Blurb: Both men know the last thing they should do is become lovers, but the attraction between them is hot and instantaneous, and burning totally out of control.
Connor MacMahon, a colonel in the United World Defense, is sent on a top-secret mission to the planet of Sanctum. In his hands is the fate of the Earth.
Storm Varek, the leader of a clandestine resistance group doesn’t intend to watch as his people are slaughtered by their mortal enemy. Storm suspects that the United World Defense League doesn’t care about Sanctum’s inhabitants.
When Connor and Storm meet, there is no misunderstanding about where they stand. They don’t trust each other. The last thing they should do is become lovers but the heat between them is burning out of control.
Review: I did not get that these men were enemies. As soon as they meet they are attracted to one another and shortly begin to have sex. The UWD lied to Connor as his mission was only to protect the ATC and not the inhabitants of Sanctum. I was really glad he disobeyed orders when the Deino came for the inhabitants who were once apart of their community but escaped due to anyone found with the same sex was put to death.
Storm was fearless in his opposition to UWD and their deceit as as the Deino. I think I loved his character the most out of all of them. Fast paced with action, drama and a lot of sex.

For the two mismatched detectives, is the 77th Precinct a nightmare or their destiny?
Review: This is a bit of a funny and quirky story by AJ Llewellyn and DJ Manly.
After being caught with his pants down (with the boss’s son, no less), celebrated New Orleans homicide detective Montana Delray is punished by being sent down to the precinct (the 77th) where all the crazies work (I’m sure there’s a nicer way I could say that but that’s the thing). Down at the 77th precinct Montana meets some rather interesting characters, including Joe Hunter – aka Crazy Joe – who is a psychic.
This was a fun story with rather bizarre circumstances revolving around the crime in the main plot. But really, it made the story funnier. Montana is an ordinary sort of guy thrown into extraordinary circumstances. After being a strait-laced sort of guy he’s been thrown in the land of the crazies.
There is definitely some sexual sparks between Montana and Joe but the romantic side of the story is rushed compared to the “policing” part of the story. That was a bit disappointing, I’d like more relationship about how these two oddballs fit together.
This is a quirky and totally funny quick(ish) read. Those not familiar with the authors’ their writing style or story structure will probably be a little disappointed by the distinct lack of a definite HEA ending, and as I said earlier the romance was rushed.
However, fans of AJ Llewellyn and DJ Manly will certainly enjoy the story and will expect the rushed nature of the story.

Title: Terrance, 2nd edition Series: The Severing, #2 Author: D.J. Manly Genre: Paranormal/Ghosts Length: Novel (149 pages) Publisher: MLR Press (January 2015) Heat Level: Moderate Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥5Hearts Blurb: Terrance’s communication with the dead leads him to some surprising discoveries.
Terrance is happy with Alex, and for the first time, the voices in his head seem low and far away. Then they begin again, horrifying images fill his mind, as a small boy calls to him. No matter what, Terrance needs to follow that voice.
But can he trust it? Is it really the voice of a small boy in trouble, or the voices from hell itself?
Review: An intense, emotional, powerful story about Terrance who can see and speak to the dead. Unlike the last book, this time is more sinister. He’s dealing with not only someone calling out for help but having to battle the demons trying to prevent him from finding the truth.
I really enjoyed the whole book even though it was dark. I felt horrified at what was being done to those children. The details of Terrance’s dreams and visions were intense and scary. I think Terrance is a very strong young man to do what he does especially having been through what he did when he was a child.
Very well written journey of a man who does what he has to do to save a son he never knew he had no matter the cost. Fantastic book in The Severing series.
Highly recommended.

To make matters worse, Andrew is scheduled to work in emergency with a doctor his uncle considers brilliant, but Andrew finds irreverent and unprofessional.
Without any alternative, Andrew goes to work under the wing of the notorious, yet devastatingly attractive and charming, Dr. Ray. Review: I really enjoyed seeing how Andrew changed for the better after being around Ray and watching how he interacted with his patients. It seemed to be a great learning experience even though Andrew didn’t really want to be there to begin with.
Ray seemed like a very caring man. Especially when he helped those who couldn’t afford it by giving them examinations and medicines, they needed at no charge. I thought it was so sweet. Ray’s past tragedy was really sad and heartbreaking.
The entire story was well written and a wonderful read. It seemed in the story that some things happened for a reason even though Andrew didn’t see the reason right away. I loved how Andrew and Ray seemed perfect for one another but at the same time, they also had their own issues to work out along the way. Fantastic read.
Highly recommended.

Title: Andre Series: Risky Business AmberPax Collection Author: D.J. Manly Genre: Dark Fantasy/ Vampire Length: Novella (79 pages) Publisher: Amber Allure, Amber Quill Press (July 30th, 2014) Heat Level: Moderate Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥4Hearts Blurb: From the moment he sees a photograph of Dalton Manor, a 17th-Century estate located in the picturesque English countryside, Joel Howard knows he must stay there while on vacation, in spite of the lack of nightly distraction to be had in London’s gay village.
