Review: Whew! What a book! I have to warn you, there is a bit of M/F action in this book. I was a bit turned off by it but it didn’t take away from the story. I feel a warning would have been nice.

The story was well written, the characters were well-developed, and this was a pretty action-packed, quick read. The suspense component of the book was pretty good but the love story was fantastic.

There was A LOT of crazy in this book! There were a couple of characters, with a 3rd possible one, that were just flat out mad. One of Skylar’s co-stars, Kelly, at times seemed to be a bit crazy. An argument can be made for Skylar’s manager – Nick – also, although he’s more obsessed with the money and fame Skylar can bring him.

Skylar had a messed up childhood and doesn’t really understand relationships. He truly hasn’t ever felt what it’s like to be loved so he has always just been a casual hook-up kind of guy. He’s a bit egotistical at times but deep down is a good guy that cares about the people around him (that aren’t crazy or jerks).

Aiden is an all-around great guy – hero (fireman) and a selfless friend and lover. At first, he doesn’t even want to get mixed up with the Hollywood star but when he finally caves in, he goes all in.

Ryan is absolutely fantastic! I love every part of him and wished he’d had a love interest or side story. The 2 firemen that were close to Aiden – Ben & Paul – were great additions to the story. Sophie was ok at times; she really shined in the end.

Definitely a story I would recommend and definitely and author to follow.

Review: This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone.

Max in on the run from his crazy radical pack in Miami who tried to cleanse him of being gay. After being on the road so long, he is tied and when he finds a trail that leads to a log cabin he decides to sleep for a little bit. However, he has stumbled onto the home of a lone alpha wolf named Ulf. Lucky for Max it turns at that Ulf is his mate. Ulf just have to convince Max that two males can mate.

This was a sexy and sweet little short. Max is so afraid that he will be hunted and what he wants is wrong. Ulf has to show Max that it is all right and what they have it meant to be. The way he does this is the sexy part. But he also teaches Max how to have fun and play again. That was the sweet.

The only thing is there is no real background on Ulf and why he is living alone in the woods. I would have liked a little more on Ulf I think. But other than that, it was an enjoyable fast read.

Blurb: Ethan Abbatt is a wolf shifter who can’t shift. Plagued by pain and weakness all his life, he hopes to find an honorable death by joining his pack mates in a vampire attack. Instead, Ethan learns two things: draining his blood releases his pain and his wolf, and he has a true mate – a vampire named Miguel.

Miguel Rodriguez is more than four centuries old. Strong, powerful, and vicious, he walks through life as a shadow, without happiness or affection. When a young shifter tells Miguel they’re true mates, destined to be together, Miguel sends him away. But Ethan is persistent, and Miguel can’t resist for long. Once Miguel gives in, being together comes naturally.

The challenge is keeping themselves alive so they can stay by each other’s side until forever comes.

Review: Ethan Abbatt foolishly follows his young pack mates into town to take down some rogue vampires, with life changing consequences. Ethan has always been slight, smaller, sickly and weak, never able to shift into his wolf to spite being a natural-born shifter. That all changes the night he meets a centuries old vampire named Miguel Rodriguez.

Ethan recognizes the connection to his true mate straight away, but the vampire will take a little more convincing. As werewolves have their beliefs, so do the vampires, and they have long since known that drinking the blood of a shifter is deadly to their kind. But Ethan’s blood literally calls to Miguel, unlike anything he has ever experienced.

Ethan’s body seems to be built for Miguel’s. His smaller frame fits perfectly in Miguel’s arms. His veins plump and sing to the vampires fangs, they can sense each other and Ethan can finally shift. The ages old rift between shifters and vampires may be easily set aside by these two unlikely mates, but the same cannot be said for their friends and family.

Even after Ethan and Miguel go out of their way to ensure the pack lands are safe, the pack beta still expresses his disgust with their mating. Just when it seems these two might get their own version of a happy ever after, a power-hungry idiotic vampire threatens to destroy them both.

