Blurb: When they spend time alone on a Montana mountainside will Tyler ever convince Martin that like sapphires, love is worth searching for?
Martin’s name was the very last on a kill list. The son of a murderer, he’s had no childhood; lost in a horrific holding pattern of death that turned his heart to stone. Thanks to the man who called him brave and spared his life, he no longer has to look over his shoulder, but he does have one question. Why did Justin let him live?
Tyler Colby has identified a major flaw in the seismic mapping system used to monitor earthquake activity. Sent to Crooked Tree by his employer, the Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology, he is tasked with adding a new remote station to the network. The installation should be his entire focus, but the lure of sapphires and his attraction to a heartbroken young man called Martin is enough to make him want more.
Review: Each book in the Montana collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.
For the longest time all Martin knew was pain, destruction and death. His father was one evil he wanted to forget. He just couldn’t forget the ones that were in danger as well. He ran as fast as he could but in the end he couldn’t run fast enough. Now he was back to find out why one of the two men should want him dead had not killed him.
Tyler was a scientist tracking earthquakes in Montana. He had his eyes on a very sexy man who seemed to have pain etched onto his face. He wanted Martin to forgive himself as much as Martin wanted the others to forgive him.
This is one of those stories that you must read the previous books otherwise your a bit behind in the guys and their pasts. It had been awhile since I have read them so I was a bit slow on certain aspects of the story. It is a story filled with love as well as pain, tears as well as laughter and maybe some gold flakes. It is a very emotional story that will have you on the edge of their seats to find out what happens next. I can’t say that it is one of my favorite stories but it is a very good story with a lot of heart in it.
I will admit that this is not one of those stories that will be read more than once or twice. However it is a story that will have you remembering the good in your life. I enjoyed reading it and look forward to what the next story has going on. I would definitely recommend it.

Blurb: Rob runs to Crooked Tree determined to find a safe place for his nephews. A family for them is the final thing on his list, and then he can vanish completely. Falling for a local paramedic along the way is a disaster in Rob’s otherwise perfect plans.
Paramedic Aaron, the middle of five brothers, would like someone to love. A great believer in fate he is convinced though, that one day he’ll find someone. He just never thought it would be a man in so much pain, or that children would be part of the package.
Rob is ready to leave. Aaron wants him to stay. Their love has an expiry date, and it’s tearing them apart. Can they find a way to save what they have?
Review: Each book in the Montana collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.
With his sister dead, Rob was left alone to raise his two nephews. Two nephews he didn’t know and wasn’t too sure about. He had a big secret that he was keeping and needed to take the children to the one place that might just be safe for them. He just had not expect to meet Aaron. What a bad time to meet someone that could pull his heart.
Rob had not expected to meet the man who had helped him rescue a family from an accident. However here on the Crooked Tree ranch, there stood the sexy man that called to him. He had many questions and wanted many things from the man, but well if you want to know more your just going to have to read the book.
With so much time being passed since reading the previous books I was a bit lost on the anger that Justin had when Rob showed up with the kids. I also was quite surprised at the reason they went there in the first place. This book had a lot of pain in it and I really find that I didn’t care for it as much. It made the book seem to drag on a bit longer then it should have. However the story is told with quite a bit of heart and it made the story better than I had expected.
The characters didn’t seem to have the right chemistry that I would have thought they would have. It seemed to flare hotter than I had expected also at times. It took most of the book before I actually felt connected to our two main characters. There is also the attitude that the kids gave and it felt more than what was actually told about. I would have guessed more physical pain then mental on the kids, but who knows.
Overall the story just seemed to drag on longer than I would have liked. It didn’t have the right speed going for it in my opinion. I was a little bored and that is never a good thing. However the story did end with a smile and a happy ending. It was not my favorite book but was still a good read. I would definitely recommend this.

Blurb: An actor in the closet, a sheriff in love, and memories that won’t stay hidden.
Jordan Darby is known as the King of Christmas. The star of eight made-for-TV Christmas movies, the leading man who always gets his girl. Filming at Crooked Tree Ranch in Montana, in the ice and snow, Jordan is fighting to make a go of his new company and dealing with fears of exposure over one huge secret. After all, who the hell would buy into him being a romantic straight lead if rumors about him being gay were proven to be true?
Sheriff Ryan Carter is advising on the new movie being made at Crooked Tree. He hoped this would be one day of work and nothing more. Until, that is, he meets the hero. But while Jordan is sexy, he’s also very much stuck in the closet—everything that Ryan doesn’t need in his life. And then lust becomes part of the equation, and Ryan’s quiet life is thrown into turmoil.