After arriving in England with his friend Shelley, Joel immediately arranges to visit the grand estate, and during a tour, he sets eyes on the portrait of the handsome Patrice Dumont and his lovely young bride, Rosalie, the owners of the manor three hundred years ago.
Joel cannot explain the emotion he feels as he stares at the portrait, or his particular obsession with an ash tree he views on the property later that night. He also can’t explain why the ancient estate seems to talk to him, literally, or why the ghostly voice coming from inside the walls keeps calling him by the name of Andre.
As the moments tick by, Joel comes ever closer to the edge of danger and soon learns the answers to his questions…in every horrifying detail…
Review: A beautifully written story of a love so strong not even death could break it. Patrice Dumont married a woman at their families insistence. A few years into the marriage he falls in love with a gypsy named Andre. Unfortunately, his wife Rosalie, who is a powerful witch, finds out and has Andre hung. Stricken with grief Patrice tells his wife he’ll never love her. She curses Patrice and he remains buried underground for hundreds of years until Joel sets him free.
I was appalled at what lengths Rosalie went to in order to keep Patrice hers. She seemed a little demented to me in thinking she’d get Patrice to love her if she did away with Andre. Not to mention the curse she put on Patrice.
Joel started hearing and seeing things as soon as he arrived at Dalton Manor. I was in awe at the breathtaking details of the manor as well as Joel be able to see different things that had happened in the past. Hot and passionate sex added a spicy element. Great read.

Title: Permanent Moonlight Series: Rough Riders, #4 Author: A. J. Llewellyn / D. J. Manly Genre: Romantic Suspense Length: Novella (116 pages) Publisher: Amber Allure, Amber Quill Press (July 30, 2014) Heat Level: Moderate Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥3 ½ Hearts Blurb: When Diego Champagne realizes that he can’t live without Colby Young, he comes up with a plan that will free him from the Banni motorcycle gang forever. He’s prepared to leave everything behind and make a new life for the man he loves and the children for which Colby is now responsible. But he can tell no one, not even Colby, if he hopes to carry it off.
Colby’s having problems accepting that if he’s to remain the guardian of his niece and nephew, he must stay clear of the Banni, and that means Diego. Given Colby’s past, he’s being watched like a hawk, and not just by Child Protection Services. Then Colby’s world spirals out of control when a member of the Banni informs Colby that they found Diego’s body burnt beyond recognition, along with his vest and bike. Miserable and angry at the world, Colby ends up in more trouble, his entire world held together by a thread.
Meanwhile, Diego must fulfill a promise to the leader of the Texas Crushers, who ironically helps him escape from the Banni life. Putting miles and time between him and the man he loves, Diego sets the wheels in motion that will prepare the stage for a crime-free life with Colby and the children. Question is, how will he tell Colby he’s not dead, and will Colby ever forgive him for keeping the truth from him?
Review: I probably should have added this to my review of book 1 in the series, Artificial Moonlight, I’m not drawn to the Sons of Anarchy/ biker gang genre. That said, I’m not against the genre it’s just not usually a topic I seek out. I will say that the plotline is incredibly intriguing and it stayed that way right to the end of this one. I loved the whole idea that not only Diego and Colby but many of the supporting characters, Nuts and Jerry to name a couple, are a perfect blend of stereotypical and outside the box for bikers. Reading those inconsistencies grabbed my attention and held it right till the last page of Moonlight.
As for the writing style of the series, it could use some assistance. It’s not poorly written by any means but it definitely felt rushed. As I said in the other reviews for the series and that seems the easiest way to put it, it felt as if the authors were facing a deadline and weren’t given the time to expand certain parts. For me, that isn’t really a problem but I know that those kinds of holes can be an issue for some.
I don’t know if the authors intend to write anymore of Diego and Colby’s story but this is a perfect ending for the pair. I was pretty sure this is where the storyline was headed even before I was ½ way through the second book but expecting this outcome didn’t lessen my enjoyment of seeing how everyone got there
I will most certainly putting the authors on my “watch for” list.

What he doesn’t realize is he drawn into a web of deceit and lies that span decades.
Handsome Bruce Monkton doesn’t want to go back to Blood Pond. He knows if he goes back to something terrible might happen to him or August.
Well written mystery with twists and turns all throughout that I never saw coming. The actual crimes were horrifying in their brutality. The hunt for a killer turned into uncovering that the person they thought was the killer in Blood Pond was not the actual killer and that much more horrifying event’s that were taking place and more than one person involved.
It broke my heart and made me angry at what was being done to these young men at the expense of several others sick perversions and what was done to Bruce and his twin Clay when they young by someone who should’ve been protecting them.