Just like with the first story in this series, CC has brought something fresh and unique to this shifter story. Ethan has a jealous streak a mile long, not good when your mate is a bloodthirsty vampire. But what if Ethan’s body, this condition that has plagued him his entire life, is the perfect solution to their problem. Are you intrigued? You have to grab a copy and read then!

I loved how this story answered a few unanswered questions from ‘Wake Me Up Inside’ and you learn more about the connection Ethan really has to the Eskedale pack from that story.

Narrated by the greatness that is Charlie David. I think this is his best performance yet, and I’ve listened to more than a dozen of his narrations. He does this sort of regal, relaxed tone for Miguel that sounds ancient and smart, just like the character.

The only time Miguel loses control is when Ethan is in serious danger, and that is flawlessly conveyed in David’s rendering of the story. Then when he is voicing Ethan, he is shy and unsure of himself in the beginning, but as the story progress, so does Ethan’s strength of character, and David conveyed that perfectly as well.

This book was simply music to my ears, right down to the most non-descript moan. This book was also by far one of CC’s sexiest novels as well. No sooner does Miguel touch Ethan, he can’t keep his hands off him, they literally redefine the term “fucking like minks!”, but it is so passionate and raw and sexy.

Ethan is 21 years old, never shifted, never even been kissed. Miguel is over 4 centuries old and never met someone he would be willing to die for, until now. So their mating is frantic and frenzied and often, but it’s too be expected, and just fits for the story.

A must listen if you are a fan of Charlie David’s narration, Cardeno’s stories, shifter and/or vampire novels, and of course my fellow hopeless romantics.

Blurb: Théoden: Tonight, I have to make one of the hardest decisions of my life. I have to choose which two on my children to send off with my Sire, my King, Ara. As you know, I don’t like to share what belongs to me, but I can’t deny my King what he’s commanded of me. The highlight of my evening, however, will be my ascension to Prince of the City. I’m expected to announce my own decree at tonight’s ceremony and I can’t wait. The citizen of the Kingdom of Ara WILL respect my rule… or else.

Noel: I got a break last night when Théoden allowed his sons some free time. But tonight is going to be no walk in the park for me. Marco is all business and he doesn’t take his job of training me lightly. I’m still trying to figure out what I can and can’t do around him, the cruel, sadistic bastard is so unpredictable. One thing is for certain, I want to learn what it means to be a vampire. I don’t want to be ruled by my nature… I want to control it.

Warning: This serial contains strong adult content not meant for sensitive eyes. The novelettes in this serial will be filled with dark, twisted, raunchy, and steamy scenes between powerful, sexy men that will either offend you or get ya revved up. This series will not be pulling any punches, and it won’t apologize for hurting your feelings, either. You’ll find no fluff and ruffles here. The vampires are not misunderstood, hopeless romantics looking for love. The werewolves are not cute and cuddly and the dragons aren’t the ones from your childhood. This is NOT a romance. There are approximately 24,800 words in this novelette.

Review: For those of us enraptured with Nicholas Bella’s paranormal series, Season 2, Book 2 titled Ascension picks up where we left off in Commanded. This installment is about Théoden and his coronation making him Prince of the city. As we learned in the last book, Ara the King will be leaving to take over more properties and will appoint Théoden to rule in his place.

The night is going to be busy with many changes taking place. After the brothers wake and everyone enjoys their share of cream of wheat for breakfast, or better known as cum in the vampire world, Théoden advises them of the new changes taking place. Noel is a little confused as to, how and if, any of these new changes will be affecting him.
Marco is in charge of training Noel and shopping for new clothes. Noel is under the assumption (and we know what happens when you assume) that now that he is embraced he would be an equal brother.

Marco is shredding that theory to pieces. He continues to be the bastard we all know and love except, I don’t think Noel is loving him too much right now. He is quickly learning the ways of the vampires with fighting and feeding since their time for training has been cut short. Marco is going to be a brutal teacher and Noel will have to learn to curb his attitude or pay, dearly.

As midnight rolls around, all the vampires in the kingdom Fanart Ascension Nicholas Bellahave gathered at the King’s command. As the coronation gets underway Théoden takes his rightful place at the throne. As the Prince of the city he has a few decrees of his own he expects everyone to follow. And…if they don’t, there will be hell to pay. But priorities come first…feast and fuck. 

