Review: Fire of the Heart is book 3 in this series. You do not have to read this in order as the town is the connection that makes this a series. There is mention of the previous characters but not enough to throw off the flow of this story.

Craig is the Fire Chief with a secret. No one knows he is gay except his ex-girlfriend Shawna, the owner of Craft Time. As soon as he sees the cute new guy in town he knows he is in trouble.

Melrose is sweet, and he is keeping his past a secret, not wanting people to know he was abused…by a smaller man.  When Bas shows up and hits him in the face, he tells the police a white lie that escalates.

Fire of the Heart is a sweet little romance with healing and coming out. It is a fast and fun read if you’re looking for something to lighten your day and lift your spirits.  I am curious as to who the next story will be about since there are so many characters.

I did find the story a bit skippy in places, and it was a bit jarring when it went from Melrose to Craig, but I loved the storyline, characters, and plots.

Review: Heart on the Run is a very fun romance. I love Lee Brazil and Haven Fellows. Though most of their stories are short, I liked that this was longer. There are a lot of awesome characters in this story, and the setting is a big part of the story as well. I loved the quaint town and how everyone knows everyone. I wish these towns existed.

This is book two in Hearts of Parkerburg. It stands alone fine as the people in town are what the series is about. If you read the first book, you will know the other characters and stuff mentioned and its good as well.

Back to this one. I adored Chaz. He is sweet and has a goal for his life. Even though he is from a wealthy family and doesn’t have to work, he went to culinary school, and his dream is to have a restaurant of his home someday. He often thought about what his mom might say in many circumstances, and this was in italics, so it was clear it was thought, but I am not sure how I felt about it.

It wasn’t confusing the story or anything it was just that some of them were a bit odd for me. That’s a personal opinion. I will admit some did make me laugh.

Sprocket was a fun character. His description showed us how fun he would be. I did feel sorry for him and liked how he tried so hard to still be friends with Chaz after Chaz’s first run. Then there is Mason. I adored Mason. He is so funny, and I liked how he was so protective of Sprocket and there seemed to be more there at least on his side. (Hope the next book is his.)

The story is fast paced, and I didn’t want to put it down. It is heartwarming, fun and I was shocked by a couple twists. I will admit I thought it a predictable romance and was in for a big surprise! I can’t say more without a spoiler. I will say this is an excellent romance and fun book and a great holiday or anytime read!

Review: This is part of a series and larger collection. You do need to read the series in order and it is best to read the collection.

At first I felt this wasn’t going to be as good as this series usually is since there was mostly a lot of dialogue and discussion between Gun and Laurant but it picked up quickly. I really love Laurant and am so curious to see who this mystery man Gunn is.

I will say the end was quite a shocker. Laurant is so charismatic even though he is a sex demon he also has a vulnerable side we begin to see and I simply adore his humor.

If you like vampires, Demons, sex demons, mystery and a preternatural story that is full of fun I highly recommend this series!

Review: This is book two of Havan’s series and they must be read in order. It also helps to read the others in this collection as well and I have listed them below my review.

Laurant’s father pays him a visit that he is being hunted by The Others and urges him to leave and go to his sisters. He is reluctant wanting to know more about Gun.

Gun wants to know more about himself as well. All he seems to know as he thought he was an investigator and all of a sudden supernatural beings he didn’t know existed are hunting humor helping him.

I like this story a lot. There is so much intrigue and mystery. Maybe too much. I found myself a bit confused at times as to who The Others were and I have read the first book.

I love Gun and how he is trying to find himself. I love Laurant with his humor and being an incubus how he uses a lot of sexual innuendos. Be prepared for a bit of a chuckle as well as nail-biting suspense.

If you like unusual supernatural beings, mystery, suspense, vampires and connected stories you will love this!

Review: Donnell and Jamie work in the same office. Jamie has had his eye on Donnell for a while and has his friend and co-worker put a bug in Donnell’s ear to set them up on a blind date.

The first date goes well, but Donnell feels something off in how much Jamie talks about his Mom.

This is a very good sweet romance. I thought it was very well done for such a short story. I like both characters a lot and I also liked Jamie’s mom. The sex is very hot. I thought I would die laughing at the twist near the end.

If you like short but sweet and sexy romance with some hot and spicy man-sex you will love this story.

Review: Can I have more hearts please? I LOOOOOVVVVVVED this book.

This is the third bonus book in the Pulp Friction 2014 collection. In case you don’t know what the pulp Friction Collection is, it is four authors that each has a series that sort of blends with the others. Each series is set in Mountain Shadows campgrounds in Flagstaff. Each series can be read alone, but works better if you read the entire collection in order for full impact. Each Author has included a bonus book this year also.

Haven’s Bonus brings us more Wick. In case you haven’t read any of last year’s Pulp Friction, you should read Wicked Ways. I absolutely loved this book, but I may be biased since I adored Wick so much.
Ned is going to Mountain shadows to check on a friend. Wick is tagging along on the pretext of watching Ned’s back but in a way he may be a bit jealous since Ned isn’t divulging anything. Al he is saying is that when Banyu checked on the Cannon situation for Chance he noticed a friend was there he needed to see about.