I was honestly in shock by the end of the book and didn’t know what to write in this review. All in all, it was great read.
Blurb:Fallen Hawaiian god Malakai’s love for the mortal Jepoi reaches fever pitch. The furious ruling gods open the gates of hell, releasing long-dormant demons and monsters into the islands.
Malakai and Jepoi have infuriated the major Hawaiian god Kanaloa by falling in love. Malakai was once Kanaloa’s lover, and after a nasty break-up, Kanaloa banished Malakai to eternity as a vampire on earth. Malakai loves Jepoi and yearns for a peaceful, mortal existence with his man, but Kanaloa is a sore loser. He’s not about to lose the man he worships to a guy who just won’t go away…so he abducts Jepoi and punishes him severely.
He turns Jepoi into a vampire, separating him from Malakai. Jepoi struggles to find his way as a Hawaiian vampire, learning what it’s like for others of his kind in the islands.
When Malakai finds Jepoi, their passion reaches fever pitch. To punish them both, Kanaloa opens up all the gates of hell, unleashing long-dormant demons, and monsters into the islands.
This is book two in the Tiki Vampires series. See the full series listing here
Review: This is book two of this series and to get into it you must start with book one. Malakai, also known as Kane was once a Hawaiian god until he pissed off his lover Kanaloa. Kanaloa was a very nasty and bitter god, and with his powers, he banishes Malakai to live out as a shape-shifting vampire. Malakai had fallen in love with Jepoi. Jepoi was a human and a very sexy nurse. After catching a deadly disease, Malakai had saved him. However jealous of their relationship Kanaloa kidnaps Jepoi and turns him into a vampire.
Jepoi has to learn what it is like to be a vampire and he must find his way back to Malakai. Their tempers are flaring hot in this story as is their feelings for each other. Kanaloa once again gets angered and sends out the demons and monsters on the island. In most stories, a jealous god would have just killed Jepoi, but I think Kanaloa realizes if he did that then he would definitely loose Malakai. I love the fact there is so much love and passion between Malakai and Jepoi. You can tell it is there with their words and their actions. How Malakai would have done everything in his power to get Jepoi back. He would have searched the world and brought his mate back. He would have also killed Kanaloa.
This story has a lot of twist and turns that make it interesting. I love the dangers that are coming at them from all the directions. I love the way each character shows their feelings so easily. Whether is love, lust, passion, anger and you can tell the strengths that comes from each other. I am not really sure about this story though. I just couldn’t get my attention to stay on it. I want a book that can capture my attention from the start and keep it all the way to the end, but this story was just too bizarre and too hard to follow. I just didn’t understand parts of it.
I would recommend this story because even though I could not really get into it, it is a good story. It has Hawaiian gods, sexy men, dangers from all directions, hot sex and some major quirks. I can’t wait to read the next book. Even though the first book and this one was a bit difficult to get into it is a really good story.
Blurb:US Marshal Jubilee Mason and Canadian transplant Kieran Fox join forces to take down an evil drug empire… but can their relationship survive Kieran becoming the town’s new sheriff?
Kieran and Jubilee fight their growing mutual attraction as they deal with a new menace to life in Lone Trail. A drug cartel is trafficking dangerous, home-brewed drugs, distributing them around Texas and beyond.
For Kieran, the shocking discovery that his own father is deeply involved is the worst kind of betrayal. Neither Kieran nor Jubilee knows whom to trust as it becomes clear that the cartel has a powerful grip on many influential people around them. It soon also becomes obvious that Kieran, who is struggling with his feelings for Jubilee, must make a decision.
Can he give in to his feelings and trust him…or will he just go on longing for him?
Review:This book is part of a series and must be read in order.
Kieran has more than enough on his plate, when he finds that his father is involved in the case he is working on. Trying to fight his feelings for Jubilee is difficult and he is having doubts that his heart will survive his new relationship with Jubilee. The small town where he now works isn’t exactly gay friendly and he won’t live in the closet. Jubilee has fallen head over heels but he has no choice but to be discreet, and he has more than enough on his plate discovering who the mole is in the US Marshal Department and tracking down the cartels. Together they have to work. But are they fighting a losing battle with their attraction to each other?
Longing picks up where Orgasmic Texas Dawn finished, continuing the story of Kieran and Jubilee as they hunt down the players in a drug cartel. Jubilee and Kieran have embarked on a secret relationship, working together and hiding how they feel. But the strain is getting to Kieran and he tries to back off and concentrate on the investigation. Jubilee knows he has to focus on the investigation simply because as him and Kieran dig deeper more spies come out of the woodwork, but all his focus keeps zoning into Kieran. Many things come out as they try to put a stop to the cartels, with Kieran finding out shocking news about his father.
