After losing his family’s station in Australia to the bank, Jacko Hennesy moves in with his best mate, Lochie McBride. Trouble is, Lochie already has a roommate—his new lover, Jamie. Trying to settle into everyday life with two men isn’t as easy as Jacko had hoped. Although he’s been in love with his best friend for years, Jacko also finds himself attracted to Jamie. Watching the constant flirting and touching every day is enough to reduce the tough bushman to a puddle of need. What’s a bloke to do when he falls for two sexy men?
Publisher’s Note: This book is a sequel to Harvest Heat and is best read in sequence. This book has previously been released elsewhere. It has been revised and re-edited for re-release with Pride Publishing.
Review: Sunshine, Sex & Sunflowers is the sequel to Harvest Heat by Carol Lynne. As the publisher recommends, you should read book one first. There isn’t a lot of character introduction or development in this book and I feel most of it actually happens in the first book. This book was published previously, however, I think I somehow missed it because I really don’t remember reading it before. Which seems a bit odd for me because I absolutely fell in love with the authors two big series, Campus Cravings and Cattle Valley and would actually look for her other releases.
The story continues the story of lovers Lochie and Jamie. They’ve recently fallen in love and have moved in together on Lochie’s farm. In fact, Jamie has moved to Australia from the States to be with his man. Now we’re adding Jacko into the mix. He’s recently fallen onto hard time and is living and working with his best mate, Lochie. Jacko has always been attracted to Lochie but he finds himself torn with now developing an attraction to Jamie as well. Lochie and Jamie are happy together and yet they see the possibility for a lot more love in their lives with Jacko.
I can’t go further because this is essentially the bones of the book and if I say anything else there’s no point in reading it. I think part of the reason I didn’t read this in the past was because there are so many books that are set in Australia that just don’t capture the true Aussie nature. I suppose that is true for others who read books set in their own country but written by an author who does not live there. For any Aussies, I recommend ignoring the stereotyping of farms and regional life because for me it did come across as a little silly at times.
This is a simple, quick read. If you want to just read something sexy without thinking too much, this is probably a good choice. Unfortunately, there isn’t a lot of character or plot depth, which is annoying because I like the author so much, but come (no pun intended) for the romance and stick around for the sex. That’s all I can say.
Blurb:Love blossoms in the heat and dust of the Outback.
Touring Australia before starting his life as a lawyer back in Kansas seemed like the perfect escape for James. A trip to the Mandarra Horticultural Show has him itching to work on an authentic Australian farm. What he doesn’t expect to find in the bush is a field of sunflowers and a man who makes him tremble with need.
Lachlan has resigned himself to living alone in the Australian bush. Since returning from Sydney to run the family property, he’s put his sexual desires on hold, knowing his mates would never understand. When he takes a chance and hires a good-looking young tourist to help him on the homestead, Lochie begins to wonder just how heated this year’s harvest will be. Will he be able to put his worries aside and take a chance on love?
Publisher’s Note: This book is a prequal to Sunshine, Sex & Sunflowers. This book has perviously been released elsewhere. It has been revised and re-edited for re-release with Pride Publishing.
Review: While I can say that this is not the first story that I’ve read from this author, I can say that it’s one of her best ones yet. I love her stories and will definitely be reading more of them. James’ father wants him to continue in his footsteps and become a Lawyer, but that’s just not James wants. He did everything that his dad wanted him to do, even attend Law school. From the time that he was small, and visited his grandfather on his farm. That’s what he wanted to do. Work with his hands in the soil.
James is in Australia visiting and he wants to experience as much of the beautiful country as he can, but he’s running low on funds and have to find someplace where he can find some cheap labor working on a farm for cash. He’s given a heads up about a farmer, but is told that he might or might not be hired. Lachlan is a farmer, who took over the family business when his dad died. He’s trying to make ends meet and knows that it will be another difficult time harvesting alone.
From their first meeting, Jamie and Lachlan don’t seem to have much in common other than their love of the land. But as they get to know each other, the attraction between them is strong, and the lust between them begins to grow both in and out of the bedroom. Lachlan however is in the closet and none of his friends knows that he is gay, and Jamie isn’t going back in for no-one. He’s proud of who he is. At a get together, with friends, Jamie is attacked and beaten very badly. Lachlan has to decide if he will lose the man he loves because of hateful men, or because of his stubbornness, and Jamie needs to figure things out and decide if he can commit his future to be with a man that isn’t willing to fight for what he wants.
This is a story that I would gladly recommend to anyone interested.
Blurb: For Eli Barron, Jesse Clooney has always been the one. From their first day of kindergarten through their high school graduation, the pair were inseparable.
So, when a situation arises that splits the two men apart, it’s up to Eli to keep the home fires burning as Jesse sets off to follow his dreams on the rodeo circuit.
But how long can a man continue to stoke the fire before the flames die out?
Review: I have read many books from this author and I love all of her books. Eli tells us his life story about his family and the Love of his life Jesse. They’ve both known each other and have been friends from kindergarten through High school and are now lovers. Jesse doesn’t have a good relationship with his family and decides that he wants to leave the town that they live in and go follow his dreams on the rodeo circuit and wants Eli to go with him.
