Unbeknownst to the MC, Trick indulges his most dangerous secret, traveling out of state twice a year to trade his cut for the whip he expertly wields at a gay dungeon.

Trick’s well organized life takes a turn when he saves bar back, and terrified submissive, Chase Ward in a Georgia dungeon. With his protector and dungeon owner dead, Chase is no longer safe in the place he once called home. A year later the MC is still none the wiser that Trick’s houseboy is anything more than a grateful servant. Chase knows if the club finds out they will kill Trick, the man he’s come to rely on for everything from the food he eats to the pleasure he feels to the security he craves. That is until a bomb explodes at the club, leaving Chase fighting for his life and forcing Trick to face his long hidden feelings.

Even if Chase survives, that bomb has done more than rock the foundation of the popular leather club. Talk Dirty To Me

(Devil’s Pride MC 02)

As a secret agent for the DEA, Snake’s gone deep into Devils Pride MC with the hope of bringing down the head of Miami’s lucrative drug trade and finds himself saddled with the club’s volatile and secretive SA instead. Unfortunately, after years as partners doing shit neither of them wanted to do for reasons neither of them felt comfortable sharing, Snake considers Trick his best friend. Now he’ll do anything to repair the damage his own necessary lies did to their friendship because, while Trick may have walked away from the MC, Snake needs someone he trusts to have his back.

Meanwhile, Snake’s contact at the DEA has him tied up in knots. The sexy voice and inappropriate comments have him walking around with a permanent set of blue balls. Life undercover is lonely and he lives for every phone call, but his own personal Deep Throat is skittish about committing to a date once Snake returns to headquarters. As far as Snake’s concerned, they only have one shot to build something together and he’s not willing to waste it.

Greg knows he’s not Snake’s type, or anyone’s for that matter. Former love interests called him plain, chubby, and boring. More comfortable in his tech cave than with people, he’s a grade A nerd who isn’t exactly GQ material. Normally he would never be brave enough to flirt with anyone—much less the very hot and very dangerous ginger who’d been starring in his nightly fantasies—but Snake needed something to keep him from getting lost undercover. What started out as a helping hand quickly became an integral part of their relationship—if one could call a five year phone conversation a relationship—and Greg is terrified that once Snake’s sees the wizard behind the curtain, he’ll lose the only man he’s ever loved.

Now the DEA has called Snake home to plan the next stage of the mission, leaving Greg no more places to hide. When fantasy and reality collide, will it be everything Snake hopes for or everything Greg fears? The trick will be staying alive long enough to figure out the answer.

Two years later, they’ve succeeded beyond their wildest expectations, but there’s still a couple of things missing…and they’re ready to make them happen.

Bad boy biker Trick wouldn’t hesitate to fight for those he loves, but Ty knows it will take more than violence to win this war. Willfully submissive Chase has the utmost faith in his Master, but when he sees Ty struggling with demons from his past, it will be his quiet, unbending support that will see them through. Jumping through the loopholes of family court, they are only one event shy of making it all official and neither are willing to wait another second to check it off the list.

Clearing the path for adoption should reassure them, but it will take their cast of well-meaning friends and the occasional slap upside the head before they realize that the ties that bind them together are forged in a love that can never be taken away.

Review: Have you ever felt that you have nothing to offer another person, physically? You look in the mirror and all you see are blemishes, runaway hair, too overweight, and your self-esteem plummets. That’s what Greg sees when he looks at himself.

Oh, he’s super smart, quirky, a little too nerdy, maybe a tad snarky. After all, he does work for the FBI as an Assistant Supervisor Special Agent in the Intelligence Division so of course he also has mad computer skills. Being assigned to Snake (Gene to Greg) who is undercover in the Devil’s Pride MC as his handler is something Greg takes very seriously. Gene’s life is on the line and he relies on fast and correct information being fed to him through the phone by Greg.

What starts out as simple flirting, and it is simple and fun because it’s over the phone and not face to face, turns into a five-year relationship. Snake is on one of the longest undercover assignments ever and Greg has taken on the responsibility of making sure Gene doesn’t lose himself in the process. He may be Snake to everyone in the motorcycle club and even to his other agents in the FBI, but he will always be Gene to Greg.

Over the five-year assignment, Greg and Gene have reached a very intimate comfort level with each other. During their nightly phone conversations, they share their personal lives with each other. They talk about family, goals and dreams, and they share fantasies and have even gone as far as acting them out together, over the phone.

For Greg, it’s heaven because Gene only hears his voice and he will never see what he looks like and that allows Greg to be more open and honest and try things with Gene that face to face he would never have the guts to do. However, Snake is coming out from being undercover and the first place he wants to go is to see Greg. It’s time. And, he’s more than ready to make their shared fantasies a reality.

Greg is freaking out because after five years, he will finally see the man of his dreams. He starts to doubt and question everything about himself, about their friendship/relationship, and how Gene will, no doubt, be completely turned off by the real person. His self-esteem is hanging by a thread and it would be much easier to cancel his “date” with Gene. His insecurities are winning the fight and he’s ready to bow out, quietly.

Of course, Gene knows Greg, just as intimately, so he predicts Greg will spit and sputter his way out of their date and he’s not going to let that happen. Gene has already fallen in love with the voice, the pictures, the promises they’d made, so glasses, messy hair, and a paunchy belly have no bearing on his decision to be with Greg, in every way possible.

“I like what I see. More importantly, I really like what I know.” Gene shook his head, a touch of frustration in his gaze. “With me, you never have to pretend to be something you’re not. I’m already hooked, don’t you get that?” –Snake/Gene

Being back with the Devil’s Pride MC was intense and invigorating. Snake is only away from the undercover operation for three weeks and then he has to go back. During his time away from the MC, he spends as much time with Greg as possible and even though Greg continues to be self-conscious about his appearance they spend quite a bit of time in the bed, under the sheets, putting into play their fantasies.

Gene may come across as a hardened criminal, hardcore gang member, and/or a man who would just as soon kill you as to look at you, but that is Snake, not Gene. Gene is very romantic and he works tirelessly trying to convince Greg that he means what he says. He’s attracted to Greg sexually but also mentally. He loves everything about him and over time, hopefully, Greg will learn to see himself as Gene sees him.

Throughout the story, there is a continuous vibe of danger and suspense always running in the background. Snake has a mission, and with his friends by his side, such as Ty Malone and Alaric Bennett, and of course, Greg digging constantly for vital information, they have a plan to bring down the scum of human traffickers and drug lords within the MC.

Jessie G is a master at weaving suspense and theories back and forth and as the reader you begin to question everyone’s motives. Someone is leaking information, possibly ratting our informants and operatives and until that person is caught, no one is safe. You will be on the edge of your seat as they confront danger and you find yourself in constant fear of retaliation and you’re never quite sure who to believe.