If you love this series for the wild, no holds barred sex, you will get it. If you love this series for the plot, the take no prisoners dialogue, you will get that, too. Nicholas, cleverly, gives us a little of everything including throwing in a little bit of mystery and suspense as they search for Dante, the wolf hybrid. I am really looking forward to see what he brings to the story and especially the House of Théoden. Will the Prince get his wolf-man? My money is on Théoden.

Each installment shows the author’s originality and imagination. Nicholas doesn’t hold back and continues to break the mold with his storytelling. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Noel and Théoden and my curiosity is really peaked for Dante. Up next is Negotiation. Could that mean what I think that means? Heh, I guess I have to wait and see.

Blurb: Sequel to Upside Down

Club owner Harry Klinger has had his eye on Tristan Martin for months, but never had the nerve to approach him. He’s watched as Tristan dated Eddie and then reluctantly sat on the sidelines during the emotional breakup when Tristan discovered Eddie was dealing drugs. Now that Tristan seems to be healing, Harry hopes to get his chance.

When Eddie sends his men into Harry’s club to harass Tristan, Harry steps in to help. Tristan is reluctant at first since he admittedly has terrible taste in men, but Harry seems genuine, and Tristan can’t help but think Harry’s sexy as well and begins to hope for happiness for both of them.

Unfortunately, Eddie isn’t behaving rationally, sampling too much of his own product. With his determination to take Tristan back, it’ll take more than Harry’s help to keep Tristan safe as Eddie ratchets up his attempts to get what he wants.

Reviewer: Tams

Review: Tristan Martin is a force of nature. He is beautiful, energetic, almost like a shining star, wild and unpredictable. Unfortunately, he continually chooses lovers that take what they need without really taking care of Tristan. Most recently, it was drug dealer Eddie who wanted to own Tristan, like a car or a dog, wanted to control him.

Tristan has never had a lover that took his feelings, his wants, and his needs into consideration. So when Harry tries to show him all that and more, Tristan doesn’t know what to make of it at first, because it’s backwards to him.

Harry Klinger has been enamored with young Tristan since the first time he saw him in Broncos all those months ago. But Tristan quickly hooked up with Eddie and then Harry blew through a string of lovers trying to quench his thirst for the one he couldn’t have.

When Eddie tries to force his way back into the picture, threatening Tristan, Harry wants to rescue him. He brings Tristan home with him to protect him and does a terrible job at hiding how he truly feels about Tristan. But Harry takes his time with Tristan, getting to know him and showing him that love is a two-way street of respect, want and need, it is give and take, not just take.

Eddie, however, doesn’t take kindly to being told no and to spite Harry, Bull, and Spooks best efforts at keeping Tristan safe, Eddie takes what he wants. Zach, his friends and the three bears try to weave their way through corrupt cops, jealous one-night stands and a seriously psychotic ex boyfriend in their efforts to find Tristan and save him from Eddie’s dark desires.

I have wanted Tristan to find someone to love him. I mean really love him, since the truth about his relationship with Eddie was uncovered. Tristan is this bundle of energy wrapped up in a sexy little curly-haired package. It was so disheartening for me to see the toll Eddie’s perversions took on his glowing personality.

It was as if Eddie was drawn to the ray of light and made it his mission in life to break the bulb. So when Harry finally gets his hands on the little twink and shows him patience, understanding, passion, and sensuality, it was a thing of beauty. And then to learn that Harry himself was once mistreated by someone he loved, that he craves the love Tristan can give him in return, well that just knocked their love story up a notch.

I simply cannot get enough of Andrew Grey’s imagination. Whether its comedy, suspense, romance, or drama, Grey can write it. Bronco’s is all about the big, scary bears that meet their match in the men they fall in love with. But there is one more twink, the fourth musketeer, that needs to find his happy ever after away from the flashing lights and seduction of sexy men. I wonder if one determined cop might be his match? I guess we’ll find out in the next book!

While I always recommend reading series in order, you could probably read this book without having read the first two and not be totally lost. But why would you want to?! I suggest starting at the beginning so you can catch the Bull by his horns.