Eli can’t go with Jesse as he has to take of the family ranch and his mom and siblings. I found that Jesse is very self-centered, he’s off living his dreams, and wants Eli to wait for him and doesn’t care that he’s breaking Eli’s heart. Eli decides that the time has come that he will either have to talk with Jesse about their relationship, that is if they still have one together, or let Jesse go so that he can live his life on the circuit.
As with all of this author’s books, I would gladly recommend this book to whoever wants a short story about partners that have to find the way back together.
Blurb: It was a Thursday. The day one eighteen-year-old gunman would change the lives of an entire town.
Principal Mark Kurtz loved his school. He worked hard to give his students every advantage in life, but he could have never predicted that on a warm day in May, a distraught senior would commit an unimaginable act of vengeance on his classmates.
In the aftermath of the shooting that left both students and faculty members dead, Mark must deal with his own guilt while trying to help those around him feel safe once again.
Mark’s problems are compounded when an old flame, Lane Warner, arrives in town to help treat the trauma victims. How can he possibly deal with his own guilt, be there for his seventeen-year-old son and confront the part of himself he’s always denied while trying to heal a broken community?
Review: This was a very powerful book about school shootings and the effects afterwards. From start to finish the story holds the reader in its grip as the story unfolds. I felt bad the shooter as it comes out he was bullied even though the school has a zero tolerance for that.
I didn’t understand why Mark held himself responsible for what happened considering he was dealing with life after a divorce and his son. I felt he shouldn’t have felt that way for the events. I really liked the whole story.
It’s riveting, powerful and emotional from the get go.
Blurb: Ian and Bull Westerfield have spent years loving each other in all the ways the law said they shouldn’t. When they come across a drifter looking for work, the brothers invite the stranger into their home, and eventually, to their bed.
Axel Bennett was looking for work, not a home. When an accident leaves him in the hands of the Westerfield brothers, they offer him both. Envious of the bond the brothers’ share, Axel agrees to stay the winter.
Their love will be put to the test—a piece of land or the safety of each other?
Review:The Westerfields of Chatham County by Carol Lynne, now in its second edition, is one of those books that are more so than others very much a “niche” type of story. I read the first edition of this book when it came out in 2012. However, I don’t think that there is a hell of a lot of difference between the two editions. I’m a massive fan of Carol Lynne and always look forward to her books.
The story follows the Westerfield brothers, Ian and Bull – there was a third brother but he had been murdered some years before. The Westerfield family has been long ostracized, and now the only two family members left, Ian and Bull are being bullied out of town for being an “unnatural family”. After a short scuffle in town, the brothers pick up Axel, a stranger who is hiking on the side of the road during a storm.
The story itself is interesting and could be a lot longer so as to explore a couple significant issues that that is brought up only too briefly. Of course, the taboo part of this book is that Ian and Bull are not only brothers but they are sexual partners who love each other after being brought in a family tradition of abuse (this is what I feel could have been expanded upon and made the book a lot better).
However, if you don’t mind reading about brothers having sex, that’s fine – the only problem I had was that I didn’t really feel the spark of passion between them. The sex scenes, even those with Axel, are a tad boring and again that essential spark was lacking for me. I liked all three characters and they meshed well together, there just wasn’t enough development of the plot or the characters.
The first hurdle to get past is if you want to read a book that highlights an incestuous relationship – since they can’t have kids it’s probably easier to accept. After that everything is what you would expect in a homophobic community with hot cowboys.

Title: Fate’s Bridge Series: N/A Author: Carol Lynne Genre: Contemporary/Erotic Romance/ Ménage and Multiple Partners/ Paranormal/ Vampires Length: 52 pages Publisher: Pride Publishing (December 22, 2015) Heat Level: Moderate Heart Rating: ♥♥♥3 Hearts Blurb: Is it possible for a soul to be reborn inside another?
What would you do if you discovered someone harboring a soul you recognized as one from a deceased loved one? For vampire Roman Gschwind, the scenario becomes a reality when he meets Bodi Rain.
Unfortunately, it soon becomes clear that Roman must share Bodi with another vampire if he has any chance of rekindling the love that he’d lost so long ago.
Publisher’s Note: This book was previously published as part of the Unconventional in San Diego anthology by Pride Publishing.
Review: This book sounded so good when I read the blurb and it most certainly would have been if there had been less sex and more story.
Roman lost Brodi many years earlier. Brodi is finally reincarnated in another body but sustains a life-threatening injury but Roman won’t change him due to a promise. He gets Alexi to do it and as result Brodi and Alexi form a sexual bond.
I really felt bad for Roman. As it seemed Brodi was taken from him once only for him to get him back and have to share him with another.
It was an o.k. read with a lot of hot sex.

