Blurb: An apocalypse forever alters the world and people are forever changed. Emanuel Comstock, a fat, shy guy no one wants around, hides a frightening, terrible power within himself. And the Dark Ones want him.

The world ends and Emanuel reels from shock. His secret love and best friend, Lucian, abandons Manny for a life with Raide and the orphan baby, Brigit. A Dark One kidnaps Emanuel to sell as a slave and he doesn’t fight back. Why bother? He’s just a clumsy guy nobody wants.
The new rules of the world confuse Black Rose. He doesn’t care about Dark or Bright Ones. He wants to be left alone. When Ghost asks him to start an exploratory journey toward the mountains, Black Rose grabs the opportunity, but he’ll need a slave for the trip.
Emanuel and Black Rose leave their former life behind. The struggle to survive in a hostile world among cannibals and monsters is challenging. But Emanuel understands Black Rose is more than just a crook, and Black Rose realizes the humble slave shines with a light much brighter than anyone suspects.
Through their discoveries, inner growth, and mutual awareness, their trip to nowhere turns into a battle to remain together.

Review: This story is part of a series and must be read in order. Emanuel (Manny) survived the merging of two parallel worlds, having his secret love meet another man and the creatures of the night, but now he has been captured by the Dark Ones and sold off as a slave. Black Rose (Darius) was in prison when the world ended and is now with the Dark Ones, he couldn’t care less about the Dark or Bright Ones and just wants to be left alone to survive. Being sent out to explore is the excuse Black Rose needs to leave the Dark Ones behind but he takes his new slave with him as company. As they struggle to survive against cannibals and monsters, both Darius and Manny realize that the other is more than he seems. And they find something in the other that they thought was forever lost.

This is a great addition to the Apocalypse series, which starts just after the end of The Event. Manny is still hurting from the rejection of Lucian, it was one last blow to his self-esteem so when he is captured by the Dark Ones he can’t see the point of fighting. Darius takes Manny with him because he needed a slave; he finds Manny annoying with no backbone and too timid and wants Manny to run away from him. When Manny finally has enough of being treated badly he runs and finds himself in major trouble, when Darius tries to come to his rescue they both find themselves captured and it results in Darius coming to realize how important Manny is to him, and with Manny finding his backbone.

I really enjoyed this addition to the series and was happy to see Manny find someone who appreciated him, even if they had a very rocky start. This story continues with the storyline of the Dark Ones and Bright Ones and we have more discoveries about the Apocalypse and the survivors. The relationship between Manny and Darius is not very pleasant at first with some forced sexual contact; it also has a very strong feel of D/s in the mix, which later adds a bit of excitement to their relationship. We see a huge development in both Manny and Darius as both men find that they aren’t as they see themselves; Manny isn’t quite the fat, timid, shy man he thinks he is and Darius isn’t the bad, mean, incapable of caring man he became. Their fight for survival has them meeting other survivors both Dark and Bright, and in one town just wrong, who add more to the overall storyline and Manny proves to be so much more than just being a sidekick to Lucian.

I have been impressed with the continuality of the storyline as it arcs over the three books but one thing has me stumped and that is Lucian’s continued existence… why? Well we already know that doubles disappeared but Lucian apparently never died in the other world… he was a world-famous rock-star at the time the worlds collided but the accident that would have killed Lucian’s double happened two years before…. And we already know that the worlds were only about 3 months out of sync. Yeah so I am stumped. Other than that, I am liking where this story is going, there’s danger and darkness, some mystery as to what is happening to them all and we are getting great relationships developing. We also know that there are more interesting relationships to come, as they dig into what really happened to the worlds.

I recommend this to those who love post-apocalypse struggles, love developing in hard times, danger and darkness lurking in the background and more stories to come.

Review: This is the first book to this amazing new series by Dan Cash. I am happy to have had the chance to read this book. It gives you an interesting world to lose yourself in. I have always loved paranormal books especially when they are not only romance but includes two hot men. One who happens to be an alpha of his pack. Dane has been friends with Nick for five years now, so when Dane is used as bait to draw Nick out he is scared but fierce. What surprised him was Nick had not told him everything himself. The fact that he is a werewolf and that there were more of them.

Nick is upset that he had not been able to tell his friend about werewolves but he knew now he had to take him back to the pack. The alpha needed to meet him and trust that Dane would keep their secret. What they had not expected was the fact that Dane was the alpha’s mate. Connor had basically kidnapped his mate and brought him home. Actually going so far as tying him up and putting him in the trunk. Luckily, he knew that going all Alpha on Dane, was not the way to go about telling him what they were. The big bad alpha was scared that Dane would run.

