Review: Lucas is one hell of a mystery and horror author, but his communication skills suck. He wants total isolation to write and has a sweet cabin I would love to have. His isolation is disturbed by a sexy man and his daughter. Jamie pretty much puts his car in the ditch, in the middle of nowhere and heads for the light he sees. His daughter is a cutie pie but the man who answers leaves him with questions.
It is a very cute little Christmas story, but I would have dumped Lucas on his head. It had quite a bit in it and that was surprising, since it was such a short story. Fun little read for warming your heart on a cold winter’s day.
I enjoyed reading it, but can’t really see myself doing it more than once though. It was cute but didn’t call to me like it should have.

Blurb: An unbreakable curse.
England overrun by monsters.
Two men locked in a losing battle.
England, 1915.
Jonah Valliant longs for active service, but is stuck making coffee for the local officers. A year ago, the world erupted into magical chaos. No one knows why Britain is overrun by fearsome worms, magical creatures whose gaze turns men to stone, or how to stop them. When Jonah loses his temper with Wing Commander Mallory, he has no idea that picking a quarrel with the wizard may lead to Britain’s salvation–or its destruction.
Augustus Mallory carries more than the weight of the war effort on his shoulders. He’s the last of the Mallory wizards, feared for their power, arrogance and the dark family curse. He knows losing his heart to Jonah endangers everything Mallory cares about—but Jonah may possess the key to defeating the worms once and for all. His only hope: staving off his doom long enough to learn the secret behind the Quickening.

Review: I found both Jonah and Mallory adorable in the way they handled their feelings for one another. Jonah for his part was a great asset in determining when worms were near due to his injury. Mallory was unapproachable at times due to the way he acted around others. But when explained the why of it I understood.
The so called curse left me confused. The explanation is that previous family members reacted negatively with rejection. Well that means they can not handle rejection and took matters into their own hands so I did not understand why it was labeled a curse. This is why Mallory stayed away from Jonah at the beginning. I think he let what happened to others influence him into thinking he should be alone forever instead of taking a chance at love.
It was a good read with plenty of action and creatures attacking as well as magic and finding ones self in the process.

Review: Frank keeps a strict rule at the club, no dating coworkers or club members. Keep your hands to your self and you stay. However Seth and Kit are about to break that rule.
Short, sweet and sexy are just a few things about this story. I would have love to know more about Frank and his rules but it was still a good read. I am not nor have I ever been a fan of short stories. This gives you a taste when you want a full meal. It is a good story for when you are taking a break or just need a hot story to read.

Review: This is a short story strictly for those who have been reading, have read or will read Shae Connor’s series, Sons.
This is a nice, quick holiday story that ties together the loose ends (imagined or real) from the 3 books and the 2 couples and trio which were the MCs of the stories. Evan and Riley’s story was in book 1, Mikey, Cory and Jimmy’s story was book 2 and Shaun and Con’s story finished off the series in book 3.
It’s not entirely vital to read but it’s just a nice way to ensure everyone’s HEA and end a wonderful series.

Review: This is a well written short story. This was like reading someone’s fantasy or a post in Literotica. It’s only fifteen pages, but I could not stop reading what would happen next.
There is little backstory or anything to blog it down. You get the general reason Max has walked into the establishment and moves right into the action. The damn sexy and very erotic action.
All in all, a very good and enjoyable read for those who like a little something to fuel a fantasy of their own.

Review: Wow…emotions much??
In this novella, we get a closer glimpse of the pain and agony George and Jesse were going through when Jesse’s wife was insisting on keeping them separated. The emotions were off the charts and so hard to read. It made me physically ache for them.
Kennedy’s pain from finally losing Jesse was bought more to life here too. She actually finds comfort and a good friend in Zac, Jesse’s brother and I really think he’s what helps her start healing.
We also got a closer look at Zac. He is awesome! He has absolutely no filter and pretty much says and does what he wants (which right now, and hopefully permanently, is Elliott). I absolutely love him and Elliott together – they balance each other well and maybe Zac will get Elliott back to life and get him to live a little more and once and for all protect him from his awful father.
All this book did is wet my appetite for book 4! I want it right now!