Title: Twin Temptations, 2nd edition Series: Good-Time Cowboys 04 Author: Carol Lynne Genre: MMF/Cowboy/Taboo (Twincest) Length: Novella (117 pages) Publisher: Pride Publishing (July 28th 2015) Heat Level: Explicit Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts Blurb: For twins Ryker and Ranger Good, life has never been easy. Kicked out of the house when they were barely eighteen, the brothers started a new life together. Now in their thirties they are ready to make a commitment, not only to each other but to the woman they’ve waited to claim for four years.
Lilly Bevin has been in love with the Good twins for years, only to be treated like a child by them. Now twenty-one, Lilly’s ready to spread her wings. Working in the town bar is just one of the ways she’s declaring her independence, dating is the other.
When the twins find out the woman they want is dating a smarmy hustler they try to talk some sense into her, only to be told to butt out. Now it’s up to them to tame their wildcat and bring her into the fold of their love. A wildcat however, has claws and Lilly isn’t shy about using hers to her advantage.
Reader Advisory: This book contains a twincest storyline, sexual intimacy between twins, and may be offensive to some readers. This is a TABOO story.
Publisher’s Note: This book is best read in sequence as part of a series. This book was previously released under the same title. It has been re-edited for re-release with Pride Publishing.
Review: I am going to be perfectly honest when I say twincest isn’t one of my favorite genres and I only read it by some of my favorite authors. I also don’t love ménage because it seems the female gets all the tension and there is never jealousy when you know there would be strong feelings at times. Well, Carole Lynn has conquered both twincest and a MMF ménage perfectly.
I loved this story. It is full of emotions and the relationship did not start out perfect. There was the jealousy and hard feelings. There was angst. Most of all there were great love that conquered it all.
I absolutely loved Ryker and Ranger and watching their characters grow from the other stories. I loved that Lily was patient it Ranger and showed him that she loved him as well as Ryker and he would always be a part of them.
If you like twincest, ménage, a very good romance, and some very hot sex… not just between two hot men but also with a woman and the ménage scenes were so hot you need a fire extinguisher (or cold shower)!

Title: It’s a Good Life, 2nd edition Series: Good-Time Boys, 05 Author: Carol Lynne Genre: Contemporary/ Cowboys Length: Novella (115 pages) Publisher: Pride Publishing (July 28 2015) Heat Level: Explicit Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts Blurb: Have you ever wondered what life would be like without you?

When a car accident forces Sonny’s newest health concern to the foreground, he begins to slide back into the pit of despair he’s worked so hard to crawl out of. What use will he be to his family and friends if he can’t lead a normal life?
When a seizure leaves Sonny in need of emergency care, a CT scan reveals the cause of his continued blackouts. Faced with a risky surgery, Sonny begins to wonder if his loved ones would’ve been better off if he’d died the day of the shooting.
Faced with the prospect of losing the man he loves, Garron is determined to show Sonny what he has to live for.
Reader Advisory: This book is best read in sequence as part of a series.
Publisher’s Note: This book was previously released under the same title. It has been re-edited for re-release with Pride Publishing.
Review: Sonny and Garron have been married a few years, but Sonny doesn’t even remember his wedding day or being shot. His seizures are getting worse, but he is hiding this from Garron.
Garron can see things are to right with Sonny especially after an accident when Sonny goes to help Lily after she has a flat. He understands Sonny wanting to be able to do the things he used to and not lose his ranch, but he doesn’t want to lose Sonny.
This story takes on a bit of a sadder edge with Sonny dealing with his issues. He wishes at times that he had died when he was shot. Not being able to remember his wedding day bothers him, so Garron wants to show him just how special Sonny is to not only him but his whole family. It’s bittersweet, sexy and heartwarming.
I have loved this series and getting another glimpse at Nate, Rio, and Ryan (let’s all go to Cattle Valley now)!
If you like sexy cowboys, a sweet romance, love that lasts through trials and tribulation, a good holiday story and some hot man-sex, this is for you

Title: Garron’s Gift, 2nd edition Series: Good-Time Boys 02 Author: Carol Lynne Genre: Contemporary/Cowboys/Romantic Suspense Length: Novella (91 pages) Publisher: Pride Publishing (July 14 2015) Heat Level: Explicit Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥5 Hearts Blurb: Garron Greeley thought he had it all—a great new job and the man of his dreams to call his own. When his lover Sonny sprang the idea of a commitment ceremony on him, Garron couldn’t have been happier. Except for a few men, the town seemed supportive of their relationship, and many showed up to witness their special day.
The ceremony is everything he hoped for, until an act of bigoted violence shatters Garron’s world, leaving his new husband in a pool of blood in the middle of the street. He’s left wondering if asking for everything will leave him with nothing.
Working with his new brother-in-law, Garron sets out to prove the identity of the shooter and bring him to justice. Along the way he learns that true love can have many different forms.
Reader Advisory: This book is best read in sequence as part of a series.
Publisher’s Note: This book was previously released by Totally Bound Publishing under the same title. It has been re-edited for re-release with Pride Publishing.
Review: After the shooting of Sonny on their wedding day by an unknown gunman, Garron and Rawley are doing everything they can to get the shooter. But the town is under the thumb of the shooters dad, and things are hard for Rawley.