Review: This is the second edition for both of these stories. This is part of the Faith, Love, & Devotion series and I would suggest reading book one first. It tells you about what happened in their lives to bring them to where they are now.

In this book, you have two separate stories to enjoy.
I have always loved Tere’s stories. They are what a true life would go through. I quite enjoyed it, although parts of the story make me wonder if they will be together for life. It is the way they still seem to have fears even after years are gone by. Then there is the oldest girl, she makes me want to just smack her upside the head.

Cherished ♥♥♥♥4Hearts
It is the time for joy and love, what with the holidays coming up. With many mistakes, what with family and friends they have things to overcome. Evan’s oldest daughter still has trouble with the fact that her mother is dead and is treating Matt like shit for it. She has a boyfriend that she wants to introduce but she has failed to tell her boyfriend and his family about the fact that her dad is with Matt. It, of course, backfires on him, but there are many issues still to deal with.

Blessed ♥♥♥♥4Hearts
They are basically on vacation and are enjoying their friends and having fun. A friend is due to have her baby, another set are trying to figure out what they want in live and what they want to do. Matt and Evan are being pulled apart by their jobs, but somehow have to let it slide by them. They just need to focus on their love and family. Things are changing for them all and they just need to flow with it.

Overall, this is a wonderful book that makes you smile and laugh at parts and at others tear your hair out. The way it was told did leave me with a bit of questions, but in the end it did not turn me from the book.

It gave me almost everything I could want in a story and I would definitely recommend reading it. However start with book one because otherwise their lives and how they got to where they are at now is a bit confusing without it. I had a blast with it and look forward to reading the next book.

Review: A story about two doctors who basically want to be with each other but one keeps the other and everyone else at a distance. Isaac has been wanting Declan for a while it’s just a matter of breaking through his shell to the real man underneath. Things change when they find a baby abandoned outside.

Declan was very closed off to everyone. He finally gives in and tells Isaac he grew up in the foster system. Once he holds the baby though his walls begin to crack.
Really enjoyed this wonderfully written story and reading how these men slowly came together when one needed the other. There is a lot of drama throughout as well as some hot sex between Declan and Isaac.

Great read.

Review: Shannon and Gray are committed to their relationship, pack, and family. But lately, between raising three little girls and Gray’s job at the hospital, the relationship part needs a little more attention. So when Declan and Quinn offer to watch the girls so Shannon and Gray can have a date night, it’s an offer they can’t resist.

Gray takes Shannon back to the hotel where they first claimed each other with the mate bond and the spark that has simmering just under the surface for weeks, finally ignites.

This is by far my favorite MM Shifter series. Tyler always pays extra attention to those little details and nuances that make each couple in her stories unique. Shannon and Gray are all but overwhelmed with the responsibilities of raising the girls, but they are determined to make sure each of them knows how much they love each other.

Stolen moments and kisses in the few minutes in between bottles, dinners, and bedtime stories just aren’t enough right now. They have a mutual itch that must be scratched.

Short, Sexy and Steamy! And just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Finally daring to enter a gay bar by himself, he meets Alex Martinez, a celebrity’s publicity agent, and the two men connect on all kinds of levels. Despite the pressure of Alex’s job, which takes him out of town soon after he and Edward connect, Edward feels he may just have met the man who can give him something to live for.

Things look good until Edward’s wild roommate Troy, needs a lift to a party where ‘sex, drugs and rock’n’roll’ are the order of the day. Reluctantly Edward agrees to drive Troy to the party, but before he can leave, he becomes the victim of a vicious incident that could shatter the hopes he had for the future.

Alex is there to lend support but he is haunted by a tragic past, and in the present is torn between an old loyalty and the wish to make Edward a lasting part of his life.

Review: I really enjoy reading JP Bowie’s writing. He always writes a fun and engaging story and All I’ll Ever Need is certainly no different. And a man who can crowbar two of my favourite authors (John Grisham and Diana Gabaldon) into a book has to get marks there too! Speaking of sticking some pop culture references, it’s somewhat charming to even get a real life celebrity “cameo”.