All of these elements combined, along with the sex and dirty talk, create a powerful story of romance and intrigue. Who is leaking the information and putting everyone at risk? Will Snake be able to walk away from the MC without having to watch over his shoulder 24/7? And, if he does walk away, will Greg go with him? So many twists and turns, suspicion and deception, that you will be on pins and needles.

There are several new players that are brought in and I can’t wait to see how they play out in future stories. Everyone in the MC is not bad, in fact, most of them are not, but it’s really hard to tell who to trust and who to watch out for.

I’m looking forward to figuring it out.

A recommended read that can easily be a standalone, but reading the first book, Tricking Chase, will make your journey into this world of deception so much better. So much better.

To the casual observer, it looks like a dream trip. For Tate O’Reilly, it’s anything but. He’s a man on a mission to rectify a critical mistake, and there’s nothing to hold him back—certainly not friends or family. For Tate, it all comes down to one simple thing—he must fix what he has broken.

Review: This story, The Worst Bad Thing, by J.E. Birk caught me off guard. It wasn’t the story that I thought was going to play out after reading the blurb. That’s not a bad thing, however, quite the contrary because I really enjoyed the journey. The author is new to me, but I connected fairly easy to their writing style.

We meet Tate after something obviously bad has happened to him, we just don’t know what it is. As the story unfolds we get more clarity to what he has playing out in his mind and he obviously feels as though he needs to make penance for his mistakes. He’s suffered a terrible tragedy that he lives day in and day out, over and over, in his mind.

He’s on a mission to travel and see certain destinations such as Stonehenge, Iceland, London, and Paris. He has reasons for these particular places and he hopes it helps in some small way make up for what has happened. On the plane he meets Gabriel, someone he instantly feels attraction and starts a conversation. I think Tate felt a comfort with Gabe because he didn’t know him, he didn’t know what he had done, and therefore he couldn’t judge him.

Gabe definitely was in the right place at the right time because he had a way with Tate that made him relax and remember what life was like before the accident. He’s very patient and understanding with Tate and only wants to do what he’s comfortable with. Gabe has his own reasons for going to London but while he has some extra free time he spends it with Tate and showing him the sights.

Tate and Gabriel have a lot in common. They, both, live in Denver, and while Tate is going through and experiencing PTSD right now in the present, Gabe has had his own battles with it in the past. He recognizes the signs giving him a better understanding of Tate.

As Tate and Gabe sightsee around London, Stonehenge, etc. I really was taken in by the way the author described what they were seeing or tasting. At times, I felt like I could see what they were looking at in that moment.

Even though Tate is enjoying his time with Gabriel, he doesn’t feel that he deserves that right. He hasn’t come clean completely with Gabe about everything that happened and he doesn’t plan too. However, an unexpected friend sees more to Tate and knows what dark thoughts he is carrying, and he takes matters into his own hands to try to help.

From the beginning, we know there has been a tragedy that affected a lot of people. Tate is young and cocky before the accident but now his life has been devastated and destroyed. I was really moved by the way the author puts the reader inside Tate’s head and we live there with him through the book. It’s a very emotional yet uplifting journey.

The angst level was low but at the same time Tate really pulls on your heartstrings. He’s suffered greatly for something that wasn’t necessarily his fault although it could have been prevented. Sometimes the best lessons in life are the ones where we have to make our own mistakes and pick up the pieces from there.

Tate isn’t really trying to pick up his pieces because he’s already decided how it’s going to play out, but sometimes our paths cross with something or someone entirely unexpected and it may just be the best thing that could happen instead of the worst bad thing.

Overall, I enjoyed this story and would recommend it to others. It is a story of hope and redemption. Some things fell into place a little too easily, but I believe fate was working to help Tate. I would love to see a follow-up with Tate and Gabriel making it back home and see if things continued to work out for them.

Most people would say being stranded in the villa of Spanish shipping magnate Miguel García Arquero on the beautiful isle of Ibiza wasn’t such a bad deal. But Hudson Barber isn’t one of them. To him, being stuck without a passport in a foreign country far from home is a nightmare, made worse by the fact that the person who did the stranding was his flighty twin brother.

Unwilling to turn Dalvon in for identity theft, Hudson is forced to wait, but meanwhile he discovers the chance to rehabilitate Miguel’s failing local businesses—enterprises left to Dalvon’s inexperienced care. The flagging ventures are a badly wrapped gift from heaven, and if Hudson can turn them around, he might be able to leverage the experience to finish his MBA.

Then Miguel returns to Ibiza, and instead of finding a boy toy, he discovers Hudson has turned his cold villa into a warm, welcoming home. Miguel’s path is clear: convince Hudson to lay down his defenses and let love in.

Review: Mary Calmes is probably my number one all-time favorite author in this genre. Whether it’s contemporary or paranormal makes no difference. She has the capability to take a story, give it two main characters, a well thought out plot, and bam… the reader is sucked in with her words.

Jory and Sam are my favorite book characters, but now I have to add Hudson and Miguel to the list of favorites, as well. They will embed themselves in your heart and you won’t be able to get enough of them.

Lay It Down is a wonderful short story that will have you laughing and cheering from start to finish. Hudson and Dalvon are fraternal twins who have completely different goals from each other. Raised in foster homes taught them to go after their dreams, if for no other reason than to have something no one could take away from them. Hudson was the academic achiever, whereas Dalvon used his looks for modeling and living his life in luxury in Spain.

When Hudson travels abroad to visit his brother he finds out a whole lot more about him than he ever imagined. After he realizes his brother duped him and stole his passport there isn’t much for him to do other than make the best of it. He’s hoping he can pass the time quickly before Miguel, his brother’s supposed fiancé and owner of the villa, returns from his trip.

Here is where Calmes shines and takes the lead with her stories. She throws in just the right amount of alpha male and sometimes submissive characters that fit so perfectly together that you will have a smile on your face and tingles in your belly until the end.
Hudson and Miguel hit it off beautifully and complement each other in the best of ways.

They see the worth and what’s inside their hearts of each other as well as everyone else in their presence. The secondary characters add that little spice that keeps the story going plus you have a bit of suspense/thrill/mystery that keeps you on your toes.

An amazing, heartfelt story that I highly recommend to any lover of this genre. The sex is spontaneous and electrical between Hudson and Miguel which only intensifies their relationship.

Everything you could want in a contemporary story is here. 5 Hearts from me.

To honour the memory of his dead father, young footballer Todd Mackerson commits to his goal of playing for a professional team. When, at the age of 20, he is offered a place to train with one of England’s biggest clubs, he leaves home convinced his dream is about to come true..

Being warned by his new team mates of the tough rules and hard training routines, Todd is undeterred. But when he discovers that the player’s way of bonding borders on the sexual, and that he must learn to accept the erotic affections that connect the team together, he wonders how far he can go for his dream.

But, after experiencing the care and attention men can give to each other, Todd feels awakened. Learning that each player has a special “partner” on the team, who they play and bond with as intimately as lovers, Todd becomes fascinated with the idea.

