Review: Fire of the Heart is book 3 in this series. You do not have to read this in order as the town is the connection that makes this a series. There is mention of the previous characters but not enough to throw off the flow of this story.

Craig is the Fire Chief with a secret. No one knows he is gay except his ex-girlfriend Shawna, the owner of Craft Time. As soon as he sees the cute new guy in town he knows he is in trouble.

Melrose is sweet, and he is keeping his past a secret, not wanting people to know he was abused…by a smaller man.  When Bas shows up and hits him in the face, he tells the police a white lie that escalates.

Fire of the Heart is a sweet little romance with healing and coming out. It is a fast and fun read if you’re looking for something to lighten your day and lift your spirits.  I am curious as to who the next story will be about since there are so many characters.

I did find the story a bit skippy in places, and it was a bit jarring when it went from Melrose to Craig, but I loved the storyline, characters, and plots.

If you like hunky firefighters, cute waiters, a sweet romance with some hot man-sex, this is for you:

Review: Heart on the Run is a very fun romance. I love Lee Brazil and Haven Fellows. Though most of their stories are short, I liked that this was longer. There are a lot of awesome characters in this story, and the setting is a big part of the story as well. I loved the quaint town and how everyone knows everyone. I wish these towns existed.

This is book two in Hearts of Parkerburg. It stands alone fine as the people in town are what the series is about. If you read the first book, you will know the other characters and stuff mentioned and its good as well.

Back to this one. I adored Chaz. He is sweet and has a goal for his life. Even though he is from a wealthy family and doesn’t have to work, he went to culinary school, and his dream is to have a restaurant of his home someday. He often thought about what his mom might say in many circumstances, and this was in italics, so it was clear it was thought, but I am not sure how I felt about it.

It wasn’t confusing the story or anything it was just that some of them were a bit odd for me. That’s a personal opinion. I will admit some did make me laugh.

Sprocket was a fun character. His description showed us how fun he would be. I did feel sorry for him and liked how he tried so hard to still be friends with Chaz after Chaz’s first run. Then there is Mason. I adored Mason. He is so funny, and I liked how he was so protective of Sprocket and there seemed to be more there at least on his side. (Hope the next book is his.)

The story is fast paced, and I didn’t want to put it down. It is heartwarming, fun and I was shocked by a couple twists. I will admit I thought it a predictable romance and was in for a big surprise! I can’t say more without a spoiler. I will say this is an excellent romance and fun book and a great holiday or anytime read!

If you like sexy tattooed men, hot chefs, best friends, hot romances with a twist, a holiday story and an allover fantastic read, this is for you! *points to buy links*

Review: Sabine and Bart have had a shaky past. Though they have been lovers for 10 years the past few months. Both men have done things that have made their friends upset with them.

I never really felt one way or the other towards Sabine but I did love Bart. This book redeems Sabine quite a bit an in such a short book there is a lot of action and plot and the story begins really to take shape. Plus there is a bit of humor thrown in when Laurant gives him a demon name to practice with.

If you like fast paced action, ghosts, demons and a little chuckle you will love this.

Reviewer: Donovan has recently had a promotion and is so busy he has no time to take care of his house and gardens. He decides to put out an ad. He isn’t having much luck when a sexy young man with a Mohawk a face full of piercings and the greenest eyes he has ever seen applies. Against his better judgement, he gives into the young man’s constant pleas.

Mischa and his brothers play truth or dare every week and this week he knows he is in for it. He is spoiled and has no responsibilities since he has a big trust fund, but his dare is to support himself one year without it.

This book is a lot of fun. It is light-hearted and introduces you to some intriguing characters. It’s a sweet May/December romance, and also a sort of opposites attract. I was very fond of Misha. The other characters and the Truth or Dare Game sets up for one heck of a fun series!

Keeping House one of those books you need when you want to wind down with something that makes you smile and takes your breath away. The sex is smoking!

If you like close brothers, May/ December romance, quirky main characters and some hot man-sex, this is definitely for you!

Review: This is the third book in this series and the 9th in the collection. You do need to read the series in order and it would help if you are reading the entire collection.

Sabine has been trying to prove the existence of ghosts. He found the remains of a body several years before and he and Bart have been lovers since. Recently though there is a darkness settling around Sabine and after four attempts on his life he knows what he must do.

Bart loves Sabine but senses there is a problem. He garners the help from all of his friends, Laurant a sex demon, Nico a hot older vampire, Jett a werewolf and Artie a physic to help him figure out what is wrong with Sabine.

This is a short story so I can’t say too much without giving it away. I love all the characters and I love the relationship between Sabine and Bart. I really like Bart even if he is a ghost I like that he was from so far ago and a riverboat gambler. There is so much emotion in this story and lots of action, suspense and it is hotter than hell (yes pun is attended).

If you like supernatural and paranormal characters, mystery, suspense, spells, and some hot man-sex you will love this!

Review: Syd has had a crush on max since he first saw him. He has been eating the same lunch at the same time and at Max’s station every day since. Max has noticed Syd but thinks the man is out of his league. They finally meet, go out and things begin to go downhill from there. Syd seems to have a jealous streak and Max doesn’t want to get caught up in a relationship like his mother and father had.

This is another beautifully written story. Lee has a way with words and descriptions that make everything seem romantic, even Syd and his stalkerish behavior. I have to say though I really liked both Syd and Maxwell. They each had their own faults and I like a story that the two involved have to work through their issues.

The only issue I had, was that all of a sudden the story seemed to end suddenly then skip to an epilogue two years down the line. I would have rather seen more of them working though the issues instead of a fast wrap up.

