Blurb: Arri had been abused and picked on all his life. Born a runt, and then maturing into an omega, he was cast out of his pack. Figuring he’d not find another pack willing to take him in, he struggled to make a life for himself in the human world.

If he didn’t have bad luck, he had no luck at all. Jobs were hard to come by, and he wasn’t able to keep them for long, his omega empathy causing humiliating meltdowns.

He’d been robbed, mugged, and nearly raped too many times to count. Arri’s wolf was fundamentally broken, with no way to emerge, or protect him, finally withdrawing deep within him and remaining silent.

Then, a day came when things changed. Answering yet another employment ad, he was stunned to find the source of the advertisement was a beta wolf, then was shocked further when he was presented before the alpha of the Woodlynn pack. He’d heard rumors about this pack, the alpha considered one of the strongest on the continent.
He believed the rumors after meeting the large male.

Arri’s silent wolf had awakened, whispering to him, calling the alpha, mate, which was ridiculous. Alphas didn’t mate with lowly omegas. Especially male omegas, even though Arri was perfectly capable of giving an alpha pups, or so he’d been told by the old ex-beta he’d befriended. But then again, male omegas were rare, and thought little of, viewed as weak, considered unnatural. So, he would ignore his wolf, do his job, and keep his head down, not causing Alpha Dryden any cause to fire him.

*~*~*~*

Dryden knew there was something different about the assistant his beta, Vann, had brought to him. He was human, yet he smelled of wolf. But not a scent Dryden had ever experienced before. Vann hadn’t seemed to notice, though Dryden suspected his beta was still angry at Dryden insisting on a human assistant.

How could he tell his beta he’d felt an uneasiness in his pack, a danger that he couldn’t put his finger on, and didn’t want to trust any pack-mates to handle his affairs?

As time passed, his instincts that something was wrong within his pack grew, along with the certainty that Arri was not what he seemed.

It was when Dryden was visiting another pack, tremulous negotiations for an alliance in the works, and Arri was attacked, that the truth came out. Dryden’s assistant was an omega wolf. And not just any omega, but a Fae Omega, which would be the reason Dryden hadn’t known.

Omega wolves were rare, and most packs banished them for their weaknesses. But a Fae Omega was unheard of, most believing them myths. The Fae had died out a long time ago, and for an omega wolf to be born with Fae blood was incredible.

But that wasn’t Dryden’s biggest problem. The moment Arri had shifted, Dryden’s wolf went into the blood-mate fever, the need to claim the omega the only thing he was capable of thinking about.

But to claim Arri, Dryden would have to fight the alpha of Arri’s home pack, and he wasn’t sure he could win. And, then there was the unknown threat within his own pack that he still needed to figure out.

Review: The first thing I am going to say is, that the length of the blurb was crazy. After reading it, I pretty much knew what it was totally about. Then there is the problems that the book had with certain words misused and simple errors that should have been caught in beta read.

Arri has had a rough life, hell that is being nice about it. Abused from not only his parents but pack mates. His alpha does not a damn thing with it, until he shifts for the first time. The alpha banished the omega male wolf. Wolves need pack, but Arri has no clue what to do. Then he applied for a position that he knew he could do, and it leads him straight into another pack. A pack where the alpha is his mate.

Dryden doesn’t have a clue that his new assistant is a wolf shifter let alone his mate, until the sexy man shifts in front of him. Then he realizes that his little mate is an omega. There are many dangers out there, and one of them is close to home.

Ok, I had several issues with this book. The major one was when the beta has to sleep with Arri to produce milk. I am sorry but that was totally not needed in the book and was quite stupid. It is cheating even if the other parties are ok with it. I know it was to help, but still in my mind it is the same thing. Brought the story down quite a bit. The guilt the beta had was not needed also. I was actually liking the story till I got to that part. What a shame to add something that was not needed into a story.

Other than that it had issues that were so simple I could not believe, the author, the beta and the editor missed them so easily. There was no guess work with the story, you knew what was going to happen before it happened. There was no shock, no surprise, no guesswork involved in it. Plus you make a omega look extremely weak, then give him so awesome powers just didn’t work for me. How did the old pack not know any of this is beyond me. Then there is the fact that they screwed anything that walked, had kids out of matings and then threw in a mate or two. Just unbelievable to even look at. Plus the omega isn’t just an omega, he is a fae omega and then that is all there is. That was not needed at all either, unless the author was to explain just a bit more about them.