Garron is dealing with Sonny’s moodiness and the fight for justice. He brings in a sexy friend from Chicago to help but will Nate help or cause more friction between Sonny and Garron?
There are several storylines in this book. It isn’t all about Garron and Sonny. Jeb and Rawley get a lot of attention as well and near the end we get a bit of Nate.
It’s a bit predictable, but it is superb. I loved all the suspense. I especially liked how real the healing of Sonny felt. His injury caused him to have memory loss and personality issues; he wasn’t instantly back to his old self, there was a struggle in the relationship.
I did feel this story needed to be more about Garron and Sonny since the title is Garron’s gift, but I did feel that storyline was complete even though the killer wasn’t yet brought to justice.
I really enjoyed this story, and am loving this series and the character’s being added to each account.
If you like ranchers, lawmen, gay romance, contemporary romance, suspense, and some hot man-sex, this is for you.

Love sometimes comes in threes.
With his mother plotting to have him wed, Niall decides to sneak out of the fae palace and fulfill one of his greatest fantasies. At the Unconventional bar, he finds a pair of lion shifters looking to spice up their love life. Unable to resist the strong attraction between them, Niall lets the persuasive pair take him home.
Jovan and Luka have been searching for their third for years. When Niall stumbles into the bar, their shifter instincts tell them the innocent fae could be their long sought mate. After a sensual night together, they’re certain the beautiful man was fated to be theirs.
His guards fetch him from the shifters’ bed and Niall is taken away from the pair. Upset about Niall’s return to the palace and a possible arranged marriage, the lion shifters battle to decide their future—should they go and fetch their mate or let it only be the one-night stand Niall promised them?
Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of M/M/M ménage.
‘The Unicorn Said Yes’ by T.A. Chase
When an innocent human virgin meets the king of the unicorn herd, it’s not just legends that come true.
Ivan Brusilov goes to Unconventional to get a drink and let off some steam. Little does he realize he’ll be meeting his destiny when he walks in.
Carney Ferguson goes to the paranormal bar to celebrate his twenty-fifth birthday. Maybe he’s looking for some fun as well, considering he’s still a virgin. He doesn’t like admitting it, but when he meets Ivan, he discovers that being a virgin can bring opportunities that being experienced might not.
As the unicorn king and the virgin begin to fall in love, there are darker forces working behind the scenes to take advantage of the unicorn legends for their own evil purpose. Neither Ivan nor Carney are safe alone, but together, they just might be strong enough to keep Ivan alive.
‘Blood on the Moon’ by Jambrea Jo Jones
Be careful what you wish for, especially when you’re a witch.
Montague Ramey wanted something to happen in his life. He thought when he found out he was a witch that his life would become more exciting, but it was the same thing every day. His coven was nice and boring, as was his job with the television station anchoring the news. The only excitement he got was going to the local bar, but there weren’t very many men who wanted to play. That was, until the moon turned red and his life changed.
After Kishar Nichelson’s motorcycle stalled on the highway with no traffic in sight, he stumbled into a small town around midnight, the red moon guiding his way. On the run and weak, Kishar needed to figure out where he was and who was after him before lack of sex killed him.
Can a witch and an incubus solve the mystery before one of them dies? The blood on the moon wasn’t the only thing they had to worry about. Meddling family, close calls with death and a missing witch are enough to keep anyone busy, but can Kishar and Montague still find time for love?
‘A Sliver of Sunset’ by Devon Rhodes
From one-night stand to nurse and patient—is it crazy to expect more?
Angelo has somehow developed leukemia—the only paranormal ever known to do so—and the doctors are mystified as to the cause. The cure requires him to repress his shifter side with a chemical inhibitor and be entirely human while he goes through chemotherapy, which contributes to some interesting situations he never would have foreseen—things like ‘misplacing’ his favorite bar, Unconventional, and getting picked up by a human without realizing it’s his mate.
Dominic can’t believe his luck when bravely striking up a conversation with the hottest guy he’s ever seen leads to the best sex he’s ever had. When he wakes up—no surprise—Angelo is gone. A week later, he’s shocked when he walks in to meet a new oncology patient to find Angelo fighting for his life and dependent upon his care.
Will their timing ever improve, or will Angelo’s time run out before they get a chance?
Review: When sexy humans and paranormals meet in a club set up for drinks, it is going to get hot. This is one of the cutest, sexiest, extremely hot and a perfect story to read. You get all different types of paranormals that will intrique you and captivate your heart. I always look forward to stories written by some of my favorite authors and I was not disappointed at all.
‘Fate’s Bridge’ by Carol Lynne ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts
Roman, Alexi and Bodi what a combination. Roman had been deeply in love with Julian. The problem was Julian passed on with a bit of pain. He had promised to come back. Roman had held on. Then over time, Roman met Bodi with Alexi’s help. Alexi was Romans brother by vampire ways not by birth. He had not expected to be bonded to Alexi also.
