Blurb: Loxis lost his fated mate years ago, and he put aside all ideas of ever falling in love. He devoted his life to fighting demons and helping their victims to fill the void left in his heart. Everything changed when he was summoned to fight a demon and help rescue a young man named Hiroki. Loxis can’t fight his feelings for the damaged young man, but he fears scaring Hiroki with his desires.

Hiroki has finally emerged from a lifetime of pain and torture, and he wants nothing more than to share that life with the man who rescued him. Review: This is book three in this series and you should read them in order.
I love paranormal stories especially when it brings romance to the table. Loxis had lost his mate years ago and was afraid to fall in love with. He just didn’t trust not to get hurt. He had decided to kill demons and help their victims. He thought that somehow this would fill his loneliness and heartache. Well that was until he saved a man who had been hurt by the demons. Hiroki was damaged. However, he wants the man who saved him.

Hiroki had been held by the demons, filled with pain and torture. He was scared of what was to come. He did want Loxis, the vampire that had saved him. Now all he had to do was get the vampire to go right along with him. He will do everything in his power to get Loxis to stop treating him like a fragile female and take him as his own. Loxis wants Hiroki also, but was he willing to take the chance on getting hurt again. How the mighty might just fall.

This is a really cute story. It takes a bit to get into it but once you get there you will find yourself falling in love with them. I love that they have the abilities to overcome all their pain and fears and to turn them into the gifts that they should have. I love it and can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

I would recommend this story to anyone who loves paranormal’s, vampires, sexy men, hot love and a bit of quirkiness. If you need a little bit of space to lose yourself in, I would recommend picking up this story and reading it. It is such a cute story that is beautifully written with the right amount of seriousness and humor. It lets you know just how much pain someone can take and still is able to fall in love again. Marie has an amazing gift at telling a story. I was glad to have a chance to read this story and will be checking out the rest of her books.

Blurb: For the free-spirited Park Williams, leaving the relative safety of the Willow Springs Ranch for a remote cabin near Flagstaff to spend some quality alone time with his new boyfriend seems like a no-brainer. They can get to know each other while hiding away from the bad guys who may or may not be looking to kill his lover. At least it seems like a good idea right up until the minute he is standing on the front porch, with a man he’s known less than three weeks, and who spent two of those weeks in police custody. Oh, shit.

Tanner Triplett is having a bad month. After two attempts on his life, he’s helped put his father and brother behind bars, lost his beloved ranch, and oh yeah…stepped out of the closet in a big way. But it remains to be seen if he’s in bigger danger from the men he’s agreed to testify against, or the golden-haired, cosmic-quoting devil trying to kill him with soy-gurt.

Join Park, Tanner, and their dogs Scooby and Taco as they make the move east to the Mountain Shadows Resort to meet up with their new neighbors and join in the fun that is Pulp Friction 2014.

Review: When I started reading this book, I recognized Park and was curious. I have the Willow Springs Books and thought Park was familiar from the title of the last book. As I read on, I found out I was right and wondered if I would be totally lost reading this without having finished the WSC books. But, as I read the other books in this round of Pulp Friction, I was intrigued by the mention of Park. I will say that the book stood on it’s own, pretty well. Though, it did make me want to read the book Park is in from the other series. Just as each of these books entices you to read the rest.

I absolutely loved Park. He is a very intriguing feisty, colourful character with lots of heart. I loved that he is vegan and strict in his beliefs. Park and Tanner fit into this series seamlessly and I hope I get to see much more of them.

The story had an interesting plot, introduced the characters well and had enough backstory to fill you in and draw you in.
I recommend this if you like cowboys (yes Tanner is a cowboy), mystery, dogs, young love and interactive series this is for you.

Review: This is book two of the In From the Cold series and part of a collaboration called Pulp Friction. The book does stand-alone ok, but to get the full impact and understand who all of the characters are it is best to read each series in order and the reading order of the Pulp Friction.

Cold Comfort picks up where Cold Snap left off with Finn still trying to figure out how to get through to Cannon. The story is full of emotion and has a bit of suspense tossed in. There is lots of sexual tension as Cannon tries to keep his distance from Finn but can’t resist the pull. Then a real twist was tossed in with Cannon’s interest in one of the new tenants, Park. I will say that but really shocked me, since I’ve been following Cannon since the years books. I still am not in love with Cannon but he is intriguing. Finn on the other hand is extremely sexy.