This is a great continuation of Orgasmic Texas Dawn, the action and adventure continues with no let-up in sight with many twists and turns in the investigation. Jubilee and Kieran really are a great couple but the town where they live is not productive to a relationship, Jubilee might have his dreams but Kieran really can’t see how it would work. This book really does try to balance the two storylines, relationship & investigation, slightly combining the two as more people discover the true nature of Jubilee and Kieran’s relationship, and Kieran feels a little put out that Jubilee hasn’t even thought about any sort of compromise. The book is left open-ended as they all head off to Canada but it really isn’t looking good for poor Jubilee.
I will recommend this to those who love action and adventure, hot sex, confliction emotions, danger, secrets, twists and turns and an ending that is wide open to many possibilities.
Blurb: Owen was born into a Were family, and like those before him, he is expected to turn on the full moon of his twenty-first birthday. And there are especially high expectations concerning Owen’s shift from boy to wolf, given that his birthday falls on the night of the full moon itself.
But when the full moon rises on that fate night, nothing happens. While others around him change, he stays the same, forced to run for his life from the angry pack. Needless to say, Owen is a disappointment to his family.
But then a mysterious and sexy stranger with wickedly tempting eyes comes to stay at Owen’s mothers boardinghouse, a stranger regarded as suspicious by the clan, who apparently knows that there is far more to Owen than his failure to shift….
Review: This is part of the Growl AmberPax Collection but can be bought and read separately.
It is a really strange book, but one I can see reading over and over. Although I do wish it was longer, because it left me hanging and with questions. I really want a story that has a beginning that introduces the characters, then the story of their lives, and then the end. This one had me trying to figure out who everyone was, what they were really up too and where will Owen end up.
Owen had turned twenty-one and was supposed to change into his wolf. However, that did not happen. It left him with a lot of hateful wolves including his own family. So when Sloane shows up at his mother’s boardinghouse, he was just trying to figure out who this man was. Sloane kidnaps him and takes him away from his family. The only problem is Sloane tells him that not only is he a special type of wolf, but that Sloane is a natural-born alpha wolf. It is foretold that an omega kills all the wolves. Owen flat-out refuses to follow the rules, and he knows that all he wants is this man.
Sloane wants to kill Owen’s family because of the fact that Owen’s uncle had killed Sloane’s family. Revenge is all he is thinking about, however it would also mean his death. What he didn’t expect was to fall in love with a quirky fireball.
I always wondered what it meant by dark fantasy and I come to the conclusion that this story tells it perfectly. It has a darkness to it and I was surprise to find out that I really did like the story. I would recommend this book to anyone who loved shapeshifters, werewolves, two hot and sexy men, hot sex, and lots of twist and turns. It keeps you on the edge of the seat. However, I do not like books where it leaves me wondering. This one I actually loved.
Blurb:Canadian detective Kieran Fox goes undercover to infiltrate a violent drug ring. US Marshal Jubilee Mason is worried about him, but has his hands full hunting one of the most wanted men, recently spotted in a Lone Trail brothel…
US Marshal Jubilee Mason is separated from his lover, Canadian detective Kieran Fox, who goes undercover infiltrating a violent drug ring. Jubilee worries about Kieran throwing himself into his undercover assignments, and this one almost destroys him. Meanwhile back in Lone Trail, Jubilee is on the hunt for one of the US Marshals’ most wanted men; a former detective who murdered his wife and has been seen in an unlikely place–a brothel–by an even more an unlikely witness: Dillon DePriest, the newly reinstated, happily married Sheriff of Lone Trail…
Review: This story is part of a series and must be read in order. Jubilee and Kieran are on the trail of Reggie Jones, both men knowing that when the case is over they have to go their separate ways. Kieran throws himself into the undercover world to bring down another drug cartel, a case that nearly kills Kieran and ends up taking him back to Jubilee. Jubilee goes back to life in Lone Trail and getting his office sorted but he is soon on the trail of a man who is one of the Marshal’s most wanted, the tip coming from Dillon DePriest and the sighting was in Eva’s brothel.
This story continues where Longing ended, Jubilee and Kieran both admitting their love but unable to compromise, separating when the case of Reggie Jones ends and eventually crossing paths again as Kieran shuts down another drug cartel. The path to love is never easy but when you throw in living in two different countries, high stress jobs and undercover assignments it gets to be a sticky mess where it begins to look worse than hopeless… especially when Jubilee discovers just what lengths Kieran goes to, to get to the top boss.
Ah, D.J. Manly and A.J. Llewellyn have brought us an exciting, dangerous, tension filled story that draws you in and as you progress through the book, you see actions and reactions and wonder if our two hot law enforcement officers will ever get their happy ending. We find out more about Kieran’s father and we also see a hell of a lot of just what Kieran has to go through when he goes undercover, we see Jubilee struggling to accept Kieran’s role and we see both men in their elements as they work their cases. Will Kieran and Jubilee ever find a way to be together or will they continue to torture themselves on the love that slipped away and hope that the pain will ease with time.