This story is full of action, and some hot sex, from the trip to Mountain shadows, to the very end. I love how it is almost like watching a movie the descriptions are so good.

If you like sarcastic, full of them self, sexy and dangerous men, burn the page man-sex, drama, suspense, and super-secret agents this book is for you.

Review: This is book 4 of the Whispering Winds series. The stories are all coming to a head now and this was so worth waiting for.
I absolutely loved the mystery that is Rowen and this story sheds a lot of lot on who he is.

In the bonus story Wicked Winds, Rowen’s cabin had been broken into and trashed. Wick was in that back finding something that pissed him off and sent him and Ned on their way. Rowen’s secrets had been revealed and he was a bit worried about how Mick would take things.

He doesn’t have long to worry since things get even worse.

There is lots of action and suspense, more of Rowen exposed and a shocking twist. Then just when I really thought things were going the way I wanted it and we were going to see Mick and Rowe go at it, a very what the F? ending. Now I can’t wait or the next book

If you like super-secret agents, lots of action and suspense, twists, and a surprise ending this is for you!

Review: This year’s Pulp Friction series is off to one heck of a great start. Just in case you don’t know, what Pulp Friction is I’ll fill you in. Its four authors, each with a stand a-lone series but the stories are all based in one particular area and the characters from each series sort-of interact.  At the end of the year, they have one big explosive finale to sum up all the stories. You don’t have to read them all but to get the best effect I recommend you do. I think this is a cool concept.

 

Blown away is the first book In Haven Fellow’s Series Whispering Winds.  I was blown away by it. (pardon the pun) Havan has a way with characters also and I am a big character driven story fan.  These two men Rowe and Mick are unique.  Especially Rowen. He is mysterious and you can tell in this story he has a secret past, or he is just very neurotic. Either way I found him intriguing.  And Mick, well he is the not give up, in your face type of guy.

 

I love how Haven introduces a little humour to break the tension. I loved how Mick called him monkey man. Why? You will have to read the book.  There is intrigue and tension. There isn’t any actual sex in this story but the sexual tension is there.

 

If you like, a good short, fun story with mystery, hot secretive men, persistent men, nature and an all-over good romance this is for you!

Review: This is the Fifth Book in this series.  They stand-alone well, but it’s good to read them all to know a bit of what is going on. In addition, if you read the blurb above, you definitely do not want Wick coming after you.

Wick is a cool character, sort of a cross between James Bond and Max from Get Smart. This story is full of action, romance and hot mansex.  I loved that we finally found out what makes Wick how he is and more about Ned.

I recommend this if you like action, secret agents, hit men, spies, great friends and of course hot Mansex.

Review:Wick gets himself put in jail to solve a case.
This is yet another good story in this series. I love Wick’s smart attitude and wit. I also like the hot romance between him and Ned, if you can call it a romance. But, I am rooting for it. I love the ways Wick goes about solving his cases, and love his new helper and all the James Bond-like devices. I can’t wait to see which man he was talking to at the end. 

If you like a good series with lots of twists and turns, private detectives, cool devices and some hot sex this is for you.

Review:It looks as if Wick has finally met his match…Or two. One of them is a twelve-year-old boy, on the run for his life. The other a sexy cop, of   some unknown kind, that won’t take no for an answer.

This is my favorite in this series so far, and I’ve loved them all. I love Kyle being a chip off the old block, even though he isn’t blood. And I also loved that it looks as if Ned made some progress on the personal front. I can’t get enough Wick.

I recommend this is if you like a fast paced short story, detectives,  smart mouth strong willed kids, and hot mansex.

Review:  Harlan Mychels has scarcely gotten over his first love, Ryder Halloway when he shows up on his door step begging for another chance.

It’s been 7 years since Ryder walked out of Harlan’s life. Now he shows up, out of the blue, begging for another chance. Harlan is anything but accepting of Rydes apology. What ensues is a comedy of errors as Ryde continually tries to prove his love to Harlan, while Harlan tries just as hard to remain standoffish. It’s pretty much useless from the start as Harlan’s mind, body and soul are still completely in love with Ryde; regardless of what he tells him.

“Foreplay” for this pairing consists of one being tied to the headboard, a broken bedside table and a decently disheveled bedroom! I liked the concept of the story. Ryder screwed up, he knows this, and he admits to it while begging for another chance. Harlan is still slightly jaded and is in no way going to forgive Ryde easily. The sexual tension jumped off the pages, but when they finally go at it, it was rushed. I would have liked a more involved and detailed sex scene for these two, they certainly earned it!

Overall it was a quick and sexy short read; I recommend to any M/M fans, you won’t be disappointed.

Review:  Wick is an ex-cop gone Private detective. He is hired by his ex to clear his name in a company scandal. He meets Ned Harris, a supposed employee at the company where his ex works. Why is Ned snooping around? Why is he following Wick? Is Ned the Mole? Does Wick want to get back together with his ex? I’m not telling you. You will have to read this one.

I loved this story! It was fast paced and kept me on the edge of my seat. Twists and turns abound. I can’t wait for the next in this series!

I highly recommend this one to anyone that likes a short, fast paced mystery with lots of suspense and a hint of hot man-sex.