Dane had trust issues and his new mate and his best friend were not helping the matter. But, Dane found himself falling in love with the big, bad wolf. There are many other packs that would want to take over his pack. But, he Connor had not expected one of his pack mates was a traitor, although the signs had been there. He also had not expected them to have the balls to kidnap his mate. He would do anything to get his mate back, even kill. The sex between them is hot and full of sparks. Once you start reading it, you will not be able to put it down at all.

That is what happened to me. I picked it up and just started reading it and couldn’t stop. It caught my attention from the first sentence. I absolutely loved it and cannot wait to read the next book in this brand new series. It also gives me a new author to check out. I would recommend reading this story especially if you love, the paranormal world, shape shifters, werewolves, two hot and sexy men, great sex, and dangers to the pack. I have found another new favorite and cannot wait to read his stories.

Review: This is an expanded re-release title. The original version was included in the Silver Presents: Three’s a Party anthology. I absolutely loved this story. It was so tender and would break your heart if you let it. I love paranormal stories especially when they are romance stories. What makes it better is not just two but three very sexy men. I absolutely can’t wait to see what S.A. Welsh comes out with next.

Cage had finally decided he had enough of his best friends teasing him. Hot one minute and cold the next. He has decided he wanted answers from Rob. What he got was more than what he bargained for. He had got a reaction that made him sad at first, till he realized Rob truly wanted him, but was afraid to tell him what was really going on. It would seem that a couple of days a month Rob just needed to go away. So when Rob turns into one hell of a big black bear you can imagine Cage’s reaction. They made one hell of a hot couple.

Then when hunters attack in comes Noah, a wolf shifter to save their behinds. However, they had not expected that he was their mate also. Poor Cage had just a few hours of knowing about shape-shifters and now he is finding out about the mating parts of it. They each had a story about their pasts that needs to be addressed but they seem to be going full speed ahead when it comes to the hot sex. Now that would be something to see.

I would definitely be recommending this story to everyone who loves paranormals, shape-shifters, not just two but three really hot men and a tender love story. They had the abilities to overcome their pain and turn it into a loving story for all to read. I cannot wait to read the next book that S. A. Welsh writes. I would love to hear more about Cage, Rob, and Noah.

Review: This is a re-edited, re-release title. I have got to tell you this story had me from the first paragraph and kept it all the way to the end, but it is one bizarre story. It starts off with a bunch of robberies that are taking place when homes are getting tented for termites. There are a gang of robbers that are doing this. Somehow, Quinn and his partner get drawn into it. What he had not expected at the meeting was a man he had spent two hot days with two years ago to be walking in. A man who said he would call him when he got back to Las Angeles, but never did.

They are being told that most of the robberies are happening at night, which seems to be the way most robberies go. The only problem, which for him is one big problem and that, is he is afraid of the dark. He goes inside the house to stop them, only to find himself in another realm. Talk about strange but it gets even better. The realm is filled with hot men, men that want him. They give him an amazing time, the most incredible threesome of his life. Now all he has to do is figure out how to get back to it. Or so he thinks.

JD is a federal agent and the same man he had the amazing two nights with. He had always thought of him, always wondered why he had never called him. It wasn’t until one night when JD shows up that he realizes he might have another chance with the man who made his heart beat fast and his palms sweat, but what about the two men in the dark.

I loved this story. It has quite a twist to it, which will surprise you. It is just a bit weird though, however it is good. I would recommend this one because it has two hot and sexy lawmen, some crazy strangers, some hot sex, and a bit of danger to it. You will get a kick out of this one. It had me laughing throughout most of it. Who knew termites could bring people together.

Review: This is book two in the Mandate: To Guide and Protect series.  It stands alone okay, but you need to read the first to see who the guardian angels are and their story.

This book is good, but I was a little disappointed. I think I just expected a different story, but this one was very good.  It is written in the Edward Kendrick’s classic style of mystery that is kept rather sweet.  The plot moves quickly and ends a bit suddenly for me as I was really thinking of the possibilities of where the story may be heading and I was way out in left field.

I liked the characters especially Jamie (Kip’s 8-year-old son) and the Angels, Hal and Dave (back from the first book). In this book, these are the two gay lovers, as the main character and other characters are straight.  This doesn’t really bother me since I like m/f stories and there is no actual sex at all in the books.

The book moves fast, and a lot is packed into a few pages, but overall we get a good complete story.

If you like mystery, guardian angels, cops, books with very little sex, and cute kids this is for you.

Review: This book is part of a series and must be read in order.

Kieran has more than enough on his plate, when he finds that his father is involved in the case he is working on. Trying to fight his feelings for Jubilee is difficult and he is having doubts that his heart will survive his new relationship with Jubilee. The small town where he now works isn’t exactly gay friendly and he won’t live in the closet. Jubilee has fallen head over heels but he has no choice but to be discreet, and he has more than enough on his plate discovering who the mole is in the US Marshal Department and tracking down the cartels. Together they have to work. But are they fighting a losing battle with their attraction to each other?

