Review: I really wanted to love this I truly did as the blurb was enticing. Alas I did not. I felt like I was disconnected throughout the story. I did not connect any of the characters at all. 

The first problem I saw was there were too many characters introduced that resulted in the main plot being pushed back again and again. Garvey’s character irritated me in that he constantly drilled the point that he wanted the reader to know how much he loved to eat humans. I got that from the introduction which was a little too much.

Tovin is sweet yet naive at times. I wanted to slap him at times and say are you kidding me. Surely you can’t be that blind to things.

Then there was the hierarchy which was very confusing to say the least. I honestly gave up trying to understand what was what halfway through. I think there was too much information thrown into this one book for the reader to process thoroughly. As a result you feel bogged down.

Sorry, but I did not enjoy this book.