Review: This is my favorite story in this series because….well Gunny and Mac, that says it all, nothing to add. They’re hot and sexy as sin. They’re an established couple and retired marines.
This book starts with some sexy lovin’ but immediately changes into a surprising and hilarious visit from Mac’s parents (there might have been a stubborn vibrating dildo that refused to be turned off). I loved Mac’s mother and the easy acceptance she shows Gunny and Mac.
As a present for their honeymoon, Mac turns Gunny’s fantasy into a reality when he takes him for a visit to Guards of Folsom. Gunny likes to submit when he needs to clear his head and the visit is a huge turn on for both of them. We also get to catch up with the cast from the previous books and I enjoyed seeing the subs being their normal bratty selves.
Mac and Gunny are both alpha men, strong and courageous, dedicated and passionate. I LOVED how they couldn’t get enough of each other even though they’ve been together for 20+ years. They are the best example that gay men can love hard, fight hard, can definitely serve in the military, and are dependable people.
Let’s not forget the bit where they show that they can definitely fuck even harder because that was sexy as hell. They’re also not afraid to show their affection for one another and cuddle at every given opportunity.
I didn’t want this book to end because you know…Gunny & Mac. They’re the real deal and I want more. Definitely recommended, don’t lose the opportunity to get to know some seriously awesome men.

Their doorstep attraction seems mutual, so asking Patrick out on a date should be easy. There’s just one problem—Jim could fit all the pick-up lines he knows on the back of a postage stamp.
As Christmas approaches, Jim knows the end of Patrick’s postal-delivery contract is looming. Taking a chance might be worth it if it keeps Patrick coming to his door.

Review: What happens when Guy #1 and Guy #2 both like each other and are BOTH a bit on the shy introverted side?
Some blushing, some mild flirting, perhaps some extra ordering of items to bring said deliveryman to the house yet again. A bit over the top, maybe, but it works. Jim and Patrick are absolutely adorable, and when they do come together, they are definitely sexy.
A short and sweet, low angst read for when you need that feel-good, ‘will-they-won’t-they-get-it-together’ feeling, that easy ride to the sexy parts and the HEA.
This holiday gift from Jay Northcote to her readers, is a cute little freebie, and I would definitely recommend for some warm fuzzies and a smile.

Review: This is the second book in this series and you should start with book one. It will tell you about the men and how they ended up together. I have to tell you that it was a blast to read it. Alex, who is richer than sin, could not let the opportunity pass him by. Now stuck in a blizzard away from his man, he might end up regretting that. Thank god for the strange motel but on Christmas Eve there are many miracles just waiting to happen. One especially if it saves him from his man Jesse killing him.
This was a blast to read and I look forward to many more with Alex and Jesse in them. They are a hot couple with very tempting sex between them. It was a cute little story and was perfect for the holidays. I love the magical way to this particular book and can see it become a favorite during Christmas time.

Review: This is part of the Wolves of New Haven series and they should be read in order. Each story focuses on a new romantic couple. For me it gives me an insight into the characters and their lives. Peter has wanted Fabio but never though the man even knew he was alive. Boy was he in for a big surprise. Fabio has always wanted his mate.
So much story in a small and explosive package. This was a blast to read even if it was way too short for me. However, I am glad that Peter got the perfect Christmas present ever. He is a funny little wolf with a lot of attitude. He gives Fabio hell and I loved it. Amazing story and I look forward to reading more in this series.

A malevolent power is attacking London’s bright young things, and the only clue to what’s happening is written in ancient Egyptian script. Feximal clearly suspects the worst of Whyborne – and his flirtatious sidekick seems to think a great deal too well of Griffin…

Review: I think this is like my fantasy match-up! Jordan Hawk and K.J. Charles get together to write a short story that combines their captivating, mystery solving, sorcery-filled series!
As Percival Whyborne crosses the Atlantic in search of documents and research on an Egyptian dig that his co-worker Doctor Putnam is working on, he, as usual, stumbles into trouble. In the form of the domineering and scary ghost hunter/sorcerer Simon Feximal.
Simon thinks Whyborne is dangerous and up to no good, and it takes his partner Robert and Griffin to convince him otherwise. While these two couples seem to have a lot in common, both Whyborne and Feximal seem to have a distinct distrust and even rivalry.
Insecure once more, Whyborne isn’t happy with the fast friendship that develops between Robert and Griffin, and this element plays into the plot very nicely. All of us Griffin fans know better, he’s wrapped around Percival’s talented spell casting fingers!
Back to the plot…yes something dark is happening again, and it involves sorcery. Once Feximal figures out it isn’t Whyborne behind the dark deeds, they work together to solve the murders and handle the dark magic and dark sorcerer behind them. Another very Hitchcock-like feel to the whole story.
While the Whyborne and Griffin series is much more developed, the two fit together seamlessly as this is written as a set of journal entries. We see things both from Robert Caldwell and alternately Percival Whyborne’s point of view. Plenty is known about Whyborne if you’ve read the series, and many very tasty details about Simon Feximal are sprinkled in among the plot that leads me to want to know so much more about Caldwell and Feximal!
I love both of these series, and would love to see another joint effort in the future! I love the way they leave the respect/reflect relationship between Whyborne and Feximal. I have the feeling that while they have finally come to respect each other, trust and irritation keep that fire burning hotly. They make a great dynamic alongside their partners Griffin and Robert who get along smashingly well.