Though, damn it, through this entire book I had the Matchbox 20 song, similarly named ‘That’s All That I Need’, stuck in my head since reading the title of this book. But since I like the band and the song, that’s okay, it’s just on an album I’ve not heard in years!

This isn’t your usual Hollywood romance, MM or otherwise, which is what really sets it apart. In fact, it’s Hollywood mixed with small-town-boy-moving-to-big-city mixed with growing up mixed with sex-drugs-and-rock ‘n’ roll. There is a lot of fun but there is also one serious issue prominent throughout: drug use.

This is about small town Southern boy, Edward, moving to LA – he just wanted, needed, to get away from his Bible-bashing, narrow-minded family and so-called friends after admitting he was gay. LA was just like a beacon of hope with multitudes of gay bars and same-sex marriage. In LA he meets, Alex. Alex works in PR for the rich and famous, one of his closest friends is an actress, which is the start of his complicated past so I won’t say any more.

Edward and Alex have some stunning chemistry. In fact, their issues don’t come from each other but from the people around them directly impacting on their lives. Their pasts do come into play somewhat but it is the people of the “here and now” that are most instrumental to the plot of this book. That being said, the minor characters involved are for the most part very interesting.

I have to admit I particularly liked the development in minor character, Troy, who started out as Edward’s obnoxious and not at all nice housemate. Another two honourable mentions for minor characters is Mark McLennan and Lena Miles (you’ll just have to read why they got the mention here!).

Overall, if you love a good Hollywood, this is a brilliant one to go for. It doesn’t involve famous though fictional big actors or directors, but the feeling is still there. If you like, the boy moving to the city type of thing, this is especially for you.

Review: Wouldn’t it be great to have a town that is all like-minded people? Where everyone is Gay or gay-friendly? That’s what cattle valley is. Asa Montgomery, a man with money enough to buy a town (or two) worked hard with his friends to build Cattle Valley. It wasn’t easy but now it’s filling up fast. It is getting so full that now they are having to take applications for new residents.

Asa has sold most of his businesses and focuses on Montgomery enterprises the software company that keeps Cattle Valley going and gives him more time with his sexy Italian husband Mario.

A call from Joseph about one of his boys being stabbed has Asa seriously considering buying the quaint Lobster Cove that Mario has shown him a few days ago.

This is book 32 of the Cattle Valley series. You probably could read this without reading the others as Carol is good at dropping a bit of information so you do know the characters. And there are a lot of characters. I really do think it is best though if you have read the series.

This looks like a setup for a new series and I am doing the happy dance! I love Cattle Valley and am looking forward to more of these men and lots of new men and new situations.

This also gives us more on Cullen and Joseph.

So if you like Millionaires (or billionaires) sexy gym workers, ex-priests that run homeless boys shelters, and are looking for a new series to follow this is for you. Oh, don’t forget some hot man-sex!

Blurb: Lessons learned from past betrayals can protect Colby Vincent’s heart, or cost him a chance at happiness he never thought to have.

Colby thought he’d never let anyone close again after being betrayed by everyone he loved, but one closeted, stubborn oilfield worker with a penchant for dressing like a cowboy seems determined to out himself and win Colby’s heart. It’s as if Hunter Talamentez walked right out of Colby’s fantasies and into the convenience store where Colby works.

But Hunter is closeted, and he’s never considered changing that. He’s got his homophobic cousin with him, a family that he knows won’t support him if they know the truth about who he is and a job where being out could get him hurt. He resigned himself to spending his life alone until he gets to know Colby. Then he embarks on a journey with Colby that will change their lives if only they both find the strength to take a few chances.

Nothing comes easily, and learning to give from the heart when that heart has been shattered twice before might be more than Colby is capable of. He isn’t sure about having more than a fling with Hunter, yet he can’t seem to stay away from the man, either. What was meant to be one night together turns into more, and Colby loses his ability to keep Hunter at the safe distance he’d wanted.