If you like college professors, men with secrets, hot sexy Norse God looking men, a little hot mansex and a surprising ending this is for you.

Blurb: This is book one in the Beer and Clay series
Sometimes unpredictable is exactly what’s needed, but can Corner Pub owner Damon convince shy Thursday night regular Toby of that?

Damon loves his life—his bar, his employees and his beer. He especially loves Thursdays. That’s when the mysterious little redhead dances into his bar, drinks two honey wheat brews, and flits right back out.

Toby’s comfortable. He has a good job, great friends, and he is paid to do what he loves—sculpt. His life is great, if a little predictable. And if he secretly wears a plug to Corner Pub every Thursday, well…that’s nobody’s business but his.

But when Toby meets Damon, his predictable little life flies right out the window. Damon shows him the big, wide world of the Dom/sub lifestyle, plugs and piercings, and teaches him that maybe, unpredictable is exactly what Toby needed all along.

Review: Enthralling, interesting, and erotic as hell, this novella is deliciously written. Sean Michael is not afraid to go there and bring you into the worlds he writes. I love his work.

Damon knows how to get under people’s skin and into their minds. He runs and owns the Pub. And as works his job, he keeps an eye on Toby a regular. Toby is one of those regular people who has almost nothing special going on for him. But when he meets Damon, he cannot help the range of emotions that flow through him.

Hot sexy and erotic, I love everything about this book. The story is hot and solid. The way Damon and Toby interact makes me want to know them more. And just when I think I know nothing about these two, I find out it is in a series. I cannot wait to start reading the next book. It is so worth the read.

Review: I love nothing more than for a comfortable story to come my way. And when I heard about this story and saw what it was about, I had to get it. It is the fifth in a series and I don’t recommend you read this book series out of order. I don’t know what it is about this book but it is alluring and interesting. Once I started reading it, I found Ryan to be smooth and well written. He knows how to take care of his clients. And he soon learns what they look for. Patrick is the client and he knows what he wants. And when he comes across Ryan, he finds himself unable to stop staring. Thank god for having Ryan as his escort.

The story is hot, fluid, and sensual. Amazing, sexy. This story is so worth it. And it is well priced too. I would highly recommend this story to those that like hot romances that don’t cross too far into the other side of romance. I would highly recommend it and say that it is best to read this series in order.

Review: Logan is a porn star, but very unhappy with his life. He longs to be able to find someone to make him actually feel again. His life seems to be robotic or n autopilot and unfulfilling. He decides to take a holiday to see if he can just clear his head and get away from work and hook-ups. He has no intention of having sex, just wanting to get away from it all. He finds a gay friendly resort and on the bus to the secluded hideaway meets a few new friends.

I really, really liked this book a lot. When I started reading and saw all the sex from the porn work, I sighed thinking the book would be very pornish. I was definitely wrong. Don’t get me wrong I do like some porn style sex but this book wasn’t one of those. I found the story full of emotion. I loved how Logon and R.J. evolved and I will say this story isn’t predictable. At a few stages, I thought I knew what was next but was fooled. The apex of the story had me dropping my jaw and my heart thudding with one of those ‘I didn’t see that coming moments’.

If you like porn stars, gay resorts, sexy, hot gay romance with a surprising twist but a satisfying ending this is for you!

Review: This is the third and final book of this story. If you haven’t read the first two, I suggest you do. This series does need to be read in order. It could stand alone but you really wouldn’t get the proper feel of the characters.
Having said that, this is the perfect finale. It begins with more angst and emotion of Jack and Andrew. These two men sure went through all kinds of hell to get to where they are.

Jack tries to hunt down Andrew after his past ordeal, but his family moved leaving no trace. Jack is almost ready to believe that Andrew either is dead or doesn’t want anything else to do with Jack after all they have been through.
Andrew had suffered his own ordeal while Jack was away and thought Jack was dead. Since that is what Jack’s dad told him. He took rides form truckers, sometimes having to give blowjobs for food to survive. He finally gives up and decides to go back Sweet and end it all on Jacks grave.

