There’s only one problem—Flynn’s actually quite a good boyfriend, and now Nathan’s wondering if getting off the sofa occasionally is really the worst thing in the world.

Thanks so much for having me! Wanted-Bad Boyfriend is a contemporary M/M romance set on Ceremony, a small, English island that’s made romance into a cottage industry. Of course, the other thing that small island communities excel at is gossip…and Ceremony is no different. Especially when they have such fertile fodder as Nate and Flynn, the main characters of Wanted-Bad Boyfriend.

Excerpt!

Russell picked the sleep from the corner of his eye and blinked at the bowl of porridge on the table. His mum had added a dollop of jam to the middle.

“You should ask him out.” She slid a cup of tea and a bottle of milk over the table to him. He stared at the milk sourly for a second and wondered if it would be warm when he picked up the bottle or not. There were drawbacks to having your own cow. There were nothing but drawbacks to having your own cow.

“Huh?” he asked as he gave in and picked up the milk.

“Your boss.”

His mum wiped the table around his breakfast. The smell of bleach mixed with the sugar and porridge stink. Russell saved the spoon before she could wipe that. He dunked it in the bowl and stirred the jam in irritably.

“That’s sexual harassment,” he said.

His mum scoffed and swiped the few crumbs she’d collected off the table into her hand.

“It’s sexual harassment if HE does it.” she said. “When you do it, it’s going for what you want! “

The only one in the room to witness the humiliation was Albert, his dad’s ancient, fat Jack Russell. So why did Russ still want to sink into the floor?

“He’s a bit old for me,” he muttered the weak excuse.

“Not old, settled,” his mum contradicted with a snap of the dishcloth. “Did you know he owns that house of his? Free and clear.”

Russ ate a spoonful of porridge resentfully.

“Trust me, mum,” he said around the soggy mush. “As soon as I sort out a few more hours. I will be out of here.”

She made a dismissive nose and went over to scrape out the leftover oats into the recycling. The spatula scraped against the fire weathered metal.

“Don’t be silly,” she said. “You know you’re welcome for as long as you need a roof over your head. I’m just SAYING, if it worked out with you and Nathan, you wouldn’t need one.”

For a second Russell imagined it. He’d walk up to Nate Moffatt-the first man he’d ever

met who was actually coiffed-and ask him out for chips and a pint of cider. He cringed with second-hand embarrassment for his imaginary, future self.

“Mum! I’m going to put out for some guy just because he has a house,” he blurted out. She gave him a disapproving look and he had to bite an apology off the tip of his tongue. “Why are you so set on this anyhow?”

She dunked the pan in the sink, under a quilt of lemongrass scented bubbles. While it soaked she stripped her bright pink rubber gloves off and slid her wedding ring back on.

“I was talking to his mum in the library. Always such a lovely woman,” she said vaguely. When Russ groaned she sniffed at him. “You know Ally Moffatt nearly died? Because she did. Now she just wants to make sure her son is happy before her time is up. That’s all any of us want.”

Russ sighed and ate another spoon of porridge.

“No pressure then?” he muttered around the bowl of the spoon.