Review: Ballotsville isn’t a very accepting town. At least Colby hasn’t found it to be. Most people have ignored him or refused to shop on his shift as if gay is contagious. He doesn’t care. He is out, doesn’t flaunt his sexuality, but refuses to hide who he is. He works two jobs since his rich family tossed him out as soon as he turned 17 with only a suitcase of clothes.

He doesn’t have boyfriend since if there is anyone in town gay they are hidden in the closet. He has a fantasy guy that is tall, and brawny in jeans, pearl button shirt, silver belt buckle, cowboy hat, and cowboy boots.

Hunter is living in the closet and has never considered coming out. He stays busy working the oil rigs to send home money to his mom and has his bigoted cousin to keep an eye on that can’t stay out of trouble. Once he meets Colby in the convenience store and at his other job, he begins to wonder how long he can hide. The more he sees the sexy clerk the more he wants to get to know him.

This is another beautifully written story by Bailey Bradford. There are so many lessons of acceptance and love to be learned in this one story. I fell in love with every single character from Colby, to the sassy Christy he works with and of course Hunter. Bailey paints a poignant picture with words.

I could see Hunter in his cowboy clothes and the expression on Colby’s face the first time he saw him in his regular clothes and not work clothes. My heart went out to Colby. I could feel his pain and loneliness. Oh and the sex is so sizzling hot! It is explicit there is a lot of it but it’s always so well done!

If you’re looking for the perfect story to pull you in and keep you entertained for a few hours, this is it. If you like, hunky heroes, tough out and proud gay men, sassy chicks and happy endings this is the perfect book for you. I forgot to mention how smoking hot it is! Turn on the fans!

Review: Seems like we have been waiting forever for this latest installment to the Sizzling Miami series, The Protector, by Jessie G. It hasn’t really been that long but when you are invested in the characters, it’s hard to wait. However, the wait is over, and Holy Hell, it was so worth it. This author has a way of taking damaged, broken men, and giving them something to cling to, something to hope for, and ultimately, the chance of love.

For seven years, Saul has nursed, pampered, cared for, and protected the heart and soul of Javier Escardo. Knowing retribution would one day be his for the torture and horrific acts done to his boys physical and mental well-being, Saul finds it hard to forget. When Javi kneeled at Saul’s feet all those years ago, he knew then he would do whatever it took to protect and care for this innocent young man.

As you read the story, you will discover everything that these two went through and endured in order to have the freedom they have today. However, that freedom still comes with a heavy weight on their shoulders knowing that one day the man responsible for all of their nightmares would come to collect.

Saul and Javi have a unique relationship. They have spent years healing from the past and Saul does anything and everything to ensure Javi is loved and taken care of. The one thing they don’t have…is a sexual relationship. I understand their reasons behind it, however, I had a hard time believing that for seven years they hadn’t even as much as kissed, until now.

Before Javi was pushed into Saul’s care he was a badass dominant who loved to wield his whip for any willing sub. Some of those same things that Saul enjoyed performing at the club were also some of the same things that broke Javi. Yes, the abuse was from a monster but, for fear of losing him again, Saul put those things behind him and never looked back.

Javi knows or at least he thinks he knows that Saul misses being a Dom and having a sub, he can work over. He starts introducing a plan to bring a third into their relationship in hopes of bridging the gap between them.

Kip aka Kyle has been a porn star for 10 years. He is more than ready to leave that part of his life behind and see what his future holds. Sitting in a café one day, minding his own business, he becomes mesmerized by the beautiful and loving couple across from him. As they share an intimate kiss, he gets caught staring at them and instead of the couple being mad they flirt with him. Running into them again just a day or two later he takes his chances with the couple and tells them what he wants. Since Javi and Saul were thinking about a third anyway, finding Kyle just cements their decision.

Saul is not willing to jeopardize the progress Javi has made over the years. He needs Kyle to understand that Javi comes first if they are going to try this type of relationship. Kyle understands more than they realize. He sees how Saul treats Javi with kid gloves. He sees how Javi looks at Saul with so much love and adoration. But, before they can really get into any type of relationship, Kyle has to finish his contract as a porn star.

When his time is up, he knows he should go in the other direction but he is pulled back to the two men hoping to have just a small part of their world.