Longing picks up where Orgasmic Texas Dawn finished, continuing the story of Kieran and Jubilee as they hunt down the players in a drug cartel. Jubilee and Kieran have embarked on a secret relationship, working together and hiding how they feel. But the strain is getting to Kieran and he tries to back off and concentrate on the investigation. Jubilee knows he has to focus on the investigation simply because as him and Kieran dig deeper more spies come out of the woodwork, but all his focus keeps zoning into Kieran. Many things come out as they try to put a stop to the cartels, with Kieran finding out shocking news about his father.

This is a great continuation of Orgasmic Texas Dawn, the action and adventure continues with no let-up in sight with many twists and turns in the investigation. Jubilee and Kieran really are a great couple but the town where they live is not productive to a relationship, Jubilee might have his dreams but Kieran really can’t see how it would work. This book really does try to balance the two storylines, relationship & investigation, slightly combining the two as more people discover the true nature of Jubilee and Kieran’s relationship, and Kieran feels a little put out that Jubilee hasn’t even thought about any sort of compromise. The book is left open-ended as they all head off to Canada but it really isn’t looking good for poor Jubilee.

I will recommend this to those who love action and adventure, hot sex, confliction emotions, danger, secrets, twists and turns and an ending that is wide open to many possibilities.

Blurb: Standing on a cold, dark bridge in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night was actually progress for Jack. Exhausted, no food, no coat, no real life to speak of, what was the point?

Jack is on the run from an abusive ex-lover when Sam, the Chief of Police of the tiny town of Stonefield, shows up. Sam takes Jack in, feeds him, gives him a bed, and offers him time to heal. Even so, Jack is still surprised how strongly attracted he is to the tall, muscular lawman. After two years with Trevor, he had thought that part of his heart was long dead. It hardly matters, though. He can’t stay in one place too long.

Sam is content taking care of his small town. Sure, he’s alone, but that doesn’t mean he’s lonely. Besides, his tiny town doesn’t offer up much in the way of potential partners–until Jack shows up. Suddenly Sam will do anything to get Jack to stay, which means he will need to show Jack he can be trusted to protect him.

But Trevor isn’t finished with Jack yet and with a little bit of detective work, he’s going to find him…

Review: Jack flees for his life when his lover attacks him yet again. Jack knows it’s different this time and he ends up States away, hoping that his ex-lover won’t find him. Bruised, tired, and hungry, Jack wonders what he has to live for. Sam, Chief of Police, takes pity on the young man he finds on a bridge and takes him home. He fights his attraction to give Jack time to trust him and can only hope he can have the relationship he wishes for. As they get to know each other, both fall hard. And as Jack, finds the life he always longed for, Sam is there encouraging him every step of the way. But Trevor isn’t about to let Jack walk free, and does a little sleuthing of his own with deadly intent.

This is a great story where two men find each other and discover the perfect partner. But it is fraught with nightmares, as one is recovering from an abusive relationship. Both Jack and Sam are great characters. Sam is the alpha male who wants to save and protect and Jack is the submissive male who wants to be loved and cherished. Together they make an explosive, hot couple who, once they embark on a relationship, really heat up the sheets… and the shower. Sam is amazing as he encourages Jack to spread his wings. And it shows just how secure he is in himself, because, man, Sam is possessive and protective. A true alpha male who takes control, but is gentle about it. Jack is clearly of the submissive nature, needing someone to firmly encourage and guide him. Put Jack and Sam together and you have a perfect couple. As you know, crazy abusive assholes want to punish the one who stood up to them. They want to show them who is boss and Trevor certainly fits into that mold.

I really liked how the abusive relationship was handled. With Jack at first making excuses and then acknowledging how destructive it was. And then finally Jack accepting that he wasn’t at fault and reprimanding himself over staying for so long. You can clearly see the process as it develops. And you cheer Jack as he accepts the help offered to him. The entire storyline is great and I thought the author handled Jack’s nightmares and fears well, Hurri Cosmo didn’t write a miraculous recovery, no Hurri wrote about the fears and nightmares and the instinctual reactions that a sufferer of abuse has. The storyline is well written and moves along swiftly. We get to know the characters pretty well. And although their relationship progresses quickly, it felt natural and not forced.

I recommend this to those who adore stories of finding the love you deserve, encouragement and safety, great characters, some danger and a wonderful happy ending.

Review: Michael and Gabriel are twin brothers, as close as they can possible be. But Michael worries for his brother as he attracts the wrong sort of man and is physically abused. Michael is there for him when Gabriel needs him, but he secretly desires to be the only man Gabriel wants. Gabriel always finds the worst sort of man, but he can’t help from accepting everything he gets off them as a way to punish himself. He knows he will never find happiness, after all the one man who could complete him is his brother.