I am sorry but this story was just off. Now I am not saying this is a bad story, because lets face it, I did enjoy the story quite a bit. It has great potential but it needs to be re-worked on and then re-released a second time. There were parts I really liked and others that I didn’t. I do hope that the next book has been better thought out and written with more ease. And please, less is needed on the blurb.

Review: Francis saves the day!! Dorran and Eli are having a few troubles in their relationship, but the love is going strong. Eli doesn’t want to bring Dorran over to is place and Dorran is trying to figure out what he is hiding from him. Secrets never go the way you want to, but wait till you find out what he is hiding. Trust me you will laugh your ass off. When Chris calls and tells Dorran that he is in big trouble, as in murder, well you can guess Dorran runs to help. Of course you can guess who tags along. Francis saves the day!! I will let you figure out that part.

I will say that I pretty much knew who the killer was, even without Francis’ help. However as always it was a pretty amazing story. It caught my attention and had me sitting on the edge of my seat the whole entire time. I absolutely love Francis, as you can probably guess. Ghost just keep me smiling. Now for a bit there I was ready to deck Eli, but once I found his secret, I basically called him a old softy. This story gives you action, danger and some fun hot sexy times with a bit of touchy feely from a ghost. I wonder if he does watch them when they are getting good.

I had a blast reading this and can not wait to get my hands on the next book. This is one of those books that will be read more than once. And I can guarantee that you will be enchanted also. I would definitely recommend it.

Review: While I’m not familiar with the work of LA Merrill, and I find the States of Love line/series a bit hit or miss, I was drawn to the blurb of this book. It looked fun and sexy, which turned out to be true and so much more.

David Marks arrives at the Montana ranch where he has booked to use the new accommodations up for rent to help make ends meet. He and friends are also trying to film a web series on a shoe string budget which was entirely crowd funded. It’s a tall order and there are so many ways to fail. One of which could be getting off on the wrong foot with the ranch owner is probably one of those ways to screw things up.

Michael Carver is a man with a dark past. At the age of six, forty years earlier, he witnessed his father, the town sheriff, get murdered by the local crime family. Feeling powerless to stop anything and to do anything as the years go by, the only thing he had so far been able to do was write a crime fiction based heavily on those events. Of course, he is also avoiding admitting to one of the hardest truths which questions just how good was his dad. Michael has lived a lonely life, he kept things together while his mother was alive but now she also gone he believes it better off if he sees as few people as possible. He has one friend, a lesbian with memory issues (her story is also explained in the book).

Michael was surly when he first met David and his friends but he makes up for being a less than accommodating host by helping the rag tag filmmakers get their web series together. It also happens that there is some wicked chemistry between Michael and David. However, the trouble from Michael’s past means that there is more trouble on the horizion than a web series with a bad script.

This is a fun and strangely action packed novella. You’ll need to suspend your disbelief for a little but if you like a bit of danger, that Hollywood/Indie magic, a bit of crime and suspense, you might well enjoy this book as well.

Review: What is a meddling ghost to do. Raphael has everything he could want, or so he thinks. He is from a wealthy family and is pretty much the normal rich boy. He also is involved in the history. Now here he is bidding on an item he doesn’t want, just because Marc does.

Marc is the curator and was sent to bid on one item. One item that Raphael wins. Then he is basically summoned to the Prince’s home to do a bit of work. However it is obviously there is a bit more to it. Marc is just as interested in the Prince as the Prince is with him.

I am a big fan of Christmas stories but not so much of royalty type families. The story gives you a very slow burning romance with some magic thrown in. It has some pretty sweet romantic scenes and lets face it the ghost/angel wins the book. Fairy tales with magic added in are sweet and tender.

