Haunted Hotties Vol 01
Kiernan Kelly, Laney Cairo, Alex Cohen, Katey Hawthorne, Jamie Jennings, Aaron Michaels, Jacey Mills, L.J. Hamlin, Shira Glassman, Sheri Velarde, Kassandra Lea, Mychael Black
This Halloween collection has a little something for everybody. With demons, ghosts, psychics, reapers, shifters, and witches… a rainbow of paranormal/supernatural is included.
In Nine-Tenths of the Law by Kiernan Kelly, Oliver discovers he has a haunted sex toy. In Bear Hugs by Laney Cairo, Martin’s boyfriend might be bear shifter and apparently that’s news to him. In Houdini’s Masquerade by Alex Cohen, when Lila meets a succubus, everything changes. In Præsidium by Katey Hawthorne, Thackeray needs helps from a witch who won’t help him until he explains his demon. In Black Cat by Jamie Jennings, when a cat shifter can see ghosts, Micah’s simple life suddenly isn’t. In Haunted Honeymoon by Aaron Michaels, Dylan and Jake seem to be sharing their non-honeymoon with a couple of ghosts.
In And the Tarot Cards Said by Jacey Mills, an insistent ghost shouldn’t be too much to handle for psychic Vassily and his Tarot-reading assistant Ben. In Spirit Wolf by L.J. Hamlin, when Dawson rescues an injured wolf shifter, it’s not just his book that gets worked on while getting back to nature. In Wet Nails by Shira Glassman, it’s not every day a glamorous ’50s actress comes out of a TV but lonely grad student Adina isn’t complaining. In Possessed by Love by Sheri Velarde, a storm trapping them together gives Andrew and Damian the chance they’ve been waiting for. In The Last Night by Kassandra Lea, Eric gets one night a year and he always picks one particular Halloween. In Molly by Mychael Black, Detectives Cameron and Chase discover the murderer plaguing their city is more sinister than they could have known and not entirely human.

From Nine-Tenths of the Law by Kiernan Kelly
Let me set the scene for you. There I was, on my bed, naked, my asshole greased, and the butt plug inserted in it as far as possible, angled to hit my prostate, the vibrating option turned on. I was fisting my cock, rock hard and slick with lube, edging so close to orgasm my balls felt ready to pop.
“Fuck, it’s dark in here.”
I believe I may have completely levitated off the mattress. I know my hard-on wilted like an ice sculpture in a microwave. Scanning the bedroom, I looked for an intruder, but could see no one.
“Tight, too. I always did love a tight, hot ass.”
The speaker was British; the voice, deep and sexy, and coming from right behind me. I spun around in a circle a few times, trying to catch the person I assumed could only be a machete-wielding-chainsaw-brandishing-serial killer that happened to have a silky, dark chocolate voice, but I couldn’t see anyone. As far as I could discover, I was alone, which of course meant I’d imagined the voice.
“What are you doing, Olivier? Stop it at once. You’re making me dizzy.”
Olivier? No one had called me that in years, not since… Hearing the old nickname was shocking enough to leach the fear out of me for a minute. It took me another full sixty seconds to realize the deliciously decadent voice was not only real, but also somewhat familiar, and more importantly, coming from my ass.
That’s when I finally fainted.

Review: Now Halloween has a new meaning to me. I don’t think I laughed so hard as I did with these stories. There are a few authors that are new to me, but I have to say they did pretty damn good. These stories are quirky, fun and exactly what one needs to just have a laugh at the end of the day. The characters were well written and had a lot of depth to them. I do hope though that they turn around and make these longer stories for me. I would love to hear more about these guys. Now I am not one for books that have females in them but got to give Lila and Adina their due. They are definitely quirky female that is for sure.
Nine-Tenths of the Law by Kiernan Kelly ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts
For Oliver, life is simple — work, eat, sleep, and occasionally spend a little quality time with his right hand and a favorite sex toy. When his butt plug develops a life of its own, however, simplicity goes out the window and complications swarm in.
To be in the act and all of a sudden his butt plug starts talking to him. And to be none other than a dead college friend, has got to be a blast. Although this story does have a bit of pain in it that will have you in tears. This was fun to read and I had a blast with it.