Damn this was a very hot story even if it was way too short to fall in love with. I do hope that Carol turns around and expands this story. I would definitely buy that book.
‘Coming in Third’ by Amber Kell ♥♥♥♥♥5 Hearts
Niall, Jovan and Luka are a sight to see. Niall was going to be forced into a marriage by his bitch of a mother, but for once he had other ideas. He was going to have a ménage a trios with two sexy men. He was shocked to find the two in lion shifters and what’s more they were his mates. Although he hadn’t known that at the time. Leave it to Jovan and Luka to save the day. Hot damn these three are hot.
Amber always gives one a good story. This was definitely hot and sexy, too bad it was to short to get more than a taste. I hope Amber expands it and turns it into a story on its own. I would definitely be the first to buy it.
‘The Unicorn Said Yes’ by T.A. Chase ♥♥♥♥♥5 Hearts
Carney and Ivan are a unique pair that is for sure. Ivan is the Unicorn king and Carney is the son of hunters. Carney had been given permission to go out finally and he was going to have fun. Although he had not expect Ivan.
This one was a bit stranger that is for sure. I wasn’t really sure what to think about it. I did have fun reading it. It is one of a very few list of books which have unicorns in it, so it makes it a truly fascinating story.
‘Blood on the Moon’ by Jambrea Jo Jones ♥♥♥♥♥5 Hearts
Montague and Kishar are two hot men that I wouldn’t mind seeing in action. Kishar was an incubi and his kind needed sex to survive. He was against killing. Montague was surprised when he found Kishar outside of his home. He was even more surprised to find out that Kishar was for him. Montague was a powerful witch who has found his mate.
This was better than I thought it would be. Jambrea gave another good story. Now if only she would expand it and give me a book to buy. Because this little taste left me wanting more. It was an exciting story that had a bit of a twist.
‘A Sliver of Sunset’ by Devon Rhodes ♥♥♥♥♥5 Hearts
Dominic and Angelo are a love story for sure. You get to meet Angel in Amber’s story. He is a sex little merman who has found out that para’s can get cancer. He went to the club, to find it gone, but ended up meeting Dominic. Dominic is the perfect nurse for when you get ill. These two are just so damn sweet. Dominic is in fact Angel’s nurse and so much more.
This was a cute little story that did intrigue me. I have not ever read a story that involved mermen so it was a different type of story, plus cancer added in made it intriguing. It was so damn short that all I got was a taste. I would love for Devon to expand it with more details and history. It would be a book that I would purchase that is for sure.
Overall
I definitely would go to this bar. It looks interesting and sounds perfect. It invites humans and paranormals for a drink. I had a great time with it and look forward to reading more by these amazing authors. I had a blast with this book and would definitely recommend it.
Title: Big Man on the Campus Series: Campus Cravings, #20 Author: Carol Lynne Genre: Contemporary/ Interracial Length: Novella (80 pages) Publisher: Pride Publishing (Aug 4th, 2015) Heat Level: Explicit Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Hearts Blurb: What happens when the man you think you want isn’t the man you need?
After his high school sweetheart breaks up with him, Benny Allenbrand arrives at college intent on winning back Chase. Unfortunately, Chase isn’t speaking to him, forcing Benny to seek comfort elsewhere.
Jamie Whitmore is the son of a conservative senator from Connecticut, and on his own after coming out to his father. His life is messy enough without falling in lust with a six-foot-seven football player who happens to be in love with another man.
What starts out as a purely physical relationship between Benny and Jamie soon has both men embroiled in political controversy. Will the media coverage tear them apart or bring them together?
Reader Advisory: This book contains some racist language.
Review: Benny heads off to college determined to win back his high-school sweetheart Chase whom has dumped him for an older man. Benny is sure once Chase sees how well toned up he is now and is seeing him on the field regularly he will be ready to take him back.
Jamie is the son of a senator that hasn’t been happy. He finally decides to dome out and pursue his degree in potter instead of political science. When his father wants him to join him to help him win over what his father calls ‘his peers’ Jamie refuses. Knowing he will be cut off he stays in his professor’s pool house waiting for a room to open. He sees Benny at the local bar and is interested right away but Benny makes it clear it is sex only until he wins Chase back.
I liked this story. It brings back some characters from Cattle Valley. It is cool seeing the kid’s from there growing up into men and dealing with new problems. I even liked the cockiness of Benny and felt sorry for him knowing he didn’t stand a chance with Chase. There were times I wanted to knock the crap out of him but his actions were true to an 18-year-old football player.
I really liked Jamie and felt sorry for him a lot. I felt the two were a perfect balance and I liked the small twists that kept the story interesting. And in true Carole Lynn style it is very sexy!
I will say I felt the epilogue was a bit rushed, but I did like seeing how the story ended!
If you like college football players, pottery, interracial romances, a touch of drama and some very hot man-sex this is for you!

Over the years, Jasper has shared Mojo with many different women, but he senses April is different. As they grow closer, he begins to wonder if he and Mojo will walk away with their bond intact or if the affair with April will forever change the face of their relationship.