Blurb: Undercover agent Alex Kley is a long way from home. Six months of investigation have brought him to Willow House, a high-class brothel on Omanai Station, as beautiful on the outside, as it is corrupt on the inside. Sold into sexual slavery to infiltrate an illegal prostitution ring, Alex must find the evidence he needs to bring down the leader of a powerful criminal cartel—a man who may not even be human.
Illythe, the manager of Willow House, is a long way from freedom. The jet-skinned beauty with the face of an angel walks the halls of Willow House with serenity and authority, but underneath his cold and beautiful facade, Illythe is as much a slave as any of the young men working in the brothel.
In an undercover operation, falling in love is the worst thing an agent can do, but Illythe is a mystery that Alex can’t resist.
It doesn’t take long for Alex to realize that Illythe is not in his role by choice. Yet Illythe holds the holds the information Alex needs. The more Alex learns, the clearer it becomes that when the cartel falls, Illythe will be buried in the rubble.
In the end, Alex must make a choice: save Illythe and forfeit the mission, or leave him behind in a place where willows won’t grow.

Review: There are, in my opinion, three kinds of books. Those that you read and forget or dislike the ones that leave no real impact on you. Then there’s the comfort category, the ones you read and love, that feel like coming home. But there are a few, a very few, that are higher than that. They challenge you, evoke emotions, and leave you marked. For me, Where Willows Won’t Grow is one of the third.
This was not an easy book to read, it was not pleasant at times, and there were moments I was certain that happy would be the furthest thing from possible for the characters. I was not reading, I was experiencing. Emoting. Swept away in an unblinking, no-holds-barred exploration of darkness and, by contrast, the faintest glimmer of light.
Alex Kley is not a good man. Working undercover in the Sex Crimes division of the Office of Federation Security, he did whatever he had to do for the case. A rich kid who’d found a practical application for a penchant for partying, casual sex, and the occasional exotic drug, his years with the department had started to wear on his soul. When an extremely dangerous mission comes up, one which another officer hadn’t come back from, Alex is sent far from the reach of backup to find the elusive head of a prostitution ring.
From the first paragraph, we are thrown into the spiraling sense of hopelessness and desperation. This is not a fluffy novel, nor is it the sweet kind of BDSM where there are safe words and fantasy. It has graphic rape scenes, strong allusions to childhood abuse, and more than a little violence. But there is a deftness to the way Lia Black handles every moment. Everything has a purpose. Nothing feels gratuitous even in the midst of the horror.
When Alex first sees Illythe, he thinks of him as a dark angel. And truly, that’s what he becomes. Illythe is a captured warrior prince, broken and molded into an obedient slave by truly one of the most grotesque and horrifying villains I’ve ever read. His backstory alone had my gut clenching; it makes you love the character more the more you realize the terror of his life.
Honestly, I don’t want to tell you about the plot. I want you to unpeel it, layer by layer, as I did. This was a story that I consumed in huge gulps, completely unable to look away from the page. I will tell you that it ends, as it should have, in a way that, looking back, is the only way it could have. I shed tears at a perfect moment at the end, realizing that the author had given me, and the character, resolution I hadn’t even known I craved.
I’ve never read Lia Black before. Trust me, I will again. This is a story that, in lesser hands, would have been wretched. There is no way anyone but a master could have pulled this kind of horror and darkness and twisted terror out and yet balanced it so gracefully with hope and light.
I loved this story. The fact that it is sitting free on Amazon rather than gracing bestseller shelves astounds me. This book will be staying with me for a very long time.

Blurb: Dear Author,
I’d always considered myself sort of asexual up until now. In high school, no one interested me and I was too busy with schoolwork to date anyway. I figured I didn’t have a big sex drive or I just hadn’t met the right girl. However, the more time I spend with my roommate, Ben, the more I’m reconsidering everything.
The more he walks around half-dressed the more I keep noticing him. Even if I am attracted to him, who I’m not sure that I am, I don’t think he would be into me. He seems like the type of guy that girls flock to. He couldn’t be interested in me, could he?
Requests: Clearly, I’m angling for a gay-for-you here, folks! It can be a double or single GFY, lots of sexual tension (please!), slow build romance, lots of heat. I would rather no BDSM but some light stuff wouldn’t bother me.
Photo Description:
The photo is of a muscular guy in his early 20’s with smooth tan skin and dark brown hair that is combed back to spike up. He is standing behind a vacuum cleaner in a pair of blue boxer briefs with a grin on his face in what appears to be a bedroom and the picture seems to be candid.
This story was written as a part of the M/M Romance Group’s “Love’s Landscapes” event. Group members were asked to write a story prompt inspired by a photo of their choice. Authors of the group selected a photo, prompt that spoke to them, and wrote a short story.