Review: This is book two of the In From the Cold series and part of a collaboration called Pulp Friction. The book does stand-alone ok, but to get the full impact and understand who all of the characters are it is best to read each series in order and the reading order of the Pulp Friction.

Cold Comfort picks up where Cold Snap left off with Finn still trying to figure out how to get through to Cannon. The story is full of emotion and has a bit of suspense tossed in. There is lots of sexual tension as Cannon tries to keep his distance from Finn but can’t resist the pull. Then a real twist was tossed in with Cannon’s interest in one of the new tenants, Park. I will say that but really shocked me, since I’ve been following Cannon since the years books. I still am not in love with Cannon but he is intriguing. Finn on the other hand is extremely sexy.

If you like college professors, men with secrets, hot sexy Norse God looking men, a little hot mansex and a surprising ending this is for you.

Review: Joseph Caldwell has undergone surgery. He did not wake up from a medically induced coma. The anesthesiologist Oliver Gideon refuses to give up hope that Joseph will come back as everyone else has seemed to have done.  He stays with him every chance he gets, talking to him, reading to him, anything to get him to respond, whether the nurses like him being there or not.

Joseph has found himself in the realm of dreams, some are true and some are not. Joseph has to find his path back to reality or choose to stay forever in the realm of dreams. In his dream he has found a soul mate and life is perfect, does he want to chance waking up to find this is just a dream?

This story is very different and intriguing. Though it begins six months after the fact, the backstory is dropped slowly, just enough to let us know what’s going on, and the two stories complement each other well. The realm of dreams is intriguing, I’m not sure I would want to wake up either. I did find in a couple of places, that some things from Ollie’s point of view were repeated in Joey’s point of view. The story was interesting in the fact that something beginning as guilt turned into something so much deeper and the patient did hear and feel what was going on around him. I have always believed that people in comas can hear and feel people around them. I was heartbroken that everyone gave up so quickly on Joseph and relieved that the anesthesiologist refused to let Joey go. This is a beautiful, yet gripping, love story and almost made me cry.

If you like 50’s songs, Drs., stories about dreams, and comas, love, faith, this is definitely for you!

Review: This year’s Pulp Fiction series is off to one heck of a great start. Just in case you don’t know what Pulp Friction is, I’ll fill you in. Its four authors, each with a stand a-lone series but the stories are all based in one particular area and the characters from each series sort-of interact.  At the end of the year, they have one big explosive finale to sum up all the stories. You don’t have to read them all but to get the best effect I recommend you do. I think this is a cool concept.

 

Cold snap is the first book of Lee Brazil’s series In From the Cold. It is the second in the Pulp Friction series. This cover is HOT!!! If you’ve never read Lee Brazil, you should.  He has a way with characters and can be sweet and sexy or sizzling.  I have to say Finn is one of those sizzling characters. Sexy, Norse God looks, a romantic and a knight-in-shining armour type. What more could you want? Well I think Finn may have a little secret I bet we find out for sure in the next book.  Cannon. I have to say I was a bit surprised with Cannon. He is from Lee’s series Chances Are and I have to say I did not like Cannon at all in that book.  I think I may actually get to like him here.

 

The story is interesting, and I found it a bit romantic. But then again I fell in love with Finn from the get go.

Review: This is the finale of a collaboration of four interactive series. I hope I worded that right. You really have had to have read at least some of these to understand what’s going on. It would be preferable if you have read all four series to really understand in full effect.  I have read both the Chances Are and Wicked Ways series through and a couple of the others. I loved how these authors collaborated and interacted each of the stories. 

In this explosive finale, we wrap up a mystery of who is killing gays and why. It’s has become very personal for each of these men. I found the mystery exciting and interesting as it bought out new emotions in some of these characters. 

Of course, there is sex. Good, hot, loving, mansex. Each of these authors has a style of their own bringing out the best in their characters and blending them with the rest. The Christmas scene at the end brought tears to my eyes.

I felt the finale wrapped all the series well, and left me with a warm fuzzy feeling. I cannot wait to see what is in store with the new upcoming collaborations.

If you like mystery, romance, family, and some hot mansex this is for you.

Review:Harold’s brother Perry charges Harold to keep a fugitive safe. Harold agrees reluctantly until he meets Martin. Feelings stir, reminding him of ‘experiments’ he and Andre conducted before he was sent home from his brother Nash’s.

This is yet another beautifully written work by a very talented storyteller. Poignantly written, a great story, interesting characters, a touch of intrigue and hot mansex, what more could you ask for?

Review: This book picks up where the last ended with Rory gone. It’s been two months and even Wick hasn’t been able to find him. Chance has realized that he loves Rory, but it’s a little late.

I love this series. I like the way each character blends in form the other books in this series by the other authors as well, though if you don’t read the other books you really don’t know too much about those characters. It’s about time Chance starts showing some feeling, though I like he isn’t a sappy character, though in this one he tends to be. I felt he became more human in this book. I can’t wait to see what Rory’s reaction is if and when Chance finds him.

I recommend this if you like, strong feelings, ex-cops, private detectives, a man finding his feelings, and some mystery.

After a tryst at a masquerade party, Randall finds himself intrigued by the man he thought was his lover, but found out, too late, was not.  He wants to see the mystery man again, but will he be able to handle the truth of who his mystery man is?

This was a beautifully written Regency romance full of hot sex, mystery intrigue and true love.   I loved this collaboration between two fantastic authors and can’t wait for the next one.  I thought the sex was graphic and hot, but well written into the mystery and intrigue. So well that it came off also loving and sensual. Very good story by two great Authors!

Recommendation: If you like Regency romance, mystery, intrigue, very hot graphic sex, Lee Brazil or Raven McAllen you won’t be disappointed.