This book is connected to Joey’s First Time, although it can be read as a standalone book.
**Publisher’s Note: This is a revised and updated version of a previously published title.
Review: April is a normal everyday woman. She is easy to relate to. She is not perfect and finds fault with her body. She has been hurt by men in the past by always expecting more from a relationship. When she meets bartender Mojo at a bar she is instantly attracted. She surprised when he shows a mutual attractions. She is even more surprised when she learns he is in a long-term relationship with another man, Jasper.
She takes the bulls by the head and decides to explore a purely sexual relationship with the two men. She gets to live a true fantasy of many women everywhere. Two hot and sexy men giving all focused on her and each other. Hot damn, this was smoking.
The book was short, but it gave all the needed information. The writing was well done and had a good pacing. Honestly MMF is not my preferred reading. However, as April was so relatable I actually enjoyed her being involved. It was nice to see an everyday normal woman get the two sexy men all to herself.
Good read with a very happy ending.

Blurb: Spreading acceptance one town at a time.
When the town of Cattle Valley runs out of room for new construction, Asa Montgomery begins to look into alternative locations. He discovers a small fishing village in Maine for sale and begins to make plans to purchase the picturesque town of Lobster Cove.
Unfortunately, setting up a new community takes him away from his partner, Mario, who isn’t pleased about being left behind.
Meanwhile, after years of dancing around their mutual attraction, Cullen Bryant decides the time has come to lay his feelings for Joseph Allenbrand on the line. Unfortunately, his plan is cut short when Joseph sends him away with no other explanation than he should move on.
Joseph knew sending Cullen away was the kindest thing to do for the younger man, but when he hears Cullen truly may be moving on, he realizes it’s time to reevaluate his life. Will he work out his issues in time to save what he’s spent years denying?
Review: Wouldn’t it be great to have a town that is all like-minded people? Where everyone is Gay or gay-friendly? That’s what cattle valley is. Asa Montgomery, a man with money enough to buy a town (or two) worked hard with his friends to build Cattle Valley. It wasn’t easy but now it’s filling up fast. It is getting so full that now they are having to take applications for new residents.
Asa has sold most of his businesses and focuses on Montgomery enterprises the software company that keeps Cattle Valley going and gives him more time with his sexy Italian husband Mario.
A call from Joseph about one of his boys being stabbed has Asa seriously considering buying the quaint Lobster Cove that Mario has shown him a few days ago.
This is book 32 of the Cattle Valley series. You probably could read this without reading the others as Carol is good at dropping a bit of information so you do know the characters. And there are a lot of characters. I really do think it is best though if you have read the series.
This looks like a setup for a new series and I am doing the happy dance! I love Cattle Valley and am looking forward to more of these men and lots of new men and new situations.
This also gives us more on Cullen and Joseph.
So if you like Millionaires (or billionaires) sexy gym workers, ex-priests that run homeless boys shelters, and are looking for a new series to follow this is for you. Oh, don’t forget some hot man-sex!
Blurb: Wheelchair-bound, Kyle Brynn loves his home above the bakery he owns and runs. He’s proud of everything he’s managed to accomplish since the accident six years ago that took the use of his legs. At the age of twenty-six, he’s an independent man living on his own, despite the protests from his family.
However, with his independence comes loneliness. It’s not the townspeople’s fault that they see him as less of a man, it’s his.
Darshawn ‘Gill’ Gilling quit professional football at the height of his career without a word to the press as to why. Now settled in Cattle Valley, Gill’s happy running his garage and gas station. His life is much easier since coming out of the closet to his friends and family. He just wishes he’d had someone to come out for.
Most folks in town tend to be a little awestruck when Gill comes around, but if he wanted fans, he’d have stayed in football. What he really wants is that cute little baker down the street.
Review: This is book three in this amazing series and you should read the books in order to get a full idea of each wonderful character. This story I think is my absolute favorite one so far. I think it is because it is so tender and caring. I loved it so much even more than the last. The pain the Kyle feels when he thinks that he will always be alone because he is stuck in the wheel chair makes me want to cry sometimes. He feels that no one will want him, but he’s so very wrong. Gill wants him whether he is in a wheel chair or not. Gill is falling in love with the little man.
At first, Kyle puts up roadblocks, but Gill wins him over. Then one day his doctor had told him that his kind of spinal injury wasn’t as bad as they thought. That with the use of a physical therapist he might be able to walk again. The only thing was there was not one in Cattle Valley, and he didn’t want to go for fear that Gill would find someone else to love. He has lots of feelings, but he is so insecure in others. He doesn’t trust that someone would stay with him no matter what.
Gill come up with a plan to prove that he would stick through it all for the love of his man. However, it backfires and hurts them both. Kyle thinks that Gill is like everyone else so he doesn’t trust his motives and leaves. I love the way they are together though. You can that these two men love each other and that Kyle have to overcome his pain and anger to move forward.