Review: Solomon, Solo, has never really identified himself as being gay. He’s never had a boyfriend, or a girlfriend for that matter. He has dated girls, held hands, and even kissed one once. But more so to fit in with what his friends in school were doing. When he gets to college, he and his roommate instantly click and become best friends. Just normal guy stuff at the start. But then Solo finds himself noticing Ben more and more, little things, like the fact that Ben prefers being naked to clothed.
Ben is an exhibitionist of sorts. At least, where his roommate is concerned. I don’t think he intentionally tried to get a rise out of Solo. He’s just not ashamed of his body and enjoys the attention that people pay it. Over time, though something grows inside him. He finds himself attracted to Solo. Where the two have always been very flirtatious by nature, it’s never been a serious attraction or invitation to Solo to pursue. But late night mutual jack off sessions and some pretty sexy dreams are about to change all that.
I’m not entirely convinced that this is a GFY story. I think this is more of a story of two young men that identify as being attracted to each other, and that coupled with the strong bond of friendship, love and trust that they have for each other already just make that next step a no brainer.
Jayson James writing style is not for everyone. It’s very raw, realistic and young at heart. While there were a few things lacking here and there throughout the story, overall I loved the way these characters were portrayed. And for the reviewers complaining about the lack of sex, you do realize that James writes Gay YA, don’t you? Not every book in the genre has to be full of lust and passion. Sometimes young men are just getting their footing and wrapping their brain around their attraction to another guy.
Great job Jayson! Loved the story, loved the cover and I can’t wait to see more from these two young men.

Dr. Jordan Mackenzie has been alone, focused on his career and raising his son, for many years. He’s fine with that until one prickly young man’s intriguing quirks trigger a sudden need to take care of someone in an entirely different manner.
Calvin Sherbrook has issues. He knows it, and he can live with it. He’s just decided it’s better for everyone involved if he keeps to himself. And he might have succeeded too, if it wasn’t for one particularly hot veterinarian, a crazy old lady and her meddling dog.

Review: Jordan Mackenzie is an openly gay single father with a thriving Veterinarian practice. He hasn’t really given much thought to dating, perfectly happy with his life as is. That is until Winston, the bulldog, decides to play matchmaker.
Mack definitely looks twice when Calvin Sherbrook walks into his office, but the big man is a loner with an attitude, so Mack avoids the attraction. But Winston won’t have it. The adorable bulldog seems hell-bent on making sure that Mack and Cal end up together.
This story was a little bit all over the place, but the premise was so unique that it kept me intrigued. Mack is obviously a Dom and though Cal is initially portrayed as the bigger, dominating personality type, he turns out to be the submissive personality after all. It’s when they each let down their guard and truly open up to the other that they are the sexiest. But ultimately, Mack’s son’s best friend and the gay match making gay bulldog stole the show! No, I’m not trying to confuse you, grab a copy and see what I’m talking about. It’s free!
A little more cohesion to the overall story and just a skoch more development to Mack and Cal’s back-story would have given this one higher marks. But overall, it’s just a fast fun read that I think you’ll enjoy.

Review: Short, Sexy and Steamy… Why yes, yes those are my three favorite colors!
Ash and Pete are consistently moving forward in their ever-evolving relationship. Ash has never been willing to use the term “gay” when describing his sexuality. But everything that has happened with him and Pete this last year coupled with the love he feels for him and some deep self-exploration, he finally admits that gay is exactly what he is. And he couldn’t be happier. To prove to Pete just how content he is with their relationship he offers his lover a piece of himself he’s kept guarded, until now.
Pete realizes the depth of what Ash is giving him and he doesn’t take it lightly, in fact, it takes a couple of weeks before Pete agrees. The result is some wickedly fantastic, toe curling, spine tingling sex on their roof top garden.
This novella is the perfect ending for this series. It brings the rough, sometimes ragged, and sometimes beautiful journey of Ash and Pete full circle, as Ash finally fully gives himself to Pete. With just a few words, Leigh was able to convey so much emotion from these characters. The descriptive of sight, sound, and touch were splendid.
These books read similar to the relationship of the main characters. Started out rocky and grew more solid with time and energy. Definitely worth the read! If you feel like you’re missing something after the first book, keep going, it comes full circle and makes complete sense in the end.