And when he develops feelings for one player in particular, he discovers how a stronger kind of romance – that between two men – can be pure and powerful enough to bring magic and success on the pitch.

Those new bonds are constantly challenged by family intrusions, well-intentioned friends, their personal insecurities, and their dangerous careers—including a trial by fire when an old case of Miro’s comes back to haunt them.

Review: OMG, I love Fit to be Tied by Mary Calmes. It has everything you could possibly want in a story. Plus, the sex between these guys is off the charts, hot. Watching Ian find his pleasure with Miro is absolutely mind melting. He had no idea it could be like that especially since he never felt that way with women. Another plus, the humor is hilarious as they banter back and forth and you will be cracking up at some of their escapades.

Miro and Ian are the perfect combination of give and take. Ian has that rough, growly demeanor that makes you stand up and listen, and Miro has the voice of reason, gentler, laidback attitude, that makes you swoon. However, Miro can also be dominating and fiery when needed, and he knows when Ian needs him to take that control.

Together, these two can do anything but when they become separated, they sometimes allow that little devil in their head to take over – putting doubt and confusion in their minds.

Miro has never been happier than he is now since Ian has moved in and they are now partners off the job, as well as on. One of my favorite lines in the book is “Ian was still technically bi, but was exclusively now Mirosexual and wasn’t interested in trying the buffet.”

Even though he is thrilled with how their relationship is going he still can’t help but want more. If he could just get Ian to agree and stop being so pig-headed he knows the next step would put his mind to rest.

But, before anything can be worked out, action and drama take over and Miro finds himself in a heap of trouble. You may remember the evil, sadistic Hartley, from book 1 and his obsession for Miro. Well, he’s back and unfortunately, Miro seems to be his only agenda.

Mary Calmes takes us on a fast-paced, action-packed ride that will have you holding onto to the edge of your seat. You will be so wrapped up in the drama you will forget to breathe. The events taking place are intense and at times, horrifying. I kept saying, “She wouldn’t…would she?” Whether she did or not, you will have to read and find out but the fear is palpable and my heart was beating double time.

Away from those moments are many that are heartwarming and beautiful. Miro and Ian have found the love they deserve with each other. Ian, not used to having anyone stand up for him, gets emotional at the intensity of feelings Miro shows for him. It breaks my heart that Ian didn’t really know what love and being part of a family was until Miro showed him.

Of course, we also get to see a little of Sam Kage in action since he’s the boss and I always get tickled at Miro’s response to the big/brawny Marshal. If he could only see how he is with his own family he would be surprised at the passion that lies underneath those muscles.

I know I’m fangirling here, but this author has not written one thing I did not like. Most of what she has written, I have read numerous times and the Marshals series is no different. The descriptive narrative she has clicks with me and I’m pulled in every/single/time. I am constantly fighting myself to read faster vs. no…read slower so it will last longer.

Regardless, if you read fast or slow, you will be enthralled with the storyline. There is a lot of love going on and no matter if it is under the sheets or out in the day-to-day adventures these two have a strong connection with an abundance of hot chemistry.

I highly recommend this series to anyone who likes to read stories with a plot full of action and drama. This is not a standalone although I guess you could but you would miss so much back history that I would not advise it. There is a wonderful cast of characters including the strong and vibrant women that never hesitate to circle the wagons around Miro.

I love the parts with Chickie, the dog because he is family and shouldn’t be left out. The dialogue is fun and catchy and I know I had a smile on my face through most of the book. The sex is spontaneous and combustible so don’t be surprised if you catch yourself sweating a bit. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series and I will be eagerly anticipating its release.

Another great addition that I will re-read many times.

Review: Into the Team, by Rob Damon is his debut novel about a small boy, who lost his father at a very young age, growing into a man and fulfilling, both, their dreams of playing football. For those of us who live in America, we call it soccer, but it doesn’t change the dynamics of what the book is about, and that is team companionship/spirit/support/connections to your fellow team member.

Todd has dreamed of playing football since he was a small boy. He’s now twenty and it looks like his dream is coming true. As he is driven to an undisclosed location, by a football scout, he hates to get his hopes up for what this could mean.

He soon finds out that he is being offered a spot on one of England’s biggest clubs and he is ecstatic.

In the locker room, Todd sees two players in the shower together and this really confuses him. He’s pretty sure they were touching each other in a sexual way, but why isn’t anyone saying anything?

The more he learns about team dynamics and bonding the more questions play havoc with his head. When the boss notices Todd’s concern he pulls him into the office for a talk. His theory has proven that by partnering up with another team member, one that you connect with strongly, makes the flow of your skill on the field much better.

Todd doesn’t deny that knowing your team members and being able to anticipate their moves on the field works great but he is not sure about the intimacy he witnesses.
I really enjoyed this story and I liked the author’s writing style. I wasn’t sure how the story was going to play out, but I was intrigued enough to stay with it and basically read it in one sitting.

I wouldn’t consider this a romance, at all, more like a bro-mance. There isn’t any sex in the book, to speak of, and but there is touching and kissing. Most is handled off page allowing the reader to use their imagination.

With that said, there are moments of intimacy between the players that are very realistic and sweet, bordering on hot and sensual. The more comfortable Todd becomes with the team, the more he is at ease with expressing his feelings. At first, he’s very reserved and almost bashful, but he soon gives in wanting that connection with his teammate.

He does start to question his sexuality, however, and wonders if he is gay or at least bi. His partner on the team is Daryl, who is very shy and keeps more to himself. He has never clicked with anyone on the team until Todd came along. These two have a history together and I was really hoping that it would bring them closer, off the field, as well as on.

The story flows along at a nice pace and the author spends most of his focus on the field or locker rooms where the players are learning to trust and form connections. There were some phrases that I was not familiar with since this happens in England but I wasn’t thrown from the story. At one point, I was completely under the author’s spell, when the guys were on the field and the author narrated the game, play-by-play.

I actually felt as though I was on the field watching, holding my breath, willing the ball to go into the net. It was intense and I think I held my breath through the whole game. Great job by the author with his detailed descriptive narrative.

The author, in my opinion, leaves the story open for the reader to form their own opinion as far as the HEA or HFN. I choose to believe that Todd and Daryl, both, have their happy ever after and I would love to see more about them in the future to see if I am right.

I would definitely recommend this story to other readers who like a story with heart. There is a scene where I had tears pouring down my face as Todd faces some of his past about his dad. It was a beautiful and heartfelt moment and the author had my undivided attention. Then, there were moments that had me smiling from ear to ear celebrating their joy with them.

Overall, the story was very moving and I would definitely read more from this author.

The Last Nights of the Frangipani Hotel by Bey Deckard

Author: Bey Deckard
Genre: Contemporary
Length: Novella (78 Pages)
Publisher: Bey Deckard (September 12th, 2015)

Blurb: All James wanted was a little solitude at his favorite resort: bright sunshine overhead, soft, white sand underfoot, and a hammock to read in while the warm breeze rustles through the coconut palms and almond trees. However, when an old acquaintance shows up, and James is obliged to share “his” beach, a profound exchange over a bottle of rum leads to a lust-fuelled encounter in the dark.