I know sad isn’t it? The things these two guys go through in high school are horrible, but it makes you stop and think. Bullying isn’t always kids and school. Adults can be even worse. Child abuse can happen in even the best of homes. I loved how Sara dealt with the themes and in this book wrapped the story up in a nice neat package intriguing, package. I did cry quite a few times so I would suggest you keep tissues handy. I would love to see young Billy’s story…hint hint…

If you like awesome series, books dealing with difficult topics, such as child abuse, big families, angst, hot yet loving ManSex, interesting characters, and a satisfying conclusion to an intriguing series this are for you.

Review: Garret is nearing retirement age for a bull rider and trying to win as many circuits as he can so he can retire, but the draw of the adrenaline and cheer from the crowds is hard to want to let go. He longs to find a man to love and settle down but doesn’t see finding one in the rodeo circuit. He meets Cole and has to have him, but will one night be enough? Then all hell breaks loose. What hell?

I love a good story of cowboys, and I really like different characters such as multicultural or different races. I loved that Garret was a black cowboy and that he faced a lot being a rodeo rider being both black and gay.

The story has a lot of mystery and it starts out quickly. I found the mystery interesting but when all is said and done, I was left with so many unanswered questions, even though the story had a fairly good ending. I will look for the next book to see what happens.

If you like rodeos, cowboys, mystery, and some hot ManSex this is for you.

Blurb: First time meetings can lead to many things, but when you meet the one guy you’re automatically attracted to—the chemistry sizzles. Strangers or not, it doesn’t matter. It’s lust at first sight and anything’s game…

Shy and socially awkward Tyler has been watching the construction site across from his house secretly lusting for the hot guys that work there, but when he finally comes face to face with the hot and sexy Italian, Marco, it’s lust at first sight! Marco is everything Tyler has ever dreamed of in a man, and his complete opposite in every way possible.

Marco’s life is all about hard work. From the moment he left home just after high school, he’d forged his own way in the world without ever knowing real love. But when he meets the cute guy who lives across the street from his work, he instantly feels something sizzling between them. But, Marco isn’t out and not sure if he’s ready to tell the world he’s gay, or even his own family.
Both guys yearn for something more in life and after a couple rounds of hot sex, and another chance meeting, they come to see that possibly there is something more between them than just lust.

Review: Too short of a story for my taste, but it was cute as can be. I love how the story was told and how it came together. This is book two in this cute series. If you want something to read on your break then this would be the one to choose.

Tyler has lived in his home for over three years and didn’t really date much. Heck he was still a virgin but when the construction started going on, he could not help but watch the hot men who worked there. And it would seem that Marco liked watching him back. On one of Tyler’s normal walks to take sneak peeks at the guys, Marco approaches him. Then they come across each other at the club. One thing leads to another and things start heating up between them. Marco was still in the closet with his family and friends, but he didn’t hide it.

Like I said this is a really cute little story. I can see why sometimes one doesn’t come out to their family due to many different types of fears, but I love how Marco doesn’t want to hide it any more. I also love how they see something in each other that they themselves seem to miss. I do wish that this story just kept on going though. It would make for a really good book to read one afternoon when you need a pick me up.

Review: Now this is a story one will fall in love with. It talks about two very special men that meet and fall in love. It was told with such humor that will make you smile when you read it.

Jordan is from a wealthy family working at a popular coffee shop. He has this cool apartment and comes to find out a very sexy new neighbor. It will catch your attention from the start and will keep it all the way to the end. I love the way Jordan and Grant meet. With sly innuendoes and sleek smiles. It is laced with so much humor from the guys that you can’t help but love them.

Grant lost his eyesight awhile back in a car accident and has gotten use to it, well the only way one can sometimes. He has taken an apartment that is right across from Jordan. They meet one morning and what caught his attention was the humor from Jordan. He knew that he wanted this man. He takes him to a new Italian restaurant on their first date and shows him what he does for a living. He writes reviews for a newspaper and mixes pleasure with work. What he had not expected was the danger that catches up to Jordan for his review.

