Review: Now I have found another favorite book, the only problem I found was it wasn’t long enough. I can understand the pain of losing a love one, but for a father to hurt his son I cannot understand.
Nick had promised his mother and had followed through with it up until he meets his mate. He was so scared of everything. He wanted his wishes to come true, especially a special one of having his mate.
Jaxon’s father and mother had ended their relationship when his father had found his mate. He had moved to Australia with his mother only to come back when his father wanted to train him to take his place as the next Alpha. What he had not expected, when he arrived and decided to get some coffee, was his mate being there. Also, that his mate would deny him. He had to find away to help his mate see that they were meant to be together. He also had to help his mate forgive himself for breaking his promise, but to understand that this was a promise he should never had to deal with in the first place. Could he get his mate to understand that he was there for him in every way?
This was not only a beautiful story, but a heart breaking one also. I felt like beating the tar out of Nick’s father and holding Nick close. He has the ability to overcome all the pain from his life but he has to trust in himself and his mate. I would have loved to see where this goes. It would have made an excellent story if it had been longer. I would recommend reading this story and checking out the rest of Jess’s books. It will make you cry out in outrage for Nick and wish you could help Jaxon with his mate’s pain.