Reeling from the intensity of the drunken tryst, James decides to cut his vacation short rather than face what he’s kept hidden under mountains of denial.

However, his escape is thwarted when Rudie, handsome and plainspoken, calls him out on his behavior and makes him see that life needn’t be spent running away from his desires.

Set at a rundown old resort on a small Caribbean island, The Last Nights of The Frangipani Hotel is a story about letting go of fear and learning that passion and love can be found in the most unexpected of places.

Review: As the author narrates the story, mostly threw the voice of James, an actor on hiatus who craves silence and a solitary existence, we find him where he vacations on an island in the Caribbean surrounded by the solitude he craves. The Last Nights of the Frangipani Hotel will pull you in, as though you are there on the island watching from the distance.

Bey Deckard is a masterful storyteller and with his descriptions and details that set up the backdrop of this story, you have a perfect visual of two men, both different yet so much alike, looking to belong…to something or someone.

Rudie, also an actor, stumbles onto “James’s beach” looking for his own rest and relaxation. At first, James is a little put out that he now has company encroaching on his island, as he likes to refer to it, but he soon realizes that having company is not so bad.

James’s denial runs deep about his wants and desires but the hidden truths that have plagued him for many years are starting to surface, as he watches Rudie from a distance. The big question is will he be able to accept the change that Rudie has brought out in him? Will he be able to turn his brain off and enjoy their moments together?

James has a couple of bouts of panic but Rudie brings him back with his words and understanding. He even experiences a bit of jealousy and is surprised by the intensity of his feelings. However, he knows their time is coming to an end and he wants to make the most of it.

Rudie has darker needs that he is not afraid to voice. As their last days dwindle down, James succumbs to his own needs that are no longer hidden in the recesses of his mind. Giving Rudie what he begs for without restraint and an urgency he has never felt with anyone else, he accepts his true self.

“Teeth bared, I nearly shook with panic and anger and desire as I pushed his legs apart. He didn’t resist. I threw myself down on him, my weight sinking him into the mattress as I grasped my cock and guided it, thrusting into him hard.”
— James

Their time together behind the shutters and closed doors are sometimes rough and miscalculated, but no less intense and moving. They also share pieces of themselves with no expectations in the light of day.

James arrived on the island a lonely and somewhat critical man but he will leave with a new outlook on his future and new possibilities to explore. He finds himself smiling at what lies ahead, but more importantly…the man that he will see.

An incredible short story that is packed full of emotions and new discoveries. If you read, The Complications of T, you will catch a small reference that will bring a smile to your face and if you didn’t it wasn’t relevant enough to throw you off kilter.

Bey Deckard is brilliant with writing lyrical prose and this story is no different with its smooth and flawless execution. One of the things I love best reading stories by this author is I always learn something. Whether it’s new words, phrases, or a spot on the map, I always take away new knowledge and I love that.

I highly recommend this novella to anyone who loves to fall into a story where the author cloaks you with words and descriptions and you are mesmerized until the end.

Mischief: Episode 3 by Nicholas Bella

Blurb: “Holy crap, I learned today, that you don’t piss off Adriel!”

Having located a mutilated corpse of a young man in a dumpster, I realize how serious the demon problem is. The markings on the body are the same as the markings on the other dead bodies that I was told about. That means one thing, I have to check out this club and the sooner the better. If that doesn’t keep my plate full, I still have to deal with demon bad boy King, Adriel and Raphael, my pain-in-the-butt mate, both want to control my life, or rather sex life, at least. First things first, find out who’s killing people in my city.

Warning: This serial contains strong adult content not meant for sensitive eyes, so don’t expect any roses or chocolates or touchy-feelies. The novelettes in this serial will be filled with dark, twisted, raunchy and steamy scenes between powerful, sexy men and women that will either offend you or get ya revved up. This series will not be pulling any punches, and it won’t apologize for hurting your feelings, either. You’ll find no fluff and ruffles here. These demons play hard and they fight dirty. There are approximately 30100 words in this novelette.

Review: As Brian and Sheila drive around on patrol they get pulled over when someone finds a body in the dumpster. Brian has a bad feeling but since he can only secure the area and not investigate he leaves it alone. Unfortunately, later that evening, while undercover for the society, he starts putting pieces together. It appears the demonic killings may be the same as the ones related to his human world.

He also realizes that Raphael has not taught him near enough to understand this new part of his life. The Society is not that forthcoming either with information so Brian is walking on eggshells hoping he has the right answers. He keeps making deals that I’m afraid are going to haunt him.

We got a small taste of Adriel in Initiated. However, it was enough to know that he is a very powerful King. In Mischief, we get to see some of his power at work. He’s not impressed with Brian’s disrespect and lack of understanding in the demon world, which is mostly Raphael’s fault, and punishes them both for their insolence.

A new demon is introduced known as a Takata demon. Daylen can give different types of torment, but he will be pleasuring Brian and Raphael. You may wonder how that could be a punishment, but too much pleasure can be torment, especially when hours go by and you are not allowed to orgasm.

Adriel’s goal is to make Brian accept his new role as an Agoto but also accept his role as Raphael’s mate. He wants him to acknowledge that he loves the pleasure from Raphael and he should return the favor, and like it.

Brian does like it, a lot in fact, but it’s hard for him to not only accept these new feelings but to acknowledge them aloud. Before he became a demon, he was 100% straight and never looked twice at a man. That has since changed but he’s not ready to admit these uncomfortable feelings.

Regardless to all the new and confusing feelings and changes going on with Brian, he still has a job to do for the Society. He continues to grapple with his human morals and has a hard time taking an innocent persons life, just because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Trying to take on the attitude that sacrificing one person to save many may be the only thing that will get him through this undercover assignment.

The author continues to raise the stakes on each new episode. I enjoy finding out more information each time which throws us more and more into this demonic world with Brian. We, the readers, are learning just as Brian is learning so a lot of the time this causes me to hold my breath in anticipation or fear, depending on the circumstance, hoping Brian doesn’t take the wrong turn.

Nicholas Bella knows how to write sexy scenes that demand your full attention. As the Takata demon gets busy pleasuring Raphael and Brian, the author shows the level of creativity his imagination can go. I’m not going to spoil it for you by telling you how he pleasures them because each reader needs to experience it as it unfolds but I will say that Nicholas continues to surprise me, every… single…time.

One thing you should know about this author, if you don’t already, he will push your imagination to new heights and he doesn’t write the same scenes over and over. It’s intense and refreshing. I shouldn’t be surprised by these new revelations, but I am each time. I find myself just shaking my head, smiling from ear to ear, and saying Wow…Nicholas, you are so freaking clever. Ha-ha.