This story has everything one asks for in a book two hot and sexy men, great sex, danger, and excitement. I just wished that it were longer going more into their lives. It also tells about such a wonderful parents and their absolute love for their son. I love the little twist that this story gives you.

“Dark Love” is a paranormal romance set in Stephen del Mar’s Bennett Bay region of Florida. There are witches, faeries, bears, twinks, a dragon drive by, and one very determined fag hag. Once again del Mar gives us the rich texture of his Florida setting that goes from the bayside tourist town of Bennett Bay to the backwater country hamlet of Live Oak. Remember, things are not always what they seem. And be careful what you do under the light of the full moon!

Review: This is one of the books for the Bennet Bay series. It is a pretty good book. It comes off really dark fantasy type though. I wasn’t to sure what to think about it though. It seemed old world to me.

Dieter wants love and family. When his uncle passes away he goes down to the old farm to look around and say goodbye, but in reality, he is just left with more questions. He goes down there and meets up with his brother to discuss what they should do. However, his brother shocks him with his attitude and then even more when he leaves him there alone. When one of his best friends, Innes come down to spend the time with him and help him he is appreciative of the help. But it just gets even stranger for him. It would seem that the little box he had assumed was just an urn was in fact a soul catcher with magic surrounding it. His friend is a witch and gets a bit scared from it. What surprises him was when Innes tells him not to get any of his sperm into the box that holds the soul catcher and the ashes of Borris. A drinker who can only survive on the orgasm and sperm of men. The love of the Dieter’s uncle. Dieter is just about as lost as one can be.

Back in the time when the Nazi’s were in power is where the story truly begins. Dieter’s uncle, Wolfgang was thirteen years old and was in the Nazi camp. Most people remember that the Nazi’s were into the paranormal world and did experiments on people. When they came across someone who could only survive on sperm, they found a way to make his pain even worse. When Boris was not fed, he would go into a blood lust and would kill those around him. However, Wolfgang was the only one who truly saw Boris and not a monster. They had fallen in love. The Nazi’s were going to kill Boris in front of Wolfgang and that would destroy him. He had found away to keep his soul alive. Then many years later after Wolfgang’s death, Dieter comes home for the funeral. Finds the box and tells his best friend. Innes is a witch and knew what the box was, so in a fit of frustration tells Dieter not to get his sperm in it. Talk about a fantastic twist.

Dieter isn’t to sure about his friends and doesn’t have a clue about the paranormal stuff that seems to be coming around. Witches, faeries, bears, dragons and a very determined fag hag are only parts of the surprises coming around. And all he thinks about is the fact that he is just a restaurant owner who lost his uncle. So despite Innes talk about sperm and the box, he chooses not to listen. And Boris is brought back. Cursed he is still in the body of a nineteen year-old. They knew that they had to figure out how to help Boris.

When I heard this title I thought paranormal for sure, but it also comes off kind of different. The box that had held Boris’s spirit had a saying on it, to dust and from dust. Dark love grows from the seed planted under the full moon. Now when you get this story your thinking just about the paranormal parts to it, but it shows you something that many people still think is true. The Dark Love is in fact the love between two men.

It is the first time that I have heard that the love between two men was dark love, but it makes sense that some people thought that. I never really understood it though. I can’t help but think that these people need to see that this love is in fact very special. With this book, you get the feeling of the love these men have for each other. I love how Dieter meets Yanko. Their eyes meet their attraction to each other strong. Yanko is there for it all and Dieter finally realizes he loves this man more than anything in this world. He would give up everything to keep his lover safe.

I would recommend this book to everyone. It gives you everything that you can ever want. I love the dark fantasy touch, the different types of paranormal creatures, the love of Dieter and Yanko, and the way that everyone in this story is a family. A family not of blood but of love and choice. It is an amazing story and I cannot wait to read more from this author.

Review: The third and final part of this saga picks up exactly where it left on the second book. Our nine incredible members of the Court have finally some clue as to who is behind the incidents happening in Dargoth and why. And just like the previous two books, this one as well starts with a power kick of action, attacks on all fronts, hideous and crippling losses, even death among the fellowship. The pace is fast and furious alternating between fights, unexpected attacks, and even more unexpected relationships forming between our guys.