There is so much going on in this story it’s not possible to break it down in a few short sentences. Behind the scenes are a whole cast of characters that have a lot of stuff going on. Also, the time has come to put an end to the evil monsters that have haunted them for many years. The plan they have concocted is not simple or easy. People will be hurt, trust will be broken, and some things will never be the same again.

Kyle returns just as they are about to put their plan into action. Saul is not happy, at all, that Kyle or Javi will be anywhere near the danger ahead. Even though Kyle is new to their relationship and family, they know they have a connection. Watching Saul realize and finally accept that he can have the things he has been missing out on with Kyle was captivating. Saul needs to be in control and Javi needs to nurture. Bringing Kyle into their home allows for all of those things to come together beautifully.

The world fell away when Saul kissed him. It was neither brutal nor vicious. It was all consuming. Where before Saul poured all his desperation into the kiss, the beast took and kept on taking, devouring everything that he was until all that was left was a whimpering shell of a man. Then the beast gave and kept on giving, filling him with lust, strength, and love until he thought he would burst with it. Then it started all over, shattering him completely before rebuilding him even stronger.

There is mystery and suspense that will have you holding your breath in fear of who will come out alive and in one piece. There is a lot of misunderstandings and lack of communication between Saul and Javi. They have been consumed by protecting the other and become so wrapped up in doing the right thing they miss so much of what should have been so plain to see. Thankfully, Kyle does see and is determined to set things right between them.

One of the things Kyle needs out of the relationship is a sexual and intimate connection. Saul and Javi just had sex for the first time in seven years right before they meet Kyle. I admit I felt a little cheated by not being able to experience that monumental moment with them. A lot of their interaction was off page leaving it to your imagination. Not all of their moments are off page and the ones that we do get to experience are H.O.T. and even though it’s winter. You may have to get out the fan.

The Protector, like the first two books in this series, is a story of strength, perseverance, and love. These amazing characters selflessly give so much of themselves to the person or people they love, supporting each other, caring for each other, and loving each other so much that they are always in tune with the other. Anticipating each other’s wants and desires is something they all strive for and it is a beautiful thing.

This is a great story that I would highly recommend and even if you don’t like the aspect of a threesome, the author handles this cleverly and without jealously or hurt feelings. If you don’t like BDSM in your stories, please don’t let that hold you back either. It is discussed but is not the focus nor is it played out in their interactions. The control and demands are obeyed mentally showing a much more powerful hold.

I think this book could easily be read as a standalone but it would make a lot more sense in some aspects if you knew the back-story. If you have an opportunity to read the first two I would definitely recommend them. This great series offers suspense, mystery, action-packed drama, beautiful relationships, and great sex. It has it all. The cast is made up of several men all damaged in some way and all looking for love. I can’t wait to see whose story is up next in the Sizzling Miami series.

Yet when Derek writes back, admitting his worries about never finding a true partner, Macon can’t help but reply, sharing his own feelings from the safety of anonymity.

Review: This is an incredibly sweet and an incredibly cute story, although for any postgraduates or academics that are single this Valentines, it might hit a bit close to home.
But it is fun. What this essentially is two men – both academics, at least one is a professor – getting to know each other through anonymous notes. Not exactly, something you hear about often these days and this is what adds to the charm of the story.

Macon is a post-doctoral academic and he is painfully shy despite being a brilliant teacher. He is quick to see kindness but as he puts it, he’s “almost a hermit”. However, he is lonely and uncertain of how to approach people, let alone the man that he is attracted. Macon shares his office with Professor Derek Chandler. He’s a bit down in the dumps because of a recent breakup and with Valentine’s Day approaching, he realises just how lonely he feels.

I’ll suspend my disbelief that these guys who have shared an office space for approximately two years are only just getting to know each other because I know myself and my office mates could not be like that. Then again, I realise that this is meant to demonstrate how socially awkward Macon is.

This is a fun, quick and charming read and purely for the romance.

The two men clash from the start as James struggles to help Matt rebuild his shattered body and heal his crushed soul. The bond they form is forged in fire and ice, and the wounds they inflict on one another can only be erased by Matt’s admission that he can’t live without James’s loving touch.