This story isn’t one to miss if you love involved cop stories, although the first two books focused on Reggie and his drugs, this one branches out so we see more of what the Marshal’s and the Canadian Narc’s do so we see more cases, and, I can see that there will be a lot of cross over between the American and Canadian law enforcement before Kieran and Jubilee finally get a bliss filled happy ending. We do get the beginning of a happy ending but it gets interrupted in a most shocking fashion, damn and blasts those authors.
So in all honesty if you love crime, hot Marshal’s, sexy detectives, interesting cases, finding and losing love, struggling for understanding, danger and an ending that will leave you muttering about evil authors and their torture methods then this is the book for you.
Blurb: Two heroes fought impossible odds for their right to love. 4006 was the year the aliens came. The Compound was a place of so-called reeducation, where healthy, young GLBT people were imprisoned to accept the ‘cure’ or die.
After a woman is murdered en route to see a dying old man named Sasha, he decides to open a box entrusted to him by his father on his deathbed. In it is the truth about a rebellion waged seventy years ago. Sasha brings the box to the grieving husband and a story of two men begins to unfold–a love story about two heroes who fought against impossible odds for their right to love.
4006 was the year the aliens came, a race on the verge of extinction. The Compound was their invention, a place of horrors and so called reeducation, where healthy, young GLBT people were imprisoned to eventually accept the ‘cure’ or find death.
CONTENT ADVISORY: This story has a HFN ending. This is a re-release title. This title contains MF, MFM, and MM sexual situations.
Review: An impossibly gripping story The Breeders is placed forward in the future of human kind. The year is 4085 and the Earth leaves in peace. There are only two continents, the East and the West, and the relationship between human’s are what one would call ideal. It’s a Utopia in all forms… until a woman dies. In this perfect place someone doesn’t want the past revisited.
It is an incredible story and it managed to shake me a lot. You already know from the beginning that the story you are about to read is that of a couple who lived and died in the biggest rebellion of human kind that saw aliens invaders out of Earth. You already know this couple is long dead, yet the feelings of hope never manage to fully let you go.
As a dying old man is trying to pass along secrets and information his long dead father gave him, death seems to be right at the corner and catching up fast. Reaching the husband of the murdered researcher, Sasha opens the hologram disk and together they see the story of the Alien invasion and the turn of LGBT youth into prisoners where they were brainwashed, tortured, made to hate themselves, and finally used for breeding the under-fertilized and dying race of the Tantonians, just as if they were animals. The two men witness the horrors that these aliens force upon mere children that are treated like they have a disease instead of a natural sexual orientation. Brutally beaten, verbally and physically abused, what the LGBT community suffered was pure genocide. However, as the horrors are unveiled and the past starts catching up with the future a deeper horror shows up, one that has not been exterminated by the rebellion, rather managed to survive and gain in power.
The past is not over, the prison might have been demolished and no longer exist as a literal figure, but the LGBT genocide never really stopped and now the present has become as deadly as the past once was, perhaps even more so…
Honestly, I just loved this story. While the descriptions used here are not awfully explicit, the text manages to give you the visual and images needed to actually see this story in your mind as if you were right there with the characters watching that damn hologram. It is agony! That’s what it is. The pace is fast and between the flashes back into history and the return to present it makes your head spin (the nice way) and it makes your heart beat like a hammer. It is also quite painful. Not only the torturing, not only the brainwashing and self-hate mere children suffer, but the love story between the two MC’s is also heartbreaking. I couldn’t stop reading from the moment I picked it up, even as I stood for at least twenty minutes in trepidation when Jude first appeared. Yes, it took me twenty minutes to make my mind and find the guts to dive in, but once I did, there was no stopping.
As I said, the intimate scenes are not explicit as this story is a record on a disk and the narrators, Jude and Dante, do not go into full details about how they made love. But that is perhaps the very secret ingredient into making the love between the two of them even more powerful for the reader. They are both constantly surrounded by enemies both alien and earthlings. Their chances of survival are slim and they risk not only their own life, but also the life of every LGBT person on earth if Dante’s mission fails. The tension of the situation gives great intensity to every emotion and you feel overloaded by the end of the book.
I must admit that the end itself while greatly emotional as well, felt a bit rushed for me and left me with questions. If a sequel is scheduled for this book then it makes a bit sense to leave it at that, but if not then the end fell short of my expectations.
Overall, though this was a great, great read, one I would suggest to every fan of the genre.
Blurb: Sam and Marco deal with one crisis after another in this sexy, sinful chapter in the best-selling Orgasmic Texas Dawn series. Crime and love collide, with both men wondering if destiny is fixed. Can a happy relationship be theirs?
Sam Channing has enrolled at FLETC for the rigorous seventeen-week training program for US Marshals. Though Marco visits him when he can, their snatched moments together are precious few. Sam begins to realize how much Marco means to him, especially when he learns that his lover is working on a crazy case with wacko, drugged out Canadian movie star, Ezra Winters.