Their story unfolds against the chaos that overtakes the ranch, with Adam regaining memories that terrify him and make him look at Justin differently, and Justin leaving the ranch to make things right. Only through trusting in love and friendship can Justin and Adam learn to look to the future instead of letting the past destroy everything. But will they ever see clearly enough to do that?
Review: Each book in the Montana Series collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.
This book is not just about our romantic couple but also has important events related to two of the other couples that are in love. I have always loved how ranchers name their ranches, it is always so unique. This story is based at the Crooked Tree Ranch, and I suppose you will just have to read the previous books for that reason, but it is fairly understood. I have always loved a good Christmas story and the way this author writes them makes it even better for me. You have action, hot sex, a little bit of danger, suspense and so much more going on in them. The only thing that I am not a fan of is the jumping from one perspective to the next. Â
You know when you meet someone for the first time, you look at them and make an assumption about them, well let’s just say that was Ryan. Ryan is a sexy sheriff who is going to be doing security on the ranch while a film company is there. He takes one look at Jordan and assumes the man is a drunk and an ass. Comes back to bite him in the ass, because he also notices Jordan is one hell of a sexy man. Too bad Jordan doesn’t plan on coming out to his fans that he is gay, for our sexy sheriff is already out. It turns into a sweet romance with very little problems, well except for the out part.
Then there is all the other characters in the story, that is where the angst comes from. Justin was a killer for the government, sent in to kill Jamie, who just so happens to be Adam his best friend. Adam has no memories, but his dreams are showing him what has happened with a little bit of help. And for him Justin is in the middle of it. And that is just a part of the angst in this book. I love the secondary characters and am very glad there was no sexy time with some of them. Â
Let’s just say that it isn’t really all that Christmas themed in a sense but it works out pretty good. Not all that much drama well except for the, well you will just have to read that. Jordan’s sexy twin Micah and Micah’s girl friend were a great add in as well. This whole story just rocked for me and I enjoyed reading it.Â
I can’t wait for the next book that comes out and I would definitely recommend this story.
Blurb:Â One burned and broken man finds his way home. Can he find peace in the arms of a man easy to love?
Justin made the ultimate sacrifice for his country, battling domestic terrorism, never the man he really was, using hate to avenge the death of his best friend. The friend he’d killed.
What he doesn’t count on is getting shot, and if he’s going to die he wants it to be on Crooked Tree soil. Home.
Sam is as much a part of Crooked Tree as any of the families, and the offer to buy into the ranch is a dream come true. But falling for a hidden, secretive, injured man isn’t the way to keep his head in the game.
Review:Â This story is part of a series and must be read in order.
Justin, sixteen and badly burned had been told that his best friend Adam had been murdered by the men that had hurt him. He wanted revenge, he wanted to cause them just as much pain as they had caused him, and he wanted them to die. He was given that chance by someone in the government. Offered a job that would help rid the world of domestic terrorism but also a chance to kill those who had killed Adam. It had all been a lie.
Sam’s family had disowned him when he was younger for being gay. They kicked him out and forced him to survive on his own. Now his grandmother had passed, leaving him a quarter of a million dollars to keep the family face. He just has to show up for her funeral and be done with it. However Sam has other plans, he wants to buy into the Crooked Tree Ranch with his friends. On a little ride to gain perspective he finds a badly injured man on the property. One look at him, and Sam had made the decision to help him. He just had no idea that the man he helped was Adam’s best friend, Ethan’s brother and Marc’s son… Justin. A young man who had disappeared when Adam had so many years before; a man that had been thought to be dead for so long, and now he’s back and he says someone will come to kill him for his past deeds.
I basically read this series out of order, which I do not recommend so I was missing just a bit. However I can tell you that as soon as I finish this review I am going to go read the first book in this series and go from there. Every once in a while there is an author who leaves you with a tale that will not only captivate you but keep you begging for more. R.J. Scott is that such author for me.
I normally do not read stories about cowboys because they just don’t give me that thrill, but this one has excitement, adventure, danger, death and forgiveness in it. Not to mention all of the action and hot touches. I hadn’t bothered reading the blurb with this, which was why I just ended up reading this book first. Now that I know I was definitely missing something, I can’t wait to start this series from the beginning.
It isn’t your normal romance story, but an action pack, suspense filled, danger story that has a love burning deep inside of it. Now normally one would pick the tender hearted of the bunch to be a favorite, but Justin is the one I chose. He was badly burned, had been raped and beaten, built a tough skin to go after those who had hurt him and his friend, did what he thought was right, and with a broken heart and soul at that, only to turn around his life in the end. There is just something that pulls at your heart strings with his story and makes you want to just hold him tight.
This story is fully developed, fast paced, action packed perfection in my eyes. I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to start the others in this series.
