Review: Each book in The Year of Moons collection features a different romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

There is nothing better than a paranormal romance involving two gorgeous men. I do love the unique way this story is told, although I must admit the series name doesn’t really catch me. I did love the title and the fact that it just seems to pull you in. It was a refreshing story that I did enjoy reading.

However I have to say that cheating is a no go for me and brought the story to a down side. That is one of my major hates and when an author puts that in, I do not look forward to reading any more of that series. I absolutely hated that and felt for Braden.
Ville was a horrible creep when he finds out that Braden was his mate. Made me hate him and wished that Braden had another mate. Ville swears that it is his demon part of him but in the end we know what will happen.

The story is well written and had a lot of depth to it. I wasn’t really sure if I liked it or not. I hope that the next story doesn’t have the same problems this one did. I still think Braden deserves another mate. However the ending was a bit better than I had expected.

Marie Medina is an amazing author and I do look forward to reading her stories, but this one just didn’t do it for me.

Blurb: Stryker has been looking forward to finding his fated mate for decades, but from the start, nothing goes as he’d dreamed. His mate refuses to even meet him, denying the mate bond without giving him a chance and actually running away to avoid hearing the vampire’s pleas.

Joseph sees humans who throw themselves at vampires as weak and stupid, and he has no intention of giving up his free will simply because a vampire orders him to. His heart has been through enough without being forced to pretend he loves someone, so he flees. He wants true love and sees no logic in trusting fate to simply drop the real thing right into his lap.

But Stryker refuses to give up and pursues his mate, prepared to do anything to make Joseph see what he’s really running away from.

Review: Joseph runs as soon as he’s told a vampire is his mate. He wants nothing to do with the man. Especially considering he’s already been in an abusive relationship and has no intentions of allowing someone else control him and tell him what to do.

Stryker, a vampire, is hurt and devastated to learn that instead of wanting to meet him his mate runs. Stryker does the only thing he can think of, he goes after Joseph. Upon finding him, he does something he should not have done. He lies to him and claims he’s someone he’s not.

I loved the entire story. Stryker going after Joseph was sweet and romantic however, he ruined it by not being truthful from the start but I understand why he didn’t. Joseph really needed to stop running every time he got upset it wasn’t healthy for him. So glad they got together as they seemed to be perfect for one another

Fantastic read. Highly recommended.

Review: Ian is a caring vampire who detests the death penalty. He in charge of housing a supposed murderer until the king’s arrival. What he doesn’t expect is for the prisoner to be his mate or a shifter. Even before he finds that out, he decides to help the man as much as he can.

Kamon is a shifter who has taken the blame for something he didn’t do and is fully prepared to die to protect the person guilty of the crime. He is stunned when he scents the vampire who comes to speak with him and discovers he’s his mate. But he knows all they have is a few days at best.

Such a wonderfully written story about two men who are deeply attracted to another. One trying his best to help prove the others innocence and the other who is stubborn and proud. I really enjoyed the details f how the book progressed especially about the crime and why it as committed. I didn’t understand how Kamon’s sister let her brother take the fall for something she did. It makes me wonder if she ever would’ve confessed to her crime if not Ian intervening on Kamon’s behalf.

I loved this story and can’t wait to see what the author has in store next. Highly recommended.

Review: This is an awesome story. One that I think you will not only love, but won’t be able to wait for the next story in this series. Marie always gives you a story that you can sink your teeth into. Wonderful characters that you will fall in love with and want to cheer on. I must admit that it was a bit hard to figure out but once you get into reading, it you won’t be able to put it down.

Kyros comes home to his brother’s place not expecting to get the surprise of his life. He has known Shigure for over a year, but had never taken blood from him. However, on his way there he had been attacked by a demon. Once he takes Shigure’s blood, he realizes that this sweet young man was his mate. There are a lot of surprises coming but he knows that together they can overcome a lot of them.
Shigure has been hurt in the past not in the way one would think though. He has been with women but was still a virgin in certain ways. He had never been with a man before, never actually thought about it either. However once Kyros tells him that he is his mate, things start to change. Kyros is a vampire and Shigure was a tiger shifter. Tiger shifters were very rare. He knew that his brother was mated but never really thought that he would be too.

I really loved this story. I love the way the characters act towards each other. It shows you that this series is going to be an amazing one. If you love paranormal stories then you should check this one out. It shows how they can overcome all differences and turn them in to gifts. I love how Kyros shows Shigure the love they can have. I can’t wait to read book two.

Review: This is book three in this series and you should read them in order.
I love paranormal stories especially when it brings romance to the table. Loxis had lost his mate years ago and was afraid to fall in love with. He just didn’t trust not to get hurt. He had decided to kill demons and help their victims. He thought that somehow this would fill his loneliness and heartache. Well that was until he saved a man who had been hurt by the demons. Hiroki was damaged. However, he wants the man who saved him.

Hiroki had been held by the demons, filled with pain and torture. He was scared of what was to come. He did want Loxis, the vampire that had saved him. Now all he had to do was get the vampire to go right along with him. He will do everything in his power to get Loxis to stop treating him like a fragile female and take him as his own. Loxis wants Hiroki also, but was he willing to take the chance on getting hurt again. How the mighty might just fall.

This is a really cute story. It takes a bit to get into it but once you get there you will find yourself falling in love with them. I love that they have the abilities to overcome all their pain and fears and to turn them into the gifts that they should have. I love it and can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

I would recommend this story to anyone who loves paranormal’s, vampires, sexy men, hot love and a bit of quirkiness. If you need a little bit of space to lose yourself in, I would recommend picking up this story and reading it. It is such a cute story that is beautifully written with the right amount of seriousness and humor. It lets you know just how much pain someone can take and still is able to fall in love again. Marie has an amazing gift at telling a story. I was glad to have a chance to read this story and will be checking out the rest of her books.