Now for the downside. The characters were quite adorable, but I didn’t care for Raphael. It wasn’t until the ending or close to the ending that I started to actually like the man. Marc was a bit easier to fall for. However the slow burn romance was too slow for me. I am more for fast pace stories and this just doesn’t give me that. However that is my problem. It felt like the story just seemed to jump parts that didn’t make the story move as fast as I would have liked. I really think the ghost or angel that leads them to each other was a bit more fun then the guys. Overall I wished the story moved a bit faster and had a bit more depth to it. The ending felt a bit rushed but it was expected for the story type.

Overall I did enjoy the story with a cup of hot chocolate. It was a nice read for a cold day and makes for a wonderful Christmas surprises.

Review: I am really at mixed feelings with this story. I will admit that I have never been a fan of historicals. It sounded really interesting, but to me it would have made for a better story if the female had been left out of it.

Tom is a lieutenant for the navy and is about to find himself at odds. In the time where being gay is a crime itself, he finds love with another man. During a war, love is what holds them together. When captured, love is what keeps him whole. It was a way for his escape. He meets a man that holds his heart but things will tear them apart. For Christopher is to marry another.

Christopher meets and falls in love with Tom, but his family has him already set to marry a nice young lady. Christopher is the captain of the Perilous, where as Tom is second in command. Now with this story it is basically told in three different parts, which for me didn’t really do it any justice. Tom is a sweet bit of sunrise and quite quirky to say the least. Christopher is like a captain should be well except for the part that is hidden.

It is a very action pact story that will tear you apart. There is war, torture, and some nasty surprises. It has explosions, cannons going off, some pretty cool sword fighting and even death, but their love holds true to the end. I still hated the cheating and yes I call it cheating. Don’t much care for the time period, but you fall in love, you stay true no matter what. The story made it seem like a meet, greet, in bed and boom. Which didn’t do the story any good, made it feel just a bit off. Although it did give you a happy ending which for me Tom needed the most.

I hate to also admit that I skimmed over parts of the story, even though the love part was fast pace, this story just felt too damn slow. For a novella, it should have felt just a bit faster. It is however a smooth story with lots of depth to it. The characters are well rounded and the heat that comes from them is off the charts.

Another part was the female’s reaction to the fact that both Tom and Christopher loved each other. She was gracious and just wanted to know if her soon to be husband could love her, and Tom gave her what she wanted to hear. So even though I can’t stand adding something like this in, it was done with taste. However I am still afraid that it made the story drop for me. I still think it is cheating when with one person but love another.

So overall the story is very good and will keep your attention, it did not mine. I am afraid that no matter how well it was or how well it was written, the story just wasn’t for me.

Review: An interesting story about a man, Nathan, struggling after a break up and feels alone and depressed. When the depression becomes too much he walks into the water where he meets Brume.

Brume has spent his time in the water helping humans when they decide life is not worth living anymore. I found Brume fascinating in his approach of Nathan and what he does. While it did not surprise me that two fell for each other it did surprise me that it seemed a little fast.

Other than that I loved the story.

Great read.

Review: Each book in the Carlisle Cop’s collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Andrew Grey is one of the first male writers that I have not only read, but knew that I would continue to read.  In fact this series was the first one I had read that caught my attention and I knew I wanted to read them all.  They are entertaining and have the best tone for the story.  It caught my attention from the start and kept it all the way to the end.  This is one of those books that make me forget what I am doing other than reading.

Robin was kicked out of his home when he confessed that he was gay.  His mother just had not stuck up with him, when his step-father demanded him to leave.  Then he lost his job and was about to lose his room.  He tried to do the one thing that could guarantee his money, too bad he was just not the type to do it.

Dwayne saves Robin from a beating, and then finds out that the poor kid is now the victim of a rent scam.  The guy just couldn’t get any luck going.  So Dwayne knows he must step in and help.  I won’t tell you anymore, because you really need to read this book.  There is a big old twist that will shock the crap out of you.

I had a lot of fun reading this and cannot wait for the next book to come out.  I had to go back and read the previous books to this series just for fun.  The characters are so fully developed that it will fill like you know them, and the action is packed full.  I would definitely recommend this book.