I think that this story has more feeling in it. It makes what is happening so much more real to you. The fact that he was hurt in a car accident after drinking one night when he was younger and giving up is something that a lot of people do. However, he had chosen to move forward, by moving out, owning his own business and just living again, he just thought he was going to have do it alone. Gill proves him wrong all the way around and I love that about Gill. He is so supportive and caring to Kyle that you love him even more.
I would definitely be recommending this story to those who loves two hot and sexy men, difficult decisions, overcoming all challenges set in front of you, passionate sex, and amazing people. I loved it and cannot wait to read book four.

Blurb: The Reverend Casey Sharp loves his church, his congregation, and his community. He just wishes they loved him in return. Paying for the sins of his predecessor has left him feeling like an outcast.
Contractor Halden Kuckleman, loves his quiet life. After a childhood trauma, Hal gave up on love and God. When hired by the church to finish work on a new meeting room, he tells himself it’s just a job like any other. He’s fine working on the addition as long as Reverend Sharp doesn’t try to save him.
With a tight deadline for getting the room finished, Hal begins to wonder how he’s going to get the work done before the annual Christmas Eve party.
When Casey offers to lend a hand however, he begins to wonder if the willowy minister will help or lead him straight into temptation.
Review: This is book two in the Cattle Valley series and is best read in sequence. This is a beautiful and touching story.
It shows that a Reverend can be loving and caring, instead of one that judges and condemns. Casey loves his church, his congregation and his community, however he felt like he was missing something. He felt like an outcast because of his predecessor being an abusive jerk. The man is spending the rest of his life in prison, but the community still felt like Casey had to prove to them that he was a good man, a good Reverend. He had wanted to have a big hall built for Christmas parties, and dinners. However, it was so close to the holidays it was getting harder to find someone to help build it. He had contacted Halden and asked him.
The only problem with that is Halden hated anything and anyone religious. Casey just had to show him what he can offer to the man. His love, attention and all that goes into it. When Casey gets violently ill due to stress, Halden starts realizing what he is feeling for the man. He is falling in love with Casey, now all he has to do is get over his anger at god.
Casey loves Halden, but Halden is afraid that once he tells Casey why he is angry with god, Casey won’t want him anymore. They have normal difficulties that every couple has, however he needs to help Halden turn back to god. You can tell from the way they act with each other though that they love each other. You can also tell that they will do everything in the powers to make their relationship work. The sex between these two will set the sheets on fire. They have so much passion and spark that you will be fanning yourself down every time you read this.
I loved this story, just because most of the times you hear about religious people talking down to those they think are in the wrong. They condemn people for being who they are instead of welcoming them with open arms. However, Casey being a Reverend and gay might be the only difference there though. He comes off as gentle, loving, caring, and so open that you can’t help but love him. I would go to one of his sermons that’s for sure. He helps anyone that needs it, but feels like he is fighting against the wind because of the last Reverend. Halden goes out and talks to the congregation and gets them to realize that his man is a decent and caring man. Enough to even draw out the hate and turn it into love for Halden.
I would recommend this story to anyone who needs their heartstrings toughed a little, two very sexy men, smoking hot sex, great community, and lots of love. I loved this book and cannot wait to read book three.
Title: Sunset Ridge, 2nd edition Author: Carol Lynne Genre: Contemporary/Cowboys/Western Length: Novella (99 pages) Publisher: Resplendence Publishing (August 12, 2014) Heat Level: Moderate Heart Rating: ♥♥♥♥3.5Hearts Blurb: After the death of his father, Grayson Conner finds himself running Sunset Ridge Stables, a prosperous horse breeding operation just outside of Wellington, Arkansas. I read it a few years ago when it was first published with Totally Bound, which I remembered later. Generally, I love Carol Lynne’s books, particularly the Campus Cravings and Cattle Valley series. However, Sunset Ridge leaves me feeling confused.
After much thought, I figured it out: there is one particularly annoying (bitchy, spoiled) character that quite frankly, ruins the story and makes the first half particularly difficult to get through. It’s Gray’s niece Raleigh, so she is quite a central character throughout. But please, just keep going, because not only does this character mature and do a complete 180, her antics aren’t particularly central to the book. However, I can’t work out why Raleigh had a sudden change in heart and quickly grew up and matured, it would have been better if she started to mature slowly from the beginning.
Otherwise, this is a very enjoyable story. We have two cowboys have hot sex, always a winner. The cowboys in question, Gray and Ram, also have a sweet relationship that forms. Like all cowboys, they start out in the closet, but soon discover that there is a good reason to come out if they need to. There is also the background story between Jesse and Ben, which completely makes up for the Raleigh debacle. I think it would be awesome if Jesse Ben had their own story.

Blurb: For rancher, Ezra James, life is pretty simple. He wakes before dawn and spends his day working with the cattle he loves. For twenty years, the EZ Does It ranch has been enough to drown out his loneliness and guilt. To the world, he appears impervious to everything. The only chink in his armor – the man who owns the clothing store in town.
Palmer ‘Wyn’ Wynfield caught Ezra’s eye the first time the rancher stepped foot in the store. Though Ezra knew his large size intimidated others, his little self-confidence was shattered when Palmer backed away in apparent fear. In a moment of self-preservation, he referred to Wyn as Mr. Fancy Pants. That was six years ago, and he’s never been forgiven.