Dubious characters that were somewhat in between good and evil take form now and even more plots are discovered as the story goes. Frankly, this was one hell of a ride when it came to conspiracy and having the enemy no two steps ahead but a whole damned mile. If you have ever played a high fantasy MMORPG and taken part in raids with big bossed that needed a huge amount of planning strategy in how to freaking down them; if you’ve ever gone into wipefest after wipefest trying to down the same boss for hours then you definitely appreciate this entire sage, and even more so this final book. For me it felt the same way as when I was raiding Icecrown in World of Warcraft, and this final scene quite literally reminded me of the damned Lich King who in the end, even after you killed him, he still continued to go on.

That means I simply loved it. I love everything about his story. I loved how things panned out with Misty and Blue, and yes, I cried for Misty. I loved Arrowsmith and Infamous’ story even as it literally ripped my heart apart, stomped all over it only to have it put back yet again a bit raw, a bit tender, but definitely mellow and sweet in the end. I died with joy, laughter and pain for my beloved Ice Prince Monshika. I cannot begin to tell you how freaking brilliant that relationship was and how much an emotional rollercoaster it turned out to be. I still wonder at what became of Sly and was finally satisfied with his role and the fact that we got to finally see in his soul.

Gosh, there are so many thing to say, this book was so intense and with a nonstop action pace, but I fear I cannot spoil it for you. For me it was fantastic, it reminded me why I loved playing games so much and if you’re a lover of high fantasy, if you are and/or were at some point a gamer, I feel you will adore this trilogy just like I did. Definitely recommended!

Review: This is a weird surrealistic work of fiction where time is not defined, worlds exist without much information and the basic structure of them is somewhat vague. The story starts on an asteroid, property of the Cooperation and bound to its funds. Mr. Cretar and Danton, the owner and employer of the Show await final judgment and Rashiva comes to deliver the bad news. The Show is off, and a new era begins. Keramusians, humans and a whole lot of other creatures including robots are this universe’s inhabitants. Keramusians are depicted as the creators of the humans, some kind of Gods yet the war between creator and creature that raged for years was finally over twenty years ago. The Prince of Keramusians and the Prime Minister of Earth are pro peace, a peace fragile that is shattered the moment the Prince is killed…

A conspiracy theory plot with so many elements in a sci-fi fiction work with a lot of world’s details can make it awfully difficult for you to sit back and enjoy while comprehending. The fact that time slips by without being defined makes this reading a hardship though it never stops gripping you in its web. The romantic relationship that dominates the story is yet another element that makes your head spin. It escalates quickly and without enough roots or ground to be based upon, yet it comes almost as a predefined thing, as if destiny made it be so. The couple has no real ties to keep them together in loyalty yet that’s exactly where they remain.

Sometimes nothing ever makes sense and others there is a world of sophistication going on behind this weird relationship. No, there are no intimate scenes to strengthen the bond, it all comes from a self-sufficient source, and the love between this couple becomes stronger and stronger without reason or evidence, even as the relationship itself is drenched in lies and conspiracy. But the point that love will prevail insists upon existing and in the end, it does exactly that. Realistic? Hardly. Everything is beyond that. This world, this setting, this whole story is all fiction based upon some noble ideas that give it a hint of tangible, but ultimately it remains out of reach.

There is a controlled chaos that characterizes the writing style here. It’s not all dumped into you, it’s not a mere throw out of info and ideas. But the read surely isn’t what we call approachable. In the end, I must answer one question; did I like it?
Yes and no. The fact that I felt lost most of the time was not enjoyable. The time frame not being defined was a burden. I loved the conspiracy plot and how it went, though even that didn’t have a proper closure. I loved the creatures here a lot. They were something I’d like to read more about. But overall, everything needed a bit more for me, especially the relationship part, that needed a proper birth and blooming period, which it lacked. The end itself was frustrating as hell; was it a cliffhanger? I don’t know, I didn’t get the feeling a sequel is to come and shed a bit light to the many questions left behind.

So bottom end, it was a good read, but not good enough.

Review: This was quite a read, fun, enjoyable, and somewhat inspiring.