Review: I love this authors work, and she didn’t disappoint in this story. Hagen and Mitch were high school sweethearts and lovers. Majority of the people in Benson love that they were both out and proud as you can be as teenagers. Since Mitch was a year older, he left for college sooner, while they planned for Hagen to join him a year later. But things didn’t turn out that way. While away at college, Mitch ended things with Hagen and he went and joined the Army just to get away from the town and the devastation that Mitch leaving caused.

Hagen has returned home from the Army to start rebuilding his life, and live on his terms. He was a prisoner of war and he was badly injured during his capture. He runs his own Construction business and he loves making his customers happy. Now in a town as small as Benson, everywhere he goes, he hears that Mitch is back home. Years ago, just the mention of Mitch’s name would cause his heart rate to race, but that’s not the case this time. Hagen is involved with someone and he has no inclination to get back together with Mitch after he left him and broke his heart. A chance encounter happens and Hagen saves Mitch’ two boys from a bad situation. Mitch is grateful and then professes that he still loves Hagen and that he wants him back in his life.

Mitch regrets that he ended things with Hagen years ago, but not sorry that he has two amazing boys from his marriage. He keeps pursuing Hagen, but Hagen doesn’t think that he can ever trust Mitch again, and if he came back to get him, how is it that he hasn’t approach Hagen and the only reason that they saw each other is because Hagen saved his sons. This second chance love story is great, but I’m sorry that I didn’t get to hear the reason that Mitch broke up with Hagen when he went off to college.

I love this author’s work and I would recommend it to anyone.

Review: Each book in the Mary’s Boys collection features a new romantic couple. To enjoy the overall story arc and crossover characters, I would recommend reading the series in sequential order.

Ariel is a sweet and sexy little merman who is in drag.  She works at the Hamburger Mary’s and loves his work.  Her real name is Zachary and he owns a really nice bookstore that once belonged to his parents.  He has a pretty good life, but he is missing something.  When Zach is attacked in a hate crime, he meets the one that makes his heart beat fast.

Teegan is a damn good doctor who is getting sick of the attacks on gays.  He has the best support system one could ask for, his ex-wife and daughter.  When Zach is brought in, he knows this man is for him.

This is a pretty damn good book and I have missed reading this series.  So when I saw this one, I had to go back and read the first two, well again.  It is very entertaining and is told in both serious and humorous tones.  I love ManDonna, she cracks me up but she takes care of her family, and Zach is family.  The whole group just stands up and helps Zach all the way around.

I had a lot of fun reading this and would definitely recommend it.  I can’t wait for the next book to come out.

Review: A grief stricken Pharoah angers a god and pays for it. Seti, lost in his grief of the one he loved being murdered denounces Setehk. Setehk has him tortured, mummified and entombed for five thousand years. Logan accidentally breaks the seal freeing Seti.

I cannot imagine a God being after me let alone someone wanting to kill me for the secret to immortality. Yet that is what happened to Logan and Seti. Danger, action, mystery, suspense and hair raising situations follow these two as they struggle to make sense of the why.

The two things that bothered me throughout the entire book is that 1. Seti never explained what exactly happened to him after he angered the god even though he told Logan he would. 2. What exactly happed to Seti’s lover. Those two details were sticking points for me as I waited patiently for explanations that never came.

Blurb: Welcome to Dim Sum Asylum: a San Francisco where it’s a ho-hum kind of case when a cop has to chase down an enchanted two-foot-tall shrine god statue with an impressive Fu Manchu mustache that’s running around Chinatown, trolling sex magic and chaos in its wake.

Senior Inspector Roku MacCormick of the Chinatown Arcane Crimes Division faces a pile of challenges far beyond his human-faerie heritage, snarling dragons guarding C-Town’s multiple gates, and exploding noodle factories. After a case goes sideways, Roku is saddled with Trent Leonard, a new partner he can’t trust, to add to the crime syndicate family he doesn’t want and a spell-casting serial killer he desperately needs to find.

While Roku would rather stay home with Bob the Cat and whiskey himself to sleep, he puts on his badge and gun every day, determined to serve and protect the city he loves. When Chinatown’s dark mystical underworld makes his life hell and the case turns deadly, Trent guards Roku’s back and, if Trent can be believed, his heart… even if from what Roku can see, Trent is as dangerous as the monsters and criminals they’re sworn to bring down.