One night of drunken horsing around in their hotel room leads to the most intensely personal violation Derek has ever endured. As if the humiliation of working under his attacker every day isn’t enough, Victor reports Derek for sexual harassment. Officer Russ Thomas has worked with rape victims before, and it doesn’t take him long to sort out the truth in Derek’s tale. With his support, Derek finally reports the crime, months after it happened. But restraining orders and lawyers further Victor’s anger toward him, and even though a relationship develops between Derek and the policeman, Russ can’t be there to protect him all the time.

Review: Violated, by Jamie Fressenden, is an in-depth look at what a man goes through after being the victim of a sexual assault/rape. I think most people probably assume men never go through this type of assault, but it’s just as likely to happen to men as it is to women.

Derek has been with his fiancé, Tim, for 5 years but their relationship is pretty rocky even on the best of days. Tim is constantly allowing jealousy to rule his thoughts and seems to always be looking for any reason to accuse Derek of cheating. He comes across as insecure, self-absorbed, and a tad controlling.

Derek puts up with it because he loves him, although I’m not sure he is IN love with him but, he is safe and comfortable, and he keeps thinking it will get better. I felt like Derek needed to have a stronger backbone when it came to Tim. I don’t think things are going to improve much after the 5 year mark if they haven’t already.

Convincing Tim to buy a cabin away from the city for peace and relaxation had Derek hoping they could enjoy some time together away from their hectic week. As soon as they meet, Russ, the neighbor, Tim turns into the ass that he is and thinks Derek will cheat on him.

Russ is a police officer who loves his dog and his cabin and wants someone to come home to each day. He dates but never seems to find anyone that he connects with that wants the same things. He finds Derek attractive and he likes his friendship, but he would never make a move on a man in a relationship.

Derek and Victor have been best friends for 20 years, and even though Victor is his boss, he is still the rude and crude friend he’s always known. When they have to go out-of-town on a business trip, too much alcohol allows Victor to assault/rape Derek.

I can’t help but think Victor would have done this eventually because he is crude and he took advantage of being drunk to force himself on Derek. His philosophy was Derek wanted him, has always wanted him, so he gave him what he’s been after. No…it doesn’t work that way and someone guilty of their actions always looks for an excuse to compensate for their behavior.

Derek is traumatized by what happens but he doesn’t tell anyone. This goes on for months until finally Victor feels threatened by Derek’s accusations so he files a complaint first against Derek. He tries to confide in Tim about what happened, since he has now lost his job. But, Tim doesn’t believe him and basically throws him out of his life.

Tim, imo, had been waiting on an excuse to move on without Derek and now he has one. Being 5 years into the relationship held no weight with him, at all.

The author shows Derek struggling to get on with his life after the assault. I think he hit the nail on the head with his emotions, thoughts, and actions. At times, I actually felt the fear that was consuming Derek. Every look or touch now has a different meaning and simple things he used to do… like using the gym showers after his workout, now cause major anxiety.

Russ is very patient and understanding with Derek. He wants to help him work through his fear and protect him. But, he can’t be there all the time and Derek, on more than one occasion, resents the fact that Russ is there waiting to step in and save him.

I don’t think it would be fair for me to say how he should have handled the situation or how he should have felt. No one knows how you would behave until you are in the same situation yourself. I do think the author was able to show that it is a process. It takes time, years even, and maybe never – to fully get over something of this magnitude. You probably just learn ways to deal with it and hopefully can build trust again with people closest to you.

Derek and Russ are a slow burn and they are trying to make it work. In fact, it has been three years since the incident and Derek is still working at getting past some of his fears. I appreciate that the author didn’t sweep this under the rug like nothing ever happened in order to wrap up the ending.

I find it hard to say I enjoyed this story because how can you enjoy reading about someone suffering from rape. I will say that I think the story was realistic and believable and I think the author showed the emotions very well. I became tense and caught myself holding my breath a few times depending on what was happening to and/or around Derek.

I wouldn’t call this a romance story either, although hopefully Derek and Russ can find common ground and will continue to work at building their future together. There isn’t really any sex in the story and it was appropriate for there not to be considering the fear that Derek held.

Some of Derek’s problem with being able to come to grips with what happened I believe stem from his childhood and upbringing. I would have liked to see a little more of that brought out in the story and maybe seen more character development with Derek.

The writing was well done and the execution was good. There could have been some things left out of the story that weren’t relevant, but overall the aftermath is very believable and causes you to really think about the issue.

Review: Bey Deckard tells the story of Stuart, an actor who has lost his mojo, his marriage, and, at the time, appears he may be falling off the wagon, of sobriety. Forced to the take the hand of a stranger… to avoid the tabloids smearing his drunken face all over for the world to see, sets into motion an affirmation of life.

Waking up in a strange bed, surrounded by unfamiliar walls, is the beginning and the end for Stuart. Confronting his savior, across a cup of coffee, puts a tingle of apprehension in his stomach. It’s a very eye-opening experience on many levels.

The complications of T, translate to more than one meaning, as I read this short tale about Tim, born a woman but always knew he was a man. With the transition complete, in body, he still has a ways to go, in mind. Not really his own mind, but exposing himself to others.

The beautiful thing about the story is the way Stuart opens up his heart and mind to accept Tim for who he is not what he was or what society wants him to be. In Stuart’s words – It’s all rubbish anyway. I thought. What point was there in getting caught up in tiny details that didn’t actually matter? All that mattered to me, right then and there, was that I felt like I was at the very beginning of something incredible.

Over the course of a week, Tim and Stuart, share everything, as much as possible within that time frame, from laughing and sharing memories to realizing they have a lot in common. They both want more but Tim has a few stipulations before he is willing to uproot from his safe haven.

Will they still have their strong connection when they are miles apart?

My takeaway from this inspiring and uplifting tale is it really doesn’t matter what your plumbing is if you have a connection with someone. Life can change in an instant and while fancy possessions are nice to have and/or claim to fame is rewarding, those things are pointless if your life is miserable. Finding that spark or connection with another human being is what’s important.

Tim offers himself, freely, to Stuart and they both find themselves eager to explore these new revelations… together.

As for the rest of my night, well, it’s time to take Dante to the next level and I’m going to have a hell of a lot of fun doing it, as will my sons.

Noel: Woke up to find that Dante is in our hands. My younger brother has no idea what’s in store for him. I’m caught between wanting to take it easy on him because I’ve been where he is, or teaching him a lesson myself for how rude he was to me when I was trying to help him out. I do know one thing, I don’t like that he and Romeo have a history. I’m going to be keeping my eye on them.

Deacon: Elijah is slowly coming on board. I think it’s because he’s realizing that this is his life now. There is no escaping, there is no going back. But there’s more to it than that. Since we’ve bonded completely, I think he’s feeling a kinship to me and our pack. We’re a family now and we look out for each other. I’m going to need him to feel that connection when we go before the Alphas and I present him as my mate. One false move on his part or mine could endanger our Pack.

Reviewer: KathyMac

Review: Disciplined is the 4th episode and finale of Season 3. If fanart disciplinedyou’ve made it this far I would definitely say you are just as hooked and addicted as the rest of us. Nicholas closes out this season with a lot of underlying tension and unanswered questions.