So let’s make it clear from the start for people who dismiss the blurb and/or don’t really understand it. The story is set on the 19th century and the main character is a woman raised in a convent in Spain. Back then women had no power whatsoever, no freedom to do as they pleased, and they were simply assets and “jewels” in a “man’s world” surrounded by rules and restrictions. Our main character Anna is a dominant woman living in a world where her dreams to live with her lover Pia are quite impossible. Her only way to achieve that in her mind is to become the mistress of a wealthy aristocrat, gather as much jewelry and money as she can, and life with her lover as two spinsters somewhere remote in the future.

That seemed like the only feasible option until she met Sebastian. Sebastian is not only a man in a man’s world, he is also a capable soldier and a wealthy aristocrat. You’d think he has it easy, but he is as much a prisoner of his life and “duties” as Anna and Pia, with the difference that he’s more let’s say able to live a little behind the scenes in utmost secret. He craved for a life where he could be dominated by his loved one, but such dreams are impossible even for him. Until he meets Anna and the possibility to have even a fraction of his dreams, come true is right around the corner.

It is astonishing how beautifully written this book is when it comes to pointing out society’s control and rule over one’s life. I seriously loved the creative and light way all these things were brought to life in this story. Sebastian’s submissiveness allows Anna to take her lover Pia with her, and the three of them, under the disguise of matrimony and friendship achieve what would have been a pipe dream. They become a chain of sorts, one depending on the other and the last link comes to bind them in the form of Farleigh, the English Duke (and previous Dom/lover of Sebastian) who is severely hurt by his “duty’s” commend and his crushed dreams. His longing of freedom within his “golden bounds” is drowned in shame and society’s shunning of anything that is not “black and white”, so when every fantasy he’s harbored deep in his soul has the possibility of coming to life, he can’t even accept it for what it is, his fears that it can’t be done tainting his soul.

Every single one of these characters is unique though they share the same passions. They make it so easy for you to like them and take this journey along with them. Anna is domineering and quite exquisite in her ambitions and determination. Pia, utterly sensuous in her abandonment to Anna’s will, but strong enough to have her mind and wishes when it’s out of the bedroom. Sebastian is glorious (I wish for such a husband myself) hot as hell too, and Leigh, oh dear Lord what a charming man. I wish he had a bit more space in the book, for poor guy came in nearly the end of the story.

What was a fem/fem relationship in the beginning turned into a steaming hot ménage with two girls and a fantastic man who loved to please, ending in a glorious quartet that made you sigh in tandem with these two couples. The sensuous flow of erotic scenes was never-ending, the eroticism each and every one of them gave was pant-worthy, the way they combined into/with each other was magical, and the final balance had me wistfully sighing. There was no lack of envy while reading this I’m not ashamed to admit. As much as I’m not into F/F reading, this book managed to grip me in its web and not let go until the very end.

Recommended to all who enjoy queer, ménage, swinging and all in between.

Review: This is book seven in this amazing series and should be read in order. It will keep you from getting lost and will give you a great thrill.

I am not really sure what to think of this particular book but I did like it. A. J. always gives you a world that you can lose yourself into. Wonderful characters that you will not only love but also cheer on in their future adventures.

Kimo and his husband Lopaka have been hiding their children from the dangers that search to hurt them. They hide in the secret and mysterious Kahuna Village on the Big Island. Hawaii has many traditions and has many fears. They know of the ancient village but only as a myth. For hundreds of years, it has been there to help the sick, the injured, and those who are in serious danger. I love the magical part of these two men. It is Halloween time and the kids are dressed up, and they can make the costume’s ears dance. I love the way they seem so happy and can make the children laugh with such glee. When Sammy comes up missing, they go in search. What they find is a ghost taking over his body. Aoi is a hundred-year-old ghost. She was a murdered female Japanese dancer. She was also lost.

Kimo is the Keeper of Secrets. He keeps the secrets of the old ways and has protected his family to the best of his abilities. But when they get Aoi to leave Sammy’s body, she in turn goes in to Lopaka’s body. The problem is she is getting use to the change and doesn’t want to leave. However, she also knows that she needs to find what she calls The Pureland. It involves taking a journey back in time. Now if they can only get her to understand she doesn’t belong in this time and that Lopaka does.