Review: I really enjoyed this story about Trent, a mysterious man who is Raku’s new partner at the division. Raku is cynical but it is to be expected after all that has happened in his past. I loved the chemistry between the two and was even gladder that the romance was not front and center as is the case with most books.

The plot was amazing, the details edge of your seat worthy and the investigation, great. I was immersed in this aspect as I traversed along with Trent and Raku. There were hair raising scenes as the story progressed.

I think this is the second or third book I have read by this author and was not disappointed in the least. If you like mystery and suspense with urban fantasy then this book is for you.

Great read.

Ken doesn’t have a choice: his student summer job is manning the CCTV screens for the new central London shopping mall. Review: Ken sits back and watches the camera wishing for some action.  Something to help him get through each day at work.  Well he gets more then he bargains for, when a sexy waiter keeps putting on a show for him.

This is a cute little story that makes for a nice hot read.  However for me, it is just a very short story that gives just a taste of what could be.  In a way it is a slow telling story, but for this story it could also be said to be fast paced.  I am afraid that for me, it just seemed to be too slow. The name of the book is actually right on and makes it funny as hell.  I enjoyed reading it, but wished it was a longer book with a bit more to it.  Other than my issues it is well told, pretty detailed and is a pretty good story.

I would recommend it to those who love a long time love story that neither party knew they had.  I will let you figure that one out on your own.

Blurb: Trapped in darkness, can an escort find a man to help him into the light?

Gabriel Reyes never gave in. He fought and was hurt, was abused but escaped with his life. He made his way in the world using the one thing he was good at: sex. He earned a place with a man who controls everything but Gabriel is safe; he’s made it.

Cameron Stafford hires Gabriel for a night, needing nothing more than a pretend boyfriend to get his dysfunctional family off his back. With the money he has in the bank and his own hotel, why won’t they just leave him alone? It doesn’t matter that a degenerative disease has stolen his vision, or that his last boyfriend was a bastard who tried to steal from him; for now he has purpose.

When Gabriel and Cam fall for each other, can they find real happiness and, maybe, a forever that will save them both?

A new story set in the world of Jack and Riley Campbell-Hayes and the Double D Ranch, Texas.

Review: Cameron is nearly blind and while he can manage his life just fine, his family have a different opinion and are forever plaguing him with their thoughtless comments and trying to manage his life. When he decides he needs a date to his half-brother and half-sister’s engagement party he decides to hire an escort to help him out.

Gabriel accepts the life he has as the best that he can get and thinks that being controlled and beaten is all he can get. With his past still haunting him he can’t accept the help that he’s offered from Legacy Ranch turning his back on it and staying with an abusive, controlling asshole. When he’s approached by a man in a life with an escort offer he begrudgingly accepts and it leads him to finding acceptance and hope for the future.

This story is an amazing addition to the Legacy series. We are introduced to Gabriel who was one of the poor men who were systematically abused at Bar Five Ranch; Gabriel is now living as an escort under the thumb of the thoroughly controlling and nasty Stefan. His situation is much more dire than he leads himself to believe, but you can understand why he’s terrified of rocking the boat.

Cameron is such a lovely character; he’s losing his sight but is determined to live his life his way without interference from his family. When he resorts to hiring Gabriel he discovers a young man who he feels a connection to and he’s determined not to let Gabriel push him away.

Both Gabriel and Cam are excellent characters, we watch as they get to know each other and both become more to each other as their strange relationship progresses. Gabriel opens Cam’s eyes to something going on within his own family and Cam supports Gabriel as Gabriel finally accepts the help he desperately needs.

I really enjoyed this story, we are given a treat as we follow Gabriel and Cam’s story because not only do we get their building love but we also see into some troubles in Cam’s life which adds to the overall story. R.J. Scott has yet again created a wonderful love story that emerges from tragic circumstances. There are some harrowing moments for Gabriel that can cause triggers to readers affected by sexual and physical abuse but those moments are important to the story.

I recommend this to those who love damaged characters who emerge from the ashes to rebuild their lives, who love men who are determined to hold onto love, who love a dash of trouble that is firmly smoothed over, and who love having their hearts filled with love as they read the last pages.