Théoden – The time has come for King Ara to leave and Théoden shows us a new side that he certainly doesn’t show often, if ever. Compassion and loneliness. This will be the first time, in hundreds of years, that Théoden doesn’t have his sire close to him. Luckily, he has a full plate with his new duties as Prince and his sons and grandsons to keep him occupied. It was still a heartfelt moment seeing them off and certainly a side we haven’t seen before from Théoden.

Don’t worry because he also reminds us that he is not a pushover as he doles out punishment when Noel displeases him. One thing I’ve noticed with all the vampires is they don’t hold a grudge against each other, usually. A good blowjob administered by one of his talented sons will put Théoden in a good mood and all seems forgotten. I’ve noticed this with Marco, as well. Noel is usually good at making Marco mad several times throughout the day but give him pleasure and you can find yourself back in his good graces. I’m sure, if needed, they can pull the offence back into their memory just as quickly.

Noel – Noel has come so far in such a short time yet, he still has much to learn. When he makes his wishes known that he doesn’t want to participate in spit-swapping he realizes immediately Théoden’s displeasure. Of course, it’s too late by the time he knows he screwed up and his brothers enjoy teaching him the lesson.

Noel gets to ride along with Marco and Bruce as they fulfill their duties as Generals. When a vampire goes against the decree to embrace a human, Bruce has no leniency towards him and hands out a pretty harsh punishment. Noel not only enjoyed watching how Bruce handled the situation but he was thrilled with the power and respect they were given with their new titles.

As he demonstrates later on a shopping trip with Marco, he is really getting the hang of being in control and taking what he wants. You can’t help but laugh because you have this visual of Marco grinning from ear to ear as he sits back and watches him. He is thrilled to see this new side of Noel emerge and he lets him know he is pleased.

Dante – I’m not sure what to think about Dante. He is agreeing and cooperating with everything Théoden asks of him but is he really embracing his future or just afraid of the outcome if he doesn’t? I think it’s a little of both and time will tell as I’m sure Théoden will set many traps to test his loyalty.

Théoden doesn’t make threats that he doesn’t uphold, and he now has ownership of Dante’s mother. This scares Dante more than any kind of punishment because he knows Théoden wouldn’t hesitate to follow thru with his threats. And, hey…it’s his mama. He wants her safe and protected.

Deacon – From the moment we met Deacon we knew he was plotting something, and has plans to use Théoden to get what he wants. Unfortunately, we are not privy to the details yet so I can only imagine the destruction and mayhem this will cause. Not only do I feel like this is a dumb move on Deacon’s part but I’ve grown rather attached to him and I hate to see him plot against the Prince.

Now that the mating ritual is complete, Deacon introduces Elijah to the other alpha wolves as his mate. Here we meet some new characters who appear to be just as conniving and smart as Deacon. It will be interesting to see if they become friend or foe because as Deacon comes across as being very patient and easygoing…he is anything but. It also appears he has set his plan in motion which adds a new level of intensity to the plot.

fanart disciplined by nick bellaWhether it is vampires, dragons, or wolves, we have been ensnared by them and Nicholas’ storytelling ability. As this season comes to a close, Nicholas has left us hanging on every word and craving for more. The New Haven series is full of complex and intricate characters that have many facets making this a very enjoyable and captivating read. These are not standalone episodes as they must be read in order to understand the dynamics in place.

There is hardcore and erotic dialogue that the author makes no apologies for. The sex is explosive and plentiful but that’s not all there is. There is a very intriguing plot that has many twists and turns and if you are so inclined to jump in you will be in for a thrilling ride. This is not a romance, but you will love it just the same. Nicholas is crafty and clever with his storytelling, and he uses it against us, lol, giving him the ability to capture his audience.

He found a family with Bull, the Connors and our favorite guys in the garage, but marriage would really make him a Connor. Not just the piece of paper, but the vows in front of all their loved ones, the promise of forever…it’s everything Red deserves.

In this sequel novella to For A Reason, we follow Bull and Red through the wonderful and crazy adventure of planning a wedding. From setting a date to saying those two magical words to their surprise Irish honeymoon, we get to see how love has transformed everyone’s favorite couple. And stick around for the outtakes, Red and Bull’s marriage has had quite the impact on all the guys!

Gray can’t afford a distraction from his self-imposed mission, the type of distraction presented by the gorgeous blond showing up at their gigs.

Kris Larson is a firefighter with the San Francisco Fire Department. Since splitting from his girlfriend, his favorite way to spend nights off is watching the Black Brothers play in the bars of the Bay Area, especially the guitarist. But it’s not until the brothers are left homeless after a fire at their apartment building that Kris has the opportunity to know the real person behind the brooding façade.

Gray fights his attraction to Kris, but with a meddlesome twin who just wants him to be happy, it’s a losing battle. Before Gray and Kris can have a lasting relationship, though, Gray must learn to forgive himself, let go of the past, and lay more than one demon to rest.

Review: Jet and Grayson Black are twins that are inseparable. Jet was hurt as a teenager by their father, and Gray has never forgiven himself for not being there to intervene. Their father was a homophobic prick who hated his son when he found out he liked boys. As soon as they were able, they left home and never looked back.

The brothers, who go by The Black Brothers when performing, play at the local clubs part-time. They, both, are teachers through the day but music is their lifeline.

Gray is very quiet, almost shy like, but he has his reasons for not putting himself out there to gain attention. Jet, on the other hand, is outgoing, funny, and constantly pushing his brother to find a boyfriend.

Following the brothers from one club to the next is the only enjoyment Kris allows himself away from his job, a firefighter. He has had his eyes on Gray for a while, but never having a relationship with a man before, he’s not sure what to do.

Kris has just recently broken up with his long-term girlfriend and he wants to pursue Gray and see if they have chemistry. When the fire department is called out on an apartment building fire, Kris can’t believe who is standing on the sidewalk huddled together…The Black Brothers.

Offering his home, car, clothes, and anything else they may need to the brothers seems the natural thing for Kris to do. He can’t allow them to be homeless so he offers his place until they can figure out their next move.

Gray cannot believe how nice Kris is and surely he must have a reason for allowing them to stay at his place. Living under the same roof as his obsession makes him even crankier than he is normally. He doesn’t trust Kris and comes off very rude most of the time. Maybe if they have sex he can get the sexy firefighter off his mind and return to normal.

Jet can read his brother like a book and he is constantly pushing him to see where things may lead with the firefighter. He knows immediately when Gray screws up and makes an ass of himself. But, Jet has a plan of bringing the two stubborn men together and maybe, just maybe Gray can finally learn to forgive himself for things out of his control years earlier.

Black & Blühe is an enjoyable read although a little frustrating at times because Gray is constantly throwing up roadblocks when Kris tries to get close. They argue or ignore each other for most of the book. After their initial sexual encounter their attraction and chemistry is a slow-burn.