It has a fantasy side to it as well as the fact that there is a ghost haunting them. I love the mixture that this story gives you. I will never look at Hawaii the same way though. I would definitely recommend reading this. It will make you laugh at some parts of it. It has the right amount of humor and danger to it. I love the way they all love each other and show it through not only their actions but also their words. It gives you a warm feeling when you read it. To know that they would give their lives up to save the ones that they love and will protect them at all cost.

Review: Well, I’ll be damned if this wasn’t an awesome instalment to this series. To be very honest I had somehow given up that this series would make that leap and go from flat and bland to something more, but as I said this instalment certainly went beyond my expectations.

That’s not to say there weren’t stereotypes, clichés, and the “fated forced mating” that I so much despise. But – at that is one huge “but” – the story made up for all those in a most exciting way for me. Made me think Ms. Bailey Bradford is getting better and better at her writing and conveying of emotions/feeling through written text. Because there was one hell of a charge and chemistry and electrifying eroticism nearly palpable all over the lines, the kinky stuff were deliciously written, shocking in their introduction, but amazingly developed as the mated bond went deeper and deeper.

And at this point, I’m going to put a full stop and go back a bit as the need to go over the characters is becoming heavy. Keegan; oh my freaking God, loved him. Totally loved him, even as he made one hell of a 180 turn the moment he laid hands on Olin. Did you notice I said hands not eyes? Yup, hands, because he sure fought the bond as much as he could. But who would have thought that Keegan, the control freak out turn so pliant when Shorty went to claim him… Just loved it! It was fun, it was hot, it made sense, and I had a blast reading this story. As for Olin, damn he was all short guys with a chip on their shoulders are. But I liked the fact that the author didn’t magically change him, rather let him slowly learn and accept and adapt to all the changes “Fate” threw his way. That short son of a … made my heart race with his sadistic streak, because yeah, this was one kinky/sadomasochistic read I absolutely adored.

Action wise, well there was intensity and a hell lot of running, but the story is left unfinished giving you the notion that another instalment linked with this one is going to continue this particular story in the future. The villain remains a mystery and a big, scary cat comes in to blur the waters. It is known that in Ms. Bradford world there are no known other shifters beside werewolves, but things are changing and they are damned well enticing. Perhaps this author has more to give in this series after all.

Definitely recommended to fans of the genre and there is that big promise of a change for the future instalment in this one, thus making this book a bit of a necessity in order to catch up with the twist on the path. Enjoy, I sure as hell did.

Review: This was a very interesting story. I quite enjoyed it and was pleasantly surprised by the twist and turns that it had. I love that you have some of your questions answered. It caught my attention from the very start and kept it all the way to the end. It kept me on the edge of my seat. I was amazed with the way their world’s just come together even if it is in the way of a war. Helena has a gift at giving you a story and a world that you can lose yourself into. She has given you a mixture of people who just sort of come together. It shows you the prejudice of humans and vampires. It has an old tone to it. Made me think of the past when I read it.

Charlie was a teacher who moved in with his parents when he came back to his hometown. His best friend Val had somehow gotten tickets to a show and he wasn’t too sure he really should go. However, he goes to it after learning that the head of the show is a vampire. The Grace is known for fighting for equal rights for her species and the humans. When he met Micah, he feels the attraction and decides to go with him. It isn’t till after the sex, that Micah is a vampire. Vampires are feared and there is segregation going on. They are not to leave their town and humans are not to enter theirs, although there are rebels in both groups. He can’t seem to stop thinking about Micah though and knows that he wants to see him again.

Micah started feeling things for Charlie but their worlds are so far apart. He also knows something dangerous is going on. And when the singer, the Grace is murdered questions start coming forth. He finds out Charlie is digging around trying to find the answers. He fears for him, especially when humans also end up getting killed. He knew the answers but had been trying to fix the problem. What he had not expected was Charlie was returning his feelings and wanted to be with him.

This story has it all and you will be pleasantly pleased when you read it. It gives you murder, danger, excitement, adventure, two sexy men, and old minded bigotry. One man is a human and the other a vampire, their worlds collide in passion filled moments. I would recommend reading this story. It will give you everything you seek. It did however leave me hanging at the end. So I can only hope that there will be another book to follow this one.