This book is a well-written, incredible, despair-inducing story. Michael and Gabriel are two men who draw you in with their pure misery and guilt. Their story will make your heartache and your breath catch. Michael and Gabriel are two brothers who are twins, as close as brothers can be and both suffering from loving the wrong person, but dealing with it in completely different ways. Michael just watches on the sidelines, picking his brother up after every failed relationship. Taking care of the ones who abuse Gabriel, while he desperately wants Gabriel to find happiness even though it kills him inside. Gabriel longing for something that he can’t have and punishing himself with the men he dates. And when it gets too much to handle he has a trusty razorblade to make it all go away.

Valentina Heart has created two characters who bleed over these pages. Their souls are open for us to read and their pain and despair are there for us to witness. Two people who love each other and feeling disgust at themselves. But each handling it differently until the taboo is exposed and they confront their feelings for each other before it is too late. Yes, this story is about two brothers, who love each other in a taboo way, but it doesn’t make light of that taboo. In fact, it drives home the despair that the two brothers feel, but it also shows that their love isn’t corrupt. It’s as natural for them and right as spring rain.

I recommend this to those who love twincest, deep despair, forbidden love, hot rough sex, two men finding their true love and a happy ending.

Blurb: Captured, imprisoned and tortured, Brand becomes… unique. After escaping, he vows revenge on his captor, Fedor. With the help of his friend and housemate, Mag, the search begins. Then others who also have a vested interest in finding Fedor become involved.

These others, who call themselves Enforcers, are not run-of-the-mill by any means. Their leader, Antton, convinces Mag that Brand is more than he seems. When Fedor captures Mag to demoralize Brand to force him to come to him, Brand and the Enforcers, including Randulf, set out to rescue him.

With that mission successfully completed, Brand admits he cares for Mag as much as Mag does him—something he has been previously unwilling to reveal.

Then Brand is invited to join the Enforcers—and accepts. The Enforcers receive another assignment and Brand and Mag meet Lew, Randulf’s ex-lover. There’s no love lost between those two, but Mag suspects that deep down they care for each other. He vows to force them to admit it—to themselves and to each other—if they survive the coming battle.

Review: I really like this cover; it has a mysterious vibe to it.

When I first started reading this story I kept wondering if it was a part of a series and if I had missed something. It just had that book two feel. Eventually the backstory is all well explained, but I can’t help but wonder if why it picked up after Brand had escaped from Fedor and we didn’t see his torture or more on why Fedor had him.

This book has a lot going on. We have the first part, where Brand is hunting Fedor, meets the Enforcers, and deals with his feelings for Mag. After this all settles down we get another story, the enforcers go on another hunt but this one features Randulf and Lew more than Brand.  I’m not complaining though. I really liked the story and we actually got like two stories in one book. The stories were very interesting and fast paced.

The characters are also very intriguing. We have Brand who is part human / part vampire and now has another power after his torture from Fedor.  I really liked this combination.  Mag is a human and Brands friend with benefits.  He is smart, sweet, and sexy as all get out.  Then we add the Enforcers. Wow what a group! We have a couple older vampires and a couple of Werewolves. Each has his own powers. All of them are very interesting and I did like Randulf and Lew’s story a lot, maybe even more than Brand and Mag’s.

All in all this is a paranormal romance lover’s dream! You have a great mix of mystery, suspense, some unique characters, and a different take on Vampires and werewolf’s, yet with Edward Kendrick’s style of mixing suspense with just a small dose of sweet romance. The balance is perfect, the love and sexual tension is there without any actual sex scenes.

Jubilee worries about Kieran throwing himself into his undercover assignments, and this one almost destroys him. Meanwhile back in Lone Trail, Jubilee is on the hunt for one of the US Marshals’ most wanted men; a former detective who murdered his wife and has been seen in an unlikely place–a brothel–by an even more an unlikely witness: Dillon DePriest, the newly reinstated, happily married Sheriff of Lone Trail…

Review: This story is part of a series and must be read in order. Jubilee and Kieran are on the trail of Reggie Jones, both men knowing that when the case is over they have to go their separate ways. Kieran throws himself into the undercover world to bring down another drug cartel, a case that nearly kills Kieran and ends up taking him back to Jubilee. Jubilee goes back to life in Lone Trail and getting his office sorted but he is soon on the trail of a man who is one of the Marshal’s most wanted, the tip coming from Dillon DePriest and the sighting was in Eva’s brothel.

This story continues where Longing ended, Jubilee and Kieran both admitting their love but unable to compromise, separating when the case of Reggie Jones ends and eventually crossing paths again as Kieran shuts down another drug cartel. The path to love is never easy but when you throw in living in two different countries, high stress jobs and undercover assignments it gets to be a sticky mess where it begins to look worse than hopeless… especially when Jubilee discovers just what lengths Kieran goes to, to get to the top boss.