For me, Jet was the highlight of the story. He is witty and outgoing and always trying to make his brother confess his true feelings. Their moments together, however, were very moving and touching. I love that the brothers are so close to each other and stick together so tightly. They are very co-dependent on each other and as heartwarming as that is it can also become a hindrance.

The author’s prose is clean and smooth and even though there are many firefighter books in the genre, RJ Jones sets hers apart from the rest. She has also incorporated other pairings that I hope have their own story to tell in the future. Mason and Brandon, definitely, but most of all I want to see Jet find his HEA with the man of his dreams. Fingers crossed the author has his story pending.

Overall, I really enjoyed Black & Blühe and there are a couple of surprises the author throws in that I was not expecting. The first half of the book was a little slow but the second half really picks up and pulls your heartstrings. Gray found his happy ever after, now Jet needs to find his. *hint, hint*

Blurb: After years of domestic partnership, Jory Harcourt and Sam Kage are finally going to make it official in their home state of Illinois. It’s been a long and rocky road, and nothing—not disasters at work, not the weather, not a possible stalker, not even getting beat up and having to attend the ceremony looking like he just got mugged—will make Jory wait one more day to make an honest man of the love of his life.

Should be a piece of cake, right?

Review: When has anything ever been a piece of cake with Jory?

Ohh…bless Mary Calmes for bringing us this delightful little story of Jory and Sam. From the first page my face was lit up with smiles and stayed until the end.

The love that Jory and Sam have for each other and for the kids is stronger than ever. Sam and his alpha tendencies can turn Jory into a puddle of goo with just one look. My heart was filled with so much joy as we get to see the wedding plans unfold.

It wouldn’t be fitting if Jory didn’t have a disaster or two even though we all know he is never to blame, right? Coming to his rescue brings in some other characters we love like Duncan and Aaron and Dane and Aja. It was so good to catch up on what has been going on with them and see their love is still strong.

The story opens on their wedding day and Jory asking “We’re still getting married, right?”

From there we get to see the events leading up to this day and you can’t read without laughing aloud, and smiling from ear to ear. I love Jory and I love that after all these years he is still the same, wonderful, man who stole our hearts many years ago. And Sam…no one can make me melt faster than Sam Kage.

Seeing them, both, love and care for their children, Kola and Hanna Banana is the icing on the cake. Even though Jory and Sam were married years ago, in Canada, Jory always wanted to be married in his home state. Now, with a few friends and family, his wish has come true.

Dancing to their song after the wedding ceremony will make you swoon. As Jory takes Sam’s hand onto the dance floor…

“I don’t remember you being this romantic when we married the first time.”

“That’s ‘cause before, it was about beginnings and hope, but now it’s just us and the kids and life, right? It’s forever.”

Thank you, Mary Calmes, for giving us this heartwarming novella and allowing us to be back in Sam and Jory’s world for a little while.

A Piece of Cake was absolutely delicious.

Now, his heart has had time to heal, but he’s not sure he’s ready to let himself move on. Until he meets Cam Morgan…

Without a job lined up following graduation, Cam Morgan took his best friend up on his offer to move to Milwaukee and stay with him until he could get on his feet. The last thing he wanted to do the day after getting to town was go to a party filled with a bunch of jocks. Sure, they were “professional athletes” but Cam was convinced that bigger bank accounts didn’t make them any more accepting of people like him. He certainly didn’t expect to meet Jason, the Mavericks’ catcher who broke every stereotype he’d had.

What started out as one hot, sweaty night together quickly grows into something deeper. Jason welcomes Cam into his home and his life, but now he has to teach the younger man that it’s not a sign of weakness to let people help you.

Review: Curve Ball is the second book in the Homerun series, by Sloan Johnson. Wild Pitch is still my favorite between the two, but I did enjoy this one, also. Each book can probably be considered a standalone, but there are a few references in the story that related to the first book, but I don’t think it would hinder your reading.

Cam is Drew’s friend that we briefly met in Wild Pitch. He has just finished culinary school and has nowhere to go, so Drew invited him to stay with him for a while. These two are best friends and have been for years. As far as Cam knows, Drew is straight and has girls lined up every night. And, that is the picture Drew paints but he has been holding a pretty big secret from Cam for a long, long time.

Drew wants Cam to go with him to a cookout the team is having. Cam has had terrible experiences with male athletes so he is not looking forward to going. But, he doesn’t want to hurt Drew’s feelings so he makes a desert, because that is his specialty, to take with them.

Losing your first love has affected the way Jason lives his life. Almost a hermit other than when playing baseball, he has fought nightmares and guilt for the past 7 years. Spending time with the other players on the team during their off days helps Jason to keep from going stir crazy.

Jason is pretty new to the team and hides his sexuality from every one. As soon as he sees Cam at the cook out he is interested. He’s not put off by Cam’s flamboyance clothes or style. As a matter of fact he is pretty enamored with him. He spends most of the evening talking with Cam hoping they can get much closer.

Curve Ball is about Jason and Cam, primarily, but Drew has secrets that once exposed gives him quite a bit of page time. Cam has had a rough family life and he pretty much holds those experiences against everyone. Even when Jason is sincere and committed, Cam still has trouble believing him.

Jason had a first love that was killed in combat in the military. He carries a lot of guilt for not getting to say the things he wanted to him and now he won’t ever have the chance. He finds it very hard to give himself and his heart to anyone else because he still has nightmares about Adam, his first.

I understand Jason wanting to hold onto his first love and even being afraid of giving his heart to someone else. What seemed a little unbelievable to me was once he decides to share the story, they were young teenagers and I think they only kissed. They really weren’t even a couple and Adam goes to the military soon after. Jason has held onto his memory for seven years which seemed a little extreme.

Cam is a little wishy-washy in his feelings, as well. He doesn’t want charity from anyone nor does he want anyone to think he is helpless. He continuously refuses anyone’s help even when they are only trying to offer support and help.

I didn’t feel the passion and the connection with Cam and Jason like I did with Sean and Mason. I did, however, love the moments the author put in showing us bits and pieces of Sean and Mason and where they are with their family now. Mason was hysterical in this book and became one of Cam’s closest friends.

There wasn’t any angst to dwell on and the sex was spontaneous, but didn’t light up the sheets. I still enjoyed it and I am more curious than ever about Eric and hope he gets his own book soon. The next book will be about Drew and Bryce who is a friend of Jason’s. Bryce, for what we got to see of him, seems like he will be really interesting so I’m looking forward for that book.

The ending is not really a cliffhanger but it left some things unanswered which kind left me with a *whaaaat?* feeling. I’m sure we will find out in the first pages of the next book, I hope anyway.

I would recommend this story especially if you read the first book, and also, if you like low angst slow burn love stories with some baseball players in the mix.

Blurb: “I always thought I knew myself better than anyone ever could. Now, I’m not so sure.”