Things turn violent when Ezra’s female co-star is taken hostage but Marco has plenty of backup. Sam gets to see his new Marshal family in action first-hand. In spite of everything, at heart, it’s all about love and the extraordinary lengths the men and women of law enforcement will go to in order to defend and protect it.
Review:This story is part of a series and must be read in order. Sam has left the biker life behind him as he completes the FLETC training to become a US Marshal, but shaking off his past isn’t as easy as he hoped. Marco wishes Sam would open up with his concerns but has more important things to worry about when a new case lands with crazy movie stars. As Sam graduates tragedy strikes and the US marshal’s pull together to get justice for their colleagues.
Once again, we are given an exciting installment of the US Marshal’s from Orgasmic Texas Dawn as they keep the peace and chase down the worst of society. We open up with Sam undergoing his training for the US Marshal’s and seeing him juggle his way through as a fellow trainee tries to make waves and a trainer has it out for him. With Marco, we see him taking up cases that are troublesome with idiot movie stars, and missing Sam desperately. We watch as both men make the best of the current situation and hot snatched moments as they quench their driving need for each other.
As you well know, (you have been following the series, right!) Sam and Marco have had a bumpy ride but it looks like there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Both men have to juggle being apart and missing each other while Sam is training, but Sam isn’t one for sharing his problems and as trouble is being caused for him he finds a solution that just might work. Marco might be able to pry some details out of Sam and admire the way Sam handles things but it doesn’t mean he is really happy that Sam won’t lean on him.
I really enjoy At Heart as we see both Sam and Marco really come into their own as a super-hot couple, they strike sparks off each other whenever they are together… or on the phone to each other. They find a great balance and begin to move forward on equal footing and they both make it clear how much the other means to them. We have excitement from all angles in this story; with a shocking scene at the graduation party, mental drugged up movie stars, and jealousy and resentment playing their parts. We see all our favorite Marshal’s *sigh* and it looks like there’s a surprise in store for one of our fine Marshal’s.
I recommend this to those who love US Marshal’s hunting for justice, sexy bad boy bikers turning over a new leaf, passionate horny men and snatched moments, a great storyline and a wonderful ending.
Blurb: In Touché, the tenth book of the best-selling Orgasmic Texas Dawn series, Marco and Sam grow closer in some respects and yet are pulled apart in others. Whilst Marco, still recovering from his injuries has developed a dependency on his prescription meds and is in constant pain. With Trace and Sam determined to help him, Sam meanwhile accepts an undercover assignment with the US Marshals in the often violent, drug-strewn country of Colombia. Marco flies to Colombia as part of the backup team helping Sam in his guise as a big-time drug buyer, where the US Marshals are hoping to take down the Howard family drug cartel once and for all.
Marco is in obvious pain but it’s Trace who winds up hospitalized. Marco and Nicholas soon become involved in a case of a different kind in the ravaged streets of Bogotá, the nation’s capital. An abandoned newborn baby has been reported to the hospital but the caller is a young girl and speaks only English. With time running against them, Marco and Nicholas race to find the child as Sam enters the twilight world of big-money drug dealing…
Review:This story is part of a series and must be read in order. Marco and Sam are still struggling with their feelings for each other, being on opposite sides of the law doesn’t help in the least but staying away from each other is something neither man can do. Marco is still struggling with his injury from the ambush and is becoming dependent on pain meds. Sam finds himself under the thumb of an unscrupulous U.S. Marshal who will sacrifice anything to shut down the Howards. And both Sam and Marco find themselves in danger, when someone from Sam’s gang decides they want Sam gone.
This is a great addition to the Orgasmic Texas Dawn series but we don’t get to see Jubilee or Kieran :-(. We are now on our third couple in the series after seeing two other sets of U.S. Marshals find their happy relationships but this is the most difficult relationship yet. Sam is the leader of a biker gang who is unhappy with his lot, Marco is the one that got away and is making a life for himself as a U.S. Marshal, their attraction and feelings for each other make their positions hard and Sam finds himself working for the Marshal’s to bring down a cartel.
We see Sam and Marco admit their feelings for each other but they still can’t really be together. Sam has little choice in his actions, but tries to make them work for him. And Marco has to fight his jealousy, his need for Sam and his constant pain to carry on with his job. Marco finds himself in danger with Sam riding to the rescue and Sam discovers he is tied to a mysterious man who is more involved in the cartels than the US Marshals realize. With investigations and undercover ops their way of life, for the US Marshals hospital visits are to be expected, but two of them end up in hospital for unexpected reasons.