Ah, D.J. Manly and A.J. Llewellyn have brought us an exciting, dangerous, tension filled story that draws you in and as you progress through the book, you see actions and reactions and wonder if our two hot law enforcement officers will ever get their happy ending. We find out more about Kieran’s father and we also see a hell of a lot of just what Kieran has to go through when he goes undercover, we see Jubilee struggling to accept Kieran’s role and we see both men in their elements as they work their cases. Will Kieran and Jubilee ever find a way to be together or will they continue to torture themselves on the love that slipped away and hope that the pain will ease with time.

This story isn’t one to miss if you love involved cop stories, although the first two books focused on Reggie and his drugs, this one branches out so we see more of what the Marshal’s and the Canadian Narc’s do so we see more cases, and, I can see that there will be a lot of cross over between the American and Canadian law enforcement before Kieran and Jubilee finally get a bliss filled happy ending. We do get the beginning of a happy ending but it gets interrupted in a most shocking fashion, damn and blasts those authors.

So in all honesty if you love crime, hot Marshal’s, sexy detectives, interesting cases, finding and losing love, struggling for understanding, danger and an ending that will leave you muttering about evil authors and their torture methods then this is the book for you.

Blurb: The vampires, serial killers, and shape-shifters in the three novellas in this companion volume to Horror Lite will drain the blood from your heart. Where it goes from there is no one’s business but your own.

“Val” — For years, Brad has been obsessed with the memory of his dead lover, Val. His obsession takes over his life when he meets another Val, a hustler who looks exactly like the first.

“Slasher” — A man is found in a cubicle at a gay bathhouse with his throat slit. Then another victim turns up. Only Lou’s lover, Jamie, can identify the most likely suspect.

“The Matador” — Soledad de Riquer feels certain that her brother, the celebrated matador El Valiente, has his eye on her young boyfriend, Adulio.

CONTENT ADVISORIES: This title contains subjects of rape or near rape, extreme violence, and sex in partially shifted form. “Val” is a re-edited, re-release story.

Review: The first story in this book is Val and damn it if I know what to make out of it. Sex! Everything revolved around sex. A creepy kind of sex that started from Brad’s obsession with his long dead ex-lover. Truly, it’s a fascination story the way it was told. Brad once had a lover, Val, and then they broke up, amicably. Years later, he stumbles upon him but this time Val is dying from AIDS. After his death Brad’s obsession begins and for years he vainly attempts to clone hustlers into his ex-lover, not the way he looked like when alive, but sick, pale, dying…

Creepy? You have no idea. Reading this brought shivers down my body, yet it’s not horror or anything like that. It’s simply the re-enacting a dead lover, the idea is skin crawling.

All this endless stream of hustlers takes an abrupt end when Brad stumbles upon a real double of Val. He looks just like him, but it’s no longer role-playing. The new hustler’s name is Val, he talks, walks, and does pretty much everything like the original Val. Somehow though, while they are having sex, something happens and reality merges with fantasy, the line blur, a dreamlike blend occurs and Brad end up making passionate love, animalistic even to this new Val. He no longer longs for what was lost, he simply want this new thing never to end.

And from that moment on there is sex on all forms, anything you can imagine (no kinks). The plot, if there even is one, completely revolves around the sex. The relationship Brad and Val share has nothing more. What contributes more to the creepy/unknown factor is that we never really get to understand who or what Val – this new one – is. There are hints that he is perhaps not a real person, but nothing concrete. Brad surly never figures out that there might be more to his Val, not even when surrounded at some point by dozens of Val’s clones.

As the story moves along – a good eighty pages – the feeling of the text changes from creepy to dreamy. I kept thinking that the character was dreaming everything that happened to him and he’d wake up any moment and bring us with him into a scary reality. No it didn’t happen so, but the end, the epilogue did leave me wondering what on earth happened and who the Hell was Val?

. It was weird and I kept expecting the vampires to come, but the slight relation to vampirism was Val’s supposed illness and that was not what I’d call horror/paranormal. So in the end I read a story that even though it made no sense to me at all, as I so no real purpose to it, I still somehow liked.

P.s.: There are some serious similes all through the text. No scratch that, the entire text was simile after simile, the most overwhelming of all was the horse/rider one. Interesting how I still can’t get some images off of my head.

Immediately follows the Slasher, a story that had a serial killer going after gay man. Lou is at the baths when the slasher first hits, leaving behind him a bloody room and the police trying to find out whom among the clients might have seen something. Jamie, one of the attendants, noticed someone suspicious and that marks the beginning of a hide and seek sick game. During the hours they spend, waiting to be questioned Lou and Jamie hit it off together and made plans for a future date. Two months later and they still haven’t made it so Lou starts searching for him. Apparently, he’s not the only one because the moment our pair reconnect the slasher makes an appearance as well killing yet another man right outside Jamie’s former work place. Convinced he’s being haunted by the slasher Jamie tries to survive, make a blossoming relationship work, and prove that the slasher is not a made up character of his imagination or drama.