Review: (Warning. This book does contain some violence and harsh language. The blurb above pretty much explains the story so I won’t repeat it.

Matt has some deep-seated anger issues. He is spoiled, conceited, homophobic, and downright mean. I can see why after the accident he is like this but it is evident that this isn’t new for him.

James is almost too good to be true and can see inside Matt something no one else can.

I absolutely loved this story. Yes, I know Matt is a horrible person and mean, but I love a good, bad boy antagonist and Matt fits the bill. He had to have some good in him for his friends to be so loyal.

I love a story where the knight in shining armor is the underdog that comes in to save the big bad meanie. And James was a wonderful example of this. James may have been almost too good to be true but he shows us later on that he can hold his own.

Once you start reading this book you can’t put it down. I was up to the wee hours of morning to see what would happen next. There was twist after twist. I will say I was pleased with the ending.

If you like angst. Lots of angst, mean antagonists, spoiled rich brats, sexy sweet male nurses, and lots of very hot mansex this is definitely for you.

Review: Each book in Into the New World collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order. There is nothing better than a good paranormal romance with two gorgeous men involved. There is something about the way that Frey tells a story that will not only draw you in and keep your attention the whole time. The characters are beautifully written with big hearts, however if you cross them, they have no problem putting you down. They will protect their mates with their entire lives. I had a blast reading this story. This story is perfect for when you are trying to take a break.

Micah saved Erik’s life when he bonded with him to get him away from the witch that held him prisoner. He had no realized that it basically mated them. He wasn’t so sure what to think about it, even though he did want Erik. He felt like he didn’t deserve his mate. However, he was turned on all the time.

Now that his master had been killed, he was running on hope. That ended when his home’s leader wanted him back. He wanted to beat, torture and possibly rape him. He was terrified and even more so. His family was in danger from the man. Now he could only pray and hope they find a way to save his mother and father.

Erik was saved by Micah and loved the fact that he was bonded to the little man. He did love to tease him by calling him pretty, although his mate did have a feisty attitude about it. He was slowly falling in love with the man who save him and bonded with him. He would do everything in his power to keep him safe.

I absolutely love this book almost as much as I have loved the other’s in this series. I can’t wait to read the next story. When Frey puts out a book, I am usually there to eat them up. They do have a bit of a serious tone to them but there is a bit of humor in them that I love. It caught my attention from the moment I started reading and kept it all the way to the end. It also gave me almost everything I could want in a book.

I would definitely recommend reading this book. Trust me it will keep you laughing, crying, loving, and having fun.

Review: Really enjoyed this addition to the Aurigan Space Series. There were a lot of different things going on throughout this story from a battle, sabotage to personal attacks from other crewman. Loved the pace of the book and how smooth a read it was.

Jack finds love as well as Pattisson but not with each other. The couples that formed seemed well matched and of course, they didn’t form right away. It was a slow build with drama.

The fight scenes and interrogations were intense. The sex was hot.

Great read.

Review: An innocent trip to a local shop to buy batteries will change Terry’s life, again, but this time for the better. When Terry was in high school, he witnessed a seemingly brutal gay bashing. In shock, Terry was unable to move, much less respond to what was happening. Now several years later, life brings the victim of that unwarranted attack back into Terry’s life.

Ishmael has never forgotten what happened that day, or the fact that Terry just stood there and did nothing to stop the attack, or get him any help after. But the hatred he has harbored quickly evaporates when he learns that he and Terry weren’t and aren’t so different after all. Both men have struggled with life since that fateful day and finally have a chance at happiness, together.

This was a super short story about life coming full circle. It reads as an insta-love story, but if you actually pay attention to the words, a lot of time passes as Terry and Ishmael become familiar with each other over lunches in the park. You definitely need to be able to read between the lines to appreciate this love story as it grows. And while

I would love to read a longer story for these two, I thought the author did a good job of setting the stage, telling the story, and conveying the characters thoughts and needs.
If you are looking for a fast read with a decent plot and some cute romance then this is the perfect novella for you.