Now while I have loved reading the Orgasmic Texas Dawn series I found this one to be less exciting than the others, there was less separate investigations and it was more focused on the Howard’s and the cartel. We do see a little diversion with Sam’s gang but that was really about it other than the baby nearer to the end of the story, but I suppose I have just been spoilt with the interesting array of investigations in the past. The story flows smoothly and Marco and Sam are still mega hot, their sex life is still smoking and their imaginations are descriptive and hot.
I recommend this to those who love U.S. Marshals, hot bikers, great investigations, excitement and action, danger and rescues and an ending that gives us hope for the future.
Blurb: What would you do if you took your family for a fun day at Universal Studios, watched your husband and son go on a ride and when they return… they are completely different people?
For Jack Connors it’s a nightmare when he tries to convince park security, police, and then hospital staff that the two people claiming to be his loved ones are impostors. Worse… he has no proof. They are far from home and the only photo in his wallet is that of the man and child from the ride.
Something sinister is afoot but Jack isn’t quite sure what… or why his whole world has just gone haywire.
Review: Jack is living a nightmare, his husband (Dex) and son (Nicky) have returned from an amusement ride but they are not his husband and son… but soon he begins to question his sanity as the evidence mounts up that they are in fact Dex and Nicky. Why has this happened to him? Where are the real Dex and Nicky? And why is he so attracted to the new Dex?
Okay, so yeah… I mean wow, but damn this is a book that raised the hair on my neck. Jack falls into a situation that nobody could ever dream of, two complete strangers declare that they are his husband and son and the real ones are nowhere to be found. What is even worse is Jack’s mom and dad are convinced they are Dex and Nicky, and then there are all the photos, just how did they manage to do that? Is Jack losing his mind or is there really something more sinister going on?
Okay, now this is a difficult review to write because I really don’t want to give anything away. But, other than what I have written above, anything else would give you hints and clues. And well, I think you should go in blind and get the full experience of confusion, doubts and fear as Jack experiences it. I am not even going to cover the second half of the book because that’s where everything becomes clear. Dex and Nicky have been replaced, but have they? You actually begin to think that Jack has lost it, but inconsistencies crop up but then there is Jack’s parents to consider and you think why would they do that to their son? They wouldn’t… or would they?
This story bounces you back and forth between thinking Jack’s lost his mind, and there is a conspiracy going on, it keeps you unstable for some time before it begins to unravel its secrets for you, and honey they are whoppers. The situation between Jack and the ‘new’ Dex is interesting, Jack is certain ‘Dex’ isn’t his husband but can’t fight his reaction to him so there are hot sex scenes between them, but Jack really doesn’t trust ‘Dex’ and finds it hard to interact with the new ‘Nicky’.
So I recommend this book if you like science fiction, government secrets, running for your lives, dodging… (Read the book!), a surprise that will shock (I never saw it coming *the first bit I suspected, the second bit nuh-uh*) and hot sex, with mystery, confusion and a kinda happy ending for two broken men.
Blurb:Marco Dellburn is anxious to change his life and become a US Marshal. He’s found a family with his favorite law enforcement officers. There are those in his past, however, who will do anything to stop him–and destroy him–completely.
Marco Dellburn’s past as an abused teen has provided him with the toughness needed to be a US Marshal. Supported and encouraged by his idol, Jubilee Mason, Marco takes his advice and enrolls in all the grueling courses the Marshals have to offer. He even attends intense FBI workshops and upon graduation, finds he really does have a family in Jubilee and his husband, Kieran Fox, Nicholas Fournier and his lover Sean Mercado and especially Trace Thatcher, his surrogate dad and landlord.
Living in Trace and Pauline’s home, Marco finds the protection and acceptance he never had at the hands of his brutal father, Kenny Dellburn, the leader of the vicious motorcycle gang Born Evil. Trace, who shot Kenny in defense of Marco, is now a marked man wanted by Born Evil. There’s another big problem too. Marco is deeply in love with the gang’s new leader, Sam Channing… the man he can never be with and can never, ever stop loving. There’s a heavy price to pay for this passion. There’s turmoil. And death.
Review:This story is part of a series and must be read in order. Marco has come far and proved himself tough enough to be an US Marshal, but he isn’t out in the field yet so on advice from Jubilee he enrolls in extra Marshal and FBI courses. Marco discovers on his return that he really does have a family in Jubilee, Kieran, Nicholas, Sean, and Trace. But, Marco discovers that his old family haven’t forgotten about him, and when he goes undercover for the first time he knows he never forgot about one person from his past. Sam is now the leader of the biker gang Born Evil and because of the actions of the former leaders he is embroiled in deals he wants no part of. Sam is trying to pull his gang back from the brink but with his stepfather Carter Dellburn bent on revenge, being pushed in directions he doesn’t want to go and the US Marshals sniffing around Sam finds himself making deals he might just regret.