This story is suspense and more or less not a bad one. However, the entire plot, connection with characters and intrigue were at a loss. The dialogues were stilting and quite boring, the chemistry between the pair was lacking and the intimate scenes between them didn’t appeal at all. The eroticism expected was missing and made the entire read drag, as there was nothing more to keep you interested. On top of that, we had Lou going in an instantly serious relationship with Jamie. One moment they are still relative strangers the next they’re moving in together. Their entire relationship was a bit surreal.

Plot-wise I didn’t see the reasons behind the attacks and stalking on Jamie. The villain was just a presence who took a face at the very end, but his intentions and the how’s/why’s were never explained. Overall, I didn’t quite enjoy this one.

Third and last story in this book is The Matador.

In this story, the plot is quite simple though again it drags on quite a while. Soledad lives in a world that is filled in bigotry. Her parents disown her for having not only lost her virginity, but also managed to get pregnant and secretly have an abortion. Her sins in their eyes are too great to have her in their home and with their other children.

Her only ties with her family now is her big brother Luis (the matador) and her bitterness shows a lot, because while she is disowned by her prude family, Luis who is gay is not and his little sin his overlooked because he’s famous and made a life for himself.

So even though she’s happy that she at least still has family to call her own, things slowly change when she introduces him to her lover Adulio.

Honestly, the story was not so very attracting. It took forever to reach to a point and when it did, it ended too quickly. There was a pattern on the dialogues with them dragging on and on while the two characters argue or find endless reasons to rebuke the other’s demands. It was the same on all three stories and made the text quite tiresome. You simply couldn’t get attached with any of the characters and the sense of depression was overbearing.

In the end, there was an abrupt merge with the paranormal in this story. The Shapeshifter seemed to come from nowhere. One could say that there were grounds to make this blend and put this idea to work, but after all that happened and after all that drama the paranormal addition left me thinking “what the Hell?” It could have been better exploited in my opinion, but in this case, it was just surreal.

Overall, this book didn’t meet with my expectations. I expected horror, dark, or light, but there was no such thing in none of the three stories. They were odd and weird sure, but nothing to make you scream or put them in the horror genre, therefore they failed for me.

Review: (Awesome cover) Dave Pender is an enforcer for a mob. He is sent on a mission to take down an opposing mobs man and Dave is sure it’s more to it than that since the mod man’s wife and partner isn’t in on it.   He is pretty sure there is some hanky panky going on there and the hit isn’t just a sing to the other mob but the wife also.  As he is about to take out the man, something strange happens and he is stopped, forcing him to go on the run.

I loved this book! Though about halfway through I figured out what was going on with the stranger that kept appearing it was still very fun and twisty and the ending was really a surprise.

I love how this author makes his stories so mysterious and intriguing, yet sweet, and charming too.  However, there is lots of action and hints of violence there is not any blood and gore etc.

So if you’re looking for a story that is fun to read, interesting and intriguing with some twists and turns, no real sex, and a very surprising ending this is for you.

Review: Joron is a prince of Blade Run and has lived the last several years helping to fix the problems that his sex mad, cruel father ignored. When his older brother, Diagus, returns due to his father’s ill health he has hope that things will begin to improve, and he holds on to that, hope even as he learns that he has to avoid Diagus at all costs. When his brother inherits the throne, Joron learns he is the owner of Ice Dragon Pass and his stepmother will stop at nothing to return it to his Diagus’ rule. King Aric is visiting to negotiate for passage through Ice Dragon Pass, and to see if he can find the servant who caught his eye months ago. When Aric comes across a lady being attacked he is overcome by her beauty and decides to make her his. Joron is shocked to learn of his sisters impending marriage, especially since she is promised to another who she loves and sets out to Claymoor Doom to convince King Aric to release his sister from the contract and then things become interesting. With Aric refusing to let him go and his brother’s obsession with him, Joron can still only think about his subjects and their suffering, but can he give up the love he is beginning to find or will the threat to others make him give up his freedom?

I have to say that this story was a joy to read, a world that has a medieval feel to it, a generous thoughtful prince in danger, a powerful king who is arrogant, and a new king who isn’t quite right in the head. Joron is an incredible character who is selfless and kind; he is also beautiful and intelligent and has put himself at risk for his people. Aric is an interesting character who is arrogant and very sure of himself, he sees what he wants and will do anything to get it. Diagus is a character who is definitely the baddie, he creeps you out with his obsession, and although you get glimpses of something good in him, the obsession overshadows everything else.