Review: I was given a chance to not only read this story but to listen to the audio of it. I have to say it is a slow paced romance that will have you wanting to smack the guys before the end of it.

Sasha is a quirky young man who dreams to work for the best. Given a chance at it, he comes to the conclusion that his boss is the best. However after a run in with her brother Harrison, he decides he would rather work for Joanne. Harrison is just an ass, who is actually hiding who he really is. I loved the pull that these two had, but Harrison was a total ass to him through most of it. Degrading, calling him names and just being down right hateful to the man. He was hiding the fact that he was falling in love with Sasha.

Forced to work together brings them closer, only to have Harrison say something horrible once more and wham we go back to the beginning. Joanne’s part in this makes me realize why I don’t care for idiot females in books. She is a manipulative little bitch who is just down right selfish, although she is just trying to get the guys together.

The story didn’t flow right for me and I found that the characters just didn’t stand out to me. Sasha is weak, whereas Harrison had no real meaning in his actions. Mateo was a hit with me though.

I did like the direction the story was heading just not the story itself. I found it to be a bit over used and dull. Even though I didn’t much care for this story I look forward to what other books this author has out.

Blurb: When struggling novelist Chris Valentine meets Jesse Donovan, he’s interested in a book contract, or possibly a date. The last thing Chris expects is a marriage proposal from New York City’s most eligible bachelor!

Jesse’s in a pinch. To keep control of his company, he has to marry. So he has valid reasons for offering Chris this business deal: in exchange for living in a gorgeous mansion for a year, playing the doting husband, Chris gets all the writing time he wants and walks away with a million-dollar payoff. Surely Chris can handle that. He can handle living with the most handsome and endearing man he’s ever met, a man he immediately knows he wants in the worst way and can’t have. Or can he?

Review: John Solo has become one of my favorite narrators and I was so glad to have to gotten to hear him tell this story. The way he can give each character a distinctive voice is what makes it even better. I love the way he paces everything and makes the book more enjoyable.

The way that these two meet was quite delicious. Chris is a novelist who has a chance at giving some great stories. He just needs to be given a chance. He is writing on the side as he works as a barista in New York, which let’s just say it, it is one expensive place to be. He knew there was someone in the crowd from the publishing company but he had not expected Jesse.

Jesse is a billionaire who had just lost his father. His father had this quirky idea to see Jesse happy so one of the clauses in his will was for Jesse to marry. Find one that he loves and makes a happy marriage. However Jesse just chooses Chris and decides that is fine. He just had not expected to slowly start falling in love. Now he just needs to convince Chris. The problem is Chris doesn’t want marriage.

Shira has given a completely new look at being Cinderella that is for sure. I enjoyed this story and look forward to seeing what other stories she has out there. She gave us a very believable story with a touch of magic in it. I loved the little twist that was included and I hate to say it I absolutely loved the stepmother. The secrets could have been done different but other than that it rocked. I loved it and would definitely recommend it.

Blurb: Misaki “Aki” Itou is a psi – a person with mutated DNA granting him psychic abilities. He’s also a contracted companion – a whore. As head of Missing Persons, he’s good at finding people, but after the plague mutated his DNA, he has a hard time letting anyone see the monster inside. Review: An alternative reality, where society has gone through World War II and the US is divided into North and South, with scientists experimenting on human DNA to create clones, and super soldiers, concentration camps, and many societal horrors are the backdrop for an unusual romance.

Each character is fascinating in a way only sci-fi can make them. Aki feels safe in his home, The Hidden Gem, working as a high end prostitute/companion. Sure beats living on the streets, starving, abused and rejected without much of a glimmer in his memory of his true past. Not only does he now live a plush, protected life, as a companion Aki is limited to oral sex and hand jobs because he can’t touch or be touched without a barrier due to his sci ability. But that’s also something he desperately craves, the companionable touch of a lover, Shane in particular.

There are so many characters, and each one piques my curiosity, especially Paris, but I think that’s a whole new book. Candy is one of my favorites, because each MC needs a bestie. The different characters including the owners of the Hidden Gem, and the investigators, and people from Aki’s past all have so much more to mine…lots of back story and so much possibility. I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface of the support characters.

