger than he thought, better looking that he had pictured, and he has a killer smile that obviously works well for him.

Romeo is not your average thief. If he was, he would have been captured before now. Julian feels he can let his guard down because it’s a

known fact Romeo doesn’t carry firearms plus there is a blizzard coming down which means no one can get in so therefore no one can get out. Romeo uses these things to his advantage as well and it’s not long before he is seducing Julian. There is an instant attraction between them so what could it possibly hurt to take advantage of their situation. Kissing leads them to the bedroom where you will witness a very hot, intense, all night romp. For one night they have forbidden pleasure, they taste, explore, experience what each have to offer and when morning comes………..HE’S GONE. ROMEO IS GONE!!! How will Julian explain to his superiors that he let Romeo escape? Will he even tell them he showed? Julian made a connection that night and he is sure Romeo felt it too. Will he ever see him again? What happens next will have you holding your breath, while reading faster, to see where the story will lead.

Sage Marlowe will have you going thru twists and turns at warp speed never being completely sure where you may land. There is a real life feel of mystery and suspense that will have you gripping the sides of your electronic device. The author continually moves the plot forward giving details and descriptions that you can easily vision and relate too. As I stated earlier, this is a series so there will be several more books to follow taking us deeper and deeper inside the mystery that has been laid out here. I highly recommend getting your copy so you can experience this amazing journey Romeo and Julian, along with the author, Sage Marlowe, has set before us. The next book in the series is, A Talented Liar. I can’t wait to see what the next adventure brings.