This is one book that I would definitely recommend.
Blurb: A man without memories, and the cop who never gave up hope.
When he wakes up in the hospital, the victim of a brutal beating, John Doe has no memories of who he is or who hurt him. The cops can find nothing to identify him and he can’t remember anything to help… except the name Ethan and one recurring place from his dreams. Two words and they’re not much, but it’s a start: Crooked Tree.
Detective Ethan Allens has never stopped searching for the two boys who vanished. When a report lands on Ethan’s desk that may give new leads, he jumps at the chance to follow them up. The man he finds isn’t his brother, but it’s someone who could maybe help him discover what happened twelve years ago.
What neither man can know is that facing the very real demons of the past could destroy any kind of future they may have together.
Review: Adam and Justin had disappeared over fifteen years ago, but Adam has no memory of it. He has no clue who he is, where he is from or his past at all. Ethan is Justin’s brother and had left to be a cop after the boys disappeared. His father thought they were dead and wanted to grieve. However on a tip, Ethan went to a hospital out of state to see if the John Doe that was found was one of the boys. He had loved Adam when they were young and missed him. He missed his brother and wished he was home. The man he found was not his brother but the man he loved.
Adam had no memory of the past and feared he would never know. He didn’t know the man who had come for him but he felt the connection. He just wished they knew if Justin was alive and how to find him. However it would seem trouble has found them.
I thought what I felt when I read the last book in this series, that it pulled at my heart strings but this one goes even further than that. It was like my heart was being torn out with Adam and Ethan’s feelings of loss in a way, but also in the fact that at least one had been found. This story was very captivating and I absolutely loved it.
The way this author had Adam with amnesia was brilliant. It was so authentic in the way she wrote it that my mind was blasted with it. I love how, even though it is a romance story, the romance is not what the story is focus on. You have two young men that had been in love when they were just teens and something tragic happened and they didn’t get their happy ending. Then fifteen years later they are brought back together. It is a very emotional story and I can’t wait to read the next book again.
Blurb:Â When a cowboy meets the guy from the city, he can’t know how much things will change.
On the spur of the moment, with his life collapsing around him, Jay Sullivan answers an ad for a business manager with an expertise in marketing, on a dude ranch in Montana.
With his sister, Ashley, niece, Kirsten and nephew, Josh, in tow, he moves lock stock and barrel from New York to Montana to start a new life on Crooked Tree Ranch.
Foreman and part owner of the ranch, ex rodeo star Nathaniel ‘Nate’ Todd has been running the dude ranch, for five years ever since his mentor Marcus Allen became ill.
His brothers convince him that he needs to get an expert in to help the business grow. He knows things have to change and but when the new guy turns up, with a troubled family in tow – he just isn’t prepared for how much.
Review:Â This is the 2nd edition, there is an additional chapter and the story has been re-edited.

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year” and I LOVE it! There’s something special about Christmas stories and as you can see, I also love writing them 🙂
The Christmas Throwaway, was my first Christmas themed book. Written as a short story for someone who was poorly in J2 fan fiction, I extended it from two thousand short words to over forty and so Ben and Zach were created.
The book, a story of a young man thrown out of his house at Christmas for being gay, did really surprisingly well. It was All Romance’s best selling book of 2010 and also spent a lot of time in the top 300 of all romance novels on Amazon. It’s now available in Audio and has been translated into Spanish, Italian, French and now German. I love this little book
that could so much.
I love the concept of a road trip, particularly when you fall in love on that journey. Add in two men who have known each other a very long time and this is a story written with Meredith Russell that ticks all the boxes for a Christmas Romance.
This was my second Christmas themed book and spent some time with an old publisher before I was lucky enough to get it back.  As soon as I got it back I doubled it in size!
The story of someone who doesn’t really like Christmas landing in a town that won an award for best Christmas Town made me smile the entire time I was writing it.I couldn’t fail to love Gabriel who showed Jesse what Christmas could be about and how it is possible to love again.
One of my favourite storylines in a romance book at Christmas is the idea of a snowy cabin, enforced isolation, and two men falling in love. Snow, secrets, some danger, one hot tub, Christmas decorations, and family.
Awwww, my boys in New York. Â I loved writing this book.
It started life as a J2 fanfiction twelve days of Christmas type short story.
When I rewrote it I wanted to keep that idea of the days before Christmas, although of course the book starts just before Thanksgiving and ends in the New Year.
There is also a free short story following on, available at Amber Kell’s blog here
My newest Christmas book, the fourth story in the Montana series is a look at Justin and Adam, alongside a whole new romance between a B list actor and a Sheriff.