Bear Hugs by Laney Cairo ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts
A true story about the transformative power of love. (And also where the fur in the bed is from, what bears really do in the woods, and how to be a sidekick.)
Hot damn a boyfriend that changes in to a big cuddly bear. What fun that would be. This was fun to read and I had a blast with it.
Houdini’s Masquerade by Alex Cohen ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts
Lila is determined to enjoy Halloween to the fullest; it’s her one night to cut loose. The light-hearted plans hatched with her roommates are derailed when a charming succubus catches her eye.
Now this was a really good story so it deserves a five heart review, however females just creep me out. Tasha and Lila were a shocking pair that is for sure. I like the little added twist to Lila though.
Præsidium by Katey Hawthorne ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts
Hallowe’en is a busy time for demon hunting, but Thackeray has a haunting of his own that gives him the edge. Absolutely worth it — until the case drops a pretty witch named Matt into his lap. Hard to hook up with a demon over your shoulder.
At first I thought it was to kill a demon, but then Thackeray seemed to want to call one. Weird if I say so, but it was a fun little story. Although I have to tell you it is a bit dark to me.
Black Cat by Jamie Jennings ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts
Nico has the power to shapeshift into a cat, and he can see ghosts. He does his best to get by without using his powers, but can’t ignore the plight of a hapless nurse.
To be a cat shifter sounds like a fun way to live and then for Nico to see ghost is amazing. I had so much fun reading about him and Micah. I liked this one the best so far.
Haunted Honeymoon by Aaron Michaels ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts
Aaron Michaels, An unexpected getaway to a quirky motel on the Oregon coast sounds like the perfect nonhoneymoon honeymoon for newlyweds Dylan and Jake. Even if rumor has it, the place is haunted.
Now I must say going on your honeymoon to a haunted house might be a bit much to me. However it would also be fun. I had a bit of fun with this story and look forward to more by this author.
Tarot Cards Said by Jacey Mills ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts
A ghost is coming to town. Can psychic Vassily and his assistant Ben deal with the ghost and find true love?
Well I wouldn’t know what to do with a ghost even if he did come to town. This was a fun read and I would definitely want to see more by this author. The guys were a blast also.
Spirit Wolf by L.J. Hamlin ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts
When famous mystery writer and panther shifter, Dawson Ray, suffers from writer’s block, his agent thinks getting back to nature will help. The moment he enters the cabin in the forest though, Dawson feels watched.
I love stories that have shifters in it and this one is no dfferent. I had fun with this book and look forward to reading more by
Wet Nails by Shira Glassman ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts
Lonely grad student Adina Greenberg is in for a treat when the glamorous ghost of Rose Hamilton, her favorite 1950s Hollywood actress, comes out of the television to give her a manicure and great sex.
This one was not really calling to me like it should have. However it was a fun little story that defintely has a great little story. The reason it was not for me however was the girls but it was fun. I think if someone came out of a tv to play with, I would run for cover.
Possessed by Love by Sheri Velarde ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts
The storm of the century shut down Old Town, but things are just heating up at the Church Street Café. Andrew and Damian seem possessed by lust, but they aren’t complaining.
What is better than paranormal’s is when you add in a big storm. It was a fun read and I had a blast with it.
The Last Night by Kassandra Lea ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts
As a reaper Eric Storm is allowed the privilege of reliving one day every year. So he makes sure that he gets to spend Halloween night with Timothy Fields, the only man he has ever loved.
A reaper is a big surprise. I don’t think I have read any stories that have one in it. I had fun with this story and the guys are hot. I loved it.
Molly by Mychael Black ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts
A string of murders is plaguing the city, and it’s up to Detectives Cameron Marshall and Chase Ward to find the murderer. What they find, however, is more frightening than anything they ever expected.
Now this one I would have loved to give it more than five hearts. I love men with guns and uniforms, sexy to say the least. I also love the little danger added in. I had fun with this story and look forward to reading more by this author.
Overall ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts
This was one fun anthology to read and I look forward to seeing more books by these authors. It is a fun book that definitely caught my attention and kept it all the way to the end. Even more surprising was the books with the females as the main characters, because I can’t stand books that are not male on male. They were fun to read although I don’t think I would switch to females in my books. So overall this was one hell of a book and I would definitely recommend it.