I was pulled quickly into this story and found myself wondering what was going to happen next, the storyline is very involved but has many characters who share the weight. The perspective does move from character to character but in such a way, that it is very clear and not confusing, and I have to say it was nice to be able to see certain parts from other people’s eyes. The storyline itself is brilliantly composed because there is more going on than just Joron and Aric getting together, we have a self-involved Queen/Queen Mother who will do anything to make sure her son has power, we have a new king obsessed with making his brother his, we have an arrogant king who has mystery surrounding him and then Joron who will do anything to protect those he cares about.

Joron’s and Aric’s relationship isn’t easy and from the way the story ended it isn’t going to be easy either, the sex between them is hot and at first it is coercive but Joron soon discovers just how much he enjoys it. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and can’t wait to see what will happen next, there is so much to look forward to with the different players in the story and the plans that are beginning to unfold.

I recommend this to those who love high fantasy, great characters, a brilliant storyline, some creepiness, danger, hot sex and the beginning of  difficult love story.

Review: This book is a quick rough fuck. There is very little, realistic, plot involved.

Guy moves to Germany, in the same week, meets the owner of a BDSM club, goes to work for the guy punishing naughty husbands and pain seekers, and moves in with his new German lover/boss, and of course, they are in love. I think at this point three or four days have gone by. The sex scenes are quick and odd, and of course, the German MC has a nine-inch cock seven inches in girth. Not a lot of substance, even the BDSM scenes are a bit lacking. Sorry.

The only interesting part to me is that at this German BDSM club people can bring their spouses for corporal punishment for things like cheating, or stealing instead of divorce. I would have enjoyed that service, a time or two.

Review: This book was good, but just seemed to missing something. I had a hard time keeping my attention on it. It would have made a great story if it didn’t have so much description on what Oliver’s work. I did love how Emmet and Oliver came together though.

Emmet had taken over the bar when his grandfather had passed away. He met Oliver there, when Oliver and some of his coworkers came to enjoy their night after work. They are both very sweet, tender and in need of some love. They both came from abusive situations, either from physical or mental abuse. They are just the type of people you would fall in love with. They have great attitudes and the communication they have with each other is amazing. The sex is pretty hot and very tempting. Emmet is a little bit of a voyeur in nature. However, you don’t get to see that. Which is a shame, because it would have heated up the story really good.

The story line its self is very believable, you can actually see it going down the way the way it is told. It was interesting. However, it needs a bit more to it.

Review: I found this book to be not that great. It was somewhat good, but it wasn’t that great. The characters were pretty decently created and the storyline was very adventurous, but the plot was almost…cliché. I just didn’t really enjoy it that much.

Review: Vicktor Alexander has a gift for storytelling. The abilities to bring a world to life with such fantastic characters who go through hardships, trials, pain, anger, and joy are amazing. I have always been drawn to the paranormal world especially when it involves hot and sexy men. Well, in this case Eeiran did start off, as a woman. However, it is still a pretty amazing tale.

Princess Eeirena has always felt that she was meant to be a man. She hated the way that they as fae had to sleep with everyone to find out who was their true mate. She has had visions and reams of her human mate. There were rules as a royal that even if they have human mates they still had to come back to their world to live. Her brother had found his mate and that mate had a family. Trying to find a way to help them stay in the human realm she would risk everything to help. When she is asked for help by her brother Eeian she starts trying to find that way, but there is an accident when crossing worlds and it closes off her portal to reenter their world. There is a surprise when she turns into a he. Finding her mate over joys her, but Philip finds out that Eeiran is not only fae, but also royalty, seer and used to be a female he rejects Eeiran. Not realizing that it places his mate in danger. They must find a way to make it through this and go forward in their lives. At first Eeiran comes off as a selfish person who only thinks of herself, you soon realize that it is actually the opposite. He is kind, gentle, caring, and loving with a mixture of feelings he would do anything to help and keep his family safe. Philip is confused, angry, hurt but in the end, you could tell he is falling in love with his mate. All he had to do is get over the little bit of information he became privy to. The sex is hot and sensuous.

I admit that at first this story comes off as a bit hard to get into. I just couldn’t get my head into the twist and turns that you get from this story. However, once you get to start reading it you get caught in the story. It has the right amount of danger, excitement and adventure, with the mix of feelings that make you cry in parts, laugh in others. I do love how they can overcome all their problems and turn them into rewards for each other. It is a story that you can get lost into, make your troubles disappear. I would recommend reading this story.

Review: Jacob and Grayson have grown up together as foster brothers, with Jacob telling incredible tales to the younger Grayson. Now as adults, they live together and Grayson is still addicted to Jacob’s wonderful stories, but what happens when those stories seem to come to life? Jarkebb is Elven and was banished when he was young to find the one the prophesy spoke of, finally called back home he brings Grayson back with him hoping that Gray will be able to handle the truth. Grayson is human and awakes alone and thinks he is in an incredible dream and sets out to find the characters that Jacob spoke of, knowing that they will lead him back to his best friend, Grayson begins to unite the people of Gaea. Bailin is Faerie and finds himself with an important part to play in the prophesy; bring the leader of the enemy to Gray. Together they will bring together the people of Gaea and fight the evil who wishes to rule.