Blurb: Henry “Hank” Abraham’s privileged status in the floating city of Heaven lets him flout Morality Laws that control the lives of others. But when he wakes up in the arms of another stranger, only bodyguard Ian Caldwell’s quick thinking saves his life.

Though Ian’s from the low levels and the labor class, he’s used to dealing with the pampered society of Heaven. He’s assigned to protect Hank while angels, cybernetically modified humans who defend Heaven, investigate the assassination attempt. Doing his job means Ian must ignore his growing interest in Hank. Acting on their mutual attraction would certainly get Ian reprogrammed, something neither of them can afford.

When Hank follows Ian to a popular BDSM club in Downside and his ID chip is lost during a nearly fatal mugging, he finds himself locked out of Heaven. As Ian fights to get them home, rumors of impending war begin to circulate—along with more troubling news that Ian is wanted for Hank’s murder. While struggling to keep the man he has come to love safe, Ian must find out who’s behind the plot and if it’s a catalyst for war or just a convenient excuse.

Review: This was a book whose world-set caused many, many questions in me. The basic society set up is the classic element of how rich people are viewed against the less fortunate.

Hank has everything he wants and leads a life that has no purpose besides partying all night long. When his life is endangered by assassinations attempts though, Ian, his bodyguard saves him time and again. Hank is used to getting what he wants, but there is simply one thing he can’t get his hands on, Ian. For Ian pursuing anything with Hank could mean losing everything he has achieved. Having male-male intercourse is against the law, but Ian’s lifestyle is even more dangerous than that. Being a Dom is not easy in Heaven, so Ian often travels Downside to Hell to sate his cravings.

When Hank follows him there it’s both the best thing he could do, and the very worse, for while he avoided being killed in his own apartment by doing so, both Ian and Hank are trapped Downside with assassins the last thing on their mind. They are in danger if they stay, but in greater danger if the go back too.

The plot is not challenging, yet it still remains interesting. I admit to have been charmed by it and reading it with great curiosity. It was evident from the beginning who was behind the murder attempts. Still the action was fun. Perhaps it was the most enjoyable thing in this book.

The world-set is what rather blew my mind. It was a very interesting idea what with angels being computerized humans, made of high-tech, floating cities that were called Heaven, different tiers on the Heaven’s society, politics that made even the notion of the most peaceful place a pit of hyenas and cobras set on poisoning and turning against each other. The classic angels are non-existent here and I admit that it intrigued me. God AI? Heh, it definitely had a ring about it. However, it begged for more questions. We see that Angels are humans wiped out of emotions and loaded with high-tech. So what are the Demons? Why were the demons depicted as the classic ones, with leathery wings, horns and golden eyes? Angels gained their power from technology, but where did Demons take their power from? Heaven was created after the old Earth was destroyed by greed or whatever, so humans were forced to build floating cities, the rich went higher and the laborers who built the cities remained on the lower tiers with the very unfortunate people remaining on “Hell” aka Earth. The angels abandoned the fight for earth and literally left it behind to the demons…

Still I insist on knowing where did the Demons come from in first place? How were they summoned? From where? If God was AI, who is Megatron? What was Anael, why was she so unique (I’m smelling intrigue here)? Who is behind these mysterious figures? Who created them in first place? And most importantly, what was the cause behind the angels’ reaction in the end of this story?

Questions, questions, questions… I wonder if I’ll get an answer for them, and frankly, this is the only thing keeping me intrigued and wanting to read the next book, because as it is, this entire thing is full of holes, and the intimate parts of it quite failed. I wonder if I should go there. I just need to point out for the author’s benefit as well, that having a sex scene between two people ending in about a couple of minutes to mere seconds every time is not fun. Especially when the BDSM element is thrown there and one of them is a total virgin at the scene, including the “morality” brainwashing of years, finding pain as erotic so suddenly, it was just too hasty and hazy, while it required a lot of developing. In any case, the romantic thing between Ian and Hank could have been dealt much, much better. As it was, it failed for me.

But, you’ll notice how I still have 3 Hearts for this book. I liked despite all the above. I liked the action and I want more, and if you don’t count, the sex scenes I liked the whole flirting and chasing that went between this pair so, there. I hope the next one covers my curiosity though.
