Blurb: Synesthesia isn’t always a useful gift for a recording engineer, as Graham reveals during a film interview for Noah’s documentary on the topic. Synesthetics are people who see music. Some see colors or shapes in the notes they hear. Graham’s a little out of the ordinary — he sees images. Often, entire scenes play out before his eyes.

Graham’s come up against a stumbling block because of his synesthesia. In the bizarre death metal tracks he’s working on, the devil’s eyes appear at every turn. He’s scared stiff, and if he’s afraid to listen to them, how will he ever get the tracks edited?

As Noah and Graham discover, confronting the devil’s eyes is a job for two.

Review: Graham is being interviewed for a documentary on Synesthesia.  He finds the film-maker cute, but knows he won’t make a move unless he can overcome his inhibitions.

This is one weird little book and I still think it’s weird after reading it twice. Graham is synesthetic (ability to see colors/pictures when listening to music and sounds) and agrees to an interview.  After the interview is finished he invites the film-maker to hang around.  Graham has some intense visions while listening to death metal tracks.

This has got to be the weirdest story that I have ever come across. Even though I had never heard of Synesthesia before I read this, I did check up on it and think that the author took some license with it to give us the visions that Graham suffers from.

The visions produced by the death metal seem to be Graham’s own inner-self and it draws him out to do something he wouldn’t normally do… take what he wants. Luckily for Graham, Noah seems to want the same thing.

I will recommend this to those who like Dark temptation and a well written description of the hallucination that leads to intense, smutty, erotic and slightly kinky sex.