On top of Aki’s drive to control his mutant abilities, he has to confront and understand his past, so that he no longer needs to live in fear of the future….one he hopes can involve a certain strong, sexy Irish detective.

The narration is really good, sometimes the distinctions feel over the top, but it makes each character very clear and I love that. The sexual content is hot, right up until…..well. I’ll save that surprise. I can’t really tell a lot more about this book without dropping so many spoilers.

If you love a little mystery, action, and science fiction with your MM romance, you’ll love Hidden Gem!

Review: A fun ride, a terrible ex, and a man searching for what went wrong. I love that Adrian was willing to take a chance after his whiny ex trampled all over him! A fun read, full of steamy scenes, action and even a bit of mystery. Fun twists and turns throughout!

At first I thought Power Bottom was going to be about kink, but really it’s about soul searching with a bit of comedy and adventure thrown in to the  steamy scenes. This story has so much going on you don’t expect the curves and plot twists until they hit and throw you!

Adrian and Wyatt have great chemistry, and their story develops in quirky and interesting ways. I really enjoyed the action scenes, and when you get to it you’ll understand, but the dog lover in me was shouting at my speakers when I thought tragedy struck out one of my favorite furry characters. The somewhat predictable mystery and action combine to keep this story moving swiftly, not a moment of down time which I like.

The narration is great, keeps you on your toes, very distinct character voices, and the steamy scenes are very well done.

A great entertaining read!

Brent’s unfailing friendship and support convince Navashen he’s the one, but can he capture Brent’s heart when the matchmaker is focused on finding Navashen another man?

Reviewer: Gigi

Review: Slow and sweet! Filled with moments that stress how very important family, career and friendship is. A Matchless Man takes a nice slow stroll with Navashen through the transition from wrapping up a long medical education to relocating back home to the family and community of his youth to settle into his career, rejoin his family, help his brother bloom, and hopefully start lasting relationship of his own.

There is a lengthy bit about what it’s like to buy a house, and the whole real estate bit gets long even though Navi has his eye on Brent, his realtor, long-time friend, match-maker and crush. Maybe I’m alone in this, but there is nothing sexy about moving and finding a house, it’s actually very stressful, but Brent makes the move as smooth as possible.

There is a significant amount of time spent on family, what it’s like to be the son of immigrant parents, and what it’s like to raise and live with a brother with disabilities. IT’s very heart-warming and sweet, a kind, mellow read.

A long slow burn from realtor, to friend, to matchmaker and finally can romance blossom here???? If a spark does unite can it last? You’ll have to listen and find out!

The narrator does a good job making the story flow smoothly, though he makes Brent sound a lot like a slick salesman…it’s odd.

It would have claimed his life when he was deemed unworthy of precious resources and left in the sun to die, had not a strange man named Kristoff ridden in on the wind and told Rowen he had power.

Rowen works hard to become a Storm Lord, one of a secret magical group that brings storms to break the heat waves overtaking their world. But Rowen is starting his training at a disadvantage since he cannot speak and is much older than the other novices. The desire to please Kristoff inspires him to persevere even more than the threat of being sent back to his village to die should he fail. Still, he cannot gather rain, and when his abilities manifest, they are unlike anything known to the Storm Lords. Unless Kristoff can help him control his deadly powers, the entire world will be in danger.

Review: Rowen is a sweet man that has had a hard life. The village he lives in a tiny villaged plagued by severe heat spells that kill. One day he is to be sacrificed as a way to end the spell. Kristoff is a Storm Lord with the ability to disperse heat spells. He comes upon Rowan badly burned and on the brink of death. He senses something within the young man and so takes him with him.

I am not even going to pretend that I understood the explanations on certain things pertaining the lords. Though the story was good I felt it was to drawn out. At times I felt as though I was back in school learning.

I hated the way people treated Rowan because he could speak. It seemed people in this story were barbaric to a degree that I did not approve of. I was glad Kristoff stood up for Rowan against those that would do him harm because they felt threatened by what he could do.

It was an o.k. read.