Review: This is book two in the series and should be read in order. I love the way this story was told. It has a bit of humor and serious to the story. Marie has a gift for storytelling. The way the characters come together just makes for a wonderful read. The struggles that each one goes through and the way they overcome all their problems makes it interesting.

Ryu is a dragon shifter and vampire. He has met his mate Takumi however the only problem is Takumi is taking his holy vows. Ryu and his friends have gone to stop him and show him that love is the way to go. Takumi is distraught when his mentor Mikimo is kidnapped by demons. Ryu is a strong and sexy man, but he doesn’t really know how to keep Takumi from taking his vows. What he does know is that he will do everything in his powers to keep Takumi safe. Takumi is sweet, innocent, and very tender. He is someone who everyone would fall in love with. He just comes off as best friends to some and lover to others. The sex is sweet, tender, and very passionate what there is of it.

There is a lot of danger, excitement and a bit of adventure to this story. It is a really cute short story, that I wish was longer. It does have a great descriptive script but it just needs a bit more to it. I loved both books in this series and I know you will too, that is if you like two very sexy men, a bit of danger and a lot of mystical characters. I will definitely be reading it more than once.

Review: I must say that this book is very intriguing. It caught my attention from the start and actually kept it all the way to the end.

It was told in such a serious tone, but did have its humorous parts also. Hatori is a half-breed, part Lycan part human. He knows that he should have died a long time ago, but went to the Lycans to find out if there was a cure. He had this desire for vampire blood and it was very sexual to the point. Kyo is basically the head of the vampires there, and he was as straight well as straight as he thought he was. After a strange way of tasting Hatori’s blood, he finds out that he has found his mate. Hatori is very easy to love, but lacks self-confidence and trust in himself. Kyo is strong and loyal, he is also very much in love with his mate.

You get these two together and they just about burn the house down with the passion between them. It is hot and steamy. You won’t be able to turn your head from this story. This story has lots of twist and turns that will drive you insane, but is very pleasing also. It will entice you to read this story more than once. I cannot wait to doing just that. I look forward to the next book in this series.

Review: I really loved Alec and Christian. They are so much in love that it makes me dream good thoughts. Alec worries that he isn’t enough to hold Christian and Christian helps him to understand that he will always love him no matter what. This story is a wonderful sequel to Switch Him Up. I would love to hear more about them and their life together. Great story line and great men make a wonderful read.

I like this story because it is so tender and sweet. It starts with Christian preparing a meal to celebrate the anniversary of when they got back together, after a misunderstanding that led them to a six-month breakup. Christian worries about Alec’s reaction to the meal, where as Alec’s worries about Christian. Christian struggled with his jealous tendencies and Alec worries that Christian will continue to overreact. They loved each other so much that they are willing to work through everything. Communication was their friend they just had to remember that.

Another problem is Alec’s wanted Christian’s domination. Unfortunately, the silent agreement between them had always been that Alec would top. He had wanted to feel control, now he wanted Christian’s to control him sometimes in the bedroom.

Add in a new stressor that has Alec feeling angry. He has to remind himself that he is very much in love with Christian, and that Christian is very much in love with him. To really appreciate this you should read the first book of this sequel. I love that both men are strong in one way, but in another, they are vulnerable in themselves and their love. It shows a side that every man and woman has, you just have to look for it.

I wished that this book was a little longer, but the story line was perfect in its own way.

Review: Frederic is a vampire and has a disease called the dissolution, He has met his mate but his mate is a male priest and half-demon. Three strikes.

Satoru, a priest and half demon, refuses to give up on trying to save Frederic.

This was one heck of a story and for some reason I picked up yet another series on book 3 seems to be my lucky number. If you didn’t know this was part of a series you’d never guess it stands alone that well. I will be getting the other two soon though.

These are such a unique take on mates, the resistance by one and fight and what the other had to give up was fabulous. The tension was nail-biting the sex hot and the plot interesting.

I recommend this to anyone that likes Vampires; demons mate bonds and hot mansex.

Review:  A very sweet short story about a magic painting that links different dimensions. Sounds lovely, but once you fall through, you’re stuck, so you’d better hope there’s someone you want to spend the rest of your life with on the other side. Jacob’s first reality in this new dimension was the sight of a masked fantasy coming towards him on a horse, complete with a cape; a highwayman who proceeded to steal his heart, his very own Robin Hood.

I really liked this other reality. When Jacob was telling Gerard about his life in our real world, and about being a closeted gay man, he had to explain the concept to Gerard. Gerard couldn’t understand the world Jacob had come from. To live in a world where your sexuality or orientation was nothing more spectacular than the sun rising every day, well, that seems like a right fantasy, a civilized country that uses horses for transport and has running water and equal rights. I want to know where to sign up! What museum is that painting in, again?

Review: A nice short story All Mine follows Theodore and Nicholas. Well mostly Nicholas’ desperate attempts to convince Theodore that they are meant to be together.

Quite a funny read actually, in the middle of a kingdom where the men of the story remind us of Robin Hood, and sorceresses curse handsome young men out of spite, curses that only true love can break.

I liked it, a lot. Theodore has to overcome his fear, after all he has lost love twice, and now an arrogant, gorgeous young man tells him he will fall in love with him. Theodore tries to make sense of the situation and feels once again as if he has no choice in his life. Like everything is slipping out of his control. But, truth is, Nicholas is irresistible and as much as he tries Theodore cannot escape fate…or love.

So, if you love a nice fairytale, with lots of love and a bit of romance this is a nice quick read for you.