I love Christmas movies, and this novel is set against the March backdrop for filming *Snow In Montana* starring The King Of Christmas (TM) Jordan Darby. Meeting Ryan Carter, the local sheriff, is way too tempting for Jordan. How long can he stay in the closet?
The story of an angel and a man set in a book shop. I mean, how could I not enjoy writing this, it had a bookshop, a man with wings, and an angsty sad hero. Win/Win.
It was based loosely on a short I wrote for Dreamspinner way back in 2010 (a bit, not much really, it was supposed to but it kind of grew like topsy and became something else).
The short story I had written was my first ever accepted work for publishing and it HAD to be extended and become something else.
Writing the Texas series was a labour of love, and I had to put in a Christmas story for Jack, Riley, and their extended family.
There is of course drama with the Campbell-Hayes, including a terrifying car trip home with the Christmas Tree. Add in the boy’s new family and this ends up being a very interesting Christmas for them all.
End Street Detective Agency Book 4, written with Amber

How could we not explore the idea of a Klaus family in this series of books featuring vampires, demons, angels, dragons and one kind of human, along with a cast of many other paranormals?
In this book we explored what it must be like born into the Klaus family but not wanting to be a Santa… And and of course, we introduced our very own Angel just to shake things up.
The Sapphire Cay series comes to an end with book 6.
I have loved writing this series with my very close friend Meredith Russell and we had to give the boys a Christmas book in 2013.
We bought back a wedding planner with OCD decorating tendencies and his sexy Marine, Lucas and Dylan and a stray dog, and gave all of our boys a Christmas Day they wouldn’t forget.
Jake and Sean, with their love/hate relationship stuck in a cabin in the middle of nowhere for Christmas. Of course the Bullen storyline features but mostly this is me ticking ALL of my Christmas boxes.
Two men, a cabin, stranded, anger, hate, love, sex and gratuitous use of a running machine. Sighs. I loved writing this book.
This was part of a huge Christmas Anthology that I pulled together in 2013 featuring some 25 new authors. It is the sequel to Deefur The Dog, featuring a Manny, a widower, a sweet child, and of course a Great Dane called Deefur.
This year it is being published with it’s own cover and wont cost you a penny!
The book that was never supposed to be written… Â Did you know The Heart Of Texas was supposed to be a stand alone? ROFL… I couldn’t leave it though and so Texas winter was born.
Snow doesn’t fall a lot in Texas but this story centers around a freak one-day snowfall. Add in a daughter Riley didn’t know he had and the Campbell-Hayes have their first real Christmas.
Written in 2012… Henry and Jack had thought nothing could ever drive them apart. They were wrong. Three months have passed since Jack had walked out of the home they shared, and Henry had been too stupid to take back the hurtful things he’d said.
Both assured by their respective parents that the other would not be present at Henry’s mother’s annual Christmas gathering, they attend. Finding they have been duped into seeing each other, Henry realizes that this may be his only chance to try and make things right. But will he be able to convince Jack to come home?
About Rozenn
Rozenn Scott is the alter ego of bestselling gay romance author RJ Scott.
Her goal, whichever hat she is wearing, is to write stories with a heart of romance, a troubled road to reach happiness, and most importantly, that happy ever after.
She lives in Buckinghamshire, just outside London and spends every waking minute she isn’t with family either reading or writing.  The last time she had a week’s break from writing she didn’t like it one little bit, and on a more personal level, she has yet to meet a bottle of wine she couldn’t defeat.

Crooked Tree Ranch.Â
Cop, Ethan Allens has never stopped searching for his brother and his brother’s best friend who vanished. When a report lands on Ethan’s desk that may give new leads he jumps at the chance to follow them up. An actor in the closet, a sheriff stuck in a rut, and memories that won’t stay hidden. Will Christmas at Crooked Tree be cancelled? Jordan Darby is known as the King of Christmas. The star of eight made-for-TV Christmas movies; he is the leading man that always gets his girl. Filming at Crooked Tree in an icy, snowy March he is fighting studio execs, and his fears of exposure, over one huge secret. After all, who the hell would hire him if it came out that their romantic lead was gay?
Sheriff Ryan Carter is advising on the new movie being made at Crooked Tree. He had hoped this would be one day of work and nothing else. Until that is, he meets the sexy hero of the movie. Jordan is spiky, resigned, angry, stuck in the closet and everything that Ryan doesn’t need in his life. Until that is, lust becomes part of the equation.
Against the chaos that has overtaken the ranch, Adam regains a memory that threatens his love with Ethan, and it is Justin who has to make sense of it all for everyone. Only through trusting in love and friendship can these two men, learn to look to the future, instead of letting the past destroy everything.
And then maybe, for everyone at Crooked Tree, there can be peace by Christmas.