Ah, Marco, caught in a trap of secret longings and forbidden love, drawn to a man who is on the opposite side of the law. This story is about three years after Spring Leaves with Marco joining the ranks of the US Marshals and going on his first field assignment. With Marco’s first assignment he comes into direct contact with his first love Sam, he is terrified his cover will be blown but Sam holds back for some reason. Sam never forgot Marco but his life is set, he is the leader of a feared biker gang and he has no way out no matter how much he might long for it. Sam and Macro might be on opposite sides, but neither wants the other hurt. Their feelings for each other still burn bright and passion flares but the fall out may be too much for either to handle.
This is a great addition to this series, we remember Marco being a horn-dog, but he is more mature and grown up now. He discovers that the family he has chosen will do anything for him and the family he left wants revenge. The conflict he finds himself in due to his continued attraction to Sam is one that could cost him everything if it is discovered but he never really seems to acknowledge it, Sam is different he does think about the ramifications but can’t say no. The danger and turmoil that follows them is exciting and new links are revealed in the ongoing war between the US Marshals and the Howard family. We see many of the characters from previous books, we discover that Sam is so much more than a mindless biker and Trace and Marco have targets on their backs.
I recommend this to those who love action, danger, a dangerous relationship, hot secret sex, new twists and the feeling that things are just beginning to heat up.
Blurb: Jamie’s on the brink of rebelling against everything in this life when, on one fateful evening, he’s invited to spend time in what’s thought to be a haunted house near the university campus. His roommate and another guy, totally “out” and ready to play, want Jamie to join them for some sexy fun.
Intrigued by the idea of exploring his sexuality, Jamie follows the two men into the old gothic mansion on the hill, once a place of decadence and torture. But could there still be echoes of the past lingering there?
Jamie’s about to discover much more than his sexual preferences on a night of terror he won’t ever forget.
Review: Good God, what a strange read. No, it isn’t the fact that it contained a haunted house; it isn’t the fact that it had evil ghosts intend on stealing your soul entrapping forever; it definitely isn’t the fact that there was a vampire who reincarnated? It’s was the writing that made my skin crawl.
There I am reading the story from Jamie’s perspective, enjoying it quite a lot and getting into the whole haunted house thing. I was even pleasantly surprised by the threesome that occurred with a still virgin Jamie (I am not throwing a fit on that, I loved it). I’m loving the Jamie whispers and all, real fun stuff for me, and there, right there, this weird things occurs.
Somehow, Jamie’s life harbors a dead boy’s soul, meaning that in his previous life Jamie had a strong connection with this particular house. But the odd part that made me get lost in the read (in a good way) and kept me on my toes trying not to lose who’s who, was the fact that the lost soul and the now Jamie merged. The story never stopped being narrated from the same perspective, at the whole time feeling as if Jamie was experiencing those events, only to have you fooled in the next when Jamie remembered nothing at all.
It was weird, good weird. I liked it. It frustrated the heck out of me, and the way it ended was, well I wanted to throw something and break it at some point, but still it was realistic enough, if that even makes sense for a paranormal read.
Bottom end I enjoyed it and I’d recommend it to fans of the genre.

Randy Carlton has gone to great lengths to get back what he considers to be his. He intends to let nothing stand in his way. He will have David at all costs… even if he has to kill to do it.
Don’t miss the exciting sequel to Mirrors by best-selling authors A.J. Llewellyn and D.J. Manly!
Review:This story is part of a series and must be read in order. For four years Aaron and David have had a fantastic loving relationship, they might have started out rocky but they are on solid ground now. Running a B & B is hard work but Aaron wouldn’t change a thing, David is still a personal trainer and he misses him when he is away but they are living a life in paradise. Randy has set his plans in motion, he has waited four years to take his life back and no one and nothing will stand in his way.
H-o-l-y c-o-w, you could have knocked me down with a feather when I started reading this book, damn I never saw that coming at all. When I finished Mirrors I thought the story was wrapped up beautifully, but cracking open this book, I realized that I had been hoodwinked. This story opens up with Randy ending the life he has lived for four years so he can embark on his planned new life, he ties up loose ends and sets off to integrate himself in Aaron and David’s lives. Aaron and David begin to fall apart as insinuation and manipulation maneuver them like pawns on a chessboard. Rumors, bad reviews, and cancellations have them wondering just who has it in for them, but when David receives a package, Aaron knows just who it must be.
This is a fantastic story that surprises and thrills us, it holds us in suspense as we follow the story and see the manipulations of a twisted man begin to wear a loving couple down. We are left with a trail of bodies, terrible rumors and a man hell-bent on getting what is his and to hell with what he has to do to get it. Aaron and David’s relationship is wonderful, it is strong, passionate, and sexually charged, and they have a hot sex, which is loving and passionate. There are a couple of times that you really do worry that Randy has got his wish in driving them apart but the suspense is brilliant.
I have to recommend this to those that love suspense, devious minds, loving couples facing challenges, hot sex, a brilliant storyline and a great ending that you weren’t sure you were gonna get.