Having been approached by some secret organization that polices the demon world, I’m now left with the choice of if I want to join them or not. My entire world has been flipped upside down. I used to just be Brian Cordero, sexy as hell cop with a body as masculine as my machismo. Life was great! Then, a month ago I met Raphael. The things he did to me changed me forever in more ways than one. Now, I’m an Agoto demon, a soul eater and apparently, that’s top tier in the demon world. It’s also one of the reasons I was approached by Agent Smith. Really, that’s her name.

Anyway, I’ve got a lot on my mind and I’m having a hard time focusing on what’s important because I can’t get Raphael’s chiseled Mediterranean features out of it. I spend every waking moment thinking about sex and with what I am, I know I need him as he’s my mate. But I just can’t bring myself accept that. On top of that, if I do decide to join this organization, I’ve been tasked with bringing in a very powerful demon into the fold.

God, what the hell am I going to do?

Warning: This serial contains strong adult content not meant for sensitive eyes.

Review: And…the plot thickens!!

Brian Cordero, the sexy cop turned into a demon Agoto is getting in over his head, I’m afraid. He is struggling trying to meet the demands his body needs as far as feeding and having sex with his mate. He continues to be in denial about the pleasures he receives from Raphael even though fulfilling the demands his body is seeking makes him fill renewed and have newfound vitality.

In the first episode, Brian was approached by a secret organization who wanted his help in bringing a powerful demon God into the fold. After talking with Raphael, and learning some more facts about the demon species, he makes a decision that hopefully won’t be his downfall. He also learned that he may not be as indestructible as he first thought therefore losing some of his confidence.

But, he can’t deny that some of his new abilities come in very handy on his day job as a police officer. With his increased hearing and vision he is able to take down some deadbeats before too much damage is done. Of course, he must tread carefully in order not to set off any triggers with his partner, Sheila. I’m not sure how long he will be able to keep this info from her as she also is very good at her job and recognizes when Brian veers away from their normal routine.

As much as Brian tries to tell himself and others that he hates the sex with his mate, his body tells something else. Making a decision to approach the demon God, Adriel Sama, definitely takes him out of his comfort zone. Not only is he immediately attracted to him…a man…another one… he walks in on a foursome that makes a body part or two wake up and take notice.

Lying about the effects he is having will not work with Adriel since he has the ability to read Brian’s mind. An ability that he takes advantage repeatedly.

Brian wanted to talk with Adriel to see if he would join their ranks within the organization. However, the outcome is not what he was hoping for. But, what will happen when Adriel has a request to make of Brian? He may be willing to help but he has conditions of his own. Conditions that will require Brian to learn some new words such as Sir, Master, my King, or my Liege.

And, this is where I say the plot thickens. Nicholas is a devious and clever author as he intricately weaves a whole new level of intensity and intrigue into the storyline. I can’t wait to see how Brian reacts to these new terms. Does he have a submissive bone in his body?

Right now, I would say no, but I have no doubt, at all, that Adriel is a very persuasive and demanding demon. He’s already given Brian a taste of his passion proving that he is not unaffected as he tries to believe. Adriel is sexy and gorgeous and very powerful. And he wants Brian. But, what about Raphael? He is Brian’s mate and he wants to spend more time with him, not just be a booty call or only be called if Brian’s in trouble. I’m positive this new element will bring much delight to the storyline.

The next book is titled, Mischief, and I am already imagining the ways that will be fitting. I love the way Nicholas continues to add more and more to the plot, taking us down different avenues that is sure to add more excitement and suspense. I love that he includes a sense of humor in his characters that will always put a smile on your face.

The author’s depiction instills us with a vivid imagination of the characters feelings and actions. We are part of this journey with Brian as he tries to find his footing and navigate his new world. We are only two episodes into the series, but the author devotes his storytelling to give us an overall portrayal of what lies ahead making this another addicting series by this talented author.

There is an f/m scene with Brian and one of his lady conquests. Personally, I skim over these scenes because they can ruin a story for me, but I can also acknowledge that this development was needed in order to help Brian accept his new role of having a male lover. He needed to know he can still get turned on with a female. Thanks to the perfect timing of an unexpected visit from Adriel, it was over fairly quickly.

Nicholas always manages to make each episode fun and sexy while continually building the plot with suspenseful and engaging dialogue. The ending always comes too soon, unfortunately, and the anticipation of the next episode kicks in. Another great addition to the Demon Gate Series.

I can’t wait to see if my overactive imagination comes true in Mischief.

Review: Everyone is invited to the wedding of the year!!! And what a beautiful wedding it was. At one point, leading up to and during the ceremony, I had crocodile tears pouring down my face. The moments Red and Bull share together and reminiscing about the ones past are so beautiful and emotional to read. They were meant for each other and I foresee their future with much joy and delicious mind blowing sex.

We first met Ian and Bull in, For a Reason, Book 2 in the Sizzling Miami series. This particular book is and has always been my favorite. There is just something about Ian that resonated within my heart giving me a connection with him. And, Bull… why can’t there be Jon Connors’ waiting on every corner?

Reading a book by Jessie G is like coming home after a long time away and curling up in your favorite chair… the one that has a dip especially made from your own bottom… grabbing your favorite blanket and snuggling in. Pure bliss. That is truly how I felt while reading, Their Reason.

This is a novella so it’s short and sweet, but nothing was left out of this incredible journey Ian and Bull have entered into. From the moment Bull realized it was past time to make Ian a Conner we witnessed all of their thoughts, feelings, and plans that went into making this the wedding of the year.

Jessie didn’t leave anything out or anyone and from tension to nerves to acceptance we got to tag along as the wedding plans unfold. As they stand before everyone they love and say their marriage vows committing themselves to each other tears poured down my face. I honestly felt as though I was a close friend and I was sitting on the front row with everyone else.

Jessie has an incredible ability of creating characters that are flawed but no less worthy and their hearts are made of pure gold. She has a very descriptive narrative that allows you to visualize the scenes taking place on page and you don’t realize until you reach the end that you were completely invested and blocked out everything around you.

She incorporated little insights into the other characters that make up the Sizzling Miami group and we get to see where they are presently. Which this only makes you want to revisit every book in the series so far …Again. Sneaky, lol

You must read For a Reason first before reading Their Reason because you wouldn’t understand the stride they have made or the impact they have had on each other’s lives as well as the readers if you didn’t. And trust me, you don’t want to miss out on the beautiful people these guys are inside and out, or the heartfelt journey they took that led to this day.

Jessie G is an auto-buy for me with good reason. She is an incredible author who gives voice to her characters and you fall in love with each and every one of them.

This was a beautiful and inspiring novella of love and because of that love you can conquer anything past or present as long as you stand together. The love of their friends and putting everything aside, without reservations, to stand before and around each other as two men become one name, one heart.

A beautiful journey that started out with no hope for a future or even a promise of getting through one day into a honeymoon with Ireland as the backdrop and a future full of possibilities.

Please meet Mr. and Mr. Jon Conner…someone pass the Kleenex.