Oh what a brilliant fun story, I loved every second of it and can’t wait for the second installment! Grayson is a brilliant character who, for a long time, wished he was in a coma dreaming the world he finds himself in, when faced with reality he has already begun the journey that the prophesy speaks of. Jacob/Jarkebb loses his memory on the journey back to Gaea but luckily is found by his betrothed, unable to remember but knowing there is something he has to do. Bailin is reluctant in his task at first but finds something he didn’t think he ever would and embraces his task. All three of these characters are given their own little stories within this story, finding the ones they are meant to love.

I actually found this story to be the beginning of an epic adventure of the fantasy kind; it is filled with fantasy creatures that are arrogant, friendly, awkward, and brilliant. We meet many important characters who drag you into this wonderful story and take you away from reality. The storyline is actually a pretty simple one that is easy to follow, although we have different characters perspectives it is never confusing, it is very clear who we are following so we don’t get lost or dumped out of the story.

Grayson is a blast to follow, he has no qualms about riding roughshod over someone when it is needed, he couldn’t care less what race or species he is talking to, they all get treated the same. Jacob and Bailin both play their parts well and we see how they fit in but their parts aren’t as big as Gray’s, maybe we will see more of them in future books. While Gray is exceptional at getting people to work together he is terrible with his own love life, it takes a long time for him to accept who The Lady Gaea has bound him to, but he gets there in the end. Oh and a very special shout out for Misha, he was my favorite character and an absolute sweetheart.

So recommending this story is easy, especially if you love high fantasy, brilliant characters, an epic adventure, bringing people together, finding love and accepting it and an ending that lets you know there is plenty more adventure to come.

Blurb: In this sequel to the best-selling novel, The Oasis, Elias and Josh are celebrating their first anniversary. When Elias’s baby mama, Carina, takes their son, Julio, to the Disney resort in Hawaii, Josh urges Elias to organize a romantic vacation in Palm Springs. He wants some place private and cozy, and he wants to invite gay porn star, Samuel Colt, since they did promise the guy an anniversary threesome.

And then… disaster. From the start, everything goes wrong. The lakeside house Elias booked turns out to be a creepy, clapped-out, wreck of a trailer. He also has bigger worries. He can’t get Carina to return his calls. What is going on with her and why is Elias’s mom hiding in Carina’s hotel room closet? Why did Carina’s new boyfriend give Julio a weird animal for a birthday gift and why has some lunatic targeted Josh and Elias when this is supposed to be a fun-filled holiday weekend? And, uh-oh. Look who just showed up. Samuel Colt, looking less than impressed with the vacation house from hell…

Review: Once again, I was swept away by the beauty that was AJ Llewellyn’s writing. The book was so addictive. So amazing, I couldn’t get enough of it.

Elias and Josh want nothing more than some time alone together. When their buddy Samuel gives them a call asking if they could get together for another threesome, Elias wants nothing more than to deal with the drama around him. But when Carina comes into town, he lets his son see her mother and spend some time with her thinking nothing is going on behind his back. He sets up the vacation and heads out knowing his son will be watched over…even if it isn’t by good hands. God only knows where those nasty hands of Carina’s have been.

But when he finds out she’s in a sex ring while he’s on vacation, his mind is blown. Even after he finds out her boyfriend is bisexual and is getting services from his friend Samuel.

In a complex story of twists and turns, love always prevails. And it still does with this book. I found myself mesmerized from page one and couldn’t wait to find out more. It is so addicting you’ll crave another volume of AJ’s work.

I would highly recommend this to anyone that has read the first one. Trust me. You won’t regret it.

Review: If you like, a nice mystery combined some sweet romance; Edward Kendrick is the author for you. These stories are a great choice to snuggle up on a cold winter night or for a nice day on the beach.

The Martin twins are quite the charming pair. I loved how a mystery of closeted gay men being brutally slain, brought these four men together.

Chance and Derek are twins. Chance was a TV reporter but a bad split with a competitive boyfriend ended that career. Derek his twin manages a costume shop, it’s near Halloween and he just finds out his ex-boyfriend was murdered about the time they broke up and is panicking.

He meets Nico a cop that comes to question him and soon things take a strange turn. Soon Tyler chances ex gets involved trying to get a story and perhaps something else. Wanna know what else he wants? Read the book!!

I found the mystery fun, the men funnier!

If you like a cozy mystery, a little suspense, loving relationships, reporters, hot cops and a sweet ending this is definitely for you!