An early morning phone call changes all that. Though the line is scratchy, Ezra definitely hears the words he’s been waiting to hear for years. “I need you.”
This is book four in the Cattle Valley series. See the full series listing here
Review: This is book four to this amazing series however they should be read in order so that you get to know the wonderful characters. Characters that you will come to love. Each one has their own tragic story or painful story to tell. They are amazing and so full of love for each other that you can’t help but cheer them on.
Wyn and Ezra have been fighting the attraction between them. Ezra had gotten his feelings hurt the first time he walked into Wyn’s store, that he called him fancy pants. Which in turn hurt Wyn’s feelings. They were feeling like they were less than what they truly were. Pain from the past kept coming into their present lives. Until Wyn goes back to Oklahoma to settle his late father’s home and ranch. Everyone in his hometown was homophobic and was threatening him. Of course, it was funny when he calls Ezra to help him out. Ezra was screwing with their heads. Being very open about their lifestyles. But they both admit how they feel for each other.
When they came back to Cattle Valley things were getting better, except Ezra’s friends were giving Wyn a hard time. It seemed that everywhere they went, feelings were running hot. People looked at Ezra’s height and were frightened of him. However, he realized that if he came off friendlier that people tended not to be scared of him. He also realized how much he truly loved Wyn and how much Wyn loved him in return.
They have many things that they need to settle, but they realize that they have to do it together. I loved this story and would recommend reading it. If you love tender stories with so much heart then you will definitely love this series. Each one gets better and better. I can’t wait to read book five.

This is book one in the Cattle Valley series, see the full series listing here
Review: This is the first book in the Cattle Valley series, and it would be best when read in sequence.
Population 2,823 Welcome to Cattle Valley, an alternative, private community where your sexual preference isn’t an issue, it’s the size of your heart that counts. The city of Cattle Valley was founded by millionaire Charles Beauregard on behalf of his only son and heir, Joshua Beauregard. The victim of a hate-crime, Joshua was murdered on April 13, 1972 in San Francisco, California. After the murder of his son, Charles began making plans to use his wealth and land to insure a safe haven for gays and their families to live in peace. Charles spent the remainder of his life working and seeing that his vision came to fruition.
Now, twenty-three years after its dedication, Cattle Valley, Wyoming is a thriving small town. Drop by for a visit, and say hello to our sheriff, Ryan Blackfeather and his two partners, Nate Gills and Rio Adega. After their partner had taken the sheriff job, Nate and Rio were going to join him finally.
Nate was a four hundred-dollar shoes and fancy sport convertible type car guy. He was also the most sweetest person ever. Always willing to help anyone that needs a hand. At one time Nate had feelings for Rio and Ryan but figured since those two were already in a committed relationship they wouldn’t want him. He had found himself at a club surrounded by men, when one had spiked his drink. Rio and Ryan had showed up and saved his butt from getting raped. They have been together since.
Nate was told that him and Rio needed warmer clothes and they had went into this store, which Nate figured definitely didn’t have anything he would possibly want to wear. Boy was he surprised when they had cashmere sweaters and the guy who owned it was just as sweet and cute as can be. He was also in trouble from the bruise Nate had seen. Deciding he had to find out what he could about the man who was hurting his new friend, he decided to use his investigative skills.
The problem with that is Ryan and Rio had to help him, even if they had to hide while watching the man they loved. It had not been easy when they lived in Texas, what with them being three men in a relationship. Too many people frowned down on them so when Ryan had been offered the sheriff’s job he took it. Rio however didn’t really know what to do considering he usually went on long distance jobs keeping people safe. However, he would do anything and everything to keep Nate happy. They would also do everything in the power to keep Nate safe. Which was funny because Nate was a black belt in four different martial arts, but he was little in size, which made his bear of men cuddle him more?
I had come across this series by accident while shopping for one of my favorite authors. When I realized the book I had wanted was in the twenties, I knew I wanted to start with the first book in the series so that I could get to know each and every character there is in it. I am very pleased with it, because this book was an absolute pleasure to read. I loved the way Nate was and how the fact that each of his men loved him so very much that they would give up a lot of things to make him happy and keep him safe.
I also loved the way that Ryan and Rio were loved back. They have the perfect three some relationship, and everyone knows how hard it is to keep that type of relationship together. Usually there is a lot of jealousy among at least one of the partners, however in this story there is none of that. The only time I saw Nate mad was when he found out that Ryan and Rio followed him to keep him safe. I loved it, that they can show their feelings so open and out. I also loved that Cattle Valley had a place that was a safe haven for men and women in difficult relationships that they would usually get hurt either physically or verbally.
This is one of the best series I have read in quite a while. If you love three sexy men, hot loving, tender feelings, dangers coming from someone unexpected, beautiful people, then you will love this wonderful book. I cannot wait to get started reading book two. I would recommend reading this series. You won’t be disappointed.
